Negative experience: **Edit** - 7.31.25 for the remarks I made below and following up with the manager they canceled my membership. I wouldn’t give this business another dime if I were you. Downtown gym was cool until they started allowing group fitness classes in a very small space pushing all of the members out who don’t attend these classes. Management doesn’t care about member comments as long as their collecting checks on those group classes. Weak sauce @Ridge

Fantastic experience: The downtown location has recently been remodeled and the new layout is much better. The bathrooms are separate but other are co-ed but it works great. Locking shower and changing rooms. Locking lockers. Plenty of cardio and weight machines for any workout. They also have a great hiit type workout area.

Fantastic experience: The Ridge downtown is a very convenient option for people working in the downtown area. The facility is always clean and employees are always friendly and keep the gym very tidy and clean. There is a great selection of weight lifting equipment and cardio machines, given its smaller size. The gym has private showers and private changing rooms, making it comfortable for any gym go-er to get dressed/undressed/shower. The new remodel is a great upgrade to the previous facility. The gym even includes a full sized sauna and x2 massage chairs.

Fantastic experience: Gym is great, clean, friendly staff… great location … but the hours are borderline unacceptable. Open early but closes way too early. 9:00 is too early let alone 8 pm or 6 pm! 10 pm, PLEASE.

Fantastic experience: Logan does a great job running this place. The most clean and organized gym I’ve been to. I don’t love the open layout with no dedicated men’s locker room, but it makes sense for the space. Perfect for a quick workout downtown.

Perhaps the best part though, is the always friendly and helpful people of the Ridge-DT. As highly recommended as you can get!

Negative experience: As a long time member, I was disappointed by the new bathrooms. The unisex approach doesn’t feel safe. Bummed, and will not be coming back to the DT location.

Negative experience: Steam room is broken. Sinks and showers don't work. Water fountains barely work. What's with gyms in this town not being able to fix simple things?

Negative experience: I have been to the downtown ridge many times over the years, and was previously a member and enjoyed it. However I went this week, and discovered that membership and daily rates had gone up dramatically. Then while working out, I discovered that many of their machines were “out of order” and unusable. Even the water fountain was broken! I assume they have probably been affected by supply chain issues like many businesses, however I can’t imagine how they can justify raising prices with so many broken machines. Will not come back again

Negative experience: So I signed up at this gym because a friend said this gym was awesome, but ever since I signed up the customer service has been kind of awful. I love the feeling of coming to a gym and feeling comfortable and encouraged to come back, but for this gym you never feel welcomed. I feel you have to be part of an in crowd to just feel welcomed. I was waiting in line standing waiting to be helped, while a representative was helping two people and this guy happen to walk around me and sit down and when the two people were done being helped the representative looked up at me then looked at the guy and started to help him as if I wasn’t waiting to be helped. I seriously never leave reviews and never care to, but I felt I had to because you really don’t feel welcomed. There’s probably one person that works at this gym that actually acknowledges me and asked how I’ve been. But overall the environment and the rudeness was not what I was expecting. The best thing I feel to do for this gym now is walk in with headphones and just ignore the staff because what’s the point of even saying hello. The gym itself is a nice gym with different things to do for your workouts and I’ve had good encounters with people that workout here and good conversations with customers, but as for the staff sorry to say is terrible. I’m even a bit bummed out to post this, but I felt I had too.

Positive experience: Would be five if the steam room worked.

Positive experience: Would be five stars if the club put more recourses into this location the same way they are at the big location. The facility is great however things like the steam room have been broken for years. I would absolutely bring this review to 5 stars if maintenance and improvements were taken more seriously at this location.

Positive experience: It is in a convenient spot, but needs some updating.

Negative experience: It's really bad there, dirty showers, weights not organized, staff not trained not friendly. No customer service at all.

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym in Bozeman, and the best bang for your buck downtown! The staff are all top notch, especially Campbell who can set you up with a great routine with an amazing monthly deal to go along with it. My only regret with the Ridge is not joining sooner!

Negative experience: This gyms policies are binding, be aware of the commitment and all the contingencies, as you will be required to maintain a whole year without termination. I was misguided by staff and am left with a terrible experience. This place has lost my recommendation completely.

Fantastic experience: I love the staff there, they are so kind and helpful! I can always find a machine to use, but I prefer the group fitness classes for my workouts. There are a lot of options out there for cardio and strength training classes. The Bodyflow (Tai chi, pilates, yoga mix) class is my favorite! Nothing better than using the steam room after a work out!

Positive experience: Went there because the other one is being cleaned, and it is a nice little gym. Everything I needed was available and more... If crush there again!

Fantastic experience: I love it here. It is always clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I never have to wait for my turn on the equipment. The steam room and sauna in the ladies locker room are perfect for wrapping up a workout, and the family changing rooms are great when I happen to bring a miniature guest along!

Positive experience: Nice satellite of it's big brother club, without the pretentious of elitist meatheads. The locker room needs updating though... separate the bathroom, fix (and clean) the steam room, and de-grunge the shower room floor. Good selection of equipment, classes and low traffic are all pluses!

Positive experience: August 2017 Edit: Coincidence or not, two of my complaints were addressed within a couple weeks of posting this review. The ammonia stench was removed, and a second power rack has been added. The barbell area was rearranged to provide more room for activities! I now no longer dislike this place. Original Review: I've been stuck at the downtown location during locker room renovations at the main location. I don't see any reason why you would pay the exorbitant Ridge prices just to go to the downtown location. It's small, dirty, and smells like ammonia. There's only a single power rack and very little space to do any serious barbell work. The only good thing I can say about it is that it's quiet. I can't wait for the renovations to be done with so I can return to the decent location.
