Positive experience: I like it, but it is run down. I heard rumors they're moving and I think they're letting this location go and not putting effort into upkeep.

Negative experience: Bought a 5 time pass before covid and “they couldn’t find it” so I’m out $100. Staff was unhelpful and unkind.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and staff.

Fantastic experience: This is an honest gym in Boulder. I come here to swim with my 4 year old daughter because the Boulder rec center pools are rarely open to children. I also come here to run fast on the treadmills.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and pool for just about any sport you want to do. Two pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub, squash, pickleball, weights, treadmills, etc. They even have a Lever Movement machine on a treadmill (bring your own shorts)! This isn't a luxurious facility (no towel service) but it has all you need. The staff is fantastic and super chill. Prices are reasonable and unlike a lot of gyms, it's not a struggle to quit and stop payments. I also love the fact that masters swimming is free and offered at least once a day.

Fantastic experience: I left Colorado Athletic Club to come to RallySport & love this place. The outdoor and indoor pool are fantastic as is the hot tub. The showers are hot and locker rooms decent. The staff is super nice and the clientele super friendly and personable! Plus it's cheaper than CAC.

Fantastic experience: OHMYGOD! RallySport is AWESOME! From the very first contact (they *actually answer their phone*! Like, a REAL person answers the phone, not one of those infernal voice menu hells)! And they are so incredibly helpful! I had a question and the person was like "I'm not sure, let me find someone who can answer that for you"..and they did!! And, did you know that RallySport is *not* part of any chain? They are a locally owned and operated, single-location gym that has been part of Boulder for 40 years!! In an age of mega-gyms and impersonal service, RallySport has managed to buck the trend, and stay true to both their and Boulder's roots. Patronize this local, service-oriented gym! You won't be sorry!

Negative experience: I shut down my successful chicago performance and health business in chicago and moved my family to colorado to work for Rally Sport/Erin Carson. It was in fact the WORST business decision I've made in my twenty year career! I would NOT recommend any fitness professional work at this facility. Instead of this company utilizing my skills to help members, I spent my shifts folding towels instead with NO support from management. Don't make the mistake I did, stay far away from this place.

Fantastic experience: I'm not a typical 5-star hander-outer type, but I have to say my personal overall experience with RallySport has been really quite phenomenal! What constitutes PHENOMENAL, you might be wondering? I will tell you. My initial tour of the facility by Dorothy was thorough, professional, and not one bit pushy. The Front Desk staff are all friendly - shoutouts to Mateo, Piper, Andrew, Lori, Jenn, and Dorothy! Trainers are cool and chill, too.. I have only met two - Shane and Megan. But here's what I really like - the other people working out are warm (not like annoyingly over-friendly as if overdosed on sugar) but just a REAL kind of friendly you'd expect from a locally-owned. I've enjoyed this aspect, and it's WHY I chose to go with a local gym vs a chain, because I knew I would feel more of a community at a place like Rally. Not disappointed. Sure, it's COVID... it's quieter, but I will say there's plenty to do at this gym for me! And everything is nicely spread out with a vast variety of equipment and free weights spread throughout. Battle ropes, Powerslides, ski ergs, ski mill, a quad mill, the standard machines you come to expect, etc. I was reluctant to become a "gym" person because I'm usually not into them for a myriad of reasons, but this one--RallySport--is really meeting and blowing away my expectations. I guess I will stick around and become a "gym" person after all. The first person I met as I approached the facility on my first day was someone who, when I asked if she liked Rally, she said, "I've been a member for 27 years." I figure that means something!

Negative experience: Stopped by today to tour the gym and there was nobody on staff to give a tour. Woman at front said we could not tour alone bc of covid unless we paid $25 each for a guest pass... then we could tour safely. She was quite impolite about it, and it was apparent that our wanting to join was inconvenient to her. Sorry we tried, I wouldn't recommend the place, very unwelcoming.

Negative experience: The gym has been closed for 12 weeks and I’m still being charged $110 each month. I cannot believe my membership was not put on hold. How can you guys be charging me a monthly fee when I cannot even go to the gym. Unacceptable and very sneaky!

Fantastic experience: Was in town for a research conference, and found RallySport nearby my hotel. Was very pleased with the warm and welcoming staff, plenty of equipment, and of course a few local ironman celeb sightings getting their workout in as well to cap off a very pleasant gym experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been in a lot of gyms on earth! I have to say RallySport is at the top. "Size does not always matter". The level of attention to detail is remarkable. A lot of focus in this gym, goes to biomechanics.

Fantastic experience: Nice little place to work out. I notice that the maintenance guy there on weekends (his name is Nick) was helpful and very nice! I wanted to give him a shout out because I noticed how hard of a worker he is and how you can see he cares about the work he does. Apart from that this gym is nice and cozy, it's kept clean and the heated pool is awesome!

Positive experience: **Caution** kind of a rant, but good info for a young/old professionals looking for a good gym. After being a member for about 4 months now, I can say overall I've enjoyed going here. I've been in Boulder for 4 years now and had trouble finding a truly decent gym. Colorado Athletic Club was too small, overcrowded, and very very disgusting. Yes I tried both in the area. Tried a few of the trainer-only spots, then a couple boutiques, climbing gyms and so on. All in all, size, price, crowd, and cleanliness were my biggest issues. After a few recommendations from friends and acquaintances in Boulder, my girlfriend and I decided to join RallySport. Right off the bat I could see it was (kinda) clean, better equipped and most of all, the staff was very pleasant! I'll add that I'm a 24 year old professional where most of my time is put into 60-100 hour weeks. Saying that I go during the down times mostly and the gym is quiet and empty. On the other hand, if I don't make it in the morning; lunch or after 5ish are my main times. The first day I was in the locker room, a naked child sprinted into the locker area, jumped up onto the bench right behind me, then started jumping up and down like a kid in a hotel. When I asked him to get down he asked "WHY?". I don't have kids, I'm not explaining why I don't want this child's nakedness in my proximity. I brushed that off but then it just became a constant thing. Naked rude children playing around in the locker room. This is where my frustration really got bad, the steam, sauna, and whirlpool are a playground. I've lost count of the times that I'm trying to relax in the steam or sauna and multiple children run in being loud and disrespectful, then run out. Using the whirlpool is out of the question for me after seeing 6 kids playing around. I get it. Boulder has tons of families and it is by far one of the MOST family-friendly places I've lived. There has to be a limit to it at some point though. Especially when the prices for a gym here are what they are. I grew up learning manners and respect for those around me, especially in a locker room or similar scenario. Sad that truly not one kid that I've been in these unfortunately close circumstances with has the consideration to do the same. I'll wrap up possibly the longest non-helpful review I've written by saying this. It's not the staff, they are awesome and I've had zero issues on that front. If you're a young or old professional looking for a professional gym, THIS IS NOT IT. Like I said, I know its Boulder, but the kids have zero supervision and run around like they're at camp butt-naked. Lastly, its realistically been 10-15 years since the locker rooms have been redone, they are really bad. Might try one boulder fitness in the future. Hopefully this helps some people!

Negative experience: Had to leave due to tragic circumstances and RallySport was unwilling to budge or work with me whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: I’ve researched and sampled several athletic and sports clubs and this is IMHO the best club in Boulder for serious athletic training. The Masters swim classes by Rob are world-class. It was amazing to be training alongside iron men and women. Amenities are terrific: always a warm greeting, plenty of fresh towels, clean facilities, helpful staff. There are so many offerings here I wish I’d had more time during training season to take advantage of the plethora of fitness classes, personal training, court sports, climbing walls, etc. It is truly impressive how much sporty goodness is stuffed into their facilities. And, what a terrific value! Highly recommend...!

Fantastic experience: We LOVE RallySport! The staff, trainers and owners are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Our last visit there we were super impressed when one of the swim instructors, Greg, asked if he could help our son with water safety techniques after seeing him jump too close to edge. He just did it to help and didn’t ask for anything in return. Needless to say we were so impressed we ended asking if he gave lessons and signed up. Thanks RallySport and thank you again Greg!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym for athletes! I've read the 1-star reviews, and I assume the gym has fixed the issues mentioned because they aren't issues (cleanliness of bathrooms etc). The only thing I am a bit turned off by is the fact that the classes included in the membership are a bit outdated (no Les Mills, circuit classes etc.) The 'add on' classes are excellent, but expensive. Spinning classes are incredibly good (and included), the trainers are some of the best in the world, and everyone is extremely friendly. I was surprised to read that someone found the gym cliquey, I found the exact opposite. Highly recommended gym, especially for athletes.

Negative experience: Glad to see aspects of the gym (exercise rooms and equipment) have been upgraded over the years. More or less a good selection of equipment. The free weight room is a still a bit cramped. They've done absolutely nothing with the locker rooms. The place is absolutely disgusting. The shower room is showing rust spots, mold and mildew, the ceiling panels are warped. The floors are nasty, the carpeting, everything! It appears they make little to no effort in keeping things clean. The lockers are dirty. The place is claustrophobic. The entire space needs a complete overhaul -- too much to mention. I used to be a member over 10 years ago (nothing has changed since then) and am considering signing back up again - but this is my only hangup. At $107/mo I would expect first class and clean but that's not what you get.

Positive experience: Rallysport has been around for a long time! It's a nice place if you have little kids. Great day care and outdoor play pool. The new owner is making it triathlete friendly, so there is always water all over the floor in the locker room, and they need to invest in the Pilates program, but the trainers, staff and members are warm and friendly.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stopped here while in town for Ironman Boulder. There is a great variety of fitness classes, a pretty awesome recovery room (including massages), and a bar to grab a post workout smoothie. We'll be back the next time we're in Boulder!

Cynthia Harris 12 years ago

Positive experience: Great yoga and fitness classes. Nice outdoor pool. Its kind of a drag how they charge extra for so many amenities and the place is crawling with noisy children. Also, on the down side the outdoor pool is full of swimteam from 3-7pm.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely no idea what the previous poster can mean by RallySport being a meat market, it is a very professional and serious gym with a minimum of poser factor. The equipment and the instructors are first class all the way, and the members dedicated and focused atheletes. There are 3 floors of class and equipment rooms, plus 2 pools and raquetball courts. Massage and other therapies are offerred. Classes include many yoga classes, various types of aerobics and martial art based cardio classes, power lifting, and fantastic NIA dance daily. I travel all around the country and have not found a more inclusive and professional club than Boulder Rallysport.
