F45 Training Kirkland: Opinions
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to f45 classes for the last 1-2 months, and am really enjoying the classes! Fast paced and super efficient workouts with a great variety of strength training and cardio, would recommend to anybody who is looking to get a high intensity workout in their schedule in under an hour!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place for a daily workout routine, & an even better community! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid sweat & making new connections locally. The F45 coaches are top notch and take great care of all their members.
Fantastic experience: Great experience.. although it is in a group setting, the trainers take time and correct each and every individual. There is a different set of excercise and the variety is great so that it does not become boring and monotonous.
Fantastic experience: I love the coaches and workout! Definitely worth it to join!
Fantastic experience: I’m so excited to be back at F45 Kirkland since the new owners took over! The updates of the studio have already been incredible—they’re truly breathing new life into the space. It’s clear they genuinely care about the members and the community. From the energy in the classes to the attention to detail in the studio, everything feels elevated. The vibe is so positive and motivating, and it feels like a place where everyone is welcome and supported. Can’t wait to see how it continues to grow!
Negative experience: I found an experience on Reddit that was almost identical to mine. Even after reading that post, I thought, “I won’t know until I try it myself,” so I decided to give it a shot—only to end up with the exact same conclusion. 1. Quick response when signing up They were very responsive, especially when I joined through a promotion and upgraded to an unlimited membership. 2. Poor handling of suspensions and payment changes When I tried to pause my membership for personal reasons or while traveling abroad, or when I wanted to change my payment method, the responses were either extremely slow or nonexistent. 3. Failed request to pause membership fees I struggled to get my membership temporarily paused, but while I was overseas, I noticed that the fees were still being charged. I sent an email asking for an explanation, but received no meaningful reply. 4. Contact only after blocking payments When I contacted my bank to stop the payments, they finally reached out, promising to fix the issue. They even waived the usual cancellation penalty and asked for another chance, but their response felt odd and insincere. 5. Workouts were great The workouts themselves and the coaches were excellent, which made me hesitate about quitting. 6. Annoying automated emails While I was still deciding whether to continue, I suddenly received an automated email complaining about the unpaid fees. The tone was irritating and came off as accusatory. 7. Spam report to end it I ended up reporting their emails as spam, and only then did everything finally come to an end. 8. Considering alternatives Now I’m thinking about trying a nearby CrossFit gym or OrangeTheory instead. The location was convenient, and I genuinely liked the coaches and the workouts, but their billing practices and trustworthiness were absolutely unbearable.
Fantastic experience: Just completed 10 classes here. It’s a really great workout. The instructors are really helpful, and help with adjustments to make sure you’re doing the move correctly and not getting hurt. There are a ton of class times and they usually don’t get booked up except for some of the weekend classes. I’m really enjoying this workout!
Fantastic experience: Loving the F45 workouts! Great to have a gym like this walkable for the downtown Kirkland neighborhood!!
Fantastic experience: 1,000% RECOMMEND! I’m someone who knows I should work out, and I’m really inconsistent with it. Sometimes it’s decision fatigue, sometimes it’s boring when I’m by myself, or sometimes I’m not pushing myself enough. F45 in Kirkland is the perfect 45 minute, zero thinking, HIIT workout that challenges you to get better. It’s totally customizable to beginners to people with expertise! If you wanna focus on strength, go heavy… you want reps? Do reps. The music is always great! The music + class environment really keeps you motivated to push through. F45 has really brought consistency to my health routine! I’m always working out with trainers Jay Rabena & Monica!!! See you in class!!
Fantastic experience: From someone who hates to workout. I LOVE this class. The vibe is chill, the people are kind, it’s all different skill levels, the music is great and it’s an incredible workout.
Fantastic experience: I use my passports when I’m in Kirkland to go here. The gym is clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They stay engaged the whole workout, keeping the energy high and making adjustments for you. Great staff, zero ego vibe, and fun place to get a great workout.
Fantastic experience: I started my F45 journey here and you cannot go wrong with coming here. I would encourage anyone to get a trial and see where you are in two weeks. I love the workouts and the coaches Monica and Robby are great. They'll ensure you have good form and are doing exercises right. Give it a try, see if you like it and I now come on Passport due to times available.
Negative experience: One of the worst customer service. I have cancelled my membership more than a month back but they are still charging me every week. They do not reply most of the time.
Negative experience: I do my best to never give negative reviews, but hopefully this will help someone reconsider this gym. The classes were great, trainers were fine, and gym location was ok - ventilation/cleanliness could be much better. But oh man, going through the cancellation process has been a nightmare. I submitted my notice via email and apparently we need to give a one month notice - but never had that been mentioned nor did we ever sign any contract when signing up. All they did was scan my card and keep it on file. Initially, this wasn’t even an issue because what’s another month? However, its been over 6 weeks now and my account remains “active,” my card continues to be billed weekly, and management/owner has avoided my last three email attempts in the past 3 weeks. No response whatsoever. As another user pointed out, seems like a “scam operation,” and it’s incredibly disappointing. I may reconsider updating this review in the future with update (if I ever receive a response), but this lack of transparency and communication ruined the entire experience for me.
Fantastic experience: Really great gym with amazing trainers. Absolutely all of them are awesome - Monica, Hannah (both of them!), Robby, and da main man Jay. All are super knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Jay is an absolute machine, a wealth of knowledge, strength, and motivation! Thank you guys!
Negative experience: This place is great for exercise, and the coaches are very encouraging. However, the management is extremely poor. They don't answer calls or respond to emails, which is very frustrating. There seems to be a scam going on here. They cancel classes without any notification, yet if you miss a single class, they charge you $15. This policy is unreasonable and unfair.
Fantastic experience: Loving F45 so far! These classes push me to work hard and give you a great workout. Coaches Dani, Monica, Jay, and Robby are all super supportive and helpful!
Fantastic experience: I joined F45 Kirkland December of last year and highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a solid workout, accountability, and trainers who prioritize good form and breathing over high reps. The community at F45 is very supportive, welcoming, and most importantly fun - especially the trainers I’ve had classes with - Monica, Hannah, and Jay.
Fantastic experience: Awesome coaches! Loved the formatting!
Negative experience: I’ve been looking to get into a new gym after CrossFit and have heard great things about F45. I inquired one evening for a phone call to walk through pricing details and structure of classes/the differences between them. I was contacted the next day via text message asking to come in for a first class. I responded and let them know I wouldn’t do a class until speaking to a trainer/manager. I then received a text back asking to come in for a class to discuss. I texted back and said no thank you, a phone call is preferred. I was finally able to schedule a call with a manager and when our meeting came around, I didn’t receive a phone call or text. I called twice and didn’t get an answer. Totally fine, people get busy. I then got a call a few hours later and was able to reschedule. I let them know that my schedule was really tight the next few days but could make time for a 15 minute phone call. I was able to reschedule, and what do you know, another meeting missed. I didn’t hear from them until the next day. It was very disappointing because other gyms I have been to in the past have always made potential new members a priority. I then thought to myself, if the gym can’t manage a sales call, then why bother going? Highly disappointed and was looking forward to 45 minute workouts. Sincerely, a potential new member
Fantastic experience: Coach jay is amazing, I always feel he wants to push you while being mindful of your limits and form. workouts are well balanced and offer good structure and variety of movements.
Fantastic experience: Great workout and energy in the gym! Hannah and Jay are wonderful coaches
Fantastic experience: The workouts are very challenging, dynamic and fun. It feels very motivating to workout with a group and I also like that you don’t stay on the same exercise for so long. That makes it go by fast. You’re always moving. The exercises are hard and the coaches push you to do your best. Cardio sessions are my favorite.
Fantastic experience: Dropped in while in town for business and really liked it, friendly trainers that care and push you, nice studio, easy to get to
Fantastic experience: I tried a bunch of different studios over the summer and F45 was my favorite! I’ve been loving my membership so far. The workouts are super motivating with different exercise routines and fun music. All the trainers are really nice and it’s always clean inside! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a HIIT/strength style studio.
Fantastic experience: As far as gyms go, I don’t think it gets much better than this. The workouts are intense, fun, and keep the heart rate up. The staff here is also incredible. It is clear they care about their patrons and helping them to improve their lives. Keep it up F45 Kirkland!
Negative experience: I was told that I could cancel my subscription anytime I want. But things changed later and they refused to give my refund back.Poor communication between staff members.
Positive experience: Pros: Their 10-class trial is an amazing value to try over 2 weeks (it expires after 14 days). The facility is very clean and well-organized and even has showers for those who need them. Parking is plentiful in front of and behind the gym (although the back door isn't open from the outside in the early morning). Classes start and end on time and are just under 45 minutes, so they're great for those on tight schedules. Each class moves quickly through many different movements. Remi was a gracious and helpful coach and had some excellent playlists for the 5AM and 6AM classes. The one Saturday 8AM class I attended was closer to 60 minutes than 45 minutes. I didn't mind too much, but it would've been nice to know it wasn't actually a normal "F45". Cons: The ordering of the stations were confusing since I couldn't usually start at #1 because other people started there, and I had to be redirected often. Staring at screens frequently to keep track of and remember the movements made the classes especially impersonal. The competition-style (oversized) kettle bells were awkward to swing and hold for many movements. The warm-ups were quite short and didn't seem sufficient, but many movements weren't very intense so it seemed okay to jump into the workout without sufficiently warming up. I'm glad I tried F45 out and thought the 10 classes were all good workouts. Despite the better timing and location of F45 for me, I strongly prefer the community, challenge, and overall culture of our CrossFit gym.
Fantastic experience: Went with a friend loved the workout, loved the atmosphere and way they handled everything with Covid phase 2 wa restrictions. I hope to see how good it is when everything is back to normal.
Negative experience: Summary: Pros: fun and effective workouts. Very friendly staff (until you try to quit) Cons: pushy sales, non transparent pricing/terms, owner stone walls you when you try to follow up on cancellation/refund In depth: Tried out the $10/10 and loved the workouts. Although didn't end up using all 10 classes since there was a 2 week expiration (this was not made clear at the time I signed up online, but it was cheap enough it didn't bother me) After the intro offer, i got calls and numerous text messages from the owner on renewal options. I was doing a bit of traveling so told her I would look into it after I returned. I already pay for dance, aerial, bouldering, and tennis, so was a bit hesitant to pay for another membership considering it wasn't exactly cheap. However I caved because I really enjoyed the workouts and wanted an activity to do with my husband. The owner signed us both up for the $99/8 classes per month package and said we were ready to go, and to sign paperwork at the studio. When i tried to book classes online, there was a terms and condition sheet that said it was a 12 month commitment. I texted the owner and said we are not comfortable signing this because we needed flexibility. She said she added notes that it was a month to month contract and not to worry. My credit card was charged $108. Apparently taxes weren't included. I went in person to sign paperwork but the person at the time said there was nothing to sign. I told her I wasn't comfortable with the terms and that the owner (Claire) had added notes and if she could help me verify. She seemed confused and said "if that's what the Claire said, i wouldn't worry about it". I found out I was pregnant a month in, but continued to go to classes, but did modifications and tried not to push myself as hard. I tried to stay on the program for as long as i could, but when i got into my second trimester, i started feeling cramps after the workouts. I texted Claire to cancel for both me and my husband since i could no longer do the workouts, and i had made it clear at the beginning the two of us came as a package (he got free classes at work and had only signed up to spend time with me). She tried to convince me to put the membership on a 9 month hold, but since this was my first baby i didn't know what to expect and didn't want to worry about another thing if there were any complications, so I declined and told her to just cancel it and i will sign up again when my body was ready. She said "you got it", but also mentioned prices might go up and it's free to put on suspension. I told her to just cancel and thanked her for the awesome workouts. Our monthly billing was about to start so I asked her to let me know when the cancellation was complete. She never texted back. I called the studio and the staff at the time told me we had to give 30 days notice before cancellation per the contract, and that she couldn't cancel for this upcoming month. I texted Claire again. No response. I went to the studio in person the next day and saw Claire and she apologized for not having responded to the texts and assured us we wouldn't get charged. The next day we both got charged. I texted to let her know we were charged and asked if she could provide an ETA for when it would get reversed. No response. I was sick of getting stone walled on the texts, i tried to call her but it went straight to voicemail, so i just called my credit card to dispute the charge. I finally got my refund but my husband's charge is still open. Honestly i love the workouts and i would have 100% gone back when my body was ready for it. I just didn't know when and don't like to leave things open. This happened the first week of February. I really tried to work with them to make this right and gave them time to fix it. But after a month of waiting, I'm tired and finally decided to write this negative review.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to F45 Kirkland since it opened in November 2018 and it’s the only gym I’ll ever go to. I love that every day is a different workout, mixing up cardio and weight training. The coaching staff is super friendly and helpful, making sure you’re doing proper form and staying motivated through the entire class. I highly recommend checking it out!
Fantastic experience: Love the effectiveness and variety of the workouts offered. The coaches are super helpful and friendly. The occasional events they have are a nice touch, too.
Fantastic experience: Trainers are great and so is Rohit. Awesome place to train physically.
Fantastic experience: Great places to get fit. Love the staff and the trainers, place is pretty clean and everyone is very friendly.
Fantastic experience: Good workout
Fantastic experience: I travel often for business and always find the nearest F45. After visiting several different locations all over the world I can honestly say that it is one of the nicest facilities I have ever seen. Facility is about a year old so everything is clean and functions as it should. Staff is super friendly and welcoming which is consistent with every other F45 I have been to. Remembering your name is part of the corporate culture and brand. This location is also larger than other location I have seen with a waiting area with tables and couches for members to sit before or after class. Drinks and apparel are well stocked too at reasonable prices. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an amazing workout in a beautiful facility in a great location surrounded by ton's of cool restaurants for a post workout meal or drink.
Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable trainers, high-quality workouts and upbeat atmosphere!
Fantastic experience: Great gym, great staff. Environment is awesome. If you’re looking for a gym that provides convenience and actual value, this is the one!
