Negative experience: Used car salesman
Jeff, we’re sorry to see this kind of review — especially since you never actually visited the gym. You requested a free 5-day trial, and we simply invited you to come in and use it — no pressure, no sales tactics. Our facility offers a wide range of programs, from open gym to elite training, so pricing depends entirely on your goals. We’re not a $12 gym, and we don’t try to be — we focus on real coaching and real results. We wish you all the best in finding the right fit for your goals, but reviews like this, based on text messages and not experience, don’t reflect what we’re truly about.
Negative experience: I moved from Boca to Orlando and I’ve called this establishment a thousand times to cancel my membership and they never answer the phone or call me back after leaving voicemails and of course they CONTINUE to charge my card. Cannot believe how unprofessional they are. Extremely disappointed.
Let’s be clear: we receive full transcripts of every voicemail, and there is zero record of any missed message or contact attempt from you — ever. We also reviewed every single member with the initials “M.P.” and found no history of any unresolved issues, let alone anything resembling this accusation. This review is 100% false and clearly malicious. It’s disappointing when someone chooses to attack a business that operates with integrity and transparency. We’ve reported this review as fraudulent and will continue to defend our reputation against dishonest behavior.

Fantastic experience: I went to Johnny's O's because my university gym was closed. This was the best thing that could've happened. I called an asked about a day pass and their front desk associate said new gym goers get their first time for free. I inquired about becoming a trainer there when I arrived and the front desk employee was super friendly and helpful. I spoke to Johnny himself and he was also very generous. Now the facilities -- absolutely phenomenal. LED lights going on the inside with fabulous murals of famous athletes. The gym has everything you need on the inside and the outside is arguably even better. Plenty of space for sprinting, HIIT circuits, agility training, etc. I told Johnny himself, if I could build my own gym, I don't think it would look much different than Johnny O's.

Negative experience: Can you guys lower the volume there? The music is so loud, especially in the mornings! The neighborhood on Dixie and beyond can hear it. Very inconsiderate of you. Update: Thanks for the passive aggressive comment. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that there are houses literally on the other side of your wall. The music is blasting all morning. Disappointing response.

Fantastic experience: Nice small gym. Friendly front desk. Love the outside part. They truly focus on athleticism and function. If you want a good all around gym where it’s more about health and fitness, this is the place for you. Also my son likes to run up and down the outside field. You can be training next to a professional athlete and you would never know. Ego is left outside.

Fantastic experience: Cold plunge is my favorite. There’s even a shower (which is used before we plunge). Also, Johnny O’s has everything I need for my fitness goals. They put on a clinic in there!!! Highly recommend.

It was the perfect hybrid between strength and cardio with a cool turf section outdoors and superb weight equip indoors. Have to see for yourself - unlike all the rest AND also super friendly vibe. Fantastic experience: This gym was a gift for my daughter. A tween going through the natural physical and mental changes of life. We had tried other activities to get her motivated and moving, but once she tried Johnny Os youth program she was hooked. Like a moth to a flame. The atmosphere, the super kind, open and welcoming younger staff is Johnny Os super power. Not to mention, Johnny himself comes out to meet, encourage and talk to athletes and parents as well. Another Boca gem that we are so lucky to have. Try them out, they have something for everyone!

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best gyms. My son attends the Youth Sports classes and it has been a fantastic experience. The owners have gotten it right with their staff. Blown away with how friendly, kind, caring, and knowledgeable the staff is. Every time we go we are greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. They have gone above and beyond, from the trainers to the front desk staff. You don’t often see such amazing customer service these days, but this gym excels in providing great service.

Johnny O’s Gymnasium represents a tribute to the legends of the Iron Age readily adapted to the needs of next-generation athleticism. The facility differentiates itself by offering a range of total-quality equipment extensively curated across the spectrum of strength and sport training with almost professorial precision. But where this indoor and outdoor training space really shines is the people. Visiting from out of town I was warmly welcomed and felt like a regular before I finished the second set. Johnny O is not a photo on the wall, he is an authentic and inspiring personality standing next to you on the floor talking shop, while quietly logging the sets and the reps, with professorial dedication to the craft. For newcomers and pros alike, this is the place to sustain a lifetime of training. Strongly recommend.

Mr. Johnny O. is a very respectable man and is very friendly and inspirational. I love going here in the morning to work out with Eleventh Element with Josh Good which is a blessing since those workouts are free thanks to Johnny O. The vibe is amazing and the people are chill and friendly would 100% highly recommend this gym.

I have been coming here since I moved to Boca and the only reason I am leaving is because we are moving across the country (I wish I could pick it up and bring it with me!). You have the option to work out inside or out and I love that I never have to wait long for a machine. Johnny always greets everyone personally with something positive to say! I love this place lol. Most importantly you can work out in peace and never feel intimidated which is not usual at gyms nowadays! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Just starting using this gym recently and its probably already my favorite one that I've been to. All of the staff is extremely friendly and the owner himself is a really nice guy. The weights, bands, etc are always put back where they should be and are not just laying all over the floor like other gyms. They have a nice outside area to workout also with different type of equipment when you're bored with the day to day grind of just lifting dumbbells' and barbells. Very clean and just an overall good vibe in there. Would definitely recommend to anyone tired of the big chain gyms.

Fantastic experience: Johnny O's is hands down the top athletic training facility in Southern Florida. The roster of top athletes who train here speaks volumes on the subject. More importantly, the staff really cares about the athletes who train here. Jared at the front desk and manager Alisha are great examples of the highly professional staff. Johnny himself is of course a legend. You can't go wrong at Johnny O's.

Fantastic experience: The thing that makes this gym better than any other gym in South Florida is Johnny himself. Johnny ensures each and every customer is happy with their entire gym experience. Johnny showed me around the gym, offered a free class, and also offered a free training session. If you are looking to find a gym that actually cares about their customers, unlike big box gyms (LA Fitness!!!) look no further than Johnny O's Gym! The BEST Gym in South Florida!

Fantastic experience: Best outdoor/Indoor Gym in South Fl Flexible operating hours for someone who works 9-5 shifts! Hit up Jared when you come & register, he’ll show you the ins and outs of the whole gym, plus all the group fitness classes. 5⭐️

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best gym experiences I've had in a long time. My mom and I were visiting Florida possibly looking to move and had been to one other gym that was good but nothing compared to Johnny O’s. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home which says a lot right off the bat. My mom took a lower body class, she hasn't worked out in 5 months and although it was challenging Johnny was so encouraging to her and made sure she felt okay throughout the hour. Everyone was so friendly and the energy made you want to be there leaving you with a great time and a great workout. 10/10 would recommend stopping by!

Fantastic experience: I love this place man! Indoor/Outdoor, everybody friendly and just in there getting fit. All sorts of equipment for whatever type of workout you’re into to. Great variety of trainers as well and even massage specialists.

Fantastic experience: Johnny O’s is an excellent gym with super facilities for indoor and outdoor training as well as well trained staff and a fun, collegial atmosphere. I’ve been working out here with my personal trainer for several months and I’ve enjoyed every visit. Johnny is a super guy and I highly recommend Johnny O’s Gym to everyone.

Fantastic experience: The rare find of an outdoor gym program was the reason I joined this gym. As a retired person, I found the program to be welcoming and inclusive. The instructor, John Dufault, accommodates diversity and provides challenges for all, with dignity and expertise. The program is very strong and varied, but the true strength of this place is the ambiance of acceptance and respect for everyone. It’s a jewel of a place.
