Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for 6 months, and everyone has always been incredibly nice and helpful. Best gym in Jackson County!

Fantastic experience: I'm a new member to this gym and new to the Blue Springs area. I've only worked out here a few times, but I am really enjoying it so far. They have tons of unique machines that you will not find anywhere else. I have lifted at several different gyms, and none of them have had the variety of equipment that Blue Springs Fitness has. Overall, has been a pleasant experience, the staff members are friendly, and I like the old school vibe.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a great local gym, with wonderful staff and a phenomenal community- this is it. As an almost daily gym-goer, this facility is always clean, calming, and has great temperature control given the size of the facility. It gives you that old-school feeling of 80s and 90s gyms, but the modernity of all the awesome equipment. As someone who lifts primarily for bodybuilding, there is really very little else I could ask for. They have an excellent attachment selection, a pendulum and belt squat machine for training legs, a new and incredible free-motion smith machine, and a pretty much all encompassing dumbbell selection. For those who like to do cardio in the gym... they also have pretty much every option there nailed down too.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! All the equipment you could need. Friendly staff. Very inviting to all, everyone from senior citizens working to stay mobile to hardcore powerlifters.

Negative experience: Another day here of not being able to squat or deadlift as the group of teens somehow keeps growing. The entire hour I was here the same group of little kids are hogging the only deadlift spot and squat rack. They are literally grabbing chairs from the room next door and just parking it in there for hours at a time. It’s getting worse and worse the last few months.

Fantastic experience: Love the place you wanna hit Pr’s that’s the place to be they have a powerlifting area and every kind of equipment you can think of this place is legit and affordable and one of the best gyms in the area as a powerlifter I would give gym a five star I drive all the way from odessa to come here so if that isn’t telling anything I don’t know what is Team BSF -HumanZilla

Fantastic experience: This has got to be the best gym in the area. The equipment is awesome, the people and community are even better, it’s never packed, and the owner and staff are great people. Definitely should check this place out

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about this gym, it's like my second home. I've been coming here off and on for 28 years and the atmosphere is one of a kind!! Everyone is friendly, caring and very helpful! If you want to lose weight or put muscle on or simply stay healthy you're in the right place. They have multiple trainers males and a female that will even help with nutrition plans.

Fantastic experience: such a nice gym! very clean and great staff

Negative experience: Overall it’s a pretty decent gym and I actually like it. It’s a little too busy with little powerlifter kids that think they are cool during the afternoon time, but nothing serious. Also, there is ol creepy Craig in the afternoons, he has dirty hands from not washing after using the bathroom and then he spends most of his time trying to talk to any girl/woman there who is too nice to tell him to go away. Doesn’t matter if the woman is a senior citizen or borderline high school aged. I’m sure this review will get taken down shortly, but it’s all 100% true, the staff has been informed by more than one person, but nothing ever changes. Basically the gym is cool but some of the members kinda ruin it. EDIT: like i said, i don’t dislike the gym itself, but the environment here is terrible. The members keep getting worse and worse. And the reviews for this place are clearly not accurate, it’s flooded with fake reviews by the S2 employees who get to come and workout for free all the time. Most of the semi-negative reviews gets taken down pretty quickly somehow.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym almost everyday for awhile now. People are extremely nice, and the gym has a great environment. Also, you Can’t beat the price for quality of the gym. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I’ve been told to report this to bbb of Kansas City. The owner said take down the review or he would KEEP CHARGING ME after stating he would cancel my membership. I was charged this month and I haven’t been there in over two weeks. Verbal agreements matter. This is not only unethical but it’s free speech for a reason, if you say you’re going to cancel a membership you should not threaten people to take down a review or you won’t give them there money back. I stand by what I said the gym has a broken jacuzzi, Out dated, broken equipment, smells like mold and no one wipes their stuff off. The parking lot has pot holes and they’re Over priced! Go down the street it’s 10$ cheaper and they aren’t unethical like blue springs fitness. They put up signs that say give a good review and get a free month so I would take the reviews with a grain of salt.

Fantastic experience: I signed up about a week ago and I can say I have been to many different gyms but this one is by far the best. Never too crowded and always clean. There was an issue with the bathroom but it was resolved quickly. I lost motivation to go to my last gym and this place has definately brought my motivation back. It's great to see people of all ages going in and using the equipment without trying to break the equipment. The staff is also very friendly and always willing to help answer any questions.

Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the best gyms in Blue Springs! Every time I visit I’m greeted by such wonderful staff. All of the members are always so kind as well. I truly enjoy going in every week and getting a workout in here. The variety of equipment at this gym is also amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have been to to Blue Springs Fitness twice since it’s pretty far from where I actually live and have been nothing but impressed. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the person working the front desk with a smile and was welcomed with open arms. Equipment has a good variety of newer and more old school styles. Great gym. Fantastic experience: This gym AND the staff has been nothing but awesome to me since I moved to this area. For the last few months I’ve been training here and I’ve popped in sporadically before that. Kim at the front desk makes you feel completely at home when you show up in the morning, and Stacey treats you just as well in the afternoon! Kurt and Autum have treated me like part of the family since the first time I met them. The equipment has and old school style which is great especially considering how well they keep up with maintenance and cleanliness. I’ve brought friends up here to train and each time they talk about how great the equipment is. I couldn’t recommend BSF more, if you’re wanting a trainer as well. They have some of the best trainers in the KC metro area

Fantastic experience: I enjoy working out at Blue Springs Fitness. It is a very relaxed environment, and have been focusing on more flexibility, and improving core strength with a specific trainer who has been awesome to work with. Tulei Tappi has made my experience very rewarding. His knowledge, personality and professionalism has been great. I look forward to working out with him toward the goals we have set. I know how Important stretching and improving flexibility is as I get older. I would recommend Tulei to anyone that wants a positive experience and results. Thanks again!!

Fantastic experience: I felt the same but I've never felt this way here! I've been going here for almost 6 weeks and we all actually support each other and high 5 one another. We've all had to start somewhere to get where we are today. The trainers are amazing, the staff is awesome and the trainees are super nice too! I actually WANT to go to the gym everyday now. I used to go to the purple gym and HAAAATED it! I LOVE going to BS fitness! Take a try, you will NOT be disappointed! ❤️

Negative experience: Gym smells bad, the machinery is often run-down. Terrible hours.

Fantastic experience: There’s a reason this gym is the longest reigning gym in blue springs. Great people! Great staff. Great place to workout. It’s never too crowded. There are plenty of options to help you reach your fitness goals. There’s circuit training as well as a free weight room. Again I’ve never seen it crowded enough that I can’t get my workout in. The personal trainers are exceptional. Locker rooms are always nicely kept.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in the Blue Springs area, hands down. This gym is filled with outstanding equipment. Some of it is reminiscent of Golden Era bodybuilding days. Most of the machines are located in a central area, and then there is a strength portion of the gym located in another area that has strength + power focused equipment (squat racks, deadlift platform, dumbbells, etc.). The locker rooms have plenty of space. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming (Kim always holds it down!). The entire training staff here has years of experience and knowledge, and even some world records in powerlifting (Brandon Cass). The gym offers individualized personal training as well as group training/class style sessions. The community is friendly, welcoming, and isn't filled with people taking photos or collecting "content" for their social media. The owner, Kurt, does a great job of keeping the place together and ensuring that the gym meets the needs of all its members. Finally, the pricing is fair for membership. I'd recommend this gym for any serious lifter or anyone looking to get into fitness in a welcoming environment!

Fantastic experience: This is a very solid all around gym. The staff most notably is awesome, no matter who is working the front desk they always greet my by my first name, and ask how my lift was on the way out. They are accepting of any training style no matter if your goal is to build strength, lose weight, or pack on size. You won’t regret getting a membership here!

Fantastic experience: Friendly atmosphere. The place is laid out well. Lots of options from just plain walking to using the huge variety of machines to Silver Sneakers aerobics classes. Large hot tub and sauna are a plus!

Fantastic experience: This was the only gym that didn’t make you wear masks if you didn’t want to during the pandemic , they actually stand up for their beliefs. So I’ve been here for 2 years. Awesome place, it’s cool how the owner walks around and is there on a regular basis makes you feel more welcome knowing if you have any issues you can just ask him, he’s really nice. Great place !

Fantastic experience: Stacy at the front desk is worth the whole experience alone!! She is so friendly and welcoming!! I went to Planet Fitness before coming to Blue Springs and I was honestly a little leary joining this gym because the people seemed more "advanced" than I was, in their fitness journies. I quickly found that these men and women are friendly and super happy to help a newby, like myself. I am lucky to have found a truly, non-judgmental gym and have enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out here for many years and would not want to go anywhere else. The culture here is second to none!!! You can go in to do aerobics, body build, strongman, powerlift, or just sit in the sauna and no one will judge you. They always invest in the facilities by updating equipment and keeping the building in its best shape. I Love this place!

Fantastic experience: Our workouts are solid and the staff members are professional, kind and friendly. Other keep-fit folks are also. Many of the staff and gymgoers have been very supportive, as in our 4 years there we have had some trying times. We always feel welcome! The machines are in good shape and vary for a diversified workout. Come join us!

Fantastic experience: If you're reading the reviews you are already searching for a gym. The main things to look for are 1. Equipment (clean and working) 2. Support Staff and quality of trainers, and 3) environment. This is a no-nonsense gym where you go to work. No need for the fluff and stuff, let's get after getting you to your goals is the approach. The equipment doesn't have to be shiny, fancy and new, it just has to be clean and working. This gym nails that! Concerning the support staff and trainers; this gym has Brandon Cass, a world champion powerlifter! That speaks volumes! The remaining support staff are professional and friendly and they get to know you by name. The environment at the gym is one where you feel comfortable no matter your fitness level and you can work towards your fitness goals The other members are supportive and it's true that you end up feeling part of a positive family. This is a great gym

Fantastic experience: I was in town 5/22 and 23 with my husband on business from Arizona. When I travel I look for hometown gyms to visit as I am in the fitness industry myself at a hometown gym.(always support local) When I originally looked up this gym the yelp reviews weren't very good so I was hesitant but after going I don't understand it. This gym is fantastic. From the second I walked in the door to a courteous greeting, to the equipment that was so interesting and fun. They have everything from old school equipment all the way to new hammer strength. The other members were also friendly but the biggest thing for me is cleanliness. Every machine was dust free, dirt free, wiped down, the showers/bathroom/ locker room was awesome if I could give this gym a 10 I would! Do yourself a favor, if your local this is the place you wanna be. Visitors take the drive it's worth it.

Negative experience: Rip off i paid for a full year back in January 2020. The pandemic started so I didn't go. Now the mask mandate got lifted and they won't even work with me on getting my membership back...snakes

Negative experience: If you have a membership and get hurt, they will send the rest of your remaining membership to a creditor before contacting you after you have put a freeze on your account or so they say. Very bad business and don’t recommend this old and unsanitary gym. The equipment is old and dusty not to mention but that is just the way they run business.

Negative experience: We went in to cancel our membership after the 1 year contract ended and they never sent it to the financial institution so I had no idea I have been getting charged for months and it has been sent to collections.

Negative experience: Avoid this rundown shack. Poorly run facility, no heat in EJ yet and no air in summer, spa and steam room are always broken. equipment is run down and broken, often for weeks. Staff is rude and owner is arrogant and unprofessional. Tried to make me return many times to cancel membership saying owner had to be there. You you want a place where staff spreads rumors and is from the 90’s this is your place

Fantastic experience: I've belonged to Blue Springs Fitness since around 1998. I have belonged to other gym. None like BSF. It's like a big family. No one is judgemental, no matter your age or physical condition. I'm 71 years of age and love working out there and visiting with my many friends. The ownership and trainers are top notch too. Great facility.

Negative experience: DO. NOT. COME. HERE. They will continue to bill you even after you cancel for months. I’ve had to enter into chargebacks for up to 8months after I cancelled with them.

Negative experience: The gym has very old and dirty gym equipment. Many times the air condition was not working. The roof always leaked and place smelled terrible. If you are looking to joing a gym in Blue Springs this is not the one. Save your money and go to Fazeek Fitness or Plant Fitness.

Negative experience: An absolutely insane 60 day notice to cancel your membership after you've completed a full year. I sent them an email through their site to begin the process and it was never responded to. When I called in to confirm it's receipt I was told I could only cancel in person (not on the weekends, the right staff member isn't there) or by sending a letter because "they don't do email". If you don't intend to give them $40 a month for the rest of your life I'd recommend going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I love the people here, it's like a big family. The owner Kurt quickly resolves facility issues. He has equipped the facility with newer equipment and he listens to his customers. Kurt is an awesome business man and it shows with what he is doing.

Negative experience: WARNING: Membership contract highly flawed. I encourage others to avoid this business as it is more concerned with taking money than resolving a simple problem, and that will be my personal crusade to ensure that nobody else gets ripped off as well. I gave this business a fair and just opportunity to fix the issue for which they have failed to do. Very sad. After reading some of the other reviews I'm not alone. This may very well turn into a class action situation. I heard storys of them still taking money from the deceased.... Who knows what will turn out after motions for discovery are made. If you have been victim to this business... You are not alone!!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. It's not crowded at all in the morning when I go. It's hours are extremely convenient, even for early birds. The staff is always pleasant. The gym itself is shows a little wear, but it add to its charm. There is PLENTY OF GYM EQUIPMENT. The weights are almost always in their proper location and I can usually find the equipment I need without waiting. It's a nice mix between a unibrow gym and a 24 Hour Fitness.

Fantastic experience: Not usually busy when I am there in the evening. It also has a hot tub and childcare!

Fantastic experience: It's a great gym that is always improving with reasonable monthly fees, and the first month is free. They also have personal trainers, my current one's name is Rey, he is a grrat trainer who pushes me to points I wouldn't push myself nor my friends and I have gotten great results in the past few weeks.
