Positive experience: This gym is well-equipped with a variety of amenities. Depending on the time of day, it could be quite crowded, but there is no swimming pool. Despite this, the facility is relatively new and the equipment is of high quality.

Positive experience: This gym is dependable, even when it's crowded there's still enough room and equipment to get a great workout. The showers, changing area, and sauna are always spotless. The personnel are friendly and inviting. My only issue is that they can be overly pushy when you first join. It would be helpful if they could recognize who is there for a workout and not attempt to pressure them into buying more than they need (in my opinion). It would be great if there was a swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: I signed up with Gold's Gym mostly for the classes and occasional cardio equipment use. If you are looking for challenging, energetic, and diverse classes you can't go wrong. I do the Studio classes, which is an extra charge but worth the additional cost. The coaches are awesome and are a main reason I keep going back. Nelson, Cal, and Chris are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and foster an ideal environment for all fitness levels. The facilities are always clean and the equipment is maintained and stocked well. I was able to freeze my membership during the peak of the pandemic which was a great option. The billing isn't always managed perfectly, but I am usually able to get assistance and quick resolution.

Fantastic experience: Here in DC for work for 2 weeks. Got a 1 month membership for $99. Positives: good location, clean, staff has excellent customer service. Downsides: gym gets very busy, will have to wait 10 minutes or more at times to get on a bench during peak hours. If you are new to Gold’s you should know that there are several nice 24 hour locations in the DC area you won’t have access to as those are franchise locations— this is a corporate one (Corporate memberships grant you access to other corporate locations but not franchise locations). Overall very pleased. Hit a PR today on bench— 200lbs. So well worth it for me .

Fantastic experience: This place is immaculate and well-ordered. The personnel are welcoming and helpful. It is an ideal location to come back to after the pandemic is over. It is situated in a good spot with free parking in the car park opposite. I haven't had any issues with billing or charges, so I would suggest it.

Fantastic experience: This coming March it’ll be two years of being a member here - I’ve been very satisfied with the upkeep. One thing I appreciate about the management team is that they’re always asking for feedback, and instantly taking action for improvements. Today, I saw the GM Matt tidying up the weight area and picking up tissue/wipes left behind, very humbling and noteworthy - this compelled me to leave a review today! Also, their awesome and topnotch Studio trainers Danny, Jackie, Frankie and Cal should be commended. They know their stuff, are well educated in fitness and explain workouts well. You won’t feel lost in their classes! The gym itself is very clean and not crowded - I haven’t been in too many situations where I had to wait on equipment. A large variety of equipment too, everything from Jacobs Ladder, to Barbell Rack(s), Landmine Barbell, Slam balls, etc.

Fantastic experience: This location has wonderful personal trainers and a friendly staff I enjoy working out here especially on nice days when they open up the garage style door to make it easy to workout outside. They also have a steam room and sauna in the men's locker. I cannot speak to the women's. It can get crowded but people are friendly about letting others work in most of the time.

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but good experiences with all of the staff at this gym. I have been to a couple of their studio classes. The gym is always clean, and never over-packed. The staff is super knowledgable and helpful whenever you need them. Also, there are windows all around which really helps to keep you motivated! Thanks Gold's Gym!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I joined this gym after a 7-day free trial. The studio classes are the main attraction for us. The coaches/instructors are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very motivational. The exercises always have the Gold standard for performing it but the instructors also include easier ways to do it. So far, we have not felt self-conscious at all. Everyone, from the coaches to the staff and the other members, is friendly and easy to warm up to. FYI we are both over the age of 50.

Fantastic experience: I would be doing the online community a major disservice, if I did not share how OUTSTANDING Gold's Gym Riverdale Park is. I joined the Riverdale Park location in February 2019. I report to the gym six days a week and I am very pleased with the customer service that I consistently receive from the front desk staff, sales, fitness instructors/trainers and management. When issues arise, I feel comfortable articulating myself and management is always very receptive and accommodating to me. The fitness instructors/trainers of the Boot Camp classes, Cycle Beats and Burn classes have sweet dispositions and great coaching skills that have yielded extremely fruitful results for me. Furthermore, I have personally observed the fitness instructors do an excellent job cultivating positive rapport with each member, by helping members meet their individual fitness goals. Thanks to the following trainers, I have lost 20 pounds and I am eager to report to the gym daily: Jackie, Nelson, Donald and Aaron. Due to my work schedule, I have not attended fitness classes taught by Danny and Calvin. However, I hear that they too are outstanding. Kudos to Riverdale Park management, for hiring outstanding people who passionately deliver first class service. I am a Proud Gold's Gym Riverdale Park member! I definitely recommend this location to anyone that is looking for a clean, inviting and positive space to workout.

Fantastic experience: We were stocked when they opened this gym at Riverdale. We used to go to Planet Fitness and decided to check this one out. Alex, super friendly guy at Gold’s, showed us around and gave us a few passes to check it out. I have to admit that I was firstly attracted to the sauna, but as I started taking classes, I realized they had great instructors and facilities. I don’t have any kids, but they still have a room to watch your kids while you work out, and the hours are pretty decent. So, I decided to join. Allan hooked me up with Active&Fit (a Program through my health insurance), so I have now been coming regularly to the gym. I absolutely enjoy JC’s Studio classes. He’s so much fun and his classes are great. He’s constantly taking more certifications, and I even took yoga with him! I’ve also taken Zumba with Patrice. Yesterday, I took a class with Cal and that was intense! Way to sweat! I’m looking forward to my Cycling class with Sabrina. A shot out to Rick, too, who hooked me up with some next-tier classes, like Gold’s Burn and Gold’s Cycling. Like I said, great facilities (big and lean), friendly staff, and great trainers. Plus, the area has lots to give. If you come in the evening, you can grab a bite next door. If you come in the morning, you can grab coffee at Starbucks across the street. And if you have time for groceries, there’s a Whole Foods, too. Parking is never an issue. And I still do sauna and shower before I leave the gym. Come check it out!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gym I've ever seen. There's everything you need except a pool and a sauna. The place is huge and you have access to an enormous amount of equipment. The basic membership costs 50$ per month, totally worth it.

Fantastic experience: I'm going to be honest, it's been years since I've stepped foot in a gym. The experience I had working out at the River Dale Park Golds gym is just what one needs to keep them motivated. PLUS, they have a 3-D body scan to show your areas you're wanting to improve on. Game changer!! This gym is so spacious and free of being over crowded at any given time. I tried working out in the early morning and during the evening time. I was happy to be able to find a empty machine and weights to use! The staff is never too busy to greet you upon entering to check in either! I'm also a mom. the kiddie club helped me out a great deal when I needed to take my son along. Saving the best for last. After you have completed your workout the hot steam room awaits you!! =))

The staff is working out the kinks but they're just so friendly and helpful. Sean the trainer is the man as well. If there's any issues or concerns one may have he addresses it right away. Very clean.. it has more staff than any other golds I have ever been to, hence the 100% Mark-up on the membership price. $60 a month oppose to $30, It is worth it though because it keeps out the rifraf and over population. There hasn't been a time where I have had to wait to use a machine. The endless supply of wet wipes is awesome, Ensuring I'm not laying in the last guys sweat! I love how they separated the toilets in the bathrooms in an enclosed area so you don't have to smell everyone's funk. They should have thought of this long ago..

Fantastic experience: By far the best Gold's Gym in the area!! Staff: The staff was really nice and informative. They explained all the equipment and knew how to use each and everyone of them. They gave a good tour around the gym. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was amazing. The windows adds to the lighting in the gym and it just made me feel so awake and energetic when lifting. There are mirrors EVERYWHERE so that is definitely a plus. Equipment: the equipment was top notch and clean. Of course it's a brand new gym. Every piece of equipment had instructions on them so you knew how to use them. There is so much space inbetween the equoequip so that you are not cramming and lifting too close to someone. Yes, there is only ONE deadlift platform but the floors are extra padded (you can literally feel when you walk) so that you can deadlift on the floor as well. YOU DONT NEED A DEADLIFT PLATFORM TO DEADLIFT. The bumper plates are a plus as well. The gym also has those easy slide on clips so that it's not a hassle squeezing the clips onto the bar! Bathroom/Sauna: Bathrooms are really nice,clean, and have a modern look to it. The sinks aren't located where the urinals and stalls were, but the doors are locked wide open so that you don't have to touch anything to get to the sink. The sauna was the perfect temperature and was very spacious. The gym also provides towels if you need to use one!! Overall this has been the best gym experience for me in the DMV, and best experience at a Gold's Gym alone!

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but great experiences at this gym! Every staff member that I have come into contact with has literally gone above and beyond to help me!! Initially I signed up online to get the special before 3/31 and I enrolled in the 79.99 plan. Well once I got to the gym HAROLD took the time to talk with me about the different plans and gave me a tour of the gym. He was very nice and knowledgeable and pretty much convinced me to upgrade my plan which was seriously the best decision I could make! Currently, I am a member of a kickboxing gym and I pay over $126 for only kickboxing. At this gym, I pay less and I have access to a new beautiful facility, a nice weight room, a cycling class, a Burn (cardio) class, a class similar to cross fit but with out super heavy weights, sauna, bootcamp classes, and regular fitness classes!!! After I visited the gym and decided I wanted to upgrade my membership, there was a slight issue with getting everything upgraded, which I was freaking out about because I already had my mind set on taking the Burn, Cycling, and Fit classes. I tried to call the Corp office but I couldn't get anywhere. I was just about to give up and decided to call the gym and get another number for the Corporate office! lol Well I just so happen to get one of the managers on the phone named FRANCIS. He was SO HELPFUL!! He listened to my concerns and said that he would make some calls on my behalf and follow up with me. Well he followed up with me the SAME day and worked everything out so that I wouldn't have to pay anything extra so that I could still benefit from the promotional deal!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea how anyone could complain about the staff here because they will literally do anything they can to help their customers!! Francis could have just dismissed my concerns, but he didn't. He was very professional and genuinely cared about helping me resolve my problem. THANK YOU. :) Also, another benefit from have a membership here is that you can get a 3D body scan! I am part of a 30 day challenge so having this value added feature is very helpful because I now know my exact measurements, body fat etc. which will help me determine how much I have improved after 30 days. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to set up an appointment in advance, which is understandable. My appointment was with CAL, which is also one of the guys that does the Fit class. He is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with him. We discussed such a broad range of topics such as nutrition, the affects of certain diet plans, health books that we have read, an in depth break down of my results from the scan, how I can achieve my weight loss goals and so much more!! I am so happy that Gold's decided to build this gym right down the street from me!! The facility is awesome, the staff is amazing, and the fitness classes are just as good as any Soul Cycle or Cross Fit class that you would pay so much more money for!! I cant wait to go to class tonight!!! #BurnClass :)

Fantastic experience: So far, we love it. The Kids Club was great for my daughter too; she had fun and the counselors were engaging. I'm sure there will be issues, but can't complain right now. Also, we were treated very well by the staff and our sales person. No hard sell or hidden fees.

Fantastic experience: I've been using this gym for over 2 months now and it's been a pleasure. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They walked me through all the steps and contracts when I was signing up. I never felt pressured. If you honest and open about the goals you want to achieve, the staff will lead you thru and help you with some tips. I'm excited to continue to be a member of this location. The only couple of things I wish they could do better is teaming up with other local businesses like coffee shops and breweries to build up a stronger relationship in the community and I wish they could update to a better water bottle station refill :)
