Positive experience: Is there an ETA on when the tanning beds will be fixed? No one seems to know.

Negative experience: This website lies! The club is not open until midnight on Fridays. I drove across town to discover a closed club at 9:00. Dirty trick, Genesis.

Fantastic experience: If your looking for a great gym, this is your place! I have been working with Alex for 3 months now. Since starting here I have lost over 20 pounds of fat! Go in and get a free consultation, you have nothing but your health to lose.

Positive experience: Well did you update my review I have to drop my rating a bit because for some reason over the last year they just can't seem to fix the tanning beds no matter how many times and how many people mention it apparently they just don't mean much two management Update they still have not fixed the tanning beds apparently they just don't care. I mean honestly how hard is it to change some some bulbs.

Positive experience: Grabbing a $20 day pass that last 24 hours was great, especially since I'm only here for 2 days. The staff and location is great, but I'm not a fan of the layout of the location. I would come back again if I come back to this area.

Positive experience: I have a membership there and the steam room is broken a lot, shower head leak and not great. But other than that it’s a good facility

Negative experience: The classroom on the first floor is full of mildew. The roof needs to be fixed.

Fantastic experience: I have a trainer Alex 3 times a week and it helps me to understand what I need to strengthen and to know that many of the exercises I've been doing I'm using the wrong form and not working the muscles that I should be. He can spot everything quickly. I love it. I also take two classes twice a week with the instructor Christin and she is the best instructor ever. She has been doing this for 25 years and makes it fun but pushes me which I appreciate. I do AAT, American Athlete Training and it's different every time and is fantastic cardiovascular. I then take the strengthening class from her and it's amazing the difference it makes. She really understands how the body works and to get the most out of it. I love those classes. With the trainer Alex and the classes with Christen it is absolutely perfect and the most I have ever gotten out of working out in 30 years.

Negative experience: Extremely dated facilities and extremely entitled management. When canceling my month to month membership the manager had the quick wit to laugh that I was one day outside the 30-day notice therefore I got to pay a whole other month. Pretty sure my credit card processor will have an issue with that so good luck trying to pinch those pennies when you can't even afford to put a new shower heads after the old ones fell off.

Fantastic experience: Julie's takeover has sparked a revolution at our gym! Her emphasis on fostering connections among members has created an amazing atmosphere where everyone feels valued and motivated. Under Julie's powerful leadership, this gym has become the ultimate destination for fitness and TENNIS . It's not just recommended; it's a must-visit for anyone serious about their health and well-being!

Fantastic experience: Ann is a stellar trainer/therapist. She is as good as my PT therapist where I did therapy after my stroke 8+ years ago.

Positive experience: I'm a genesis club subscriber but I'm not at the 24 hour location mine is on 13th and west. And my complaint is why does the non 24 hour genesis have a jam packed parking lot and that's why I rarely use my membership.

Fantastic experience: The group classes on Saturdays are the best. I never saw myself ever participating In a group workout, but seeing how the instructors encourage the group and them working out on the same machines we can use, really made it easy to join the Saturday morning workout with a bunch of like minded people. Julian and Adein know the perfect balance of work and fun to keep you comming back.

Fantastic experience: Over the past three months, I've dedicated myself to training with Aidan Leon. During this time, I've not only shed 20 pounds but also witnessed a remarkable 100% increase in muscle mass. Aidan's friendly demeanor and comprehensive approach make him highly recommended in my book.

Fantastic experience: My rating is based primarily on my personal trainer, Aidan Leon. He is a fantastic representative of your organization. His personal attention to my well- being and health is appreciated. His guidance has helped me become a lot stronger and mobile. I would have downgraded my rating if it had not been for Aidan. Some of my majors beefs are: Too cold in gym lobby. Lockers in men’s dressing room are always locked when no one is using them.

Fantastic experience: Love the club! My trainer Luke pushes me even when it's hard, but also makes the day fun and full of laughter! Keeps me motivated to continue!

Positive experience: This is the second time that I have been a member of the West Genesis Health Club. The first time was in 2000 over 24 years ago. The main reason that I joined this time was because I wanted to hire a personal trainer to get me back in the groove and habit of working out. When I joined back in September of 2023 I started working out with Aidan Leon who has helped me lose about 60lbs up to this point. Thank you, Aidan! In my opinion this is where they shine. The reason for 3 stars is because the gym needs an overhaul. It looks the same as it did 24 years ago minus 24 years of wear and tear and the tennis courts are new. Many of the dumbbells are worn out and the weights and weight clips can be difficult to find sometimes without wondering around a lot. The roof leaks when it rains and around Christmas time I had my wallet, gym bag, uniform, work badge and all my swimming gear stolen out of my locker. After that happened they were very apologetic and installed cameras in the front lobby but it was a major inconvenience that I am still dealing with. When it comes to their trainers they are a 5 star club but the club needs an overhaul. I know that the Genesis Health Clubs are expanding to other states and I have heard a rumor that they want 2 clubs in every state in the lower 48, but I think that they should also invest some of that money back into their existing properties.

Fantastic experience: Trainer Sam Loerke is THE BEST trainer I’ve ever had! Always bringing the best energy and pushing me to be the best I can be in all aspects not just physical

Fantastic experience: Aidan Leon is a class act. The dude knows his line of work inside and out. It’s crazy how knowledgeable he is at his age.. almost a doctorate level of knowledge. I went from having terrible posture and lower back issues then to now lifting as much weight as I can and living a pain free life. The support staff is awesome too. Thanks so much guys!

Fantastic experience: I’ve loved being a part of the Genesis community. The highlight of my week is attending Aidan’s group fitness class Monday/Saturday. It’s always a great workout with friends, plus great coaching. Aidan is the best!

He brings a level of enthusiasm that is contagious and he makes the sessions fun. Sam goes beyond just exercise, providing valuable insights into nutrition and lifestyle. Fantastic experience: Genesis on Sonora is great. Diverse equipment cables, freeweights, bikes and classes. Restrooms are always clean and stocked.the trainers are always helpful, one trainer in particular (Aidan leon) was very helpful with the geomeals menu as well as some tips on workouts.

Positive experience: I have been working out at West Genesis since 2003 and have had four trainers during this time. My current trainer is Adan Leon, who has helped me navigate some incredibly debilitating injuries. From not being able to walk 15 yards, I am now fully functional and working out 5-6 times per week, lifting heavy with 100% mobility, and I am pain free. The club is great and has all the facilities one could want. It is a welcoming environment. The club gets four stars, Adan Leon gets five!

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Genesis with the hopes of getting back into shape. Since day one, Aidan has helped me by building a plan and holding me accountable to ensure I reach my goals. He is very knowledgeable and always answers the various nutritional and workout questions I have. I can confidently say that I wouldn’t have made the progress I have without his knowledge and support. I would recommend Aidan and Genesis for anyone considering to get back in the gym!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I have been doing personal training with Tiger for the past year. He is so helpful and encourages me to push myself. There are plenty of additional exercise classes. My personal favorite is the boot camp with Aidan and Jillian. Also the protein shakes are delicious. Overall this Genesis is definitely 6/5 stars, would highly recommend. -Ian

Fantastic experience: Worked with personal trainer Aidan Leon for 6 months. He helped me create a workout plan and lift without hurting myself. He also gave me great meal options to help with nutrition. I lost 54lbs total and gained muscle. Facility itself is good and everyone there has been friendly.

Fantastic experience: When I first started genesis I wanted to better myself, I have been working out for almost two years now an everyday I come in here to work I wish my workouts never ended aside from getting big the people who lift here an the trainers are great and friendly. At one point I trained with a very proper gentleman named Aiden, Mr. Leon opened my eyes up to more goals for myself a results farther than I could’ve imagined or achieved for myself. Positive experience: What is the deal with cleaning women coming in the men's locker room? Not all men or their wives want the cleaning women to see them dressing or in an undressed state. Can they not find a better time to clean when no one is there, or get a man to clean the men's locker room?

Fantastic experience: Got signed up in March, it's now August and I am down 64 pounds. Very friendly staff, most helpful with every question asked, the trainers will even help you as they walk through, even if you're not training with them. I have never had a better gym experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get in shape and lose some weight. It is also quiet and comfortable with easy access to all the weight equipment and cardio machines.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, great staff. Clean, equipment in good shape especially for a 24 hour gym. Tim, the Manager, is a good guy. So are the trainers, who all work out here and will help someone without a second thought if they see you putting in the work. John, Dallas, Aiden, Juan, all great dudes. Lots of great people training here. Honestly, anyone with complaints about the place is just not bright enough to understand their contract or driven enough to see what a great spot it is. 100% recommend.

Negative experience: If I could give it 0 stars I would. Worst experience ever they are scammers. I originally had a free membership through Newman university and wanted to continue to go through the summer so signed on for 2 months and was told the membership would be canceled. That was not the case I started school so I was using my free membership but as soon as school was out they started to bill me. I spoke to the club manager at the time there and he said it was canceled I took his word for it, but continued to get billed because he did not tell me I had to sign a paper to cancel the membership . I spoke to the manager and tried to speak to someone higher up but they said they couldn’t do anything about it because no note was made by the manger that had canceled my subscription. The money was taken from my bank account over $700 when I never even stepped foot in the gym after graduation. Don’t take their free trials don’t sign up go to ANY other gym but GENESIS!!!!

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff, very friendly, and gives you a lot of options for all time for work schedules. I work on 3rd shift and they have times that work for me.

Positive experience: This is the branch on Socora even though they call it west central, egich makes no sense. We come for the pool. The therapy pool ‍♀️ is great for healing joints and getting excise at the same time. The staff is great. I truly believe that the Stephens could keep everything up just a little better. They put way more into the east side.

Fantastic experience: Just started coming in again after a few years of being lazy. I took advantage of the trainer sessions. Aiden, my trainer was awesome and ripped. Glad to be back and ready to lose this unwanted weight.

Positive experience: If you just use machines and go home this gym is great. The locker rooms and hot water can be hit or miss for weeks at a time, so if you are a gym before work person, it might not be the best fit

Fantastic experience: Shannon is the best instructor I've ever had. I have been taking her classes for about 30 years and if it wasn't for her a shiver to think what I might look like lol. In fact I probably would not go to Genesis if it was not for her. If you've never taken aerobics class I highly recommend you try one of hers and you will be hooked.

Fantastic experience: This place is way better than the YMCA. Yes it's more expensive, but it's worth it because it's usually so much less crowded there and it has a lot more equipment there. Also u can get a membership that includes you can take up to 3 people with u and they don't have to have a membership.

Negative experience: It’s a nice club. However, I don’t appreciate being blatantly lied to about my membership details. Especially coming from the “manager”- Timothy. When I signed up initially I was told a second person would be added to my account which was the only reason I agreed to sign a contract. They even gave him a card to use. He used it just fine and we never had issues until the last visit. Timothy used the analogy of “you can speed down Kellogg and still not get pulled over” saying that essentially we just hadn’t gotten caught and also assuming that we were doing something wrong to begin with. Also, when I brought up that he (Timothy) was the one that gave him the card to begin with, he stated, “anyone can get one of those”. I don’t appreciate being made out to be a liar when these people are the real crooks. I’m just glad my membership contract ends soon because this was enough for me to happily take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Just started back to the gym and everyone at West Central has been amazing! My trainer Alex LaForge-Luben is awesome! She works around prior injuries and always has an alternative exercises if I can't do something! She's always positive and is just awesome to be around!

Fantastic experience: My friend referred me to Genesis. I signed up with Julian I could tell see he was genuine in helping me with my weight loss goal so I became a member. Since being at Genesis I have lost 20 lbs we have kept in contact over the last few months keeping me connected to my gym even when at times I was discouraged. I’m happy I got started it isn’t easy being consistent but with the help I have had I’m making progress. Thanks!

Negative experience: Be very aware of their used car salesman tactics. Get everything they say in writing and read all the fine print. They are great at hiding fees and making empty verbal promises. Shady business!

Fantastic experience: Love, love, love Genesis Health Clubs! Genesis provides everything and more to help me be the best I can be. There is something for everyone, from weights, multi-level yoga classes, so many different group exercise classes, lap pool and aquatic classes. The steam room and hot sauna help to unwind and relax after working out. Genesis is more than a health club, it's a family. The social aspect of building life long friends from classes and with the instructors is priceless! The staff is wonderful and always ready to help. I just can't imagine my life without Genesis and the friends I've made there!

Negative experience: John g. Was very rude to me. I am a older gal and he acted like I was too old to obtain a membership. Acted annoyed when I asked question and told me this might not be the best gym for me. I went to genesis for years and stop going due to health problem. But I went to come back now that I am healthy and was very disappointed.

Negative experience: I was attending this gym for a trail period and when trail period was about to end John Gomez was very rude. He yelled across the room full of people members and employees and try to belittle my friend and I infront of everyone. I was very interested in the gym before this happen and was planning on signing up for a membership for when trail period was over. He was very demeaning and unprofessional, I worked in the customer service industry for 8 years and would never act like he did. Love the gym it’s unfortunate that I won’t be signing up due to John Gomez behavior.

Negative experience: Place is a joke. Signed a contract in 2017 said it was a deal 50 bucks for 12 months. I was like heck yeah signed the 30 page contract went one time they called me the next month asking for payment. I was like that not what I signed up for I only signed cause they said that amazing deal. No 2022 they are garnishing my check for 2500. Bunch of crooks why don't they get garnished for the 400000 they owe the city??

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend trying out this club. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff. Tim the club Manager actually cares about you. Facility is always cleaned and maintained. They will definitely have my business indefinitely. Highly recommended.
