Genesis Health Clubs - West Central

Fantastic experience: This place is way better than the YMCA. Yes it's more expensive, but it's worth it because it's usually so much less crowded there and it has a lot more equipment there. Also u can get a membership that includes you can take up to 3 people with u and they don't have to have a membership.

Fantastic experience: Just started back to the gym and everyone at West Central has been amazing! My trainer Alex LaForge-Luben is awesome! She works around prior injuries and always has an alternative exercises if I can't do something! She's always positive and is just awesome to be around!

Fantastic experience: My friend referred me to Genesis. I signed up with Julian I could tell see he was genuine in helping me with my weight loss goal so I became a member. Since being at Genesis I have lost 20 lbs we have kept in contact over the last few months keeping me connected to my gym even when at times I was discouraged. I’m happy I got started it isn’t easy being consistent but with the help I have had I’m making progress. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Love, love, love Genesis Health Clubs! Genesis provides everything and more to help me be the best I can be. There is something for everyone, from weights, multi-level yoga classes, so many different group exercise classes, lap pool and aquatic classes. The steam room and hot sauna help to unwind and relax after working out. Genesis is more than a health club, it's a family. The social aspect of building life long friends from classes and with the instructors is priceless! The staff is wonderful and always ready to help. I just can't imagine my life without Genesis and the friends I've made there!

Fantastic experience: Staff super friendly and helpful, not pushy. Clean facility with nicely equipped locker rooms. Great mix of machines, free weights, core/stretching area. Trainers (if used) are very knowledgeable and goal oriented.

Positive experience: Great place. Relaxing and love the movies playing on the big screen. Just wish the wet sauna would not be broken in the women's locker room. Seems like it has been broken the last 2 months.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality This is a really good gym it had everything you need plus all the extras. It’s a good environment and all the workers are really cool. The biggest thing for me is the 24hr access you can’t get that most places.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality Really nice facility. Worked out here while in town for the holiday. Busy, but not crowded in the early morning hours. Plenty of equipment and space including a small indoor track. Club Manager Tim and the staff there were friendly and helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: Great professional people! Paige at the front desk was super helpful and friendly when o told her I’d never been to this location. She showed me where everything was and offered to answers any other questions that I had. Love that I can go to all the different locations here in Kansas while I’m traveling get treated like I’m a regular there.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Gage Velez is a great dude with a wealth of knowledge. Love his shakes. Genesis is a second home with great equipment. Gage needs a raise or a promotion with all of his hard work and dedication. Gage also speaks very highly about Rodney. Love this place and tell Gage to keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, nearly as good as the country club I used to go to in Scottsdale Arizona that was $300 a month. Everyone is super nice, sauna is always hot. Always an open machine or weight set. Plenty of room. Tiger is a good trainer also.

The staff is so friendly, gym is very clean, not always super crowded (which is nice if you’re an anxious person and you don’t like working out around a lot of people like me), great protein shakes! I could go on and on, I’m definitely glad I joined this gym!

A big shout out to Dallas Guinn for his constant flow of knowledge and motivation, and Tim for all of his assistance and just being an all around good guy!

Fantastic experience: My son participates in the youth tennis program and the coaches are very good. We appreciate the welcoming atmosphere as well as the friendly competitive structure that keeps my son interested in improving his skills strength and conditioning. Fantastic experience: Always clean with a great family and gym atmosphere that always promotes and rewards hard work and perseverance. Always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome which makes it feel like a second home. Clean locker room with an amazing lounge room and spotless showers, cleaner than my own. Trainers always nice and more than willing to help give tips and tricks even when they aren’t training you. With a great manger in Travis Simon who will not rest until you become assimilated into the lifting life. With super hot front desk girls.

Emily and Hannah work with our kids as swim instructors...Fantastic teachers with a ton of patience. I trust the clients in the building with me much more than I would at some place like the YMCA. Great place!

Fantastic experience: I have severe arthritis in both my knees and my dr told me I needed to exercise. Conventional exercise was not going to work so it was suggested that I try water aerobics. So I joined the club in March 2021 and could not be more pleased with the results. The classes are fun and energetic and best of all I have lost 40lbs and my knees are starting to feel better. So thank you Tim for getting me signed up and to Becky, Rhonda, Mona and the other instructors for making class so much fun.. You guys are great.

Love the environment here everybody knows everybody and pushed eachother to do better. Also Travis Simon is the best trainer you can have for whatever goal you want to achieve.

Fantastic experience: This was the first Genesis I’ve been to in person, and I absolutely loved it! I’ve always have heard great things about the facility’s and the employees but have never experienced it for myself til a few months ago. The environment is always very cleaned and is well equipped with tons of equipment. Everyone there was very welcoming and made sure to make me feel at home

Fantastic experience: If you like to exercise, Genesis is definitely “the RIGHT PLACE TO BE.” I enjoy personal training. It keeps me motivated to stay fit. Genesis has a lot of personal trainers to pick from. I know there is the right one just for you! In my case, I have two personal trainers. Tiger Faulkner is really good at knowing proper body positioning and nutrition. He makes it all FUN! Manny Aceves makes you work hard! I mean really hard!!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the West Central location for years and love the atmosphere and the service! Not only do they have a great setup for cardio and weights, but also the staff is always going above and beyond to make members feel welcome!

Fantastic experience: Work out, swim, play tennis, run laps, weights and weight machines. I love the groups, Group Power, Group Cycle, Core Challenge, etc. The best instructors and really saving my life and restoring health. Thank you so much to Tonya and Anne and all the instructors for so much dedication and hard work!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the junior tennis program at Genesis west. The coaches are very kind and knowledgeable about the game and work with kids of all skill levels. We started our daughter there when she was very young and knew nothing about tennis. They taught her fundamentals of the game and worked with her in group classes and private lessons and she is now a very solid tennis player.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism We absolutely love the tennis instruction at Genesis West! The coaches are wonderful and professional. Both their private and group lessons are great. My daughter loves it and has made great strides!!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Taylor and Shelby have been instrumental in getting me back on track. These ladies know what they are talking about, aim to please, and are not shy about putting your plan to purpose. West Central is where you need to be. Never a dull moment and you will thank them later.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the West Genesis for over 10 years and have always been happy with their accommodations and staff. The gym is clean and provides a variety of machines and classes. The group exercise classes are fun and challenging with very knowledgeable instructors. Yoga classes are very good and the instructors provide options to fit individual abilities.

Fantastic experience: Genesis Health Club is Is the number “1 “health club in my view. I have been a member for 19 years, the trainers and staff treat me as I am the most important person there. You will find the pools are clean, the hours are terrific for working out after work, the price is reasonable, the locker rooms are clean and modernized- and I can go on and on about the benefits of being a member. I have great support from an experienced certified , knowledgeable, dedicated trainer. Carissa Palacios works closely with me and all her clients at what ever fitness level to help us achieve our health and fitness goals. Carissa informs me about all the other possible classes and activities at the club in addition to my training. You need to come see for yourself - there are no gimmicks, just honest commitment to you the member.

Fantastic experience: My husband & I have been members since June 2019. Had a great trainer, enjoyed water classes and have an excellent yoga and stretch class instructor. Really improved our strength and fitness. We work out in the gym 2 to 3 X's/wk. Really like the facility. Have every activity most people want. It is clean, pleasant and staff is very friendly and helpful

Fantastic experience: Awesome instructors and trainers (spin classes here are the best!!!) Not to mention that in nearly 20 years of membership, I have left and gone to the Y twice thinking I am saving 20 bucks or more per month and gaining more locations to work out, but I always end up coming back and rejoining Genesis because of the environment being so much more conducive to those who are truly interested in health and fitness as a lifestyle. The staff is also very friendly and makes you feel welcome and part of a family so you feel comfortable making working out a part of your daily routine.

Fantastic experience: It is different from other genesis. This one has educated trainers who are knowledgeable and care about their clients. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and no matter who you are you can go there and do what you joined the gym to do. Stay in good health or push your body. My trainer is josh! You should ask for him! He knows almost everything and tailors your training to what your goal is.

Fantastic experience: This club is phenomenal! Gabe is awesome, always ready to help out in anyway possible to make sure I’m on track with my goals. My personal trainer, Travis, is the best I’ve ever worked with. Every session feels like another success, pushing me further than I’ve thought I could go (and always gracefully dealing with my b.s). You can’t go wrong in joining this club!

Fantastic experience: Andrew Held and his team of trainers do a great job engaging club members in their personal fitness journey. Some gyms are only focused on signing up endless numbers of members with the hopes that they will pay dues and rarely frequent their establishments. Not Genesis! The training staff and fitness instructors work hard to engage members and help them achieve fitness goals... And keep them active and coming back! Even with this goal of maintaining high levels of utilization, I have never had to wait for a piece of equipment or fight for weights (unlike past experiences at other gyms.)

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite club to workout at! All of the Genesis locations are great, but this one has the most equipment available out of the locations in my area of town. Besides top-notch weight room equipment, they have a basketball court, indoor Olympic size pool, tennis courts, an excellent nursery, and more. They have great group fitness classes, including classes that are fun for the kids!
