Negative experience: Spoke to the manager 2 months ago and she promised she would refund my card the $70 as the last manager had messed up my account, and as well take my card out of the system as it kept being charged and that she would call me when it was all done I got no call or refund and instead when I went in to follow up on the refund the same manager said I can’t get anything refunded and I should call there billing department and they potentially can get something refunded but no promises she also did not have a phone number for them and said I can just google abc billing to find the number. Telling everyone I know to stay away from this gym.

Negative experience: This ain’t about the gym. It’s about yall gym goers. None of yall can drive. Blowing stop signs, driving over curbs to park. One of your old lady customers came flying through the mall parking lot doing 25+ and damn near hit someone cause they didn’t wanna stop at the stop signs. Get a grip

Fantastic experience: Verge Fitness is hands down one of the best gyms in Bismarck, ND The space is super clean, the equipment is top-notch, and the vibe is really motivating. The staff is friendly and always around to help, whether you need personal training, workout tips, or just a little extra motivation. They have 24/7 access, which is a huge plus for anyone with a busy schedule. The group fitness classes are killer (in the best way), and if you’re looking to lose weight, build muscle, or just get in better shape, this is definitely the place to be. Another thing I love is the recovery options—they’ve got infrared saunas,cryotherapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy which really help after tough workouts. It’s not just a gym; it’s a full-on fitness and wellness center.

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment, good trainers, great rehabilitation facilities and even a nutrition bar. Not many gyms like it in the Midwest. Definitely one of a Kind.

Negative experience: No idea how they got my number but they’ve been spamming me with “exclusive offers” for a couple years. I didn’t ask for this. It’s annoying to send texts to my personal phone. I shouldn’t have to take time out of my day to keep “reporting as junk” and then get another message in my inbox a few days later.

Fantastic experience: The staff is great and friendly and they have a variety of thins to do and are open 24 hours a day

Fantastic experience: I used to work out here few years ago and it's a night and day difference in cleanliness and the locker room and gym area are in much better shape as well. Glad I came back!

Fantastic experience: Overall verge has been really good to me, especially coming back home and getting set up on a routine again. Kevin is a real hard worker and along with his coworkers they make a great environment to motivate you to come back. When I move to a new place I fear I won’t be able to find the same level that verge provided to me. Hats off to you Kevin, thanks for all you’ve done.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are courteous and attentive, but I'll give a specific shout out to Kevin! He has a unique way of making people feel special and cared for. The gym itself is all any weightlifting enthusiast could need.

Fantastic experience: I deleted my last review since it was a little hasty on my part. Some reason I got two gym memberships which is why I paid more but they were able to cancel it and I just got my refund, a lot sooner than I expected, which is a huge deal since most places don’t let the refund go through for 7-10 business days. Besides that it’s a great gym to workout in if anybody’s in the area

Negative experience: No employees to be found at the front desk to help with sign up. Didn't even end up going, so cancelled my membership. Now a year or so later, I get a call that my verge fitness account is in default, has been sent to collections, and now I'm being sued for almost $500 bucks....for daring to try to get my daughter to go to the gym. How does a monthly gym membership go into default? How does it get to collections without any notifications to me? This is predatory and I'm calling a lawyer.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! It is always clean, the floor layout is smooth, and they have a ton of variety when it comes to machines, free weights, and recovery.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym for the cost. Good equipment and they continue to get more quality equipment. Had some issues with my 24 hour access the last couple of weeks, but I stopped in yesterday and the guy at the front desk got everything straightened out very quickly.

Fantastic experience: I feel I need to send your team a message. I had total knee replacement 3 weeks ago . I am at 8 wk level of recovery at 3 weeks post op because of this facility. The trainers cater to your needs. I can’t squat, so the trainers leave a bike in the room so I can strengthen on this while others squat. They Bring me a tall cushion so I can sit and lift weights for upper body work out. What facility does this ?? Verge does. Thank you from this 65 year old gramma !!

Negative experience: Paid for 1 year in advance. My daughter went to work out and was denied entry because we didn’t have billing info. There was nothing to bill! Was given tons of attitude from Justin at the front desk. I will be canceling both of our memberships immediately after being treated so rudely

Fantastic experience: I’m a visitor to Bismarck but this is the best gym I’ve been to here. It’s the only lifters gym. The gym is plenty clean, the big fans both work, there is plenty of high end equipment, a ton of plates and lots of free weights.

Negative experience: On August 31, 2023, I visited the establishment to inquire about signing up for a membership and politely inquired about the new shoe sign. However, the interaction took an unfortunate turn. The staff member perceived my questions as rude despite my intention to be respectful. During our conversation, the employee attempted to persuade me to enroll in an $80 special offer, which diverted from my initial intention of seeking information. I expressed my interest in speaking with the manager, to which he claimed to be both the supervisor and owner. The individual in question had blonde hair. It became apparent that there were miscommunications and assumptions made, particularly regarding my membership preference, which I had intended to be a $10 option. I am inclined to address this matter with the manager during our scheduled conversation tomorrow, which I did not get due to earlier problems. Furthermore, I am considering reporting the incident to the Better Business Bureau due to the concerns raised during the interaction. I am a disabled person, and I believe this interaction was ableist, discriminated against me for disabilities and was unnecessarily hostile and threatening me to leave for not buying anything.

Fantastic experience: If I could rate it more I would. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful and the environment could not be more welcoming. Verge is hands down one of my favorite places to be

Negative experience: I returned to verge after 5 months off from having a hip replacement. Nothing has changed. Its still dirty the mens locker room smells like a zoo. AC and over head fans still don't work and was told by the front desk it hasn't worked all summer. So the classes that they put on have to have the doors open because they have no air circulation. So everyone working out on the gym floor has to listen to instructors screaming and music blasting out of the rooms. I can't even hear my music on my headphones because it's so loud. I asked if we could shut the doors and they explained what I all ready explained. Was also told that because they pay a higher membership fee than I do that I have to deal with the situation. Well guess what I don't have to put up with it and will be taking my business some place else.

Negative experience: Okay so, this gym is honestly really filthy. I’ve been going here about 6 months, and was able to look past how dirty it is for quite awhile. They closed the gym down a few months ago “for cleaning”, and everything was still just as dirty when we came back. The machines are literally sticky and have hair stuck to them… also, with summer having just started, their ac is broken. It’s hotter inside the gym than outside. And their major ceiling fan is also broken. The machines are also breaking down. I cancelled my membership because it wasn’t enjoyable or comfortable anymore. As I was cancelling, when I was asked why and tried to explain- the employee cut me off after my first reason. And he was recording us as I was cancelling, which I get he was probably asked to do by management but it made me a bit uncomfortable. One last thing, if you do get a membership here, put your account and routing on file. Otherwise it charges extra every month to come out of your card. The same employee who cancelled me signed me up, and refused to properly explain this. A nice gal let me know one weekend when I checked in.

Fantastic experience: Never signed up for very long but was happy I could get a reasonable price on a week pass while visiting family from out of state. Was very impressed with gym. The equipment, while a bit older for the most part, was more than suitable and the gym overall definitely had an old school" grittier" feel to it which I preferred. LOTS of cardio and weight lifting equipment. Dumbbells up to 150lbs was also very cool as most of the gyms where I live only go up to 120. The men's locker room was a bit dirty but that wasn't a deal breaker. Next time I'm back in town I'll definitely be coming here again and getting another pass.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy Verge fitness. The Regymen classes are a blast. I appreciate the energetic coaching style of Christie, Zayden, and Justin.

Positive experience: Make no mistake, it's not a state of the art gym full of the latest technology or newest equipment. But the staff are nice, the location is great, and the price of monthly membership simply can't be beat.

Fantastic experience: If you want a great mix of both cardio and weight training try a Regymen class!! The instructors are excellent and will encourage you but also correct you to make sure you are using proper form to prevent any injuries.

Fantastic experience: I'm a recovering junkie when I came to verge Fitness 3 months ago I was at my heaviest weight I've ever been I've lost 14 pounds increased my maxes by 20 -100lbs the atmosphere here is amazing. The staff is friendly knowledgeable and willing to fix any issues they up keep the equipment and offer a huge variety for affordable prices. Thank you for helping save my life before I came here my doctor said I was going to have a heart attack if I didn't change my life in a hurry thank you for being a part of this journey in my life

Negative experience: After 10 years in the fitness industry in varying states, this is by far one of the worst gyms I've been to. Dirt and grime everywhere, rude kid at the desk, equipment was scattered everywhere...and not even a free trial to try this place? Makes a person wonder how they got so many 5 star ratings...a free month I bet . I would have rather given my $15 to a panhandler

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife belonged to verge fitness ( golds gym) fot almost 9 years. We average going to the gym between 5-7 days a week. The staff was friendly and courteous.

Negative experience: Gym equipment like the bikes are broken or falling apart half the time. The women's bathroom usually only has one working stall. Overcrowded if you go after 5pm. It takes forever to cancel a membership and they never returned any of my phone calls or emails inquiries. I only joined because some of my friends go here-- look for a different gym if you just moved here!

Fantastic experience: I love the variety and pretty much all the staff are great. Lots of options to choose from to train and get stronger to getting more agile. The classes are also pretty amazing. Overall great gym to go to.

Fantastic experience: Started my health journey with Verge Fitness on December 10, 2021. I lost 19 lbs, 9 inches and 7% body fat in 6 weeks as part of the Regymen transformation program. I have since continued my fitness journey and have managed to take off and keep off an additional 6lbs. It is always a pleasure to go to the gym because of the fantastic staff and programs they offer. On days when I don’t utilize the programming, there is ample equipment to have an uninterrupted workout on my own.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Verge for about 5 years now. They have enough equipment so you don’t feel like you’re on top of other people or fighting to get a lift in. The entire gym (including the changing rooms) is always clean and tidy. No need to go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: been going to this gym for almost a year now since they have such a great monthly fee, and when your inside the gym it may not be the biggest gym but it has everything you need. The owners are super nice they greet you every time you walk in and the atmosphere is great. Would 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been at Verge fitness for 8 years. I have had a membership since before it was renamed to Verge. I’ve enjoyed the entire 8 years of their customer service, their facility has SO many equipment options, and friendly/helpful staff. Highly recommend Verge to all.

Fantastic experience: I love the friendly faces that greet me when I come in. Knowing me by name. Makes you feel like you belong. I took advantage of the REGYMEN BLAST and REGYMEN BURN classes. I love them. The best experience I have ever had at a gym. I have also taken advantage of Dr. MOOS, the chiropractor. He does a fantastic job. If you are looking to start going to a gym but not sure what to do. I would recommend starting with the classes apposed to just the open gym. You get to know other people and build friendships as well as having a partner to go to the gym with to hold accountability.

Fantastic experience: WHAT A GYM! I’ve been to several different gyms in my life and can with 100% confidence say this gym is home. The Regymen program is by far my favorite. The variety and change every workout is great and helps prevent me from getting bored of the same routine. Trainers are phenomenal and Angela is quite the hype woman! Great environment to better yourself in and meet new people.

Negative experience: I had gotten a Gym membership right before Covid because they were open a little longer then the larger Corporations. I paid the $15 a month to have no contract. First off they were charging me all the months they were closed due to Covid. Secondly more recently over the last 3 months I’ve been calling in trying to cancel my membership and was told every time somebody would reach out to me. Nobody ever reached out after 3 months. Finally more recently I went in to cancel it in person, I spoke with the owner briefly explained my situation and he ran too the back. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD QUALITY BUSINESS EXPERIENCE.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Verge Fitness for a little over a year. I must say, I couldn't be happier with the experience I've had there. Everyone at the club is very friendly and inviting. All the coaches are very willing to help with any questions or concerns about your personal goals or challenges you may have. When I started I had an injured wrist and was in a cast. They did a great job showing my how I could modify some of the exercises to still get the most out of my workout and not injure my wrist more. If you are looking for a gym I highly encourage to give Verge a try and you are sure to make a new friend or two as well!

Fantastic experience: Verge Fitness is a very social media active fitness center. They provide a 30 page nutrition recipe guide and plenty of advise. Classes are available for those just starting their journey with fitness to those who need a group of people. Had a great start/finish experience with the fitness center. All staff is friendly and willing to assist.

Fantastic experience: Started going to Verge about 4 weeks ago and started doing classes with the coaches. I have been nothing but pleased with how the classes are run and the workout you get with each class. They also give you options for each workout move, so if you are like me coming off injury or just getting back into working out you can build your strength back up. They all want to see you make progress and will help as much as they can. Update: been going now for a while. The people at Verge are so great. Very open to help and are excited to see you each time you come in!!

Fantastic experience: This place has come a long way since it was the old gym! Verge is always clean, and staff is always friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone that would ask me. For all those that left the old gym. Come try it out again. You will see how much it has improved. They also have great weight loss coaches! Unlike other places that sell you their plan or their pills and say good luck! The verge weight loss coached actually stand beside you the entire journey. You can stop in and talk with them, text or call them. Great Job Verge Fitness for going the extra mile for your clients!

Negative experience: 4-5 years ago, I was a golds gym member. I had an account with them and before I left I cancelled my membership VIA mail, which got confirmed with me after they called me confirming me leaving (and trying to get me back as a member). 2 years later, I'm looking up my credit and I have a unpaid bill from "Verge Fitness" for amount shown in picture (125.65). They never properly cancelled my account and kept charging me. I contacted Verge Fitness multiple times and they said they would get back to me through their billing team, which never happened. I've had this bill for about a year now, disputed it, and with was not able to get this resolved with NO luck (because the confirmation was through mail). After a year of this painful process of trying to get this resolved, I finally bit the bullet and paid for their mistake and paid this in full. I'm writing this review to let you know that this can happen to YOU, so be aware when signing your name on the dot that after you cancel with them, they may still try to collect a payment from you.

Fantastic experience: Awesome chiropractor! Bonus massage chair. At two minutes left of massage I fell asleep. So I would say very relaxed place pleasant people. I would refer anyone there

Negative experience: Place is a RIP off. The 7 day free trial is not for a person to try the gym out. It has something to do with personal training.

Negative experience: I cancelled my account with them back in September. After four conversations with staff and personally going in, I am still getting notices that I owe them money every month when my membership should have been cancelled months ago. I was going to come back to them once I was ready to go back to the gym, but after this ordeal I will not be returning. It should not be this difficult to cancel a membership.

Fantastic experience: I love working out at Verge. Every single trainer that I have had are wonderful. I look forward to going there to workout. Thank you for everything you all do. My life has changed because of the encouraging people there. I also eat healthier because of you.

Only complaint is it would be nice if the power racks had benches assigned to them so you didn't have to hunt one down and drag it over. Besides that- excellent. Fantastic experience: I joined the 6 week program the middle of November. The instructors are awesome and stayed with me throughout the program. It was way easier than I thought it was going to be. The classes were great and fit into my crazy schedule. The awesome news is that I exceeded my goal in 4 weeks!!! Fantastic experience: I've been going to Verge for two years. It is the longest I have stuck with a gym and workout routine. The Regymen classes are so fun and customizable to all fitness levels. They are always looking for new and fun ways to improve your workout experience. The coaches and members are so supportive and do not judge. It feels like a family. There are also always fun things going on to keep you motivated and have fun!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love coming here. I've been to a lot of gyms (good and bad) and verge has to be hands down my favorite. The amenities they provide are plenty, and for the small amount they charge for a membership/add-ons, you couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. Fantastic experience: The transformation program works when everything else fails. Multiple classes available with changing routines and encouraging and motivating leaders. You will see noticeable progress each week.

Negative experience: I left this gym over 2 years ago - and have noticed there has been more charges from this gym this last year! I have emailed and called, leaving a message to get no answer. When I finally DID get an answer, I was assured it would be corrected and I would get my money back. Lo and behold, I was charged $50 this month! Poor customer service!! Edit 1: It has been nearly a week since I finally got in contact with someone who could help me. She was very kind and apologetic of what happened, and feels that it may be an error of someone with a similar name who signed up. She sent me a copy of the "signed" contract - which has the signature name clearly spelled wrong. I've been waiting for a full refund of nearly $90, but have only been reimbursed $60. I have emailed them yet again to try to sort this out. Overall - completely shady system who seems to cut corners and overcharge people, and hope no one notices.

Negative experience: I called a month and a half ago to cancel my membership and the man that answered my call told me that we would put it in the notes to cancel it. I then got charged another month so I called on the 27th of September to see if my member ship was canceled and the lady told me she would put it in the notes to cancel my membership. Well I got a call today saying they were going to cancel my membership but you have to give a 30 day notice, which I did. She then told me she would cancel the charge but it gets sent to billing on the first of the month even though there waited till the 1st to call me back. Even though I gave them proper notice they did not contact me about a 30 day notice nor did they get in contact with me till the next month so they could charge me again. Will never do business with this company again.
