Planet Rock Climbing Gym: Opinions

Fantastic experience: Every person at planet rock was nice and welcoming but the absolute GOAT of hospitality is Michael. He made us feel at home and I really want to come back just for him. Thank you Michael! (And thank you for not taking our camera to lost and found!)
Fantastic experience: Great climbing gym with good vertical. Be sure to check out all the walls. The left most wall generally has the more unusual climbs.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. I have been going there for 5+ years and it was always an amazing experience. Staff are stellar and super welcoming.
Negative experience: Prices are exorbitant. They removed kids pricing so my 3 yr old and I were charged the same fee.
Fantastic experience: Amazing for adults and kids!
Negative experience: Decent place, but I’d rather go to other gyms if possible. The routes are fun for both top rope and bouldering. The place is a bit older and could use some updates, but nothing different from most climbing gyms. A lot of the staff is very friendly, but there are some bad apples for sure. I was rudely approached by one of the staff stating that they have a rule that both belayer and climber need to be belay certified to top rope climb, I apologized and had let him know that I was told it was okay for me to tie their knots and belay them by another staff member. I didn’t fight what he was telling me and agreed to stop belaying any of the new climbers that were with me. He continued on with a rude condescending attitude telling me that whomever told me that was wrong and that this somehow compromised their safety. If this was on lead I would agree 100%, but it’s top rope, a figure 8 is not hard to tie and safety check. I’ve been climbing for many years and is the first gym I have ever been to that has this rule, to be approached by staff member with such a rude composure when I wasn’t being reckless seems ridiculous.
Negative experience: This gym killed my love for climbing and I'm heartbroken. I was a passionate 3x weekly climberin Colorado. I loved the physical challenge. But this gym's boulder route setting is hostile to intermediates and beginners. Even at lower v levels they are heavy on shallow crimps, heel hooks, and other advanced techniques. I haven't come close to sending a single v3 - many of them I couldn't even figure out how to start. There are very, very few v2s and v1s, and they rarely label any of their routes. Even worse, their 1s and 2s don't reinforce the techniques needed for their higher route levels. Nearly all of the bouldering is overhang with a bit of slab. I even emailed asking for a coaching session so I can at least learn what skills I'm expected to have for their bouldering. Their response? "Just climb more." I'm sorry, but I don't enjoy standing at the wall unable to get into a starting position. That's not climbing. I now understand why there's a startup fee for the membership - because people don't stay long.
Fantastic experience: Great climbing gym with lots of walls at different climbing levels. With an awesome bouldering wall and friendly staff it is a great place to climb, learn and have fun
Fantastic experience: Been there for years. Staff are always friendly. Just hope the route to be updated more frequently as a frequent climber;)
Negative experience: I wish they have kilter board .
Fantastic experience: A friend and I went for a starter class on the 24th. The staff was very nice and the place was incredibly clean and organized. We were taught alongside Jacob and Casey and they were amazing. Casey let us amateurs belay him with complete trust and upbeat energy. Jacob instructed our beginners class and he was more than helpful. He walked us through every step and went over it as many times as needed. He was patient, kind and incredibly calming in a possible stressful setting. He was informative, friendly and just overall had a great way of teaching without judgment. He went above and beyond with later on checking up to make sure we were carrying on okay and cheered us on when we needed a bit more of encouraging. He had mentioned he was a part of the newer staff being there for only four weeks! He definitely made the environment twenty times more welcoming! Just an incredible experience all around and will definitely be coming back soon!
Positive experience: I mainly boulder, they have a good amount of routes at varying skill levels. Staff is nice and generally people at the gym are also nice. Only real downside is the number of little kids, they're usually well behaved but occasionally one will ignore their parents or the coaches and climb right next to you or run under you.
Fantastic experience: Can get busy and hard to get climbs in at times. But everyone here shares, and the staff is extraordinarily kind and helpful. I'm a disabled veteran that suffered paralysis in my right arm. This gym and it's staff helped keep me coming back, and not only did I get stronger, my bad arm is doing things I couldn't do when it was uninjured. The staff and the environment here gave me so much back, and benefited my life in just more than making me physically fit. If you're thinking about trying you should come here.
Fantastic experience: Nice place for beginners and pros. good price and very fun free climbs!
Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing and started my love of climbing, I am so proud to climb here and proudly say I’m a rock climber. All the staff are amazing and friendly and they love to get to know you, everyone is welcome at planet rock and I love planet rock.
Fantastic experience: This sizable facility offers many different levels of climbing from little kiddos to the very advanced. Its one of the largest climbing gyms I've been to in the US. The scale of this place is a bit of a sensory overload. I like the classes offered for the kids. The pro-shop is well stocked and the cafe area is quite helpful when you need some chill time.
Fantastic experience: One of the best climbing gyms I’ve been to! Great lead routes & their bouldering was pretty great, too. Well set routes that challenged me but felt funky and fun!
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, lots of climbing for all levels. Great climbing gym
Fantastic experience: Youth programs are a great intro for kids
Fantastic experience: Really difficult but fun once you get the hang of it !
Positive experience: Courses there were great and they were even doing the work of making new ones while we were there but the boss on call couldn’t have cared less if I got the proper training. There was a woman who was nice to me upon arrival but after I filled out my waiver she ended up on a phone call so she had to hand me off to what I have now found out is the manager. He was very preoccupied with talking to another woman that he only worried about getting my card. He gave me the wrong shoe size and never asked me if I’d been there before. Thankfully I’ve been to other gyms so I have a general knowledge of what to do, how to do it and what everything is, but all in all he left me to fend for myself. I’m thankful I had prior experience because I can’t imagine having it be my first time and I’m just playing things at my own risk. I understand things can get busy or even if a worker is more interested in building a friendship with another client but the negligence on your part can put someone in danger in the future so please be sure to run the basics with ALL clients. All other employees on call were fantastic and were there for me to ask questions if needed
Fantastic experience: Used to be a great time here, they invested a lot into improving the overall experience of members: added a fitness gym, moon board, overall gym updates. Now it feels like the "start-up" hope has become stale. Routes aren't updated for over 2 months, a lot of perks have been taken away (additional day pass with the purchase of starter package, annual members being allowed to bring guests in for free for the month of November, etc). I used to love climbing here, it's become harder and harder to justify the cost of it now. I do enjoy what fitness equipment they do have, and the big window and being able to top out bouldering routes is cool, but I don't think the business practices are headed in the right direction EDIT: they're bringing back some member perks! Changing from 3 to 4! EDIT: routes are updated pretty often now!
Fantastic experience: First time going here and will definitely be going back. They have climbing for all different types of levels. We did the instructor course to begin with and they were super helpful and answering any of your questions and making sure you felt safe
Fantastic experience: Great community, enjoy the bouldering and belaying.
Fantastic experience: love this place. best gym hands down
Fantastic experience: Planet Rock is terrific for a family outing. Our family of 6 spent 4 hours bouldering and climbing walls and had blast. You can have zero experience and still enjoy yourself. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Planet Rock for individuals and families.
Fantastic experience: They have the best team kids, best staff and best community best climbing gym in the area
Fantastic experience: Signed up for a starter package and the instructor, Katie, was fantastic! I’m a slow learner and I have a lot of anxiety but she was super patient with me. I will be returning soon, thank you!
Negative experience: This gym caters heavily towards getting children involved in the sport of climbing. So if you don't like very young kids running around the climbing area and the free weight room, you're not gonna like it. It's also probably the filthiest gym I've ever been to. On top of that, the membership cost is ridiculously high and increased in price despite there being very few improvements to the gym itself.
Fantastic experience: Great activity for kids and adults. Day pass allows you to leave and come back, which is ideal since you get tired from climbing and then can go recharge and come back for more later. Super fun, will be coming back soon.
Fantastic experience: My favorite climbing gym ever!!!
Positive experience: A great gym that will definitely make you a better climber! There is a lot of space, has both bouldering and rope climbing (including a few autobelays) and a small workout area. I took a star off because it is not very beginner friendly compared to other rock climbing gyms. There aren't many easy routes, and even the easiest routes can be a bit intimidating to first time climbers. If you want to become a great climber and improve quickly, this is definitely the gym to do that!
Fantastic experience: I love this gym. The gym is filled with positive, motivated and outgoing people. Weather you are interested in confronting your fears, pushing your limits or having a lot of fun, this is where it gets done. You will meet so many good people and likely make many friends.
Positive experience: Setting here is actually good and the bouldering wall is basically one big cave which is dope. They set mostly crimp ladders but in a good way. My biggest concern is really the value. $80 a month for this gym is ridiculous. Based on the condition of the facility/equipment/holds I would expect to pay more like $30-$45. And don't even get me started on the state of their Moonboard. Oh my god that thing is FILTHY. Zero texture on those holds, only an impenetrable layer of chalk.
Fantastic experience: Awesome faculty. Awesome staff. Decent pricing. Will be back.
Positive experience: It would be useful to add some last minute changes on the website or on social media. I drove 15 miles just to find out they were closed earlier than usual.
Fantastic experience: I love this place!! I'm from Toledo, but would make the drive any day!
Positive experience: Good for ropes, not really a whole lot of good booking though.
Fantastic experience: Wow. An AMAZING experience and indoor walls!
Fantastic experience: it's a decent gym, probably top 70%. the wall angles are dope. need to reset more; some feet are so slick and fingers actually were turning black from the rubber/grime. grading is kinda all over the place, but that's like a lot of gyms. pretty soft up to ~v7 then it's really hit or miss. some accurate, some up or down a grade, but around v7-9 it starts to mirror outdoor difficultly. kind of feels like they don't have a bunch of strong climbers forerunning? some 6s are more like 4s, same with a few 5s that are like 3s. anything that mirrors technical outdoor climbing is very ...forgiving, but your overhung jug/crimp haul is more or less par for the course on the grades. thought the setting was pretty good though! could just use better grading. and maybe a tension or fricticious hangboard rather than the old/gimmicky stuff.
Fantastic experience: Have been a member here for years, love the environment and great community of climbers. They should bring back the crank nights and bring a buddy day so we can get friends more involved in the activity.
Fantastic experience: Like the sign on the wall “Did you clip in”. Safety, and fun walls.
Fantastic experience: Did the intro session with some friends. The staff were very knowledgeable and made it simple to learn the basics. For $45 it included the gear rental, the class, entry for the day as well as entry for one additional day.
Fantastic experience: It was the best!! We had such a blast. Me personally I liked the bouldering.
Fantastic experience: I went with my daughter and her friends. First time in 6 or 7 years. They gave me a refresher. A thorough refresher. I climbed a couple of times the tall but easier ones (5.7 and 5.8 in case that means something to you). Anyway, the employees were friendly. The place is well kept. It has a decent gym. The $20 fee covered both. They also have a coffee shop, a fireplace. It's a pretty chill place. Get a workout while having fun with friends.
Positive experience: Great gym and a huge facility. PR has been a staple for Michigan climbing for years. They bring a strong kids team to the national stage and they have very classic climbing style routes. All the climbers there are super nice and the community is great. The reason for 4 is that all of the great things about PR are overshadowed by the immense access/paywall to climbing that they provide. Specifically, in order to have access to their facility you must take a belay certification which costs an additional 50$ and 120 minutes of climbing time. PR has an extensive bouldering area and and personally I just boulder. It’s a shame. I often introduce people to the sport I love but I always have to skip PR and go to Dyno instead to have people come join me to climb. I hope that they change it so just bouldering is an option.
Fantastic experience: Love this place. I try to make it once a week. it’s a great workout
Negative experience: Pros: - It's a climbing gym in Michigan, you don't have much choice - Actual facility is spacious with toping out on the boulders - Has some basic barbell gym equipment Cons: - Place is filthy, even by climbing standards. They don't really enforce "don't go to the bathroom with climbing shoes on" - Routes often stay up for several months, get taken down with no schedule - Broken equipment (lifting eqp, water fountain, cubbies) stays broken for years - Chunk of the staff is just straight up aggressively rude...luck of the draw who you get :( - Only gym ever to require pricey 2 hour intro lesson on top roping before you can boulder. No exceptions - Have lied in attempt to charge me extra fees. Just sort of sleazy business practices. - Does not take safety seriously, allows the birthday party kids to run amok under climbers Take away: Now that Dyno in Detroit is open, skip this mediocre-at-best experience. Planet Rock has a lot of potential in its facility, but squandered by its poor staff and worse operations.
Fantastic experience: A+ great place to learn or advance your skills. Truly feel you are not judged here and everyone is helpful or learning themselves. Staff have always been friendly to work with. Check their website for training classes, prices etc. only downside is it can tend to get to crowded but goes to show climbing’s popularity is increases. Compared to their location in AA, I think this one has more room, more walls etc. it does feel more crowded since the bouldering area and climbing walls are all basically in the same area.
Fantastic experience: Great place to climb!
Fantastic experience: We had a great first experience today during our starter lesson. I do not have any experience with climbing equipment, but our instructor did a great job guiding us through the basics of climbing and belaying, stressing safety measures along the way. Though we did not have time to stay and climb after our lesson today, we will definitely be back in the next few days to put the basics we learned to the test!
Negative experience: Staff don’t smile… it’s like they didn’t want to be there! Not a warm welcoming place. Nice gym though, likely won’t go back to this location.
Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic time rock climbing with our instructor Nate. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and really helped me feel comfortable and confident as I learned the ropes (literally!). His attention to safety was top-notch, and he made sure to carefully explain and demonstrate proper techniques before we got started. The climbing itself was a lot of fun, and I feel like I learned a lot in just one session. I'm definitely looking forward to more rock climbing in the future, and I have Nate to thank for making my first experience such a positive one. Overall, I highly recommend Nate as an instructor for anyone interested in trying rock climbing. He is an exceptional teacher and a great asset to the climbing community.
Fantastic experience: Lots of fun! We did the beginner's class and then climbed for a little while after. The instructors were really great, the facility was large with lots of options, more than enough room for everyone there, and we look forward to climbing again!
Fantastic experience: No frills solid gym
Fantastic experience: I'm a first timer at this climbing gym. It seemed to be top rope/lead climbing focused. The main autobelay section is on the short walls unfortunately, with one autobelay on the high walls. One of the autobelay sections has a spray wall which i haven't seen in other gyms. So I definitely recommend bringing a partner, or be comfortable to ask for a belay to get the most out of the gym. There were two small bouldering areas. I didn't like the mats because they are the plastic type and my home gym had more of a cloth top which is much more comfortable. Routes here are graded and written on the start tape with the route setters name. Not as easily identifiable as other gyms i've been to that grade the routes by color. Other unique parts of the gym, they had ice climber training poles, a crack and offset width route. First timers can skip the class if they can pass the belay test. I made the mistake thinking i had to take the first timer class since it was my first time at gym, but they were happy to refund. I found the staff friendly and helpful and made me feel welcomed as a first timer.
Fantastic experience: First timer who was super anxious about starting this sport at 40 yrs old, had the best experience!! The staff, specifically Ellie & Evan, held my hand from start to finish! They made sure i felt safe & secure.. gave me the tour, tips, helpful info. All staff was knowledgeable and ready to help! Even during peek hours, they were proffessional and not overwhelmed. All of my concerns and questions were answered. A+
Positive experience: It’s fun to climb here but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve taken the belaying lesson twice because I hadn’t done it in years. The instructors are a little too laid back and they all teach a little bit different techniques. I referred my husband and two friends and they all said the same thing. I highly recommend hiring Chris or Matt from Project Forty to go for a real climb and skip the gym!
Fantastic experience: Aida was probably the nicest person I have ever met and my life is so much better for having met her. The rock climbing was pretty cool too. Now my forearms hate me.
Fantastic experience: I took my 10yo daughter to Planet Rock in Madison Heights and we both had an intro lesson approx 3 weeks ago. The intro lesson includes equipment rental with day pass as well as a second day pass to use within 30 days. A great deal imo. We came back today to use our second pass. Both times the experience was wonderful! The staff is fantastic! More then willing to offer help and guidance when needed and always with a smile on their face even when you walk in like a newbie. They are quick to offer tips and are careful to ensure that safety procedures are followed. There are kids and adults climbing side-by-sde but the atmosphere is one of courtesy and felt overwhelmingly positive. People seemed generally respectful of their neighbors. They are still under construction at this location so when things were busy on the weekend it felt a bit cramped but there were still plenty of open lanes when we wanted to move around. If this is your first time at a gym and you want to bring a younger child I recommend you bring another adult if you want to climb also. The autobelay is great, if a bit harrowing, but having an adult to trade off belay means more fun for all as there are far more regular rope lanes. My daughter was too nervous to use the autobelay, although many kids had no problem so your mileage may vary. All in all I could not be happier with the experience and recommend it to anyone looking for a great workout and fun time.
Fantastic experience: The Pontiac gym was my second home shortly after I graduated high school. I had never been a cool kid and it was awesome to finally find a place where I belonged. I had a diverse group of fellow climbers as friends and spent hours with them learning new techniques. Now, many years later all my kids climb and love it. It still feels like home. Occassionally a familiar face will pop up too.
Fantastic experience: Both my kids climb at both Planet Rock gyms, and we could not be happier. The staff are super friendly, and the kids programs they have in place are superb. Nothing seems too much trouble. We have climbed in gyms all over the Mid West, and these gyms are right up there with the best. The routes are updated constantly, so it is like going to a new gym all the time. Safety is paramount, and the staff are not afraid to point out concerns to experienced climbers if they feel they are not being super safe, or their technique is a little lacking. If you've never climbed give it a go, I think you and your family will love it!
Negative experience: Im sure the routes are good but they have a stupid cash grab that you need to be belay trained to use there gym, like no I just want climb boulders, and reading the other review about their go fund me lie seems like this gym does some questionable things. Great that dyno Detroit opened gives them some competition and when I went to dyno they didn't require some cash grab belay course.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, the kids had a blast! Shout out to instructor Andy for being very patient & encouraging with the kids!
Fantastic experience: New climber here. The gym is well outfitted with changing rooms, showers, a cardio room, weight room, and yoga classes. Additionally they offer snacks and a coffee bar with a beautiful fireplace lounge. It is kept very clean. There is a well-stocked shop that has a lot of different gear that is priced consistently with the rest of the marketplace. The main gym itself is very large and offers many different types of walls. They have bouldering, top-roping, lead-roping, speed runs and other walls for a wide variety of climbers. The equipment is well-maintained. For advanced climbers they have a lot of different challenges as well, but I'm not really qualified to evaluate those parts of the gym. There is a strong emphasis on safety as well. The staff are trained to make sure that every climber who enters the gym is properly trained on belaying and the basic knots and clipping skills. I would note that more advanced climbers may not appreciate the requirement to belay certify before climbing. The staff is incredible. They are welcoming and have a positive attitude. They are patient, thorough and informative. Specifically, Alex, Liam, Ethan and Fischer (spelling?) went out of their way to be informative and make sure we knew what we were doing all the time. Their service is what really makes Planet Rock stand out. This speaks to a well-run facility. Kudos to the owners and managers for keeping a great staff.
Fantastic experience: Really nice place for climbing, the staffs are very kind. I love this place
Fantastic experience: A great place to come and climb. Aida was very helpful and patient with helping with gear selection. There was a good selection of difficulties. All the people there were friendly and willing to give tips and pointers.
Fantastic experience: Love this place! Friendly staff and great training. Year pass is well worth it.
Fantastic experience: If you are new to climbing don't be afraid! The training course that they do is very well done and they will make sure you are good to go before you do any rope climbing. If you are new don't be afraid to ask staff for some pointers or to help freshen you up on belaying. Update here, been constantly climbing here, everyone is friendly helpful and routes are always being updated and there's enough time with them up to master them a few times! If you are interested in rock climbing please give it a try here at planet rock!

Negative experience: Not what it used to be, COVID destroyed the atmosphere of this place and brought to light many questionable business practices.
Fantastic experience: Amazing community and amazing gym. I just started climbing here after moving away from my main gym, and I was quite nervous about how people would be like here. Everyone I have met has been very kind and welcoming, without and hesitation, and because of that I am already making new friends! The gym itself is very spacious, with a large bouldering area, a huge wall for sport climbing, and above the bouldering section there are a good handful of auto belay routes, for when you don't have anyone to climb with. There is also a small area with weights that I have heard exists, but that I have not been to myself, a small mock ice climbing area, and lots of places where you can put your stuff (mostly cubbies, but there are some lockers). Overall the gym is amazing and has exceeded all my expectations, and the community that climbs here is one of the most welcoming communities there is. 5 stars, 10/10 would recommend to anyone, climber or not.
Fantastic experience: My daughter started in September the spider monkey classes so my husband and I decided to take a membership to have an activity we can do together. Best idea ever! We all love it and we love Planet Rock! ❤️
Fantastic experience: Amazing place, friendly and knowledge staff.
Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym full of very supportive climbers and employees.
Fantastic experience: The Yosemite mural in the weight room is a nice touch.
Fantastic experience: Planet Rock is so awesome! The staff there is super helpful and kind as well! They are on top of things there such as cleaning, helping people and watching to make sure everyone is safe! Me and my husband hadn’t been in a little while and need a refresh of how to tie the knot and belaying and the guy that helped us was GREAT! I don’t remember his name but he was patient and very thorough! We will be back for sure!
Fantastic experience: Loving climbing at Planet Rock. Really nice gym with lots of top rope routes and a good amount of bouldering. They also have a pleasant lobby area, viewing balcony, and exercise gym. I enjoyed the new climber class with great instruction and staff. Kudos to management for getting membership scan cards going. Check in is much quicker.
Negative experience: I unfortunately can’t recommended this gym for the starter class as the instructor was extremely unprofessional and not helpful. He frequently laughed or scoffed when we weren’t understanding and clearly rushed through the lesson to get it over with. The gym itself and the rest of the staff were amazing, but the starter class was a complete letdown as we were really looking forward to it, having climbed in the past and just looking for a refresher.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience for kids even for me next time. The team was great. Very helpful and nice.
Fantastic experience: Great first experience. Really fun spot. Nice workout. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, event nights are hit and miss. I still give the gym five stars because it is fantastic in pretty much all other regards.
Fantastic experience: Josh was a great instructor!
Positive experience: Great gym! Good options. Took a star off for the crazy intro class requirement. You are required to take an intro class your first time here so they can train you to top rope and belay. This policy should definitely go away for people who just want a day pass to Boulder. It also means there are tons of people there who probably should never belay someone because they haven’t done it since the last time they came to casually climb 2 years ago.
Negative experience: One of my friends was belaying and their mask slipped a little below their nose. A staff member rushed over and yelled at my friend for letting their mask slip off. You need two hands to belay someone so it would be impossible to adjust a mask while belaying. This staff member put my friends lives in danger by distracting the friend who was belaying and by insisting they let go of the rope to pull up their mask. The manager was extremely rude as well.
Negative experience: One guy on the staff was rude to me and aggressive. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Also, my friend said he was following her around the gym and being rude to her too. It was super creepy.
Positive experience: The climbing gym is a medium size gym with a Boulder area, multiple climbing areas and more surfaces to climb. If is your first time climbing you have to take an one hour long class first that costs $45 dollars and includes all the equipment necessary. After that there's many other activities and memberships you can use.
Fantastic experience: I'm a very big fan of Planet Rock's two locations. They have an excellent staff that's very polite, personable, and trained. I personally have a slight preference for the Madison Heights location because it feels more open, more colorful, and has a lovely resting spot. However I have a friend that prefers the Ann Arbor location because they have more routes that he's able to climb and he thinks they're rotated out more often (we haven't confirmed this).
Fantastic experience: Love this place! I go here once in a while to Boulder and they have a good sized boldering section. I like how they are always changing the routes, not sure how often, but it’s always different when I go. Routes are challenging. Both the staff and the climbers seem pretty friendly.
Fantastic experience: Exceptionally friendly staff and a great facility overall. I’ve been to a half dozen climbing gyms in my life, and this is the one I wish I could have in my backyard. They have multiple crack systems, a chimney, and even a place to dry tool. Just incredible in every way.
Fantastic experience: I haven't been rock climbing in a very long while, I believe Ren is the one who assisted me in finding the right harness and shoes to purchase. The entire staff is amazingly helpful and attentive to the safety of all climbers . Can't wait to come back
Fantastic experience: Did some climbing in the dark on Halloween this place has a distinct charm, different than the Planet Rock in Ann Arbor. Good mix of bouldering, top rope, lead climbing and also some slabs. There is speed climbing too but I think it might only be for team members. Great place for all skill levels. They have a small fitness area if that concerns you. Props to the route setters.
Fantastic experience: Great climbing gym with friendly staff. The distribution of climbing grades makes this a good place to train for all levels of climbers. Features a healthy amount of slabs and under hangs.
Fantastic experience: Planet rock is great. Everyone is nice. Routes change up all the time. Good coffee. Nice little pro shop area. There is a reason it gets so crowded. Just wish it was closer to my house
Fantastic experience: Always a great place to go! Lots of different climbing routes for all skill levels. They have done a great job with COVID keeping the place clean and a safe number of people for each time slot.
Fantastic experience: Great location. The punch cards make the per visit price not too bad. Worth it for the quality of the place.
Fantastic experience: Great staff, great walls, and excellent atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Love this place. They have covid protocols and people follow them. Lots of routes. Some auto belay.
Fantastic experience: This is a really great place. They are very helpful and considerate. Mary is really great. Ali is a really great instructor. He’s very patient and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience: Super fun got me into rock climbing for life
