Easton Gym Co: Opinions

Fantastic experience: This is a very old school gym, but in a good way. No bs, just a lot of workout machines and a lot of space and it never feels super or overly crowded when I go. The staff is very nice and helpful and this is one of the few gyms in LA that has a good sauna. I was amazed that Equinox, which is like four times the price didn’t have a sauna and that’s why I ended up choosing to gym here.
Fantastic experience: Great staff, great club!
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership and kept being charged do not trust these people . Going to take them to court. Obviously I’m not the only one as you can see at the reviews.
Fantastic experience: If the walls could talk! This gym started the modern gym concept, and anyone who's anyone in the fitness age, Golden Era or previous owes an homage to the spot that helped launch titans like Joe Gold Jack La Lane and damn near any actor of the era's past and present! The gym and equipment isn't Equinox but it has what is needed and has past the test of time. When you're inside and see the candid photos of all the stars, Tony Curtis etc that used the facility you can't help but feel somehow privileged. Now all that aside, the gym is tightly spaced and the air conditioning is the open windows. It gets hot but get over it and train and you'll be better for it!
Fantastic experience: Great gym!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in LA
Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms on the planet! Great community, clean, and has all the equipment you need. Never a wait for equipment even during peak times. People here come to train. Has an old school/vintage feel to it. Locker rooms are spacious. I’m moving out of LA and this is one place I’ll miss the most. The owners are awesome and front desk staff especially Joe are all cool. Thankful I had the opportunity to train here
Thanks for the kudos Paul. We'll miss you.
Positive experience: Great gym so far. Friendly staff. Love the rooftop patio for a break. Id upgrade to 5 star if you had the wherewithal to not inundate us with 6 CNNs while we're on the treadmill. 1 is absolutely more than anyone needs
Sorry Scott, all you have to do is tell the staff they have the same channel on all the TVs and they get 3 different stations on for you. They should be, a cable news channel, ESPN and a local channel.
Fantastic experience: Great gym and easily our favorite spot in LA. Local feel, great staff, good equipment, and an overall gem! Worth the price, never too crowded, and people are actually there to workout. I enjoy the amenities such as towel service, lockers, and a sauna downstairs. Can’t go wrong with Easton.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym. I have been coming here for over 5 years now. Everyone is always professional and polite, staff and gym goers alike. The set up is great, and it’s never “too slammed” to not be able to get a good workout in. Highly recommend!
Negative experience: Heaven forbid you deadlift anything over 200lbs.
Positive experience: Great gym overall, lots of equipment to use and there is ample parking. It's a bit expensive for what you get, but it's a good alternative to overcrowded gyms.
Fantastic experience: One of my favorite gyms in the world! Old school brick walls, amazing lighting, special place!
Fantastic experience: Great local gym in the heart of LA! Friendly staff that will go above and beyond making sure all members have a safe space to workout! So glad I found this place for me and my family to train.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Visiting LA for a week and Joe helped me out with a week membership. Equipment was great, loved the outdoor workout space, and goers were friendly. Would definitely recommend to travelers!
Positive experience: Good gym, getting real sick of putting people's weights back for them though. I want to go with a lack of gym etiquette which is pretty pervasive in LA. On another note, the leg curl machine freaks me out, I always feel like I'm about to launch headfirst out the window.
Positive experience: Easton Gym is a nice place to do workout by yourself. Clean and change room safe and clean. Most of people there occupy the equipments watching phones not do workout sometimes;I need to wait! Plz avoid crowded time to be there ! Someone left the equipment as worked , hope management can be improved about this. Parking is easy ! Most of people there are polite. 89/Month is reasonable price….. Shower , steam I never used! Toilet is clean!
Fantastic experience: Nice, secluded upstairs gym. Love the new Life Fitness cardio equipment. Staff is awesome! Toby is a class act person!!!
Positive experience: Pros: Great staff, high class clientele, has everything you need, free parking, good location. Cons: Really old equipment, no AC, somewhat pricey, few amenities. Update: 1.5 years later and still the same equipment has serious flaws, like cables that come out of slots or adjustment hinges that don’t work. Please spend a few thousand and fix things up.
Fantastic experience: An absolute gem. A must to be a part of.
Fantastic experience: Very special place, real vintage
Fantastic experience: Awesome, low-key gym with plenty of free parking. Sure, it's not flashy and doesn't have the fancy little Kiehl's products but those who go to the gym to work out aren't going to care. Oh, and no annoying "influencers" with their tripods taking up space.
Fantastic experience: excellent gym with great employees. well worth the $89 i paid for a week pass. love the sauna. & a special shout out to grant for helping me find my iphone when i left it there.
Fantastic experience: Super Place. Everyone is so friendly and got all the machines you need…
Fantastic experience: Plenty of weights (and in their correct spots). They keep the place clean. Lots of fresh air and sunlight due to all the windows surrounding the gym. Rooftop available. Not absurdly overcrowded like many LA gyms.
Negative experience: Be VERY careful with your personal information! I come to the LA area 2-3 times a year, and buy myself a weeklong membership for $89. Was FRAUDULENTLY charged $999 this morning, called, no one answered was forced to disable my credit card. I will pay cash from now on!!
Fantastic experience: Small but mighty! Good equipment with an old school vibe. Small rooftop area. Sauna. Friendly staff. Slight drawback is no a/c. Worth the price!
Fantastic experience: Definitely my favorite gym in Hollywood!
Fantastic experience: Zwei Wochen hier trainiert. Anmeldung problemlos. Gym ist sauber. Personal ist nett. Geräte top.
Negative experience: i don’t know what little girl is answering phones this morning, but she shouldn’t be working the front desk. rude and dismissive.
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym I found in that area, best combo of being both never too full and not overpriced and always has free parking. Has awesome roof where you can exercise in the sun, hit the punching bag, or do yoga with a class. Downstairs always has windows open all year so the entire gym is well ventilated and breezy. Equipment is older and it feels like you’re stepping into a historical gym. There are pictures of famous actors that worked out there. On another floor below there is a locker room and sauna where there is free hair gel, lotion, etc. Lastly, most of the people who go there are really fit so it’s quite motivational and gets you to work harder.
Positive experience: The coffee shop was great. Very cozy.
Fantastic experience: I live in the uk and have never been to this gym. I found out about it after I had visited the film location website for the film 'To live and die in LA'. Parts of that film were filmed in and around this gym. Great film and my favourite ! It gets a five star rating for that reason alone.
Fantastic experience: Was in LA for vacation for 2 weeks, and our hotel had a partnership discount with Easton just around the block. Great facilities with amazing staff - felt very welcoming and had a full range of equipment, clean showers and towels for use. Will be back!
Fantastic experience: Simple gym with a wide variety of equipment including a sauna and shower facilities. Whilst the size may not be the largest, this gym covers most of your needs!
Fantastic experience: Great place! The guys who run it know the business and are on their game. Down to earth and exclusive at the same time. One of the only survivors of its kind.
Fantastic experience: Perfect gym for a pro bodybuilder like me. love the atmosphere and the members in that place
Fantastic experience: Love love love this gym!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area
Fantastic experience: When I flew into LA on the way to Hawaii I was looking for a gym I could drop into that would have easy access to barbells and other strength & conditioning equipment. Photos of this space don’t show a lot so I figure I’ll note that they have a wide variety of machines, and a handful of barbells and associated racks. They also have a surprising amount of machines like stair masters and two free running treadmills (as well as the standard cardio machines). I did not see nor look for rowers or ski ergs, though if my training session needed them I’d focus on the CrossFit or similar facilities. For those interested, they have a handful of kettlebells with the single heaviest being an ~80. Of the various gyms close to where I was staying south of Hollywood, Easton looked to be the easiest to access, probably because it’s a standard gym rather than a more specialized fitness facility (like CrossFit, HIIT, or the variety of personal training spaces nearby). They are on the 2nd floor under the metal sign. A drop-in day pass cost $25. They currently seem to prioritize mask-wearing which is nice. Note that if you plan to change or shower or carry around more than just a small bag you’ll probably want to carry a lock too.
Fantastic experience: Everytime I walk in everyone is super polite and goes above and beyond to help out! I want to give a shoutout to Joe! Highly recommend this gym. I feel right at home.
Fantastic experience: It’s not Equinox but it has everything you need and everyone there is happy. Great experience.
Fantastic experience: great place to workout
Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym environment. Very clean. Has all the typical equipment you would expect. Staff are amazing.
Positive experience: Great experience, Amazing team and the facility is quiet enough to enjoy your gym Time.
Fantastic experience: Great gym with excellent staff and the perfect equipment
Fantastic experience: Quite literally the best kept secret in LA. Reasonably priced, somehow never too busy, ample parking, wonderful staff, all of the equipment you really need, and rooftop space with a gorgeous view. Since day one I've felt comfortable and accepted, without any feelings of judgment or pretentiousness that I've noticed at most other gyms in LA. Easton is a really special place!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym. It has everything I’m looking for. The trainers are all really great and I love the staff. It has a neighborhood vibe to it. The owner of the gym cares about his members and their business. The gyms around my area can feel pretentious to me, but not Easton. At Easton you’re more than just a number. Easton is family!
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff are so friendly and willing to help. I absolutely love working out here because it almost feels like home with how it looks and feels. Highly Recommend.

Positive experience: Solid neighborhood gym! Clean equipment, unpretentious staff and crowd.
Negative experience: Had a bad experience with management. This guy was rude and disrespectful and threatened to throw me out because I was standing next to the window with my mask down trying to catch my breath. I told him I have a condition (underdeveloped sternum) and it makes it hard to breathe through my nose. He said everyone here has a condition and they wear their masks properly. I felt attacked and singled out by this guy. I’ve never felt like that at a gym in my life.
Fantastic experience: Great local gym, love that it has actual windows to keep fresh air circulating. Did witness a sketchy PT that was negging his client (presumably to keep him coming back for more sessions). Lame.
Fantastic experience: Top notch. Always on point. Clean, professional and well managed. Staff are tremendous.
Thanks James! Can't wait to see you again.
Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality
Fantastic experience: I hate giving away a good secret, but I also am a big believer in supporting small business. Easton Gym has a very nice, professional, and amazing staff. Very helpful and they take the time to get to know your name! By the 4th time I checked in to the gym, they knew my name. This gym is the cleanest gym I have ever been to. They never stop. Sanitizing bottles and free towels at check in. Cleaner than Equinox and 24hour without a doubt. The clientele are into fitness, and don’t come off obsessed with themselves or strutting around in obnoxious gym attire. Super chill and authentic vibes in beautifully maintained vintage chic surroundings. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: I have worked out here on and off for 20 years. Recently rejoined. I like the vibe and equipment. It's a real gym. And fairly priced.
Thanks so much Robert! It's great to have you back.
Fantastic experience: Family owned and operated for over twenty years, a neighborhood staple for the community, Easton has the best gym. Not the biggest; it doesn't get that crowded. Nothing is pretentious about it; they're grounded in the idea of a great workout and keeping it clean and helpful. Open super early and closing later than most of the other commercial spots, Easton has been a great fit for my schedule for over a decade. Helpful staff with getting you answers and providing the care of an intimate experience; from the training team to the hospitality and maintenance staff, Easton has your best intentions first. Read the signs for street parking, the lot's always been a squeeze. Plus you might score some shady spots on the nearby streets. Alternative side parking changes from each street, So, Read, the, Signs. Stop by Harvey's Cafe on the street level for a post-routine smoothie or coffee drink...good stuff there!
You're the best Andrew!
Fantastic experience: Great little gym where you can get a serious workout in; hit back there today, plenty of machines and free weights .. not a big club feel, decent for bodybuilders
Fantastic experience: Best gym in Los angels
Positive experience: Local gym
Positive experience: Nice gym with no extra frills. They got what you need and they got enough of it that you can usually get in and do your thing without overcrowding. Couldn't beat the location for me and the fact they offered shorter term options was great for me while I was in town for business.
Fantastic experience: Nice gym
Fantastic experience: 2 Thumbs UP!
Fantastic experience: Nice independent gym with old machine in a brick building setting. Very characteristic. Women changing rooms are always clean and there is also a little sauna. Price really good for LA and the area. They have a membership for 70 $ per month. Sunday is always empty
Fantastic experience: 2 Thumbs UP!
Fantastic experience: Nice gym
Positive experience: anyone looking to sign up for a 3 ppl membership? msg me!
Fantastic experience: I go because it's close to my house and cheaper than class pass. Had a great local vibe.
Fantastic experience: Love my new gym.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. The staff is cool and facilities are great.
Fantastic experience: This local, no fuss gym has everything you need for a solid workout. There are many windows which provides great light and cross ventilation. Everyone is chill and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Expensive, but worth it if you’re looking for a high-quality gym with extremely friendly staff and good equipment. The best gym in the Beverly Grove area by far.
Fantastic experience: I think this is a really unique gym with a low-key vibe. They have a perfect range of well-maintained equipment, and there seems to be a minimal wait for equipment even at peak times. The locker room is clean and has full amenities, but it could be a little larger. It also has an amazing rooftop space for some space to do some bodyweight fitness.
Fantastic experience: Great Energy in this Gym a home away from home
Fantastic experience: Ol'skool amazing gym. Great owners and staff.
Positive experience: Nice but not worth the price. Half of the classes advertised on the website are not offered
Positive experience: Wow, way over priced. Initiation fees and processing fees are just a way for them to get more money out of you. Its bs.
Fantastic experience: A gym for classy gents and ladies. Love the historic and neighborhood-homey vibe.
