Fantastic experience: I am writing to express my high regard for the Greater Beverly YMCA Gymnastics (Recreation) program. My grandchildren have not only developed physically but also thrived mentally in their classes. Instructors Olivia and Heather create a safe and positive environment, which fosters a love for gymnastics in their students. My grandchildren are so inspired that they are eager to practice at home to emulate the "big kids" on the team. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this program to any friend or family member.

Fantastic experience: I’m a recent Y member (6 months) and couldn’t be more pleased with my investment. The Beverly YMCA is a welcoming, clean, active place to enjoy physical exercise among like minded people. The staff is friendly and helpful, the facilities clean and expansive. I’ve never had delays in accessing equipment because the place was too busy. Even during major renovations (pool, community locker room) I never felt inconvenienced. The Beverly YMCA rates five stars from me!

Fantastic experience: The Beverly, why is the state of the art to Silletti one of the cleanest facilities, especially the bathrooms the staff is extremely courteous, extremely helpful, and the people are so nice they’re top shelf equipment it has programs from toddlers all the way up to senior citizens it is an investment that will improve your mental health as well as physical if you don’t have your health, no amount of money can replace that it is a great place to have brief conversations with members there, because you can always learn something from somebody else

Fantastic experience: I love all of the options I have to workout and stay active. The support that the Y offers is amazing. The facilities are great and the work out classes offered are terrific. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. I love that the Y takes such an active role in helping the community in so many way. More than anything it’s so affordable for all that is offered to me. I would recommend to everyone.

Negative experience: Claudia in kids club was very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable to leave my child there. Her customer service was very poor today. After my experience today if she is there in kids club I will not leave my child with her. Shouldn't be working in kids club if you're going to have a bad attitude. There's more I would like to share so hopefully someone reaches out to me.

Fantastic experience: Has a great indoor pool, gymnastics area, childcare, large workout area, cafe where you can get work done, tons of classes to choose from and even a teen center in a separate building. It’s been a great option for us as a family with 3 young children. It does get busy, so I like to work out during non peak hours.

Fantastic experience: I have found the staff very helpful, especially when trying to get my loved one into a preferred class, with success. Gymnastics Instructor, Loralee, is positive, patient and intuitive to the needs of her students. She is attentive, caring and encouraging. It has been a very positive experience and we look forward to continuing on this Gymnastics Journey with the North Shore YMCA!

Negative experience: I applied for an apartment in 2022. The communication with staff is terrible. Countless cancelations and vague emails. Stephanie Lugo was to set an appointment with me and continued to cancel and adjust times. Then she notified me to meet in person 1 hour prior to the new appointment she set. She never gave me ample time respond. There could be a great deal of immaturity in this office. Highly disappointed in Stephanie Lugo and the YMCA. March 5th, 2024 I had an appointment at 11AM with Marissa Burchette and she never showed up. This is the 2nd time it’s happen to me. I can’t believe they get away with it.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are incredibly friendly. There are loads of activities that kids can sign up for. We also consider this location for our kids' birthday parties

Fantastic experience: The Y has been my saving grace. It’s been a home away from home allowing me time for self care. I have loved all the classes I’ve taken (or taught at one point) from Zumba to yoga and all the fabulous strength training classes in between. Each have allowed me to customize my own training at home during inclement weather. I am particularly blessed to have a giving community that has provided me the assistance to continue my health journey while I’ve been out of work as well. I truly love everyone Ive had the pleasure of knowing at the Ys throughout the northshore and metro.

Fantastic experience: The PreK swim program is amazing, the kids are learning vital skills, and having a ton of fun while doing it! Our 4 year old enjoys swim, is engaged and takes risks to continue getting better at swimming. He was learning at another business previously, but his experience had stalled so we decided to change it up, so glad we did!

Fantastic experience: Regarding the kids basketball programs: A super dedicated team, led by the amazing Laura D. She is always on the look out for seeing where and when to "step-in" and help-out - it's not a sink-or-swim mentality. I say this, because you will see that paradigm elsewhere. She is always upbeat and simply knows how to engage and get kids motivated. On top of all that, she is very caring and personable. Her staff is equally as impressive. A big "Very impressed!"

Fantastic experience: The 12 week program Healthy Weight loss is a great program, Jen the nutritionist is very knowledgeable. Jose the workout trainer is patient and knowledgeable. He makes it easier to learn the equipment. Well worth it.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the Beverly Y for just about two years now and could not be happier with my experience there. Before I committed to being a member there, I had a fantastic conversation with their membership director, Ainsley which impressed me immediately. Ainsley is one of the most positive, warm, bubbly, attentive, responsive, caring, and helpful individuals I have ever worked with in customer service. She took the time to answer my many questions (my physical fitness is one of the most important parts of my entire life, so I do not choose gyms lightly!) about the gym's amenities, personal training services, and other offerings. She gave me perhaps one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive by recommending and expeditiously connecting me with my current personal trainer, Alex Gois and for that I am forever grateful. Alex has truly changed my entire life. He has gotten me into the best physical and mental shape yet and got me into competitive running which has become an incredibly rewarding part of my life and fitness journey. His workouts are challenging, varied, comprehensive, and fun!! Every workout is different, but what they all have in common is that they put every part of my body to work and creatively use multiple gym apparatus. He has truly taken me to the next level and makes every workout fly by because he is so pleasant to talk with about literally anything. His warm, flexible, easygoing, kind, caring, and funny demeanor encourage me to continually push myself in a healthy way. He helps me to never underestimate my own strength and has become a good friend of mine who I enjoy hiking and spending time with outside of the YMCA. He treats every client like family and makes everyone feel that getting into amazing shape is possible. He recently earned a promotion to wellness director and it could not be more well-deserved. I am truly blessed that people like Alex exist and I have the good fortune of getting to see him twice a week! Thank you for being who you are, Alex and for your unmatched talent! :) The Beverly Y itself is a tremendous facility. It has a wide variety of equipment that is clean and well-maintained, friendly and warm front desk staff who are more than willing to answer all questions, ample group exercise offerings, good hours, a delicious cafe with myriad healthy food options, and inviting decor including a fish tank, bios of their staff, and various community fliers. The Beverly Y has truly become my second home and I look forward to seeing all the smiling and friendly faces I encounter there every time I go. This gym truly feels like Cheers where everyone knows your name and genuinely cares about how you're doing. I am so grateful every day that this gym and remarkable community exists; my only complaint is that the Y needs more stair masters because they are almost always all in use!! Other than that, keep up the amazing work and thank you to every member of the Y staff for all you do, day in and day out! :)

Fantastic experience: The YMCA is an egalitarian community, offering excellent facilities and programs for people of all ages. Everywhere it is evident that the entire Y team is dedicated to helping people grow from their earliest years into their golden age with healthy habits, consideration for others, positive attitudes, and with a deep and abiding sense of responsibility to self and the community. The Y staff are consistently upbeat and inspiring in their service. The YMCA is a vital leader in every community it serves.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more happy with their early learning center. The curriculum is great. My daughter is always learning new things and bringing home art projects she made. I love they sing songs and read stories.

Ashley Springett is the most wonderful instructor and overall great person! I wish I could take a class from her every day. She not only leads an incredible workout, but I leave her classes feeling HAPPY and ENERGIZED. Her energy and good karma is contagious!!

Fantastic experience: We are enjoying it a lot, The Directors, Teachers, and everyone who works in this place are wonderful and very attentive people. The place is very cozy and familiar, and the programs are rich in activities, which make us quickly see the development of our son. Fantastic experience: My son has done camp here the past 2 summers, and basketball last year and will do it again this year. But the reason for my review is because he started the Hogwarts afterschool enrichment program on Monday, which, he’s wanted to do for a while but the age ranges were always too old. He finally got to sign up this year and it did not disappoint! Out of all of the activities we have done this was by far his favorite! He was so proud of the magic keys he made, and getting answers right in trivia; this is a boy who when I ask about how something was I get “good” in return. But Monday afternoon when I asked I got the full rundown of everything they did, how awesome it was, and asking me when he can go back, upset he has to wait a week. So THANK YOU to the YMCA for an awesome after school program!

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough good things about Katie & the entire gymnastics camp staff. They make our daughter feel so special & happy. This is her 3rd year at the camp, and she will be there every summer until she ages out!

Fantastic experience: Fine facility, well maintained. Many programs for children and adults. Easy access off Rte. 128. Very pleasant staff very willing to assist. Nightcrew incompetent to keep soap containers full at all times. Put 2 dispensers in each stall. Stalls too small...Gloucester will show ideal but prob too big for Bev. space. Get quiet ceiling fans and get rid of jet engines blowing all over sane members that dislike nonsense.

Fantastic experience: Great organization that serves Beverly and our surrounding communities! I regularly use their exercise equipment, lift weights, and play pickleball there. Can't recommend them strongly enough!!!

Fantastic experience: This place is GREAT. There's a ton of classes with wonderful teachers, the pool is huge and super clean and there's a sauna, which is a huge bonus. I also like that there's so many big open windows and you can run looking outside. The energy is always bright and uplifting!

Positive experience: Very nice employees, great facilities, nice Olympic heated pool, fun classes for kids. Downside is of course everything is very pricey, everything costs money on top of membership. Fun basketball and swimming classes for the kids and good coaches (although 90% of them are parent volunteers).

Fantastic experience: Convenience of after-school being on the school premises. Well organized program allowing students to complete their assignments and explore activities while allowing working parents time to get back from work.

Fantastic experience: I go there for my physical therapy on my knee replacement the place is wonderful the staff is extraordinary they're working wonders with my leg getting strong walking much better I would recommend Bay state physical therapy YMCA to anyone that's recovering from any surgery or back problems or if they want to just get strong again they're awesome puts a lot of Hope in the word recovery they're great I'm telling you thank you...

Fantastic experience: The YMCA has been a safe haven for my kids and my self. We love kids club and the gymnastics center as well as swimming even if they keep this pool colder than the other ymca’s!
