Fantastic experience: I’ll start by saying that I’m very active outdoors, I mountain bike, snowboard, and snowmobile with a lil of everything else outdoorsy on the side… I never was a “work out in gym kinda person”. I started with Shift fitness because of a recommendation from a friend. My experience there has been great. Sean is an awesome trainer and he focuses on “functional strength training” that directly correlates with my activities. He has helped me increase my strength, mobility, and balance. This has improved my everyday life and my activities. My recovery time and ability to avoid injury has improved as well. Sean has great play lists to keep you motivated and make it a great experience. I’d highly recommend Shift fitness… it’s the first gym that I don’t dread going to every time!
Fantastic experience: I started going to SHIFT Fitness and working one-on-one with Sean 8 months after a surgery to repair a long standing hip injury. Within a few months, I sped up my recovery, and greatly improved my strength and mobility. SHIFT has helped me get back to mountain biking and surfing, the two things I love to do! I'll continue to workout there to increase all aspects of my fitness.
Fantastic experience: Sean is amazing at what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable about the body and how to build strength safely without sacrificing flexibility. He designs each session based on how my body feels that day yet is still able to challenge me each session. He has an incredible memory about my history of injury which he incorporates into each session. Since I've been working out with Sean I feel stronger and more fit in performing all other athletic pursuits outside the gym. I can not recommend him enough!
Fantastic experience: Over the last couple of years Sean at Shift has helped me meet my fitness goals and his level of expertise in personal training shows every time I workout there. I'm always confident that Sean will push me hard and make sure I perform movements correctly so I don't get injured. I recommend Sean and Shift Fitness to anyone looking to get in shape.
Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Sean and the team at Shift Fitness. I approached Sean about starting up a personal training regiment in October of 2020 and have been working consistently with him since then. It’s long enough where I can give an honest review. When we had our first conversation, Sean took notes, was sensitive to my requests and very clearly took the time to respect my wishes. The workouts have been a reflection of that respect and sensitivity. We work hard. I consistently burn anywhere from 800-1100 calories each workout and have seen dramatic improvement in my functional strength and overall fitness. I couldn’t do more than 2 pull-ups when I started and can do 7-8 clean reps now. That’s a big deal for me. I can run flat out on the treadmill or do a hard assault bike sequence in between heavier lifts and still maintain my breath/composure. It’s a great feeling. Sean is very mindful of structuring workouts based on levels of muscle fatigue and goals. I cannot stand trainers that don’t put in the work to get creative or to try new movements. What’s the point? This is not the case at Shift. I highly recommend Sean for his expertise, thoughtfulness and professionalism.
