Negative experience: I have never been there l live right beside it so I will go and visit it to see how nice it is I heard it’s a very nice place to workout at

Fantastic experience: I take the little boys I watch there for swim lessons. Debbie who is their teacher is really good with them. I don't use any other parts of the facility personally. But it seems that they have a fair amount of people there and the workers I have run into our polite and friendly

Fantastic experience: I always enjoy my aquatics on a daily basis. Start my day. Mental therapy. Love it there.

Negative experience: Gym is decent, basketball court provided isn’t kept up very well and the pool and hot tub are usually pretty dirty looking. They sneak auto renewal for a year in their contracts so make sure you really read the contract they don’t give you a copy of. If you try to cancel it in person, their demeanour shifts and they turn extremely rude. Wouldn’t recommend this gym to any one, not worth the headache.

Fantastic experience: I’m from Vidalia, Georgia here visiting family in Vienna. I am so glad I found out about the Health & Wellness Center! Amazing facility, the staff was very kind and extremely helpful. Very clean and great attention to making sure everything was wiped down! I’m here for a few days and looking forward to using my week pass!

Positive experience: It's okay here, I signed up mainly for the pool which is pretty nice. They have brand new weight machines. I use to play racquetball but the racquets went missing and they wouldn't replace. The facility is clean. The people are nice. Its went downhill a bit since it was Family Fitness center, but it's still a good gym way better than the Y.

Positive experience: It's okay. Usually quiet and never very busy, which is nice. However, it's been two months and I still don't have a gym card.

Fantastic experience: And this is a wonderful place to let swim and do your workouts. Several days a week there's ample room for lots more people than our attending but then of course there are the busy days and the busy times so you have to pick and choose if you need a long time in the pool. 99% of the people I've met at this pool are super friendly cordial sociable and kind. The staff is very helpful courteous and watchful of your needs. Every place in there is extremely clean and tidy as well as very modern and up-to-date. The women's locker room is gorgeous and has a dry sauna as well as handicap showers handicap dressing rooms and plenty of everything including lockers so you will have what you need stored right at the pool in case you would be forgetting something. There are plenty of classes to join there is a swimming instructor there are wonderful weight rooms racquetball gym and exercise rooms for both a serious or a recreational casual workout. Like they say 88% of life is showing up and I guarantee you that if you show up at the health and wellness center Camden Clark or WVU medicine whichever name you want to call it in Parkersburg you WILL find something to do THAT YOU CAN ENJOY and you will benefit from it. The pool is always a consistent 84°, not too hot not too cold JUST RIGHT .. it makes for a pleasant swim or exercise. and the water is kept silky smooth and always clean. BY THE WAY THERE'S A HOT TUB right by the pool WHICH FEELS REALLY GOOD AFTER YOUR POOL WORKOUT....

Fantastic experience: Beautiful clean pool Not ever crowded. Separated Lap lanes n 84° water for lap swim... (11 laps make 1/4 mile etc. ) Gorgeous women's locker room with dry sauna too... Can rent nice locker by year, or free day use .. nice staff n lifeguards... Handicapped accessible showers n dressing rooms, elevators, full range of machines, weight rooms, n trainers. Silver Sneakers facility!!!!! AWESOME !!!!

Negative experience: I went to this gym for around 2 years. At first I had a pretty good experience until I tried to change my plan because I was in a plan combined with my brother. They make your contracts auto renew. You have no chance to cancel without a fee ever. The staff is very rude if you try to change your plan or cancel your membership. I wouldn't recommend going here. You will have constant issues with their scam contracts.

Fantastic experience: I feel this is the best fitness facility in the area. The staff are friendly, and helpful. Most times during the day there is little to no waiting. The Strive equipment is great. All areas of the gym are kept very clean, and the members are great about wiping down equipment with sanitizer after each use. The trainers are experienced and have been very pleasant to work with, and they are always available to answer any questions about using the equipment. From my experience, this is an exceptional gym where you can focus on your personal goals alongside other like-minded people who are focused on theirs. Anyone who has ever felt uncomfortable about going to a public gym, will feel comfortable here. The membership fees are reasonable and we are extremely satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Arthritic Water Aerobics and Regular Water Aerobics is vital for working on pain and working to increase my strength and stamina. I can slowly work in small parts of land based exercises. Joining here was specifically based on having a pool for exercise. Also having aquatic classes was key. The focus of the Health & Wellness Center is just that,...working toward a healthier me. Aquatic classes aren't secondary to school programs or teams, where "open swim" is hit or miss The pool is literally for everyone to enjoy to improve their health. To me, the best selling point of our membership was this very focus. The classes are all great. The instructors are really good motivators paired with numerous types of education. Add to that the variety among the instructors. It's a dream mix of incredible instructors (Love Debbie & Chris's Water Aerobics, John's is a great asset for making a plan of action and resource while working out.) and a great Health & Wellness Center. They literally have everything ,...great tunes, Wi-Fi, basketball court, probably every weight machine, over a dozen new treadmills, lots of ellipticals , stair stepper, newest versions of the stair stepper, bikes, arm bikes, row machines, an entire room dedicated to free weights , a padded exercise room, lots of class rooms, large locker rooms with separate areas for changing rooms, showers , steam room, a good sized pool with attached 3-lap lap lanes, lots of pool exercise equipment and a wonderful hot tub to relax all that work away. Yea,..... It isn't a gym, it's a Health Center!!! So grateful to have it.

Fantastic experience: Just joined & this is a great facility. Great new equipment. Huge pool. Hot tub is very small & the entire pool area needs to be bedecked & they need a much bigger hot tub. Only holds 4 people comfortably at present. Facility is near & clean & well staffed. Fed's are very reasonable.
