Our comment from FitFit United States about PRO Club - Bellevue:
PRO Club - Bellevue is a spacious and well-equipped fitness center that offers a wide range of amenities ideal for families and individuals alike. Many members appreciate the cleanliness of the locker rooms and the high quality of staff service, highlighting the excellent personal trainers and friendly environment.
Top Features:
- Extensive variety of workout equipment and classes.
- Clean and spacious locker rooms, equipped with complimentary toiletries.
- Excellent swimming facilities, though availability may be limited due to classes.
- Family-friendly atmosphere with numerous activities and childcare services.
- Luxurious spa experience, including professional massage and beauty services.
However, recent feedback indicates some concerns following the acquisition by Bay Club. Members have reported price increases and a decline in service quality, particularly regarding cleanliness and staff responsiveness. Some amenities have experienced limitations, and communication from management has occasionally been lacking. Additionally, the implementation of new policies has created confusion for some customers.
Areas for Improvement:
- Enhanced customer service and communication regarding membership changes.
- Increased attention to cleanliness in common areas and locker rooms.
- Better management of pool schedules to accommodate all members.
Even with recent challenges, PRO Club - Bellevue remains a popular choice for those seeking a comprehensive fitness experience.
PRO Club - Bellevue: Opinions

Fantastic experience: Solid gym. Especially worth it if you use amenities and try a free class or two. Locker room cleaner than any other gym I've been to but I'd still never go barefoot
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience, Kunal. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you at PRO again soon!
Negative experience: Going downhill. Has become increasingly expensive, and I suspect much of that increase is being driven by amenities and features that are not being used by a majority of customers. Sadly, cleanliness has declined, things break down more frequently than they should, and policies are in place that seem arbitrary and random at times. I have been a member for over 10 years, and until about two years ago, I would’ve given this club top marks. But sadly, things have changed for the worse.
Hello Doug, Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. I'd love to find some time to discuss your experience. Please contact me at your convenience at [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Clean locker rooms and great staff
Thank you, Kajoli, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO Club the special place it is!
Negative experience: My family joined ProClub a year ago, right before Bay Club took over. During this year, there have been two major price hikes, including paying for membership for our 4 & 6 year old children. The cleanliness of the club has notably declined with Bay Club, the towel bins do not get emptied, the towels do not get replenished in the locker rooms, the towels on machines are soggy wet, and the workout rooms and locker rooms are just gross. They have added a 2.5% charge to use your credit card for any services or membership dues, and also added a 3% fee for salon and spa front desk staff. I have been providing feedback through the app with no response. With the notice that prices are dramatically increasing in January (additional $50 / month for my family), I felt compelled to warn people about the drastic decline in luxury since Bay Club took over.
Kathleen, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that we have not met your expectations. If you feel like our facility is not as clean, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you regarding both the cleanliness and the lack of response through the app. I can be reached at [email protected]
Negative experience: When Bay Club took over the Pro Club earlier this year, I was cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately, their management has been nothing short of disappointing. In less than a year, membership dues have increased twice, yet the quality of the facility has plummeted. The once-pristine club is now consistently dirty, and the availability of clean towels—a basic amenity—has become hit or miss. For an organization that claims to be “investing” in the member experience, the reality on the ground tells a very different story. Bay Club’s justifications for these price hikes—“innovative programming,” “club renovations,” and “adapting to market conditions”—feel hollow when you’re met with dirty facilities and declining service standards. Based on their decision to increase prices multiple times within the same year, I anticipate this will become an ongoing trend, leaving members to pay more and more for less and less. It’s clear that Bay Club prioritizes profits over members, and their lack of attention to basic cleanliness and amenities is unacceptable for a premium club. Unless they take immediate steps to improve, I can’t recommend this facility to anyone looking for a high-quality health club experience.
Hello Matthew, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear that we have not met your expectations. We have renovated our workout spaces, invested in all new equipment on the fitness floor and have pickleball and other amenities coming. If you are feeling like our service standards are declining and facility is not as clean, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss. I can be reached at [email protected].
Negative experience: My family and I were told in JULY that we would be receiving a refund of our membership fee after pro club got bought out and we were on contract with them and I have still have not received anything. I have emailed Spencer multiple times since then and am getting the silent treatment. I have called the pro club as well and still unable to get this done and move on. Very frustrating.
Negative experience: Bay Club will milk this place for all its worth then sell it to the next place. It's crazy how a company that specializes in clubs is able to destroy an atmosphere of a club so fast. This club is now built for private equity profit. At least all other clubs in the area will get new members!
Hello Steve, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your experiences are not what you expected. I would be happy to discuss how we are not meeting your expectations. I can be reached at [email protected].
Fantastic experience: This is a great gym/ spa! Spending a day here is a real treat. They recently got bought out by a big corporation, so they added massage chairs, which was brilliant, but they cut corners with their workers, which I don't agree with. Workers make the location. I think having fewer employees paid better, but having more than one job works better than not letting workers get a raise. I'm writing this post to let them know there are so many better ways to cut corners and make money, for example, putting face masks, quality moisturizers, foot scrubs and other spa items for purchase in a vending machine in the locker rooms would be very profitable. I brought my own from Sephora, but if they had it at the location, I would have spent on that even if it was slightly more expensive. This would make it an even more luxurious spa day, which would add to their revenue. While maintaining moral But overall, the best gym I've been to!
Thank you for taking the time to share your overall experience, {{. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you in the spa soon!
Negative experience: You expect such a sports club would clean floors DAYLY at the gym where people sweating, spitting, walking bare feet, laying on the ground to do stretches, etc. basketball court where kids are playing and eating on the ground and later people playing basketball! Sticky mirrors with fingerprints that are there for months! But no, here they have spot vacuumers who vacuum hear ant there at the gym downstairs and "professional towel folders". No janitors who would MOP WITH DESINFECTING SOAP a GYM FLOOR DSYLY! Bathrooms are also disgusting! I have ben chasing managers, sending pictures, pointing, asking front desk for over a year with zero changes! At this point I did submitted a complaint at the Health Department.
Thank you for your review. I know we have been playing phone tag so looking forward to connecting. All areas have been addressed.
Fantastic experience: Great basketball courts and plenty of space for other classes and activities such as pickleball and badminton.
Thank you, Jalen, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO Club the special place it is!
Negative experience: terrible tennis check-in process and charged members incorrectly with their no-show fees!
Hello Yueqing, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. We do have a check-in process for tennis, and I am happy to discuss where you are experiencing issues. Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]
Negative experience: The club unfairly penalizes customers for mistakes caused by their own tennis check-in system, even when the club has no power. Not cool.
Hello Bo, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. I would like to understand what mistakes were made and how we can rectify for you. Please feel to reach out to me at [email protected].
Negative experience: The equipment settled in during this rennovation (which, was done haphazardouly) feels like it was selected by some executives who want to make their gym look pretty and expensive, and not by people who actually lift or exercise. Here are some of the problems with the new squat racks compared to the previous ones: 1. No longer have 5 or 2.5 lb plates.. go steal them from the bench presses now which are on the other side of the gym. 2. The height is awkward for not just my height but most heights. It is either too high and about to fall off my shoulder or way too low and I have to use a lot of energy squatting it up to derack. 3. The J-Hooks are as wide as the bar so there is a few cm of clearance, they also have a tall hook so it's possible to hit the hook when trying to rack the barbell and either cause you to miss or bounce back against the hook 4. Do not have places to sit your phone, water bottle, etc. on 5. The flooring is slippery 6. The safeties are EXTREMELY heavy and hard to adjust, all of the weight is in the pin which means they want to fall over on themselves. Cool. Oh yeah, the clips also dont fit around the ends of the safeties anymore. I can think of more but you get the point. Sure, I'm complaining about the squat racks, but I can do the same for the new benches. I cannot even fit my bottom on those benches they are so skinny. The quantity sure is nice but the quality leaves much to be desired. They aren't particularly like, awful, but they are indeed a big downgrade. Definitely not something I would pay this gym premium for when cheap gyms provide much better equipment. It would have been wise for them to showcase 1 piece of various equipment options in the gym first and have members vote on what they wanted. They have the money for that, but I'm sure it did not cross their minds at all. This place has been consistently downgrading itself over 4 yrs even before Bay Club and this is my final straw. At least they did it towards the end of the year so I only have to deal with this obnoxious equipment for 2 months until I can cancel my Microsoft benefit. Ciao!
Hello Noah, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. I have forwarded your review to our Fitness Director so he can reach out regarding your comments. [email protected].
Positive experience: 12/1 edit: The floor actually is getting better over time, and someone appears to have gone through and scuffed the gloss off of the new deadlift platforms, so they're largely usable now. Worth a few stars back. I've been lifting in the free weights area here for five years now. Would have been an easy five-star rating up until now, but the recent renovations have been a travesty. Regular operations have been severely disrupted for months on the promise that the free weights area would be new and improved, and now that the renovations are essentially finished, I can say that it's been a large expenditure of time and money for a sharp downgrade in quality. - Most notably, the floor was great before and has been replaced with something far too slippery. I can't bench properly without putting plates on the floor to leg drive against, and squatting heavy now feels unsafe. - Eight perfectly good full racks have been removed and replaced with half racks. On the bright side, there are more of them now. Unfortunately, the squat racks in the side room have pull-up bars between them and you may find yourself squatting with someone doing pull-ups about 1ft from the end of your barbell, and the squat racks in the main room... - Three perfectly adequate deadlift platforms have been replaced with platforms so slippery that I can pivot my feet freely with my shoes flat on the platform. And unfortunately, the dozen or so brand new squat racks in the main room each have one of these platforms underfoot, so squatting is going to be hazardous in one way or another no matter which rack you use. Without exaggeration, we'd be much better off if the new deadlift platforms were simply removed altogether; compared to the platforms, the floor is clearly superior for both deadlifting and squatting. - And for whatever silly reason, they've thrown out a bunch of safety-less benches and replaced them with benches that not only still don't have safeties, but also have fewer hooks available, so your arms had better be within a fairly narrow range of lengths and you'd better get used to wrenching your shoulders when you unrack. When I heard that they were upgrading the equipment, the very first thing I thought of was getting more benches with safeties. Months later, I suppose I'm just grateful that they kept the three original benches that do have safeties (and re-upholstered them, thank you for that). I give the renovations a little credit. The new dumbbells are nice, some of the new machines are nice, and it made sense to take out some of the cardio equipment for more free weights, as we already had three huge rooms dedicated to cardio. Unfortunately, making the three major barbell compounds untenable really defeats the purpose of a free weights area. This is just terrible in both practice and principle. I can't believe actual time and money was spent actively making the gym worse. EDIT: I did reach out to the VP of fitness. The claim is that the floor and deadlift platforms will scuff up and be less slick within a few weeks, and if not, they're going to look into other solutions. I'm skeptical.
Thank you, Jonathan, for taking the time to write a review. I have sent your review to our VP of fitness, and I know that he will welcome the opportunity to discuss with you. He can be reached at [email protected].
Negative experience: Swimming pool is barely usable. Always very crowded with swim team or some other swim event happening every single day. The "adult" pool is crowded as well thanks to deep water pool being unavailable. Locker room itself became much more crowded and towels are in bad shape. It's sad to see how much the quality went down compared to just a year ago.
Hello Anthony, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. We did have open houses in the month of October which may have contributed to more people using the pool. We will review the towels as they were just purchased and are the same that we have had for the last 15 years, so I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Happy to discuss any other concerns you have; you can reach me at [email protected].
Fantastic experience: Shawna in the nail spa gave me the best pedicure as always and her pedicures are lasting and well worth the $ spent. She is also really good at nail art and just an all around kind person and very talented. Thanks Shawna!
Thank you, Miranda for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. Its guests like you that make The Spa & Salon the special place it is!
Fantastic experience: I went to the surgical center on B2 for a knee replacement through OPAortho. You feel like a VIP and I was in and out in five hours! Very clean with less chance for infection instead of a hospital. Check with your doctor if he does surgery there. Not associated with the sports club.
Thanks for your review, Steve. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience at OPAortho.
Fantastic experience: Very nice gym facility. Wish it was cheaper
Thank you, Dhruva, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO the special place it is!
Negative experience: I agree with most of the negative reviews about the decline in the cleanliness, services, and quality of Pro Club, now Bay Club. In addition, the dues continually go up. In fact, they're planning another rate hike in January of 2025. The women's showers, sauna, and hot tub areas are continually full of hair. I've mentioned this to the concierge on several occaisions. Workers collect towels but the clearning is minimal - so different from what it used to be when I first joined the club in the early 2000's, when someone was always cleaning the floors and other surfaces in the locker room. Management: Please don't thank me for my feedback, then ask me to arrange to meet with you one on one about this. This is my feedback. There is a lot of feedback in this forum for you to act upon. With so many people complaining about the same things, it's a big clue. We've already taken our time to provide feedback. Now you can take action, or face a decline in membership.
Hello Karin Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. I’m sorry our service did not meet your expectations; the feedback has been received. We do have a team still cleaning from open to close, and they work hard to keep this facility clean. I see that you don't want to meet or talk one on one, but the offer is open if you would like. [email protected]
Negative experience: Since bay club took over the pro club, it became a horrible place. Don’t recommend
Hello Mengyuan, Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. I'd love to find some time to discuss your experience so I can understand. Please contact me at your convenience at [email protected]
Negative experience: I am so disgusted by this place. I regret signing up with them at the beginning of the year- and I cancelled membership in August. They seem to have become a money-grabbing, filthy establishment now that Bayclub took over. They purposely create extra fees and charges in ways that you won't know what you owe or when you do, e.g. if you do aquatics, and how you are being charged. It's VERY sketch. They told me on the phone (when I could still reach some form of customer service) that I was paid up for my membership but then charged me for a whole extra month! I wasn't there that entire month, but they don't care why- they just want your $. There was no warning or reminder to pay that bill in email. They just took the $ out via our credit card. Okay...But then they added an extra late fee because they said they couldn’t take it out via credit card (which they clearly had done!) The worst part is that I contacted the staff MULTIPLE times to discuss my bill, with multiple promises from the front desk that I would be receiving a call back. Yet still, after WEEKS, they still haven’t returned any of my calls. Because- there is no customer service there anymore. We had to go through credit card dispute because the management simply won’t be bothered to respond. This is what this business has become- poorly run and lacking the customer service or support they had prior. So, people who are considering joining this gym... be forewarned!!! Additionally, I witnessed the gym become - dirty, women’s steam and sauna areas a bit yucky, 1/2 cleaning staff let go, and there is a lot of wear and tear there (carpets, walls, equipment), despite the areas they are choosing to remodel for massage beds and whatnot. It's a lot of gloss with zero substance. Most of us don't care about your massage beds and Bayclub posters. We are looking for access to clean, useable, well-maintained equipment in a spacious facility/ nice atmosphere. Which this place lacks now. And, for this price, we also would want staff to be available and to have some regard for customers. But that is no longer the case. There are a few things here not found at other gyms, like the area the little kids can play (I believe that's still there), a coffee shop, and the sheer amount of treadmills. Just understand that Bayclub upped the fees a ton this year, and provides subpar quality to what they offered prior. When I compare with other gyms in the area, I feel that other gyms that cost way less have better relationships with their members, and offer cleaner more breathable spaces with a much better atmosphere. And after the way they've failed to respond to any of my emails or calls, I've no doubt the customer service is better at literally any other gym. To conclude, Proclub now Bay club is super sketchy, not worth it, and like car salesmen they will take whatever nasty shortcuts they can to make a profit, even at the cost of losing members...they really don't care. And I would definitely never recommend them to anyone.
Hello Ariel, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets the expectations of both our members and guests, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. I can be reached at [email protected] if you would like to discuss.
Negative experience: First pizza i had from them was great! Appropriate size, amount of ingredients etc…. Well today i ordered a pizza of a different variety and they served me this “pizza” that is smaller than a microwave pizza. (Literally half the size of the last one) i thought they mistakenly sold me a “children's size” pizza but according to the kind gentleman who informed me up front apparently if i order a BBQ style pizza it is smaller than the normal pizza. I was not informed before purchasing of this size indifference (it is not even present on the menu that sizes differ) and this pizza costed me 15$ it should be worth my hard earned money that i work for. I am also employed at that facility and I was not sustained by this “snack sized pizza” i will definitely not purchase pizza from this bistro again due to the cost and size… it tastes great! But is not sustainable for the price. In short. PIZZA-GOOD. PRICE/SIZE-BAD.
Thank you Anthony for taking the time to write a review. We value your feedback, and will work with our team to improve this.
Negative experience: If you are planning to use the aquatics center you’re better off using a puddle of rain water on the street! the club closed off the main pools for classes, in the past 2 months making them completely inaccessible to members. Relegating everyone to the smaller pools and creating a literal line of people cramped to a singular pool waiting for turns. The center also has completely turned off the temperature control giving pools a nice iced feeling which I can only imagine is a cost saving measure considering the general decline in service and all of this for the low low price of $220 a month it’s my understanding the club was bought over and that’s why the quality of the club and care towards member have dropped so significantly lately.
Hello: Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. I’m sorry our service did not meet your expectations—this is not indicative of the care and value we continually hope to offer our community. And I appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. I’d love to chat with you one-on-one to address this issue, I can be reached at [email protected].
Positive experience: It's very big. That's for sure. But a lot of stuff in here is dated though clean and relatively well maintained. With the Bay Club acquisition, I'm expecting them to do some amount of renovation...but also to hike the dues which were already pretty darned high. If you get a discount or share a membership... It can be more worth it. Especially if you have kids as they have so many programs year round here. But don't be confused... It's a luxury not a value here.
Hello Michael, Thank you for your feedback! We have many renovations planned! We have opened the Recovery Center, new cardio equipment and opening a re-designed workout space end of October. We expect dedicated Pickleball courts along with outdoor pools and much more! We appreciate your membership and look forward to seeing you in the Club soon. Debbie, [email protected]
Negative experience: The pro club use to be amazing but something has changed. The service, the app, quality, it's just not the same.
Hello Maria, Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. Please contact me at your convenience at [email protected] if you would like to give any other feedback.
Negative experience: This is a review for the spa/cosmetics department. In paper, they offer a “BRIDAL BEAUTY” package but they are severely understaffed/disorganized to make it a reliable service. The salon canceled on my makeup appointment on THE DAY OF my wedding despite it being a “bridal” package and being pre-paid and tried to pretend as if this was no big deal at all to leave someone without options on their wedding day. Thankfully I had some trusted friends and backups to support and work with me but wanted to warn others so they are not put in similar positions. I can’t believe that in a full fledged salon they didn’t have one extra hand to apply a minimal makeup that would have taken them 30mins or max 1hr. I want to clarify that this is not about individuals - I don’t know the exact details but can understand that emergencies happen - but rather for the salon as a whole as they should be equipped to provide suitable replacements if they are offering “bridal” packages.
Hello Suriya, Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your time at the club was anything less than great. Please contact me at your convenience at [email protected] if you would like to discuss your review.
Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for you, Pro Club. Thank you for existing!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience, Dumitru. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you in the club!
Negative experience: Since Bay Club took over ProClub they have been boiling the frog (so to speak). I will sincerely recommend some other place if you expect a club like experience. If you pay attention you can see behind the superficial shifts (new paint on the hallways and glossy images of their clubs on the West coast), their service levels are dropping and hidden charges going up. The pictures below are a regular sight before Sat 10:00 AM All Levels Yoga class. We need to literally balance a new towel after class in a pile that nobody bothers about. I didn’t take pictures of the men’s bathroom (not that they have anyone to help or enforce the policies anymore). Exhausts in showers are rusted and something fuzzy growing on them. Our 1:1 fitness training sessions that costs over a $100 dollars were reduce silently to 50 mins, without informing the members and lay but not the least now we need to pay “service fees” on monthly membership charges to the credit card. Asking members to use a new attendance app, paint on the walls is useless if you are not taking care of the basics. I loved their yoga instructor. After months of deliberation we decided to cancel our family membership. It’s not worth the money we pay them anymore.
Thank you, Gaurav, for taking the time to write a review. We value your feedback and will work with our team to improve this. If you'd like to discuss your review anymore, please reach out at your convenience to [email protected]. Thank you!
Negative experience: It's unfortunate that such an amazing salon requires navigating three flights of stairs from the parking lot. Or requiring you to enter through the main entrance and escorted through the men's locker room to access the only elevator!!!! I understand it's part of a sports club, but you'd expect the salon to have easier handicap access?
Hello Monica: Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets the expectations of both our members and guests, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. I would be happy to discuss your feedback. I can be reached at [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Great gym for families. Tons of great kids, activities and camps. Two hours of childcare daily. Family change rooms, affordable decent food options. Lots of family friendly activities. The gym areas are currently being renovated in general they are in good shape with minimum wait. Management just changed spring 2024 hopefully the family friendly atmosphere and service continues.
Positive experience: I’ve been coming to the Pro Club for years, recently Bay Club bought it and although the new equipment updates are exciting (this should be standard) I am very disappointed in most of the changes they are making. They have stopped complimentary beverages in the spa, they are ending Pro Club’s annual coupons, they are stopping holiday gift card promotions and the cleanliness has noticeably declined over the past several months. They are stripping away everything that is special about being a member at Pro Club.
Negative experience: We joined this gym several years ago and our family really enjoyed all the amenities and activities for kids. At the time, it seemed like a great deal...until Bay Club acquired Pro Club. Since then, our membership increased 46%!!! But none of the amenities got any better. In fact, they started charging a fee for our kids to use the gym (who are 4 and 7 btw). If you are going to charge me for using the kids zone, then I expect this amenity to be available at my convenience. But instead, kid zone is closed for 2 hours during the most convenient time to drop them off. Worst of all, is the new rate, which continues to climb. The gym now charges a high premium, but the atmosphere certainly doesn't feel premium. Most of the staff seem to be in their own world or just act like they don't care. This isn't because they are being pretentious. It's simply that the staff is mostly young teens. TLDR, what the club offers is not worth $500/mo for a family of 4. You are now charged for kids zone, which has limited hours. They gym itself is grossly outdated and the staff is cold.
Hello Pablo: Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. Fantastic experience: I’m a traveler - and have lifetime, equinox, bay club - Best gym in the country hands down. Just Wish they had more locations in central and eastern side the of US
Thank you, Shams, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO Club/Bay Club the special place it is!
Negative experience: I highly appreciate ProClub for their group activities, clean gym, and excellent fitness classes, as they usually meet advertising expectations. However, I was disappointed with the summer camp program for the STEAM and sports age groups (4-6 years). The curriculum provided does not align with what was advertised, featuring minimal STEAM activities and only basic crafts like making paper boat etc. I do not recommend this summer camp, especially since they allow parents to withdraw their kids mid-summer instead of ensuring proper STEAM activities are implemented. I suggest not labeling this program as STEAM for that age group if it won't be followed, as it would help parents make informed decisions during enrollment.
Hello Neeti: Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. I would enjoy the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your feedback. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. I can be reached at [email protected].
Positive experience: This high-end club is worthwhile if your employer subsidizes the cost. The facilities are in good condition. The staff is helpful. The childcare and group classes set Pro Club apart. It can be crowded during peak times like late afternoon on weekdays and weekend mornings, especially power racks for weightlifting.
Thank you, Wilson, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO Club the special place it is!
Fantastic experience: This is a great club for families since they have something for everyone. Swim/sports lessons, room after room of workout equipment, sport courts, cafe and full-service restaurant, health/spa services, car detailing, summer camps, you name it! In a pinch it can even be a remote work space. I don't think any of their offerings are the best in town or the cheapest, but there's value in having it all in one place on one account. They were recently acquired by the Bay Club and have renovation plans (such as an outdoor pool) that I really hope happen!
Thank you, Gordon, for your review! We're so happy to hear that you enjoy the club. It's members like you that make PRO Club the special place it is! And yes, we are planning on outdoor pools! Debbie Bauer
Negative experience: Notice to all MS employees: take the Perks+ and get a different gym. This place isn't worth it anymore. Worked out here for 2 years. Haven't had any issues with the place until Bay Club bought it out. They closed down one of the two weight rooms, without warning. Apparently the trainers weren't even alerted until they attempted to go to the weight room and saw the caution tape. Bay Club is making this place go down the drain.
Hello Nick, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. The weight room is temporarily closed while we do a major renovation to upgrade the space and equipment so we can better serve all our members. I would enjoy the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your feedback. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. I can be reached at [email protected] Debbie Bauer.
Negative experience: Would give 0 stars if I could. I tried getting a membership through my work benefits. Every employee I spoke with gave me the wrong information, and then got mad at me for having the wrong information. Staff is snobby and rude and insufferable to deal with since their membership is “like really expensive” as they put it. Don’t waste your time here.
Hello Jareth, I’m sorry the service you received was anything less than perfect. This is not indicative of the care and value we continually hope to offer our community, and I want to personally apologize for your recent experience. I would love to discuss your feedback further. Please contact me at [email protected] so I can help find an appropriate solution to this issue. Debbie
Fantastic experience: My personal fav better than any lifetime fitness I’ve ever been. They literally have everything that one could ask for. I have organised brunches post my spin class too and they also have a smoothie bar trust me you can’t go wrong with enrolling yourself here!
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience, Karthika. We are so happy that you have enjoyed so many amenities we appreciate you and look forward to seeing you soon.
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a personal trainer, I highly suggest Isaiah P. He is fantastic. He is super knowledgeable, is passionate about training, and works hard for his clients. He is super patient, but knows how to push you to your limits. Great personality.
Hello M M. Thank you for your feedback and recognizing Isaiah. We appreciate your membership and look forward to seeing you in the Club soon.
Negative experience: Bay Club (majority owned by private equity) purchased Pro Club and is doing standard tactics to squeeze it; cutting staff, raising prices, etc. Quality has gone down while prices have gone up. Look elsewhere, it no longer makes sense to be a member here.
Hello Alex, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets the expectations of both our members and guests. I would be happy to discuss your feedback. You can reach me at [email protected]. Debbie
Negative experience: Pro Club charged $3 for using credit cards for membership, the new owner Bay club charges 2.5%. This is a mark of a money grubbing Evil Corporation. I cancelled my membership and suggest other do the same.
Negative experience: I’ve chosen my company’s perks to be a membership in 2024, I love Pilates and I purchased the Pilates 16 sessions package in April for $320+tax which was a good deal. After I used 5 sessions, I found the booking system has changed and I was not able to book classe using my package balance. I went to the front desk and informed the new management Bay club won’t sell package anymore. Ok, that’s fine. But they won’t even let me use my existing package balance which I already paid. They said they will refund me, but hey, I never experienced any merchandise FORCED consumer to RETURN what purchased without they are willing to return. And the refund process went for a month. This process really upset me and I think it totally violating consumers’ right. I won’t choose here next year. NEVER EVER!
Hello Yang, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to offer a level of service that meets your expectations, and I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience at the Club. I would enjoy the opportunity to discuss your feedback. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. I can be reached at [email protected]. Debbie
Negative experience: Great place so far but the price has went up and quality has come down since the Bay Club purchase. There are un communicated policy changes such as the court booking system. Still enjoy the place, but concerned with the direction it is heading.
Thank you, David, for taking the time to write a review. We value your feedback. If you'd like to discuss your review anymore, please reach out at your convenience to [email protected]. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding assistance I received from one of your employees, Trish, at Pro Club Bellevue. Yesterday, I misplaced my AirPods in a white towel that ended up in the laundry room, and I was feeling quite distressed about it. Trish went above and beyond to help me locate them, demonstrating remarkable dedication and responsibility. Her diligent efforts not only helped me retrieve my AirPods but also left a lasting impression on me about the quality of service provided at Pro Club. It is employees like Trish who make a significant difference in customer experience and enhance the reputation of the facility. In light of her exemplary service, I strongly believe that Trish deserves recognition. Whether it be through a raise or a promotion, acknowledging her hard work and commitment would not only reward her but also inspire other employees to strive for similar excellence. Thank you, Trish, for your outstanding support!
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you in the club soon!
Negative experience: Used to be a great place but now becoming worse and worse especially with tennis courts. The club has been trying to impose many insane rules that does not make sense at all. Recommend not joining now before the nonsense is fixed.
Thank you, Joe, for taking the time to write a review. We value your feedback and will work with our team to improve this. If you'd like to discuss your review anymore, please reach out at your convenience to [email protected]. Thank you!
Negative experience: extremely prejudice and antiquarian establishment. not sure what happened with the Bay Club takeover, these Gestapic policies can’t persist.
Negative experience: BayClub didn't waste time and started ruining good place. Jacked up prices by 20%+ without adding absolutely anything. Reduced cleaning crews so now locker rooms and tennis courts are nasty. Forced everyone to a new garbage app. Charging additional 2.5% for using credit cards?!? If you’re looking to sign up, don’t.
Negative experience: They now require an annoying app to be able to enter. Used to be a keychain with a barcode on it. And the new terms require you to sign a binding arbitration agreement. Neither of these are customer friendly moves.
Negative experience: Since the BayClub has purchased the pro club we’ve had nothing but issues. Now we have to play for any of the classes that were free. To top it off our monthly rate increased over $100 a month. Seems like they are trying to make it more exclusive by charging for everything while cutting down the time offered. For a family of 6 we are now paying over $480 a month and that’s without tennis and all the other additional charges they have created. While all that is frustrating it’s within their rights. What concerns me the most is I am on contract with pro club at a set rate. Now bayclub is attempting to break that contract so they can charge us more while we still have multiple months left on our contract. This to me seems very illegal. Also it’s just really bad business practice.
Negative experience: what is going on? It has been a fantastic year, but today I arrived for my child's weekly classes and the receptionist *rudely* informed me that I could not check in without an app as if it was obvious to the world. I was unaware of this policy change, as I had not received any prior notice. I kindly requested an exception and was able to check in. However, the app is not user-friendly. It frequently fails to load, requiring multiple attempts to force quit and reload. It appears that the app is poorly designed and not optimized. It loads slowly and is inconvenient to use. Apparently, the app and a smartphone are now mandatory for check-in. While I understand the need for digital solutions, I find it inconvenient to carry my phone during my fitness visits. It seems that the club's policy may prevent entry without the app, which includes the time-consuming process of loading a QR code.. that like ticketmaster is apparently timed! Lol what?. If the staff's attitude remains impolite, our family may reconsider our membership at Pro Club. We have enjoyed the past year, but we cannot tolerate unnecessary inconveniences and rudeness.
Negative experience: I have been a member of ProClub for years, but my experience has drastically declined since it was bought by BayClub. Here’s a rundown of the issues I’ve faced: Increased Rates: In June, the membership rates were increased without any noticeable improvements in facilities or services. This hike feels completely unjustified. Terrible Court Reservation System: The new court reservation policy is a nightmare. Two people can only book for one hour, and you need to provide four names to book a court for doubles. Additionally, you can only make one reservation 72 hours in advance. This makes it impossible for us to play a flex match. Is it even possible to play a proper match within an hour? The current system is incredibly inconvenient. Lack of Communication: The new reservation rules were implemented without any prior communication to members. This sudden change has caused a lot of confusion and frustration among regular users. Dirty Courts: The condition of the courts has deteriorated significantly. They are often dirty and poorly maintained, which is unacceptable for the rates we are paying. Terrible BayClub App: The new BayClub app is terrible, with all kinds of errors. The rules in the app don’t even align with their official guidelines, adding to the confusion and frustration. Overall, the changes implemented by BayClub have made what used to be an excellent club into a frustrating and disappointing experience. I sincerely hope they address these issues soon, but until then, I cannot recommend ProClub under its current management. worst club ever!!!!!!! Please don't join this new proclub. what a nightmare, frustrating, confusing.
Negative experience: Update: 6/13:: singles can be played up to 90 minutes and ball machine up to an hour. What’s been difficult is being able to play with different variety of people because of the new 4 names to a court rule. You get stuck having to play in the same rotation with same people. I suspect they may change this rule too but I already am leaving. Cost changes weren’t worth staying. Courts are still dirty for $400 a month fees. ….., Okay, now that this club got bought, don’t sign up., particularly for tennis. They fired their night shift crew after raising my rates for June, (which I only was a member a few months), and guess what. You might as well be thinking the hard courts were moving to fuzzy ball fuzz courts, they have been so aweful. Then, they updated our court times. You only get to use the ball machine for 30 minutes.. used to be 45. You used to be able to play singles for 75 minutes, now it’s an hour. Put your name on other tennis court lists cause this place went downhill fast.. I’ve already put my name on a new club. Thanks Pro club for selling out and cheapening the experience while raising our fees with this new buy out. Oh, the hair in the showers is indeed gross.
Fantastic experience: 9/10/24 update Burger and tandoori chicken were great, as well as service. We appreciate the club could conveniently provide quality food service with reasonable price. I want to give a praise to their restaurant particularly. You would think the cafe inside a health club would be both expensive and not authentic. However, the full service of the proclub restaurant not only brings healthy convenience also decent service and gourmet entries. Both my husband and I enjoyed dining here after workouts.
Fantastic experience: Came here with my wife to get a couples massage and the service was amazing. One of the best spa places in the area.
Positive experience: I am not a member here, so just commenting on my spa experience. This place is a little pricey; however, I know I will get an exceptional massage here. I took off 1 star because I feel like the facials are dependent on the person, sometimes the esthetician go with their go-to products that they are comfortable with versus what is best for me.
Negative experience: I am very very disappointed with my recent experience at Pro Club. I have been a loyal member for over a year --- love the spacious cardio room and swimming pools, but I feel like the security and cleanliness of the locker room are not up to the standards. A few months ago, I had my jacket stolen from the hangers in women's locker room. I reported it to the staff, but they did not seem to care ... Also emails to the manager never got a response. Today, I lost my slippers: I left them under the bench, and when I came back after my workout, they were gone. This is unacceptable and frustrating. I do not feel safe or comfortable leaving my belongings in the locker room. I understand that leaving personal items unlocked is risky. But then why do you offer these hangers? I was so stressful when taking the shower today, worrying about my sneakers under the bench. I don't want to walk back to my car in bare foot. :( I don't understand how this could happen in a $$$ gym.
Negative experience: Time for an updated review. They upgraded the downstairs workout area. It's more open and cleaner looking. Locker rooms are the same. The hot tubs in the locker room need a good cleaning. Since my last review they have increased their prices per person and are now charging for kids 0-9 at $30 a month per kid. Before you would just need to pay for your spouse and the kids were free. In order to cancel you have to write into the gym and you can't leave until the end of the year. Again my stance stays the same. Overpriced for what you get. If cold brew was free then maybe I would change my mind. Also they give you one guest free entry but you have to go through a tour of the place and it's not tied to your account but a piece of paper. So if you lose it youre sol.
Negative experience: While the gym itself is great, the gym nickel and dimes for everything, their billing and pricing is very obscure, and there are some cleanliness issues which need to be addressed (particularly in the family locker rooms, which probably get the most use out of any of the spaces). Regarding billing issues pricing, it is difficult to know what things cost, and to get answers or escalate issues to gym management. For example, group swim lessons fees are not listed anywhere on their website, and are very inconsistent (the change for each session). And with private lessons it gets even more shady; I was looking to verify pricing for private swim lessons that I had taken, and was given 3 different prices for 1/2 hour lessons with my instructor, from the front desk, concierge desk, and swim office (none of these matched what I actually was charged on my credit card). If you decide to be a member of this gym you will certainly enjoy the gym itself but be very vigilant of your credit card charges, because they will overcharge you every chance they get.
Positive experience: The camps are awesome! The pool is big and the lifeguards are amazing! The only thing I don’t like is lots of hair in the locker rooms and a lot of people poop in the pools.
Fantastic experience: Great Place for sure but Hope has indoor golf facility. This is obviously top-notch facility but wonder why not planning to have golf related activities. I see quite number of racket ball courts which are not used that much but it will be great opportunity for golf indoor lesson, practice, indoor league and best part will be golf physio with personal trainers. Hope this message deliver to management for future consideration.
Negative experience: Cancelling my membership after 8 years of struggling to deal with the lack of hygiene and cleanliness; towels all over the floor; sweaty men walking directly into the whirlpool from the steam sauna; and the place taken over by kids running around. I’m tired of these people treating this place like their own living room yelling and talking at a high volume, totally disregard for anyone else. Lastly, the staff refuse to do anything about it.
Fantastic experience: I took some swimming lessons with Carol and SHE WAS AMAZING! I was a very beginner level swimmer when I started and in just 2 classes I could go to the deep water pool confidently. Carol went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable in water and confident in my swimming skills. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a swimming instructor.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to compliment Carol. She will be thrilled to receive your exceptional review. We think Carol is awesome too!
Fantastic experience: Very well maintained equipment, friendly staff, and great amenities.
Thank you for your 5-star rating! We're thrilled you're enjoying your membership at PRO!
Negative experience: Adding on Yuan Tian (4 months ago)… My wife joined in January ‘23 as MSFT benefit, so I joined too taking advantage of a very good discount ($120/month instead of $200/month). All well for a couple of months, then my working situation changed having to travel more intensively, not being able to join this gym on regular basis. I knew the subscription is for 1 year, but I hoped in some flexibility. I called asking to speak with the membership office, someone told me to send an email, which I did, receiving an automated answer saying that “due to the number of emails received, answers might be delayed”. I never received any answer to my 1st and subsequent emails, not easy to call if I am traveling a lot. $120/month has been charged regularly to my credit card, I called yesterday (after last $120 charge) asking how to be sure my subscription doesn’t get automatically renewed next year, I have been told if the main subscriber (my wife) will not renew (SHE WON’T!), I will not be renewed too. Despite the associate at membership office was kind, it always looks they have something better to do than listen to their clients. ProClub pretends to be the most fancy gym east of lake Washington for rich people earning 6+ figures (to be seen just going in & out or maybe just hanging around, plenty of those in the lobby…), but it’s just a total scam (unfortunately 0 * is not possible…)
Hi Michele, We're sorry that you and your wife weren't completely satisfied with your membership experience and that you didn't have as much time to enjoy the facilities. We do understand the frustrations with the limited flexibility of corporate sponsored memberships, but the limitations are regulated by your employer and not PRO. We do try our best to explain this upon joining. Our members are our priority and we're sorry that we didn't live up to your expectation. It is our goal to provide a 5-star experience for everyone and add value with our complimentary group fitness classes, free family and community events, free childcare, expansive spaces, an abundance of the latest equipment and activities.
Negative experience: Pros: Clean and spacious gyms and pools. Spa, gym, med spa, physiotherapy all in one. Cons: Not so clean locker rooms. Customer service and general curiousness of staff is lacking in almost all areas. I’m used to most places making everything as easy and seamless as possible. So I was quite surprised that a place within the premium price range wouldn’t be willing to take a few extra steps to keep members content. The Bellevue Club is just a little bit more costly but the service was much better so if money isn’t an issue, I would def recommend it over PRO. Just came back to this location after a 3 month break to restart my membership and was told they didn’t have crew from membership so I couldn’t start my membership and the crew is only here during regular business hours not the gyms hours which sucks considering I go to the gym after work. I tried asking if they have any other options i.e. email, phone, etc. but was told there are no other options. I was in talks with a rep today and they never mentioned that I couldn’t sign up after 6. It’s just another example of how they will not try to meet members at a middle ground. I did the executive locker room upgrade for a few months so I was paying about $430 a month. The executive locker rooms are kept clean which is great but that should be the standard in the regular locker rooms. They have nice infrared lounge chairs, good hair products, and plush towels. But at the end of the day, not worth paying over $400 total per month.
Hi Yeliz, Thank you for your feedback regarding your membership and for recognizing pros along with your cons. Our standard membership hours are: Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm and Friday - Sunday 9am-6pm. They may also be reached by e-mail at [email protected]. I have confirmed with our membership manager that he has been in contact with your regarding your membership. Please let us know if there is anything we might be able to assist you with. I have also sent your comments to our Front Desk and Membership teams so that they be aware of opportunities for improvement. Our apologies for not exceeding your expectations. Thank you for returning to PRO. We're happy to have you back!
Fantastic experience: This place has everything you could ever want or need in a fitness facility. Free weights, nautilus, more cardio equipment choices than you can imagine, tennis, Pilates, squash….I could go on. I love the Pilates instructors. This is my go to place for physical therapy. Relaxing place to get my eyebrows waxed - critical given the circumstances. The service is excellent. The place is clean. Worth the price.
Hi Jen! Thank you for your 5-star rating and taking the time to share all the things you enjoy at PRO. We're thrilled you're loving your membership.
Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by their friendly staff, it's clear that this is a gym that truly cares about its members. The equipment is top-notch and always well-maintained and the floors are always clean.
Hi Sandra, Thank you for your membership at PRO and for taking the time to recognize our friendly staff, equipment and cleanliness. Your kind words is what keeps us motivated to perform at our best.
Negative experience: The arrangement of private swimming classes are awful. I have been charged 4 private classes that I never booked.
Hi Jane, we agree that our reservation system for lessons is challenging and we're working hard on improving our systems with improved technology that we're hopeful to launch in the near future. We'd be happy to refund you for your lessons that you didn't take. You may contact our Senior Director, Debbie Bauer, directly at [email protected] and she will make things right for you. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the awful customer service and lack of professionalism at Pro Club. Despite paying over $200 a month, I have been treated terribly. First, the staff conducting my InBody assessment violated my privacy by viewing my results without consent. This complete disregard for my rights is unacceptable. Additionally, I was shamed for using the InBody machine twice per month, even though I was initially told unlimited use was allowed. The staff rudely complained about printing costs, though I pay high membership fees. The staff member even rudely assumed I wouldn't actually make a change and would keep printing results, which is false. The concierge staff are frequently impolite and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment in advance for the following week, but it was booked for a different day without notice. When I pointed this out, the staff implied I was wrong instead of taking accountability for the mix-up. While they eventually provided a complimentary $25 Pro Club gift card, it did not make up for the time and energy I had to expend defending myself and arguing for basic respect and accountability. The gift card was a nice gesture but did not resolve the larger issues with customer service and professionalism that remain unaddressed. I should not have had to fight just to get fair treatment as a paying member. Given the steep prices, I expect far better service. Pro Club has failed to provide a respectful, thoughtful experience. I would not recommend this gym to anyone seeking an inclusive, welcoming fitness center. There are much better options that will treat you with basic decency.
Hi there, I've looked into your situation and shared your comments with all that were involved in order to improve the experience in the future. Our sincerest apologies that you didn't receive the exceptional service that we strive to provide and it certainly was not anyone's intention to make you feel uncomfortable. I do have a few insights that may be helpful to understand. The initial In-Body composition is designed for those new to the club, new to personal training, or looking to set fitness and health goals. This complimentary session does involve interpreting your results by a fitness expert to help individuals set goals and understand the results. Therefore, they do look at the results. Please know that all data is HIPPA protected. As far as frequency, I have confirmed that you may have an In-Body test as often as you wish, but it was recommended that for convenience and tracking, using the app over printing is a more efficient way to receive the results and you may better view your progress over time with the app features. Using the app also is more effective for storing your personal data over the long term. The logic behind completing this less frequent is that the science of the body doesn't significantly change enough in two weeks to impact the results of the test. In-Body recommends testing every 6-8 weeks. We commend you for taking an active role in your health.
Fantastic experience: I’d recommend Kari for any/all facial aesthetic needs. She has a gentle touch, she knows her products, and which ones will work best for your features and desired results. She’s an excellent communicator and she really delivers solid results because she hears what I really need to convey. She’s constantly staying fresh and learning new techniques, and products, to give her clients the very best possible outcome. I’ve had 17 years of work done - and Kari is by FAR, the best, and most talented provider I’ve ever worked with!! 10/10 all the way around! Autumn
Hi Autumn, Thank you for taking the time to recognize Kari's talents. She will be thrilled to receive the compliments. We think she's amazing too.
Negative experience: The worst membership experience and severe RACISM & BULLYING from staff to customers 1. I booked complimentary training sessions with the gym and provided all my contact information for confirmation. However, I didn't receive any form of communication (phone call, message, email) confirming this booking. And when I reached out the front desk he directly smirked and did not response my question at all. I have to initiate my booking though phone calls again. 2. After I purchase a training package, the front desk provide misleading information about my personal training package's compatibility with different trainers, leading to me being charged more that $200 with a trainer my package apparently doesn't cover. Despite raising those issue, I faced challenges getting any refund for wrongly charged sessions. And through the following email, my personal trainer exhibited bullying behavior by using coercive and intimidating tone to demand that I commit to purchasing further sessions, otherwise I would not receive my training plan. And the conversation took an uncomfortable turn when she informed me, in no certain terms, that there would be no chance for a refund. 3. I tried to reach out their manager for those issues but get 0 responses
Hi Xinyu, Our apologies for the late reply to your review. Please note that we have a zero tolerance policy for racism or harassment and all complaints are reviewed thoroughly and taken seriously. We're so sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations. I have sent your review comments to our Fitness Center manager and have reviewed your correspondence with our staff, which included the fitness manager, member accounts, and your personal trainer. Our records indicate that you requested a refund on August 14th and the refund was processed on the same day and you also received a refund for a swim class on 8/22. It also appears that your trainer did send you your workout plan after corresponding with our fitness manager. If there's something more that we missed, please let us know via e-mail at [email protected]. and we will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. I can see from the correspondence how the free sessions and charged sessions may have been confusing. We offer all new members two complimentary sessions, which are a "Get Started" session, which is more of a goal setting/equipment orientation and the second is a program design where the trainer provides a basic workout plan for you to do on your own. It appears from your comments that our front desk could have been better in explaining the free sessions and the introductory package that you purchased. We have sent your feedback to all of our teams so that may be aware of where there are opportunities for improvement. Again, we apologize that your experience did not live up to your standards. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns.
Fantastic experience: I love this place, I use the pools and am never disappointed, be late at night or middle of the day. Water is at perfect temperature. The area is nice and bright, and no excessive chlorine smell, always a plus. The lockers are huge and very well kept. There are 3 whirlpools inside the locker room. I think it would be great if there could be 3 different temperatures as I don't like it when it's too hot. The whirlpool area is also very comfortable with lounge chairs. The "kids" pool is warmer than the lap pool, so fun to do some laps in there (late at night, when no kids around) Staff is super nice. The bistro seems to have great options. I haven't done the classes yet, so can't talk about that.
Hi Catherine, Your kind words keeps us motivated to do our best! Thank you for taking time to review your experience and provide praise for our teams. We're thrilled that you are enjoying your membership and many of the amenities at PRO Club. We hope you get to try a class soon! If you need assistance or have questions about which class might fit your interests best, please reach out to one of our personal concierges through the membership team by e-mail at [email protected]. See you at the club!
Negative experience: Racism from staff to customers. When the behavior of the raciest employee was discussed to him directly he laughed and smirked saying “I’m sorry you feel that way”. Absolutely disrespectful apology, just to say that he at least said it even though he obviously didn’t mean it with a smile on his face. Management didn’t take complaints seriously and only sought to repair their reputation and not investigate the incident. They said he is one of their best employees ever, yet when I asked them how long he worked the I was told less than a year. I’ve asked them to check the recoding of the incident at it happened at the front desk, but either they didn’t or they did and will make up some other kind of excuse. Not the kind of place I want to spend time with my family and money on if some of the staff think it’s okay to treat people that way. I will say though that the person that showed us around was super friendly and nice, I greatly appreciated her kindness and understanding.
Hi Breanna, Our front desk team sincerely did not mean to offend you during your visit to PRO Club and made attempts to apologize. This is a very unfortunate misunderstanding and we have provided additional coaching to the teams in order to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. PRO Club has a zero tolerance policy for any forms of discrimination by our employees, vendors, members, and guests. Your experience was thoroughly reviewed with our security team, witnesses, and those involved as well as a review of the security footage. We would be happy to have you review the security footage with our security advisor and Front Desk manager to further understand where we offended you and how we could do better. If you would like to get in contact with them, please e-mail us at [email protected]. We would love to be able to offer you another opportunity to visit PRO Club and experience everything we offer.
Negative experience: There are some employees who are hostile to international couple.(or hate a white female with a Asian ) and the supervisor allows them to do it. When we were about to sing up ,the front guy aggressively slammed the towel in front of us and glared at my wife and me. I escalated the supervisor, who is from the same racial background, did not take our concerns seriously even worse with the horrible employee, the supervisor smirked at us in the end. It is so sad that other employee, who are Caucasian and Asian are super kind and professional) and we were very excited about singing up.
Thank you for your feedback. We're so sorry that you experienced an uncomfortable experience and misunderstanding with our Front Desk team. We have reviewed your experience with all that were involved to better understand what we could have done better. Please note, the towels are heavy and you visited at a busy time so the placing of the towels could have mistakenly come across as aggressive, but was not intended too. The gentleman you interacted with is one of our most loved employees by our members and he sincerely apologized personally to you while you were here. We are very proud of the diversity of our employees and members and strive to create a warm and welcoming experience for all. We hope that you will give us another chance to show you how PRO Club is a wonderful place to be. - Linda
Negative experience: I’m pregnant and would like to cancel membership, I called them in March regarding this and they say ok. But in April I call again and they say a formal email is needed, cancellation cannot be done over the phone. I sent the email twice and got zero response, checking my bill and I see I was billed for April, May, June. Apparently they have not canceled it, after 3 months, it’s scam.
Thank you for your membership and we're sorry to see you go. Our apologies for your cancelation process frustration. We do require written notice so that we are able to have record of the request versus a verbal request. I reached out to our membership sales manager and have confirmed that your cancelation will be processed on June 30th and you will be refunded for your May and June membership dues. Spencer, our membership manager is personally reaching out to you today. - Linda
Negative experience: For some reason, the front desk always talks with an attitude and never smiles. Maybe it’s a generation thing or maybe something else
Hi HS, thank you for letting us know about your experience at the Front Desk. We expect all of our members and guests to be greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. I have shared your comment with our Front Desk manager and senior leadership so that they may review with the team. - Linda
Negative experience: Why do the majority of the TVs here play fox news 24/7? Not thrilled about transphobia and homophobia being played out in front of me on the treadmill. Today I got to listen to why doctors should be able to deny women treatment for being female. Makes you wonder where the business owner priorities lie.
Hi Tau, thank you for your feedback. In the past, we have reviewed the idea of removing the news from the TV stations and changed the channels for one week as well as polled our members on whether they wanted it or not. There was an overwhelming amount of members who do like to get their news while they work out and therefore we've kept it in place. I did go look at the TV's in the fitness center and there is a balance of stations that includes general broadcast, ESPN, and news stations. The selection of TV stations is based solely on member's preference not the owners. We also have upgraded many of our cardio equipment machines that have their own TV's so that you may select what you personally choose to watch.
Fantastic experience: Victor is the Best of The Best!! If you are looking for a membership at a top rated health club, I strongly urge you to see Victor in new member sales! Polite, Professional, and he is always happy to help with a Friendly Smile and Great Attitude!!! He is the main reason my Family joined as members! Victor, You're The Man!!!!
Welcome to PRO! Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge Victor. We're so happy you had a great experience. We'll share these kind words with him. We think he's pretty awesome too! - Linda
Negative experience: If you’re a solo father with a young daughter who needs to shower and change before/after her swim lessons, the men’s family restroom is NOT accommodating at all. Very disappointing. I have to reduce this to 1 star. The situation is even worse now.
I understand how this is challenging. I'm not sure what age your daughter is, but if she's able to use the female family locker room on her own, it's right next door to the men's locker room. The family locker rooms are co-ed for parents with their child under 9. I do understand, there's an age where that may be uncomfortable for some. We do have a private locker room (which is fee based) and another smaller co-ed family locker room for parents with opposite gender children age 6-8 in the Aquatic Center that is another option that many people don't know about. The alternate locker room is available with a code that may be obtained at the front desk concierge upon request. - Linda
Negative experience: Love the place but the latest upgrades to the Fitness center were disappointing. They got rid of dozens of good machines and replaced them with a TRX frame that barely gets used.
Hi Jose, I'm glad you love PRO! The recent transition of fitness equipment was to remove the older equipment that was in need of expensive repairs and was also under utilized to warrant the cost of the repairs. We also felt from observations that the strength equipment in the south fitness center could absorb the usage that we typically saw in the north fitness center (side equipment removed from) and lastly the busiest area upstairs is our stretch area so the TRX can be used for stretching. Plus, we opened up a significant area of open floor space for stretching, etc. We are working on offering an exercise guide for the TRX equipment so that members can learn how to use this equipment as it is an excellent total body strengthening workout. - Linda
Negative experience: They have become very commercial for the swimming pool and just want to mint mint money with keeping pools just for classes and not much time window for free swimming. I Have scheduled swimming private class six months in advance and they kept on canceling multiple times with out notifying and when questioned about the issue the aquatic manager shows full altitude and racial discrimination with her body language and rude attitude and when escalated about the behavior of the aquatic manager to the management of PRO-Club they terminate my membership for questioning as they don’t want to accept the fact that the manager treated me with racial discrimination and rude behavior. Due to they having the authority to cancel my membership they went ahead and we common people have no way to fight for ourself when people with authority treat us in this way
It's unfortunate that your experience wasn't to your satisfaction and we weren't able to address your concerns without sacrificing the safety of the swimmers in the pool by removing the lifeguard/manager to speak with you at the time of your concerns. PRO prides itself on it's diverse community of members and we also do not tolerate abusive behavior toward our employees or guests.
Fantastic experience: I've been a member for over 10 years. The amenities like the plenty of workout equipment, swimming pool, sauna (with supposed health benefits), pleasant staff, etc. helps make me want to go to the gym. It's not cheap, but I figure it's cheaper than a double bypass if I didn't go to the gym.
Thank you for your 5-star review! We're so happy we're making you want to come here and that we can be your partner in health! Keep up the good work! - Linda
Negative experience: Overnight, HALF of all of the machines were permanently removed on the 3rd floor for one TRX machine, so they can sell TRX classes. The gym is fine, and the decorating they do is fun. But honestly, it is not "high end" equipment. There are only 3 deadlift platforms in the entire gym, and they work, but I've used better. The squat racks are missing a lot of paint, they're relatively cheap, and they are on a slope. Because the floor is not level and instead just paved to the curve of the hill the building is on, racking the weight back up is harder than deracking it as you're no longer at the same height. There is a lot of equipment, but the stuff at my old university was a lot higher quality. Also, good luck walking into this place and trying to not get hit by a car, because there is no safe walking space for pedestrians to get in ...
Thank you for your feedback and we've shared it with our fitness team. TRX classes are included with membership so the equipment was not put there to sell classes. We removed machines in a state of disrepair which the lack of usage of those machines didn't warrant the costly expense for repairs. The TRX system in the free weight room gets a lot of use so we've offered more of what our members use and also offers more variety for stretching and strength training. By removing the equipment, we also opened a lot more stretching area which is often crowded. Our free weight room is in an area that was previously indoor tennis courts (flat) and if there are minor variations, we can’t perceive them and haven't heard from others that it affects racking or reaching a squat bar. etc. Chips in the paint/powder coat happen over time, but our team works hard to keep equipment very clean and functional.
Negative experience: Their swimming instructors will move out every now and then, leaving you in a fix. The club advisors and membership managers just say “sorry” and put you on a waitlist even after paying hefty club membership & swimming fees. They only give you a facility with poor customer experience.
Hi Happy, we'd love to have more swim instructors and are actively recruiting for instructors. Unfortunately, this is an area that is experiencing regional staffing shortages and we are doing everything we can to offer the most competitive wages and benefits to attract quality instructors. It is always our goal to offer and exceptional 5-star experience. We will share your comments with our teams. - Linda
Negative experience: The gym is okay. Lockers are okay. Swimming pools are okay. I cancelled my membership over a month ago and they still charge me. I guess once you're in, you can't leave. You have to make a big fuss to get your +$200/month membership cancelled.
I researched your membership cancellation and our records show that you contacted us on 12/22 and your cancelation was posted on 1/23 with our 30-day cancelation policy, which is clearly stated upon joining and in our membership agreement. A special adjustment was made for you to cancel your membership on 12/31 (two weeks) and your January dues were refunded. It is always our goal to provide an exceptional experience for the members and guests of PRO Club and it appears that we made this right for you. Thank you for your previous membership and we hope you found the perfect gym for your needs.
Fantastic experience: Everything is very tidy and well maintained there. I am constantly seeing staff come around and replace towels on the machines with new ones, even if they aren't dirty. The equiptment is all very "state of the art" and the staff seems friendly. They even have complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in all the showers. I definitely like coming here.
Fantastic experience: Great facility. New machines, extensive rooms full of different lighting and ammenities for however you like to work out. The classes are great. All the teachers are very qualified. Additionally I can say I really have seen their 20/20 program work for some. Its mostly full of Microsoft employees as its way too expensive for most people. They have everything from a Spa, to a auto detailing shop,a bistro, cafe, and even child care. The locker rooms are phenomenal.
Negative experience: There is at least 20 machines that their heart rate monitor does not work. Paying so much and this type of things happening is crazy to me.
Thank you for your feedback. We have inquired with both our Seattle and Bellevue locations about your concern. Our Seattle GM has inspected all the equipment and is reporting no issues. Our Bellevue Fitness Director has informed us that the technology on the equipment is not broken but can be unreliable as it works better with some people and others not so much. PRO invests in the latest equipment and has a full-time engineer on staff to repair and maintain equipment so that everything is in working order. Unfortunately, the heart rate technology is a feature that is built into the equipment and is a common challenge across all gyms and equipment brands. The manufacturer of the equipment is unable to provide support for this aspect of the equipment. However, the function of the machines for exercise works perfectly. If monitoring your heart rate is a priority for you, your best and most reliable method is to invest in a heart rate monitor that you wear. Many of our classes integrate with My Zone and these devices are sold in our PRO Shop. In good health, Emily
Fantastic experience: This is the biggest gym here in eastside with almost all possible exercise equipments on earth, with professional training and guidance on fitness, sports, injury recovery and healthy lifestyle. They orgnaize leagues on multiple Sports such as Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Soccer, Squash, Swimming, CrossFit. They also provide casual and fine Dining, Kid care, Spa, Salon, Massage and 20/20 lifestyle. It has recently renovated its facilities, bigger and more advanced.
Negative experience: Nice gym overall, unless you actually want to use the swimming pool. There’s 4 pools, 2 of which are dedicated to children. One is dedicated to adults, while the other pool (which is deeper) is dedicated to kids swimming classes a majority of the time, to the point where you’re unlikely to ever actually use it during normal hours. So effectively, as an adult, you can only use 1 of 4 pools, which isn’t deep, and is often so busy, that there are sometimes 3 or 4 people per swim lane. As a paying member, this is a huge fail, especially when you realize that kids classes are given priority and everyone else suffers. Huge thumbs down for Pro Club until they fix this.
We'd love to be able to offer more pools, but we're very pleased that we're the only facility in the area to offer four indoor pools. We continually strive to offer the best pool experience to accommodate all of our members. To our knowledge, PRO Club is the only facility in the area to offer the only pool that is 100% dedicated to adults 100% of the time along with our other three pools for multiple uses. The adult lap 25 yard pool is 4 feet deep featuring five lanes that some times has up to three people in a lane and most often only one or is even empty. I just viewed the lap pool at 4 p.m. and there is only one swimmer. The deep water pool is only used for swim team after school and on Saturday mornings. Most days, the deep water pool is fairly empty and is available for lap swimming. Our multi-purpose pool is open to anyone and is not used for lessons. The only designated child-only pool is our lesson pool. - Linda
Fantastic experience: Would recommend the visiting the auto salon.
Fantastic experience: After touring most options, this is the best gym in the Seattle area. It’s got everything, it’s open late, facilities are very clean, it’s huge, and there are a lot of other benefits, like the spa services & great parking. Post pandemic, every other gym I considered just didn’t offer the equipment, hours, and cleanliness.
Thank you for the five-star review! We hope you're still enjoying everything at PRO and have chosen us as your partner in health.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Alexis if you’re getting a massage service. Her approach incorporates traditional Indian, Chinese and Native American knowledge with modern techniques. She’s very keen on understanding your specific needs and customizing her service accordingly. Also her working hours cover late afternoon, evenings, and weekends, making it much more convenient for busy people.
Thank you taking the time to post a positive recommendation of Alexis. We'll share your wonderful comments with her. We think she's amazing too!
Fantastic experience: Best gym ever! Love how professional the staff is and all the equipments are well maintained. Spacious workout spaces and big pools
Thank you for your 5-star review and for recognizing our exceptional staff. We're thrilled you're enjoying your membership!
Fantastic experience: Pretty much everyone in the gym knows who I am on some level. The gym has good equipment and a friendly staff. Come work out with us!
Negative experience: No refund for a cancelation due to Covid-19 related reasons. Even though it's still half week before the camp starts. I know the policy is 'more than one week ahead'. I am just saying PRO Club's covid-19 related policies seem to be worse than some other camps. And by the way, they deleted my review, which was similar to this one on their Facebook page.
Hi Gen, I know this was a long time ago, but I just checked our COVID cancellation policy and our camp director stated that our first option is to offer an alternate date and if that's not an option, we do refund the camp fee. I'm not able to find your membership to verify that your situation was resolved and I'm not aware of your review being removed from Facebook. If there's anything you need assistance with, please reach out. It's always our goal to offer our members and exceptional experience.
Positive experience: Nice place to workout. You can find almost anythong here. But little pricy and the facility kind old
Nice picture on the 1989 Final Four court! Hope you're enjoying some good hoops at PRO. We're always working on continual updates, but COVID membership losses cut into our budget so we're working through out list. Thanks for the nice review. - Linda
Fantastic experience: Tl;Dr Kenneth is a superb help desk consultant. Gym includes many amenities, nudity in locker rooms are optional and many exercise that option. As far as club style gyms go this one has about everything. What you pay is what you get. Most people that go here get a subsidized gym membership from their workplace. The locker rooms are always sanitized and kept clean. Nudity is optional in the locker rooms and most older folk do walk around nude. Showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Sinks are stocked with shaving cream, generic mouthwash, deodorant, lotion, and hairspray. Gym includes weight room, cardio room, Pilates, yoga room. Athletics includes: tennis, basketball, squash, and pool. Overall there is a lot to do here and staff is really nice. Especially Kenneth, he always makes sure my friends and I are served properly and respects all of our requests.
Fantastic experience: The vibes and friendliness at this gym is everything. Best gym I’ve worked out at in a long time. I look forward to working out here during my vacations!!
