Fantastic experience: I love bobs. It’s a local gym with a TON of equipment for everyone, and somehow they’re currently adding new equipment every two weeks. I appreciate the staff for making it fun! Always looking forward to see what the Bob’s team is doing next

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the metro - great staff

Negative experience: Lock you in with a non flexible contract. Will try to continuously take money out of your account at random times. Membership cost too high. Paying for name brand gym and atmosphere, and a lot of equipment you're more than likely not going to use. But they have what you need and you'll for sure pay for it.

Fantastic experience: This is an exceptional gym. Has anything and everything you could possibly want. Great machines. Awesome quality. Clean. Maybe a bit overwhelming but in a positive way. Was only there on a day pass, so I didn't even come close to trying everything out. Great overall experience.

Negative experience: Costs way too much and will try and bring you to court if you can’t afford to keep going

Positive experience: Bobs has an expansive array of equipment and amenities, and this all comes at a pretty hefty price and entangling contract (65 per month, a one year commitment, and fees for ending membership). Unfortunately, the gym’s popularity makes it’s difficult to find a good time to go, but the 24 hour access alleviates this somewhat. So the gyms big enough to fit anyone’s needs but you might feel you’re paying for a lot of bells and whistles you don’t really need.

Fantastic experience: Joined Bob’s about 4 months ago. Endless equipment, never get bored or feel like you couldn’t complete a solid workout. Love it, will be a long term member.

Negative experience: I checked in middle 2020. For covid reasons. I was living midtown omaha. Roughly 12 minutes drive. In 2021 I switched to a weekend pass because I moved to Elkhorn. 170th and maple. 30+ minutes one way. Without traffic. Which is outside of your scope. Contractually, I'm outside of your " distance". I come to write this review as I got a collections hit for 255 on my account today. Granted, this is on a weekend pass that I haven't used in over a year. I simply tried to keep active to support. Even when I don't use you guys. While I'm telling gym bros you are the best in the metro... you guys are sending people to collections who think your one location is difficult. At this point, iron heaven is likely the easiest option. My guess is, if you were more reasonable, flexible and understanding... you would keep your loyal crew that has supported you for years. My guess is, with iron heaven expanding... you guys will fight to keep busy, and likely send more people to collections who can't workout in your gym.. but at one point, wish they still could. Paying this for you guys today. Man, I really hope I didn't unconvince the group.

Fantastic experience: Laura is the best trainer ever. Great conversation and an excellent workout. If you need someone who will push you to new limits, I can’t recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I've been regularly using Bob's Fitness Complex for about a year now, and the staff is amazing! The personal trainer, Laura, is fantastic! Her training programs are tailored to fit your goals. I have been working through her personal training and show prep programs. She has been crucial helping me get ready for my first bodybuilding competition after recovering from some health problems. The facility itself is extremely versatile and there seems to be a machine for everything! They are always adding new machines and equipment. Looking forward to the expansion!

Negative experience: The owner and the staff don’t go above and beyond for their customers. They are money hungry and only care about a subscription. I have multiple friends complaining about this place so I had to go in for myself to really see how bad this place really is. Equipment is dirty, staff was unprofessional and from looking at the reviews it seems like the owner bob can’t seem to take responsibility for his faults due to the fact he tries to respond snarky comments back to every bad review. Thanks for the response. I figured you’d have something back to say regarding to you not taking accountability for you’re terrible service.

Negative experience: Negative stars. Staff is rude. Equipment is dirty and in constant state of disrepair. Lot of equipment but terrible overall. Worst gym I've ever been to. Since there seems to be a terrible response from the management, I am editing this review. I made multiple clear communications to end my membership to this gym. Then months after having CLEARLY ENDED my membership they called me at work while I was with an appointment and decided to tell me that I had an outstanding bill. This phone call happened months after I had CLOSED my account. For the management to post such an unprofessional response is beyond belief. As to the original response to my review. There are frayed cables on the machines and benches that are unlevel through out the complex. There are giant piles of dust under the equipment because they never clean. The bathrooms are in constant disarray. The staff make jokes about the members of the gym while thinking they are out of earshot. The whole place is a joke. They think that because they get members out of default proximity that they are better than other locations. It is in a rundown mall that has leaks through the roof all the time. Water on the floor in every room. General lack of decorum. I left the thievery out of my review but since they brought up that they are unable to accept that people no longer want to use their facility, let's talk about how when I called to pay my not really outstanding bill because they won't listen to cancellation requests, they hung up on me. They prey on members. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Been going here since 2021 with little knowledge of lifting. SO many friendly gym members here are willing to share information or have a good work out together. Very grateful for this gym and has amazing equipment.

Fantastic experience: I have struggled to keep consistent with an exercise routine for many years. One of my friends suggested to try Bob’s and see how I liked it. Best decision I ever made. I setup a training session with Laura, and she is amazing. She got me started in ways that I have never trained before, and doing it safely. I'm hitting PRs I never intended on hitting. Unfortunately I travel every week for work. So I spend a lot of time in other fitness centers. Again NONE of them are close to Bobs when it comes to the equipment. I'm going to end this review by saying that if you struggle from motivation, the people that use this fitness center will keep you coming back. From the professional level on down. EVERYOne is serious about their workouts and are killing it. It's hard to not be motivated. And the staff is great.

Fantastic experience: I would give this gym 1000 stars if I could. I have been with Bob’s for the past 3+ years now. When I am there working out, Bob’s just feels like another home to me. The staff, atmosphere, and members are all absolutely wonderful. I REALLY appreciate Bob’s when I travel and go to other gyms… none can even compare. You will 100% not regret getting a membership here. I would travel far to come here, there is no other gym like it. Also, the trainer that they have at the gym, Laura, has helped me completely change my body and learn how to work out properly. I would also recommend sessions with her if you are newer or even if you are trying to amp up your physique. ☺️ Bobs is a clean facility, with more equipment then you will find anywhere. It is also kept up very well. Nothing is rusty or sticks when you are moving weight on the machines.

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable staff and very helpful. The members are always there for the same purpose and nobody is above anyone else. They have kettlebells, dynomax balls, med balls, every possible type of weight lifting machine, etc. I never get bored. Love this gym and it's worth the drive from Lincoln 4 days a week.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Powerhouse for about four years now and truely love the place! Its is the only gym I have walked into and absolutely felt like it was a good thing to be there! The staff is WONDERFUL! Every single one of them know just about every member's name and if they don't they make it a point to get to know them! I seriously can't think of another place that does this....oh wait there isn't. Just goes to show you they have a one of a kind customer service! As far as the cancellation procedure, EVERYTHING is written out for you on the contract when you first sign up, including the fact that they want a certified letter with 30days notice. Everyone knows that you don't sign up for things if you don't either agree with what your signing or have not read what your signing! It just irritates me when people don't want to follow the rules they agreeded to so they want to give great places like Powerhouse a bad name! I have never had a problem and when I have had an issue with something they always get to it! Now back to great customer service, what other gym can you say that sends you $5 for your birthday, a thinking of you card or a christmas present to every single member!! Yeah no kidding EVERY MEMBER!!! Also the daycare has wonderful kind staff, a camera in the room and the TV in the cardio area so I can check on the kids without walking back to the room! Personal training staff is also very kind and experienced! My trainer was a professional boxer and a very very very good trainer! And lastly I totally agree with the fact that they have excellent equipment! No it is not up to date, but not everyone can get tax payer money or is being bought out by big daddy companies! They gym is very nicely set up and the cardio area isnt starring down the free weights or aerobic room. You feel like each area is in it's own room! The free weight room,WOW, is what comes to mind when you first walk into it! Very huge and lots of variety. If you love lifting the heavy weights or you love to powerlift this free weight room is your dream come true! Did I mention they have hand chalk!!!!! The equipment is not dirty, everytime I am in the gym some one is always wiping the equipment down so thats b.s!!! On another note, Omg you have to try their protein shakes! Very yummy! Not to mention they have a great selection of supplements and if they don't have something you are interested in trying, they try very hard to bring it in for you! So to sum up Powerhouse gym, it is a GREAT place to work out at! I know my family and I will not go anywhere else so long as this place is open!!!! Oh before i forget.....the classes are awesome! Lots of zumba classes with great instructors and fun cycling classes! Just to name a couple! I REALLY REALLY REALLY recomment this place to EVERYONE!

Fantastic experience: As a former employee, and someone who has been around gyms for a long time, I can tell you that I have NEVER been part of a better experience or Fitness facility than Bobs. I have never been a part of a gym where an owner takes more pride in doing the right thing for his members. I gladly drive there even on days off as Bob's provides the complete experience for a person of any fitness level. Every member is treated like part of the family. From the staff to the cleanliness to making sure that all questions and concerns are answered promptly everything is done with the utmost professionalism. If you are like me and prefer to give your hard earned money to something good and reputable you can do no better than Bobs Fitness Center. I have never met a better gym owner or business owner.

Fantastic experience: I went to Bob's because it came highly recommended by a couple of co-workers and being away from base to work out sounded appealing. Aaron was super helpful and nice and signing up was easy and simple. I've enjoyed the power lifting area and overall amount of equipment that is at BFC. A couple of days after signing up my wife and I received a hand written letter from the staff which showed me that they truly go above and beyond for their clients.

Fantastic experience: I'd have to say that so far I've been to 5 different gyms and BOBS is definitelythe best!! They not only have great equipment and a great facility but their personnel is GREAT!! they enjoy what they do and all work with a great amount of INTEGRITY! I personally know one young woman there who does an OUTSTANDING job! Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, amazing staff, they do their best and try to accomodate and make happy a very diverse clientele. You cannot please everyone all of the time, but they do their best and are more than willing to listen and work with clientele on situational scale. They have put a lot of time and money into this gym, new equipment, flooring, programs. One personal trainer in particular is who keeps me coming back, Ms. Carol is one of the best I have ever worked with. She cares about her clients and their overall health and it truly shows. Kudos to all of "Bobs" people ...and bah humbug to those of you who are not at least willing to work with them on your differences!

Fantastic experience: The gym is amazing. It has everything one needs to advance a competitive athletic career, train for any career that requires physical ability, or just stay fit for life. Platforms, jammers, tires, machines for every muscle, etc. You want to power lift, go for it. You want to olympic lift, go for it. You want to lose weight, get strong, or get big, well go for it. The staff is always friendly and helpful and so are the members. Best part about it, there's multiple areas and machines to use. So if someone is using something, don't worry, there's another spot around the corner.

Negative experience: Decent gym, lots of equipment, even if it hasn't been replaced since the 90s. Place smells like dirty dudes. There are much less expensive and cleaner facilities in the area. After almost 5 years here and trying to cancel, was told I need to pay a $50 cancellation fee and send a letter via certified mail (on my dime), even though I had ID ready and card on file ready. Extremely shady business practices. The only saving grace they have is the friendly staff.

Negative experience: Bobs fitness is a scam do not sign up for anything they will collect everything owed and attempt to ruin ur credit in process even in the face of unexpected life changes with no concern but to collect every last dime owed do not sign anything or even consider them there are other options less money scheme than this establishment

Fantastic experience: So after over a year here I had to move and cancel. It really wasnt that bad to cancel. I just went to the post office and mailed my paper and they just prorated the annual fee and charged me my last month. No issues. This gym was hands down the best gym ever. Soo sad I had to leave!!! Thanks bob!! 10000% recommend this place.

Positive experience: I’ve been to lots of gyms across the country and this by far is the most well equipped of them all. For powerlifters and bodybuilders, this place is a dream. The only reason for 4 stars is because of issues I had with my membership -just be sure you read exactly what you’re signing up for regardless of what you’re told- but this gym is incredible.

Fantastic experience: BOB’s Fitness Center is a MUST visit! The gym has a variety of equipment & machines to ensure you hit what you need to each workout. The staff are extremely helpful & accommodating in every interaction. The members show great respect & facilitate a friendly environment everyday. I can’t say enough about this outstanding gym!

Fantastic experience: Bob’s Fitness Complex I’ve been to dozens of gyms over the years and BFC is undoubtedly the best gym I’ve ever been to. (This includes the likes of iconic spots such as Gold’s Venice). Staff: I visited town with my girlfriend and both of us have a program called Silver Sneakers that gives us access to gyms across the country, including BFC. The staff didn’t really know exactly what it was, but acknowledged BFC was included and Christina and another guy got us sorted out quickly. On Saturday, Edgar was super friendly and helpful at the amazing smoothie bar. Retail: They have everything you may want from supps, to apparel, to workout gear. On top of that, a smoothie bar serving up incredible smoothies at a great price ($7-8 for a big one with a lot of fresh fruit and 50g protein). Restrooms: I can’t speak for the women’s but the Men’s was newly renovated (as of this writing in MAR 2022), nice and clean, and had solid showers and toilets. Equipment: I can’t believe the variety of equipment. ALL of the best brands in the business. Arsenal, Hammer, Pendulum, Westside Barbell… they have it all. And not just one of each, sometimes multiple of these insanely complex/expensive pieces of equipment. We spent way more time in there training, simply because we wanted to try some of this dope equipment. They also have the full variety of cardio equipment, a cardio cinema (dark movie room), a boxing studio, abs room, legs/butt room… I could go on and on! Overall: Whether you’re a strongman, bodybuilder, crossfitter, power lifter, or just someone wanting to stay healthy or get in shape, BFC has the perfect setup for you. The only downside is that there’s not one of these in every city in the country. Do yourself a favor and go here ASAP!

Second of all the place is massive so no matter what time you go, you won't be waiting for any machinery or benches. Third, you get a free 7 day pass to check it out. Fantastic experience: I am in loooove with this gym! Such a friendly atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and has an amazinf attitude. I appreciated that welcoming atmosphere when coming in for the first time today to get a membership. Everything was explained in clear detail and Suzie even demonstrated some of the equipment when I was curious due to most of the equipment being so new to me. And the amount of options you have to workout with..I really appreciate you guys and this facility thankyouuuu can't wait to workout and get these gains!!!

Fantastic experience: I was a member of Bob's. They helped me lose 90 lbs. No one fat shamed me. Even the power lifters. We are all there for the same reason. Get and / or stay healthy. My life went south for a few years. Now I'm ready to restart my membership. This time I'm looking to drop 130lbs! I am confident that they can help me again. Tim Dixson.

Fantastic experience: You could probably use a different type of machine every day for a year. They have every variation of everything! Even the dumbbells are in .5 pound increments. The staff is super nice, Laura is a world class fitness guru YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

Fantastic experience: I had to leave this gym because I’m currently living about an hour away from the area. There had been an issue with my membership at time of cancellation but Carol helped me with some fees that were on my account. I’ll definitely be returning to this gym once I move back to Bellevue. Great communication and very willing to help!

Negative experience: Be aware of what you are getting yourself into. This gym is way too overpriced and when you try to leave after the year contract, it is a hassle to cancel. Be very aware of their tactics to get more money when there are other gyms that offer the same or better things but for less money. And don’t have a legally binding contract. It’s practically a legal scam. Employees are great though! Policy needs revising. And that is on the owner.

Negative experience: Bob was very unprofessional with a FB message he sent me accusing me of trying to pull something over on him, he never let me explain what happened he didn't even read my message back to him.

Fantastic experience: Had a very good experience! There are a variety of machines/free weights! Friendly staff that answered all my questions! 100% recommend!

Positive experience: Great gym, nice staff, and top notch equipment. I was a member for years, left when I moved out of Omaha then joined again when I moved back. However, I don't understand why they make it so hard to leave the gym/close an account. I have to send them a certified mail first. Really!? You should review this procedure. Your customers shouldn't feel trapped in their plan especially for your military members moving every so often.

Fantastic experience: I've been a going to the gym since highschool wrestling and have been to probably a dozen gyms over as many years. Bob's is, to put it simply, the best gym I've been to, and by an honestly comical margin. They don't have a pool, so if that is a deal breaker for you than sorry about that. That having been said, Bob's has curated the single most impressive collection of equipment for literally hundreds if not thousands of miles in any direction and the people here are all super cool, staff included. The only thing that I would change, and I'm digging deep to think of something, is a PR Board. For a gym that caters so well to the enthusiast crowd, having a chalk board to show the gym records for men and women for a given weight class would be very motivating and is the only thing I can think of to improve.

Fantastic experience: Very positive atmosphere when I work out. Every staff I encounter is very nice and helpful if I need anything and my son truly enjoys having fun with the staff in the daycare room, very nice ladies. Absolutely amazing gym overall. Joel is an amazing personal trainer and exceeds to make sure I reach my goals. Was very informative when we did our one session and always been a great friend/employee.

Fantastic experience: Been going to several gyms throughout the years however no gym has ever come close to the way Bobs does it. I’ve had other people from different gyms invite me out but none of them feel like BOB’s

Fantastic experience: Bob’s fitness is an amazing gym. Very clean and organized. It has a great selection of cardio equipment and free weights. They smoothie bar is a get addition to have in the gym!

Fantastic experience: READ EDIT BELOW (Lengthy cancellation policy) This is one of the few gyms where you actually get your money worth! They are constantly improving the gym through their comment cards. I've seen it multiple times where they have move equipment around and added NEW requested items because of those comment cards. Always adding new equipment and expanding. This gym has EVERYTHING you need(except for a pool haha). EDITED: After being a member for 6+ years and canceling my membership due to the fact I moved, they made the cancellation process entirely too difficult. They have you show up in-person to answer questions that can be answered in a simple phone call, then have you mail in a cancellation notice, then bill you for the month after your notice. It's obvious that this process is drug out just to get more money out of you. Even if it's explained to you upon joining (I'm not going to think much of that upon joining), this is a process that should be simplified. I'm all about the process and building character, but management, please fix this for future customers. This isn't an area that should be made frustrating. Newest Edit (20 Feb 2024): I was notified that they have updated their cancellation policy to electronic/in-person! You can see above for the cancellatiln policy I had to go through, but seems like a painless process now!

Fantastic experience: Out of all the gym memberships I’ve had. Bobs fitness is the best gym. It has all the equipmennt you would need to reach your goals. And the atmosphere is super friendly, and encouraging. I highly recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Love coming to this gym. I always get the best workouts. They have everything here and there is no limit to what you can do during your workout. You can tell Bob puts everything into this gym. I really love the new leg room and butt room. BEST GYM EVER!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I joined Genesis recently AS WELL because I moved to Central O and could not drive to Bellevue as often as I wish. I’ll never give up my membership here even if I can only go once or twice a week. Staff and facility is great compared to everywhere else and I’ve learned so much about real dedication from the guys and gals I see there all the time. If you are feeling beat down go to Bob’s and get lifted up by the best workout you can find or walk around and get inspired by words on the wall everyone should have been taught growing up. The world is a better place because of this gym.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many gyms in my life having moved around a lot in the military. And this gym is hands down the best. First off the staff is always incredibly friendly. They keep the place very clean for a gym. They have a juice bar that sells all kinds of stuff including single portion supplements. And the actual gym part will blow your mind. They have an incredible amount of amazing stuff in this place. Things you didn’t even know existed like benches that have built in dumbbell holders so you don’t wreck your shoulders getting the heavy ones into position to do your sets. Just do yourself a favor and try it. Yeah it isn’t the cheapest gym, but you won’t be able to get a more quality workout in anywhere in the Midwest with how good and diverse the equipment is here.
