Negative experience: The new gym hours are horrible especially the weekend hours for basic members. I work weekends 6am-3pm so I’ll never be able to go on the weekends because I have to go when it’s “staffed”. They should have grandfathered in their previous members no matter their membership status so we could use the gym 24/7 or at least extended the hours. I had gone in today & there was another couple who showed up too & were super upset that they weren’t going to be able to workout together & they also weren’t aware of the new entry procedure & hours. We didn’t even get an email or heads up about this. Definitely will be cancelling & not recommending this gym to friends & family anymore. Hope this gets fixed for future members.
Fantastic experience: Great staff, never too busy, always clean and plenty of variety to fit your needs.
Negative experience: Had premium plus membership for more than 2 years and I wanted to downgrade to premium membership because I dont use it that much.Staff said I have to cancel it and enroll to premium membership which require me to pay enroll fee and mind you I still had 2 weeks paid membership on premius plus. I asked why do i have to pay and i am a member already and why I cant get my money back on paid premius plus membership.Staff lady was rude and asked me to use the facility untill 2 weeks of paid premium membership is done.
Negative experience: I would like to start off my saying I am never one to leave nasty reviews or reviews at all. But I felt it was needed in this particular case. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. NEVER I repeat NEVER sign up for the membership here if you ever plan on canceling it. I walked in today trying to cancel my gym membership sense I haven't used it for the past 5 months. I am paying for nothing at this point and thought it would be an easy process today just go in and sign something. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. I proceed to go up to the counter and tell the lady I would like to cancel my membership. She tells me her manager needs to be here for that. I then ask when her manager will be in, a completely normal question to ask so I can come back when she is in to get it canceled (even though I have wasted an hour of my day driving there and being told I can't do it). She then tells me she doesn't know and that their schedule changes. EXCUSE ME!?!? I know when my manager is in at my job. So, then PLEASE explain to me how I can cancel my membership then? Do I just keep wasting my time coming in day in and day out trying to get there at the exact moment the manager is in. She then tells me I can mail it if I go to a UPS store or a Post Office. Oh yay! More time wasted when I am standing in the gym at the counter and this could be easy solved by IDK, SIGNING A PAPER. I AM FURIOUS! This is absolutely ridiculous, I get what they are doing. You want to talk me out of my membership that I signed up for, so the manager has to be there to do that?!?! Unbelievable unless I was lied to and the manager really was there. I also have to request that the UPS or Post Office has them sign for the mail in letter when it is brought to the store. Does the manager need to be there for that too?? If so then my gym membership might not ever get canceled because who knows when the manager is in, OH RIGHT APPARENTLY NO ONE DOES. This should be an easy process! Why are you making it difficult for me just to simpling cancel a membership I have had for over a year now. I am fed up with this place. NEVER GO HERE!!
Negative experience: We canceled at the Bellevue location where we joined as per the contract. Our card continued to be charged. The manager Faith is never there. The call I finally received back from her she was rude, and she seemed to be upset with me for asking her to make a call to her manager. I wanted my credit card removed from their system , and the credits for the unauthorized charges. Faith stated the card can't be removed and it's up to corporate for the refunds. Unbelievable! I wish I had researched more before joining. There are many complaints with the BBB, and on their own reviews of problems when cancelling. We are military and went back to base gym now that it's cooler. I had to dispute the charges on my credit card and my credit card company reversed the charges, and I had to cancel that card to stop further unauthorized charges.
Negative experience: Have a membership no one has contacted me back about training I’ve called multiple times. You would think they would jump at the opportunity someone willing to pay outside the membership price for a trainer. Guess I’ll contact Genesis.

Negative experience: BEWARE!!! I called to cancel my membership and was told I had to come into the gym, I could not cancel over the phone. I then drove an hour to cancel the membership as I moved to the other side of town and was told at the gym there was not a manager in to cancel it for me. RIDICULOUS. The management at Blue Moon in Bellevue is very disappointing and does not give two craps about customers, or customers moving and wanting to cancel.

Negative experience: Horrible compared to the blue moon off 84th and center (which I would rate as a 5 star) . Night staff wouldn't give me the wifi password, when the one on center lets its guests who pay good money use their wifi. Ridiculous. If you're going to use a blue moon go to Center

Fantastic experience: The staff are always so friendly and really make you feel like family. The gym is always clean and the equipment is in good condition. It is never really busy so there are small to almost no wait time for equipment. I love the women’s only area! The cardio cinema is so unique and a great way to get your cardio in and not get bored. I also feel like the music is not as loud as some people say. Whenever I wear headphones I can’t hear there music. Love this gym highly recommende!
Negative experience: Didn’t show up at 5am when they were suppose to open. 7 people outside waiting for someone to show up. They all left cause whoever was suppose to show up this morning didn’t. Not a good look for bluemoon. People have different schedules like me. I only had 40 mins to workout. I had to turn around and drive back home. Today is 05.29.2024 I hope management does something about this cause a lot of the folks I was standing by mentioned that this is a regular occurrence! Shame on the management.

Negative experience: Terrible management, the managers don’t know what they are talking about. Managers do not know how to run the system. They straight up REFUSE to cancel memberships. Older managers flirting with minor looking staff…? Very unsettling. Very run down and EXTREMELY unprofessional. Do not go to the blue moon bellevue location. You’re better off paying less than half the price down the street at planet fitness. Might I add the music choices are awful and always too loud.

Negative experience: I was going to join this gym but just doing so was a hassle. I tried signing up online and it kept giving me an error when trying to sign and submit so I tried calling and they just kept answering and hanging up the phone so that tells me all I need to know about this Gym. Try Planet Fitness in Bellevue if you're looking for a gym. Much better.
Positive experience: Love the facility an machines. But the music is WAAAAAY too loud, cant hear my headphones or hear anyone talk. Probally get hearing loss if you come here too often.
Negative experience: I was a member with them since 2016, just recently canceled my membership due to moving. They need to update the equipment. They also need to add more benches and squat racks. They have raised their prices, it use to be $10 a month. Also adding a sauna to every location would be nice!!! I heard that they closed the Bluemoon in Lincoln(wondering what happened?)
Jacob, I am sorry that you were not happy. You were a member since 2016, and you downgraded your membership to the $10 option. We now have a similar membership for $1.99 per week. As for the equipment, we are targeting a certain member and chose to not have a lot of benches and squat racks. We have more than some clubs and less than others. Every location does have a sauna. We have Cocoon Wellness Pods that provide and Advanced Sauna Experience The Cocoon Wellness Pod offers an advanced sauna experience, combining traditional sauna benefits with modern technology. This state-of-the-art pod is designed to envelop the user in a soothing environment, enhancing relaxation and detoxification. The sauna feature in the Cocoon Wellness Pod utilizes infrared heat, which penetrates deeply into the body, promoting efficient and effective sweating. This deep heating helps in muscle relaxation and aids in the relief of aches and pains. Moreover, the Cocoon Wellness Pod's temperature control allows for a customizable sauna experience, suitable for different user preferences and tolerances. The pod's design ensures even distribution of heat, ensuring the whole body benefits from the sauna session. Additionally, this pod often includes features like aromatherapy and mood lighting, further enhancing the relaxation and detoxification process. This combination of heat therapy and additional features makes the Cocoon Wellness Pod a versatile tool for wellness, suitable for both relaxation and therapeutic purposes. But that would not be available on the your $10 a month membership. I did close the Lincoln Blue Moon Fitness location. I was the 4th owner of that club and it was not profitable over the 36 years it was open. Covid hit all businesses pretty hard and I made the decision to stop underwriting that location with the other locations so that we could focus more on the Omaha clubs. 1 out of every 4 health clubs in the United States closed due to the impact of the Covid lockdown, and I personally know some great operators who lost their ability to serve their community due to the stress that put on their operations. Nobody could predict or prepare for how the pandemic affected their life or livelihood. Our 108 & Q location is the longest-operating tax-paying health club in Omaha, having been serving the community since 1983. I hope you find a club that better suits your wants and that you continue your exercise program. Getting started at 18 is a great decision, and I hope you can keep exercising as a lifelong habit. I also started at 18 and at 66, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions my 18-year-old self made. For every hour that you exercise, you add 6 hours to your life. That is like buying a $20 bill for less than $3.50. We know that now, but back then, there was no information available about the benefits of exercise.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with this place. We have gone several months to cancel the membership and everything we do changes the story. My family has been struggling financially and they keep taking more money than a monthly payment. Due to a lack of consideration, we have had problems with the bank. I do not recommend this place. Please, if anyone has experienced something similar reach out to me, I need help!
I have looked up your name with every combination I could come up with and I do not find you in our computer system, so I cannot respond with much specificity. I will share our membership cancellation procedures per our membership agreement. Cancellations are handled per the terms of the agreement. Here are those terms: You promise that if you decide to cancel your membership you will show up at the club you enrolled at to cancel in writing or you will mail notice to our corporate office by certified mail in time for us to receive your notice by the end of the month. If you don’t send your cancellation by certified mail you promise you won't get mad at us if the post office loses your letter. Positive experience: EDIT: After some frustrations over cancelling my membership, I was contacted by Kaleb and he was helpful with the cancelation. Unfortunately I cannot give a full 5 stars because this process was still more difficult than it needed to be. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I really enjoy this gym. The women's only area helps me feel more comfortable while working out. I do wish there was at least 2 stair steppers in the women's area, and reduce the amount of bikes. I would also like to see another cleaning bottle and paper towel dispenser added to the room.

Negative experience: Shady business practices, you're better off at Bob's or Planet Fitness
John, we are always open to feedback and constantly looking to improve. But with such a vague comment made anonymously it is hard for either of those things to happen. I will offer that if you want hardcore lifting, Bob's is a better option. I think he still has a lot of the Hammer equipment he bought from our auction years ago as we moved from focusing on serving people who wanted to lift 300 pounds to those who are more focused on avoiding weighting 300 pounds. As for Planet Fitness, we looked at becoming Planet Fitness back in 2007 but it would have required us to drop our women's only areas, our personal training and our group fitness program. But we certainly won't denegrate clubs that own some of equipment we once offered or a busines model that we seriously considerd. So both of your recommendations make sense, depending on what someone is looking for. we are very poud of the amenities we offer and the environment. Those are unique to us and we think we offer those at an incredible price wich means great value. But we would appreciate more complete feedback in a one-star review.
Fantastic experience: Always are machines available. You exercise and Leave. There is a movie theater so you can exercise and watch the movie of the day. I don't like this option, but there is people who likes. Friendly staff.

Negative experience: Not a a good look for blue moon Kelly was super rude to me is because I’m not an American.. He was rude but u can say whatever makes u feel better.. in this situation only god is my witness
I understand your frustration that there was not somoene avaiable to take you through a training session, and we will do our best to accomodate you without an appointment, but it is always best to book an appointment in advance if you are expectinng someone to be available. Kelly was not rude because you are not an American. Not sure how he would know that unless you had told him. We deal with a lot of people and we have no way of knowing someone's citizenship unless they are an employee, in which case the federal government requires us to submit certain paperwork to them.
Fantastic experience: There are many reasons Joel Potter’s gyms have been around so long. Great pricing, friendly staff, a wide variety of well-maintained equipment, a focus on cleanliness, etc. My husband, Bret, and I have been members ever since the 108th and Maple location opened many years ago and now live closer and attend the Bellevue location. We are definitely fans!

Positive experience: Very clean! No doubt this gym is well cared for. Why three stars? Because the billing and billing frequency is a pain in the bleep and very confusing! The staff are courteous and friendly! I do enjoy stopping by and saying hi to them. Good folks!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym for multiple years and have always appreciated it. The staff are attentive and friendly and ready to help out or answer questions when needed. Facility has always been clean as well. Switching locations only due to a job change and the manager I spoke with was very nice and explained how I can easily move my membership to another location vs having to cancel and re-enroll elsewhere. Another employee did previously tell me I'd have to come in, cancel, and enroll elsewhere, but the manager corrected this information and apologized. Sad to be leaving and hope the other location is just as wonderful!

Positive experience: Decent gym, no sauna really hurts
Thanks for your review and input. Even though we don't have a full sauna room, we have a personal sauna pod. It is a luxurious, full body, powered massage system ergonomically situated within a personal pod with a wellness exercise system & adjustable thermal dual heat sauna.

Fantastic experience: I love coming here! Very friendly and helpful everytime I go. Kayla is a personal trainer and amazing to work with. She knows what she's doing and is the reason I keep coming back. Rob the team leader is also extremely helpful whenever interacting with him. I would highly recommend coming to this location, especially if you want to be treated with kindness and respect.
Negative experience: This gym seems to have trouble with employees, randomly they just won’t show up, and I’m stuck sitting in the parking lot at 5am, sat there till 5:50 still nobody. This has happened numerous times.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to several different gyms in Omaha and Blue Moon fitness (especially in Bellevue) has been the best for the money in my experienced. From friendly staff, clean equipment and an abundance of positive energy throughout the club has had me a member for 3+ years and counting. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The facility is spacious, clean and well organized. There is sufficient equipment to do a variety of workouts for a variety of preferences. I love the women's only section, just wish there was some more weight equipment in there like a squat rack or Smith machine. The functional section with the deadlift platform is also great. This is a nice place to feel like you can comfortably workout, equipment is not packed in and it is a step above places where you can do Olympic lifting, for sure. Then there is the awesome cardio theater and the benefits like the hydro-massage and the cocoon sauna. Overall for the price, you really can not beat it. The staff is pretty awesome, too. Most of them are super friendly and they're not pushy, but will be ready to offer assistance/training in a heart beat.

Positive experience: The most boring-est gym I've ever been a member of, but you will never have to wait for any machine cause all the of the overweight Bellevue/Omahans don't workout they just go on fad diets that don't work then give up and continue to gain weight.

Negative experience: Been a member at this gym for about 4.5 years and never had any issues with a valid credit card on file. The card failed to process in November (11/20/20) and no one contacted me until 12/16/20 to inform me. I contacted the bank to see why it declined, and they said there was no attempt to charge the card. I got charged a $10 late fee due to this, and I decided to cancel today, 12/18/20, to which they informed me I needed to pay for January's membership fees as well. Incredibly disappointed after years of no issues.
Positive experience: When I first started coming here years ago, there was always someone in the house to make sure this place is clean. However, that is not the case anymore. I’m constantly asking front desk to have someone clean the ladies locker room. I come in the next time and see that someone did vacuum the locker room floor but they frequently skip cleaning the showers. This same sponge has been on the floor for three weeks… Which means no one has clean the shower in at least three weeks. There’s still small trash on the floor that I’ve seen since days ago. They don’t seem to take cleaning very seriously around here anymore. I work out and I use the showers…it would be nice if it was cleaned daily.

Fantastic experience: Love Blue Moon and the Bellevue location is incredible! The staff are always friendly and professional. The Bellevue location is immaculately clean even pre COVID-19. I feel Blue Moon cares about their members and are open to suggestions and recommendations to better their members’ experience. When I completed the last feedback survey I mentioned needing more weights for the Women's’ Room and new yoga mats... the very next week they were available! I have been a member of several other national chain gyms and felt the pricing was dishonest, members were not valued, and gym space was over crowded. Blue Moon has been my best gym experience!

Fantastic experience: I been going to this Blue Moon Fitness for years and when I enter, I know I will be greeted with a friendly face and wishing me good luck on my workouts. I will go there when I need to reduce stress and/or just want hangout and workout.
Fantastic experience: A great, well-managed club. Consciously practices and enforces safety measures to keep their customers safe during the COVID pandemic. It's a rare when you find a piece of equipment requiring repair. The staff is friendly and courteous.

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership in October, but it wasn't processed. So I went back in to cancel in November. Since then I have been charged an annual fee and biweekly fees three times. To make it even better, no one gets back to you when you file a claim.

That way we can look into what happened with your cancellation request and fees charged.

Negative experience: Buyer beware! Less then professional business practices. I have/had (canceled after these shenanigans) a Premium membership in good standing. I signed up for the group classes for a monthly fee of $50.00 in December. I discontinued going to the gym after the pandemic started, but kept my membership active and my group classes. I called the Blue Moon Fitness in Bellevue April 6 at 3:09 pm a women answered the call. I explanded to her I wanted to pause my group class. She then passed the phone call to Zach (who I thought was no longer an employee there, but his email was still listed as the club contact person on their websiteand attached to their outgoing emails) I then explained to him that I would like to pause my group classes for now and after the pandemic I would turn them back on. He assured me that he would take care of that and we hung up. A couple of months go by and I notice that the group class fee is still being deducted out of my bank account. July 7th I called Blue Moon in Bellevue and I reach Raquel the current Manager. I explain to her my conversation with Zach from April and she tells me that Zach doesn't work there so he couldn't have taken my call. I told her I was aware that he was no longer a manager, but have seen him often behind the employee counter with a employee shirt on. Raqual said she would need to discuss how to compensate me for my hassles with Kelly the Training Manager and she would give me a call back later. She returned my call at 2:02 pm that same day to offer me a 400.00 credit towards group classes in the future and would stop the monthly auto payments. I then asked when my membership contract was up, she said September 11 and if I pause my membership to make sure I ask for her so she could get my $400.00 credit towards my group training on my account for when I reactivate my membership. To my surprise when reviewing my bank transactions the group class fee is still coming out of my bank account monthly. I tried to call Blue Moon Bellevue again September 15 th 7:30am there was no answer. I sent a message threw the Contact Us tab on Blue Moon Bellevue's website asking for someone to contact me about this issue. No response by phone or email. September 17th I call BMF Bellevue at 11:43am. Raquel answers the call, I identify myself and ask if she remembers our conversation from July about my group class monthly payments. She says not specifically but she knows who I am. I refresh her memory of the issue and tell her I am done spending time dealing with this issue and I want a refund for all of the classes for when I first notified Blue Moon ( May-September) She again says she needs to talk to the Training Manager to get this resolved and would call me back later on that day. I still haven't received a call back from Raquel. Sad that they have to earn money deceptively.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean facility with quality equipment, and you can't beat the value!
Positive experience: Only reason I cancelled my membership was because we moved.
Negative experience: Too many fees... I had to pay a $50 fee for cancelling my membership because I didn’t have it for a year and I had to pay a $40 fee for an annual fee. When I only had my membership for a couple months. They’re gym isn't even nice and its small... I’d recommend another gym. Dont waste your money here!

Negative experience: Machines & free weights! Edit: Good gym but when asked for reimbursement for reduced workout time and guest privileges revoked, it fell on deaf ears. No "I understand or sorry." Thats when I said bye bye!

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything I need. I will stay here too simply because the team and the Manager/Owner are good people. I once completed a survey and wrote some suggestions in there as well. I was pleased to hear back from the Manager and thankful he heard my suggestions and was able to do something about it. The price and the equipment here is exactly what I need to get in the best shape I can be in.

Fantastic experience: Blue moon is definitely a great gym for everyone from beginner to advanced. They have all the machines, weights, cardio equipment and CrossFit equipment for athletes as well. Management makes sure they’re constantly adding new stuff and you’re taken care of.
Fantastic experience: This place is great! There are plenty of ellipticals and treadmills for cardio and a good selection of machines and free weights for strength training. I would frequent here at around 4pm every day and I never really had to wait on others to use the weights. The staff, Xander and Zach, were extremely helpful, courteous and professional. Right now they have a 5-day free trial w/no pressure to try out the facility. I would recommend it!
Fantastic experience: The blue moon in Bellevue is awesome! Always a friendly welcome when I walk through the door and the facility has many new features this year that have put it over the top especially compared with the price I pay. Locker rooms are sparkling clean and the employees are extremely nice and helpful with everything I’ve needed. I have used this gym for years and will continue to as long as I live in Bellevue/Omaha.

It has everything you could ask for in a gym: dumbbells, machines, locker rooms, clean facilities, and a welcoming staff. Joel, Mckynzie, Xander, and the others do a excellent job of making sure everyone feels comfortable during their workout. The great thing about Blue Moon is that they will work with you no matter what your experience is with weight training or what your budget is. 10/10 would recommend!
Fantastic experience: I started blue Moon fitness about 4 yeas ago and had just got down to 168 lbs and was wanting to bulk up. Throughout my years of going here I've had a 100% excellent experience every time! I use the gym at least 3 times a week and plan on it for years to come. I'm now at 200 lbs of muscle and I owe a lot to the friendly faces at Blue Moon Bellevue and all the motivation they always have to offer!
Fantastic experience: I started out working out at bluemoon at 325 pounds I felt comfortable at bluemoon and lost 100 pounds. I ended up becoming close friends with a lot of the workers there I then ended up working for the company for a year and to this day I still loved working at bluemoon and will always it to all of the people I always meet.
Fantastic experience: Blue moon is great have been using the gym for over a year, great people great staff, and plenty of motivation. Everyone there just want to see you doing better. Just this month have lost 7.5% of my body fat using the power plate and doing Sprint intervals. Love this place, thanks guys.

Positive experience: I signed up to begin my membership just yesterday 8/10/2019 and was told that a copy of my contract would be sent to me via email. I specifically asked about contract delivery before putting my signature on anything. I was patient and waited for this contract to arrive in my email as the gentleman that assisted with signup said that he sent it to me. I paid in cash 12 dollars and some change to get started and was asked for a card to put on file for future payments and I obliged as I thought we were being transparent and nothing shady was taking place. This morning I check my email and sure enough; no contract. I gave a call to the Bellevue location and had the displeasure of speaking with an extremely rude associate that goes by the name of Jeremy. He told me he has never seen a hard copy be given to a member and doesn’t think there’s a way to send it to a person electronically and that he would talk to his manager tomorrow about it. Not until I thanked him for NOT listening and directly told him that he was being rude and speaking over me did he ask for my member number and phone number. I asked when I could expect an answer and he said “I can try calling my manager today to see if he’s available”. Unacceptable to have a person sign a legally binding contract and not even provide a copy of it. Beware as I’m sure it’s not just the Bellevue location that is carrying on business in a shady fashion. Really wish I hadn’t enrolled yesterday. UPDATE The manager Zack took care of everything I needed and ensured I got a copy of my contract.

Negative experience: I have been a member for a few years now and am very disappointed. I have the VIP membership and that allows me to bring a guest. My 81 year old father in law has moved in with us as he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is very active and wants to keep up the activity. So I had him come to Blue Moon Fitness with me and get some exercise. He wanted to either ride the stationary bike or walk the treadmill. That is awesome. I let him be and I went to lift. I then found him sitting on the couch doing nothing. I found out that the staff informed him (should have informed the member - me) that they have a strict rule that you can't workout in jeans. He can't even walk the treadmill. Really? They told him that he could not do anything there. He was so embarrassed and felt and talked down to. It is already a sad time and this was very much uncalled for. The conversation should have been with the member, not the "guest". I am very disappointed and will find a new gym.
Darrell, first of all we are all very sorry to hear that anyone has cancer, let alone pancreatic cancer. If we were made aware of this we would set your father in law up on a free 3 month membership. This is part of an initiative that we introduced over 3 years ago offering free memberships to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer or diabetes. I lost my best friend in the world to pancreatic cancer, so I am more familiar with the disease than I would like to be. I will say that when someone breaks a rule we address the person who broke the rule. I am not certain I quite understand how anything else would be effective. I suspect if we did the reverse we would get more unhappy people -- imagine if you were a guest ad you dropped a weight and we told the member who you came with to tell you not to drop weights. Seems very awkward to me. As for jeans in the club, well I have been in hundreds and hundreds of clubs and I know of only one that allows people to exercise wearing jeans. We have considered it and for now we are staying with that guideline. I would ask that you inform your father in law about the free 3 month membership we have for him and inform him that we interviewed a medical oncologist on our radio show a while back and he said that he believes anyone can improve their situation by exercising. He tells patients being prescribed chemo therapy to maintain or increase their exercise program. I have a very close friend who lost his wife to breast cancer after a many years fight and she was exercising up to the final days. Cancer is an awful disease and pancreatic cancer is worse than most because it usually is detected so late and therefore very difficult to treat.
