Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable staff the place was clean and organized very comfortable experience.

Negative experience: Very crowded. Very dirty. The women’s restroom/ locker room is disgusting.

Negative experience: This place is awful. I typically turn off my debit card so a lot of transactions I cannot cancel will not go through. Well my mistake for not turning it off, they took $178 out of my account when they refuse to cancel over the phone. I am on disability and make very little money from that. The way they charged was very confusing that I didn't even know who was charging.

Negative experience: Beware, they will make you come all the way back to this specific club to cancel your membership, or you have to mail in your barcode thing. I'm a truck driver and over the road a lot, so those are my options. Absolute BS and bad business if you ask me

Fantastic experience: Just a really solid Crunch location with a notably friendly staff. Almost anything you want outside of strongman equipment, rarely too crowded, always clean

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to crunch for a few months and love the gym itself. They have the equipment i need as well as space to keep expanding, while keeping enough space between each machine. I’ve been doing PT lessons with Kyle C for a bit now and he’s been great, helping me push myself while helping me keep myself accountable. He’s been great with giving me a different workout routine I’m use to which has been helping me achieve my goals.

Fantastic experience: This gym is impressive and challenging towards developing goals for building and losing weight. I highly recommend Kyle ( Manager for personal training) for fighters, advice on diet, instructions, and recommendations.

Fantastic experience: My favorite gym to go to! The facility is always clean, organized, and super friendly. The staff is always welcoming and willing to answer any questions I have. Fitness is pretty new to me, but Kyle C offered to do a kickoff with me to make me feel more comfortable. He was very determined to help me reach my goals and was willing get me there every step of the way. Workouts seem less intimidating now that he’s shown me the ropes. Always pushing me and motivating me. I would recommend this gym if anyone is looking for a go-to workout place! Also, Kyle C is awesome at his job if anyone is looking for a personal trainer!

Negative experience: I wanted to join with a basic membership and pay with credit card. Per the young kid working the front desk, they won’t take credit card and the business policy requires submitting your banking information. In this day of data breaches and hacking, I prefer to use a credit card where there is a remedy if funds are stolen. They refused to allow me to pay by credit card. Quote “ people sign up with credit card. Then cancel their card “. I would have even paid for a year upfront. Nope. That was refused. Of course if your bank account has no money or closes, it is the same problem. They just lost a customer. BTW. I’m a successful 60 year old business owner of a tech consulting group that sees data breaches all the time at organizations a like crunch. The last thing I want to give them is direct access to my banking accounts

Fantastic experience: As a former employee and now as a full-time member, Crunch Newport never fails to deliver on what they promise—no judgements, no limits. Their mission is driven through every employee starting at the front desk all the way to the personal training, along with the excellent group fitness classes. GM Shelby Young executes flawlessly with her young staff and is lead by excellent leadership from her franchise group.

Fantastic experience: The whole team is great very friendly and engaging especially Emmitt who takes the time to ask how my day is going and talk a little football. The positive upbeat team really makes the difference. The new equipment additions have are very appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I love the new updates to the Crunch Fitness in Newport, Ky. They have more benches, more cable machines, more free weights and just more variety. Getting a good affective workout is easy, and your not always fighting/waiting for equipment.

He is always super friendly and makes me excited for my workout. He always asks about my day and makes the whole experience a lot better.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Crunch - Newport since July 2024. I came to Crunch to get a head start on my fitness goals. At first going into Crunch was a bit overwhelming since I had no idea where to start. I tried one of their various classes, which turned out wasn't for me, but after my kickoff session for Personal Training things changed. I've participating in their Personal Training Program for a few months now and it's a program I'd recommend to all my family and friends. My trainer is fantastic, they take my fitness level into consideration with each session I've completed which has helped me grow more comfortable and gain confidence in going to the gym and my trainer does a great job at nurturing it wither it is pushing me to my limits and giving me a pat on the back or pushing me to my limits and rewarding me with a drink for working hard. The staff other than the PT staff are exceptional, I bring my daughter to most every session because she loves the engagement she gets at Kid's Crunch. I'd strongly recommend going to Crunch - Newport and experiencing it for yourself.

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the best gyms I've ever been a member at. Clean facilities, nice locker rooms, and great customer service. I recently lost my airpods at the gym and was helped by employee Ethan Bush in the recovery of them. The service alone makes it an easy 5 star gym.

Negative experience: Came in at 8:51 am to work out before I go to work. I was told I had to leave until my card was updated (a new card is in the mail; the bank is active, but I couldn't update the account with my information). I asked if I could update it online, and they said yes, but I'm not allowed in until then. To clarify, I tried updating my account number, etc., online, but it won't let me do that. Stellar customer service

Negative experience: Moved out of state so decided to cancel my membership. Was told by the desk attendant when I cancelled my membership that I wouldn’t be charged for the month of September, but recently found a charge for the month of September from the gym. Despite the discussion in person, when I brought up the cancellation in an email they said they “were sorry for any misunderstanding” (I’m not misunderstanding anything, I was directly told I wouldn’t be charged for September). I recommend going to a gym where they don’t lie about when they’re going to charge you.

Fantastic experience: I joined earlier this summer when I moved to the area and immediately loved it. A great gym and great people for a great price. Also, in the past 2 months the gym has added a ton of new equipment! Really amazing gym!

Negative experience: Getting too crowded… Not 24/7 anymore too so now I have to worry about them closing and plan with my busy schedule.

Negative experience: Crunch Fitness advertises a free three-day pass on their website, including this location. When I showed up to sign up, I was told that I was wrong. (Double checked when I got home, they still advertise this.) I was forced to pay $10 (the equivalent to one month of membership) for one day. Staff was not helpful when I explained my confusion. Very poor first impression. I was interested in signing up for a membership, but I’m going to check out other nearby gyms. There are plenty. I suggest you do the same.

Positive experience: This location has Jacob's Ladder great for cardio

Negative experience: Associate mislead me about the fees associated with signing up for a premium account and I was treated rudely and denied help when I asked about it. Just like any other scummy gym, they'll lie to you about what you're going to pay for and apparently refuse to give you a refund. Also, Crunch newport specifically is junky, with many many many machines half-functioning and lackluster.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience at this Crunch. I was a little weary, leaving a more expensive gym to try Crunch, but I’ve been really pleased with it. They have a clean, modern facility, awesome group classes, and personal training without the boutique gym price tag. Another nice personal touch is the tour they give you when you join. Jack S. was awesome. Friendly, helpful, and made me feel at ease in a new facility. I’m definitely excited to keep coming back!

Positive experience: The music is FAR too loud! It doesn’t need to sound like a nightclub in there. It could also be a little cleaner in the locker and bathrooms

He’s the kind of guy that turns heads and keeps the place lookin' good. Ethan's the kind of guy that makes the whole place run smoother. With his mix of friendliness, smarts, good looks, and that can-do attitude, he's the real deal. Props to Ethan for keeping it 100 and making sure everyone has a dope experience.

The equipment here is top-notch, catering to all kinds of workouts, whether you're into cardio, strength training, or functional fitness. The Assistant General Manager Jon is super friendly and ensures he says hi to everyone every day. What sets this location apart is the staff. Fantastic experience: Started back at the gym this previous winter. After the initial tour, I expressed interest in wanting to have a personal trainer. Kyle C. went over all of the details and I ended up signing with him. He was detailed and was able to work with my rollercoaster schedule as a social worker. I was able to see noticeable progress over the next few months I worked with him. The gym is clean, in a great location, and has great staff.

Fantastic experience: I belong to Crunch Gym, Newport, Kentucky. I spoke with the manager, Kyle C about buying a package with a few sessions of personal training. Unfortunately, they do not offer what I was looking for. He thoroughly explained my best options. I chose to do their minimum PT option, which is three months and will continue indefinitely until I give one month’s notice. I only wanted three months, it is clearly my responsibility to give notice, but Kyle C remembered… and has reached out to me after a month to remind me about the 30 day notice, to stop the charges to my credit card! My previous experience has been it’s difficult to quit gyms or PT , without prolonged charges to my credit card. So find that customer service anywhere is amazing! My experience so far at Newport location has been great. Kyle C recommended the right trainer for my level of ability, I highly recommend Angelia! She’s been great to work with and built an exercise program for me to continue at home or while traveling when I’m unable to attend the gym. I’ve had gym memberships at a few places through the years, but never experienced support beyond initial sign-up. I definitely recommend Newport Crunch Gym for their classes, personal training, equipment, and cleanliness. 5 stars all the way!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Positive experience: The new equipment and set up is great and the staff has greatly improved since the last time I left a review. Shelby is a great manager and she listens to us and does her best to accommodate. I'm not sure how the air conditioning will work next summer but other than that its five stars for me. I would like to see them keep the mirrors in the bathroom clean a little more and hopefully they will put some large fans in the corners of the free weight areas by next summer so we don't all die, but if they can do that I think the membership and attendance will explode even more. Also, I am told they will be getting rid of a portion of the cardio equipment, which I believe will make room for some rare novelty machines that attract more people such as a belt or pendulum squat machine, hip thrust machine or military press rack. Maybe some ab coasters and ab twist machine would be good too!

Positive experience: For the most part, it’s a great place to work out! Plenty of machines and options, a clean environment, great instructors in the classes. My only complaint is that they play the music so loudly! Everywhere you look, people have earbuds in and are listening to their own music. I wish they would turn theirs down so it wouldn’t be so distracting!

Fantastic experience: I’m a new member and have enjoyed working out on the equipment and participating in the fitness classes. The staff is very friendly and polite and the gym is very clean. My only suggestion is that you add another adductor machine. There is only one and it’s a hassle to have to wait while others just sit on it.

Positive experience: It's very convenient for me and has everything I need from a weights and cardio perspective but not having a Sauna hurts this location. I still may join to have it as a more convenient gym to workout at but I will drive 10-15 min to my other gym because they provide a Sauna.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, nice gym with lots of equipment and options. I went late afternoon on a Friday and it wasn't crowded at all. It also has red light and tanning options for higher level memberships.
