Negative experience: DO NOT get a membership here. I went into my local branch 3 times to cancel. They couldn’t provide a receipt of cancelation. I sent corporate a letter as requested still charging my account. You also will never talk to anyone if you call. Just recordings that will never help. Over a year of trying to cancel I had to put a stop payment through my bank, because the owners of this company are too incompetent. Now they sent it to debt collectors threatening me because they wouldn’t cancel my account. Hiring an attorney at this point.

Fantastic experience: Great location and facilities

Positive experience: This place lacks a lot of the amenities that the other CF locations have. Staff is good though. Would recommend trying to avoid their payment partner ABC. Ask your insurance if they pay for it before signing your name on the dotted line because if you do, you’ll remember me saying this when it comes time to cancel or ask about a strange charge from them. Lastly, get a stinkin sauna. You have numerous tanning beds here but not an essential gym amenity that nearly every gym has. 3/5 - go to O’Fallon location if possible

Negative experience: Don’t bother trying to use the kids club here. The employees could not act more bothered by you using your membership you pay for when you bring your kids. Walk in an hour before it’s supposed to close and they tell me “you know it’s about to close right?” I said yeah in an hour correct? And they told me they close it early to clean…. For what? Clean it at the time you’re supposed to close, it’s not like anything in there gets cleaned anyways. Everything is gross. Very frustrated.

Negative experience: App doesn't work without a staff member sending me a password change email. A 24 hour gym is kind of pointless if you can't access the gym 24/7.

Negative experience: I'm on my 3rd trip to this gym trying to cancel a membership, they refuse to let me speak to a manager and already charged me the early cancelation fee.

Negative experience: The actual gym is fine, the problem comes from their billing. I agreed to $40 a month on the 27 of every month. That agreement is even on the receipt they emailed me. I paid the $40 a month the first 2 months and everything was fine. Then I got hit with a bunch of additional charges for “late fees” it’s nowhere near the 27 of the month. How is my bill late when it’s not due yet? So in 3 months, from march 27th to May 12th they have taken $182.98 out of my account. Thats $100 more than what we agree on for the period of time. I’m trying to understand how a $40 a month subscription turned into $180 in the span of 3 months. And not to mention no one answers the phone when I call the customer service number on my agreement that was emailed to me. If I can’t get in contact with them soon I will be disputing these charges. Hope this helps anyone who experience the same thing.

Positive experience: Great place to workout, but expensive and they will change the details of your contract. I started out paying $10 and received all the amenities, no expiration date. Now I'm paying over 3 times as much with fewer amenities. Planet fitness is more affordable.

Positive experience: Big place! Lots of space and lots of equipment options. Lots of parking!

Negative experience: This corporation is becoming worse and worse. They raise prices and reduce services. It used to be if you paid for a trainer, (which is very expensive) you had access to everything. That is no longer the case. They expect you to not only pay for the trainer fees, but also higher membership fees. The kids club hours are a joke, and now also only available with the higher membership, even if you're paying the training fees. So rates were raised, services were reduced and there are constantly 3 or 4 people standing behind the counter doing nothing. What exactly am I paying for? The one and only reason we're still with this gym, paying everything we're paying, is because of our personal trainer. If he goes, we'll go. Also, they've made it so that you can't do anything over the phone. You can't even call the gym. If you need something, you literally have to go in, in person for assistance.

Negative experience: If you try to cancel they will find a way to screw you! We cancelled in store and then had to argue for 60+ minutes over the phone to make sure we were charged nothing even though our receipts showed zero balances they were going to charge us another month.

Fantastic experience: Well kept, clean, spacious, lots of machines, free weights and they're always adding more. Clean lockers and restrooms.

Fantastic experience: My New Gym!!! There is nothing I don’t love about going there! I’m on a mission to be more fit and active. I let a gym that didn’t have the trainers that know what they are doing. I love that Club Fitness is invested in my outcome. I work with a trainer; Blake; one day a week, attend a class one day a week, and I’m solo the other two days that I go. In the last few weeks I feel the change. I feel stronger and my endurance is building. My short term goal is to go to the gym 4days per week. Long term goal is to lose weight consistently until I reach my goal weight.

Positive experience: I wish this location had a dry sauna and women's workout studio. I have to drive to other locations to enjoy these amenities

Fantastic experience: Love that you can tan here too. The water massage chairs are great.

Fantastic experience: The initial sign up process went smoothly and the associate gave me a very thorough tour of the Belleville facility. I was really impressed by the upgrades

Negative experience: This use to be a great gym but now it's complete trash! They continue to raise rates and at the same time they take away benefits from us. You use to be able to tan for free with a $20 membership but now it cost $40. They took away the cardio theater and replaced it with a stretching room that only the trainers can use. Speaking of the trainers, they are weak and scrawny and look like they've never lifted a weight in their life, do you really want to take advice from someone whos not even lifting? Yet alone pay the outrageous fees. The place is filthy, before covid there were porters cleaning at all times and now I never see them on the floor but you'll sure see 5 or 6 people standing at the front desk doing absolutely nothing but chatting with each other. For anyone reading this save your money and go somewhere else and get more for your hard earned money.

Negative experience: I moved out of state two months ago and I can't cancel my account. I've called and only get machines. I try to freeze account online and it won't submit my form. I try to contact online and it won't submit my form. I call and only get machines can't talk to anyone. Tells me to mail a letter like it's 1970 to cancel but how am I supposed to trust that to work if nothing else works. Also can't cancel in person on weekends how am I supposed to cancel?

Negative experience: This place robbed me if $227 tried explaining I thought there was a deal, were impatient. Had to go to the better business bureau. Never stepped foot or used their machines because I literally just got it online. Just beware.

Fantastic experience: I have been here numerous times in debate on signing up after my car accident. When going in Endia assisted us. She was very honest. We recently was in a car accident so we are very limited on usage. She was very helpful in helping us determine what is best for us. Very knowledgeable and very honest!

Fantastic experience: Big 24 hour gym with many areas to workout and train. Tanning and massage bed available and free to Black Club members which is a plus. This gym is packed in the evenings when people get off work so be prepared.

Fantastic experience: I like Club Fitness. The inside is clean and up to date. There are plenty of machines and weights so you're rarely waiting to use equipment.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic GYM! Met with the Manager on Sunday and he made the wife and I feel very welcomed and showed us the gym and went over everything and answered all our questions. Then on Monday we met with our Personal Trainer and for me personally it was a great meeting. He was very knowledgeable and supportive of what I was wanting to accomplish. I’m 48 overweight and really never stepped into a GYM before. Huge shot out to Hunter for everything! If you’re looking for a GYM that has everything and Great Staffing, Club Fitness is the place!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a lot of different club fitnesses, but this is by far the cleanest one! As a woman I have also had a lot of bad experiences with gyms that do not take action when a other gym goer is making others uncomfortable. But this club fitness is known to stop any unprofessional behaviors dead in its track! I really appreciate all their efforts to make sure everyone feels welcome here.

While making sure there was not anything else that was not answered. I highly recommend visiting this gym.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Bryson the location GM for reaching out and quickly refunding my Annual Fee. I am more than satisfied with the quick resolution. I canceled my membership and was told I had to give 30 days notice. This is understandable. However, during that 30 day waiting period my yearly fee (separate from what you pay monthly) came up and they charged me for it, even though I had canceled and was not going to be there for the next year. I went in and asked for it to be prorated. Instead of paying the fee for the entire year it should have been for 11 days until my membership was cancelled. She was polite but did not know what prorate meant. I was stuck paying for the entire yearly fee. This sure feels like a scam. So beware if you are looking at this gym.
