Positive experience: This gym is great and I have now been working out here for 3 years. The people and staff here are lovely. The only problem I have is how the free weights are never organized. This isnt a gym thing and more of a people thing. I also have minor ocd in the gym and some of the weights are different brands which is kind of annoying when loading up a bar as I like both sides to match. Other then that the gym is great in every aspect.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the Pump House fitness center! We went to Hendersonville for vacation and we were able to get a weekly pass (you can also go by the day if you're visiting the area). The owner, Brenda, is wonderful and the gym is awesome. Great equipment and facilities.

Fantastic experience: Greta place to work out. The trainers there are so chill and really motivate you. Debbie was my trainer while visiting NC. She was so knowledgeable and really helped explain the mechanical side of the workouts we did. Excellent trainer if you can book her. The gym had a lot of equipment and every one was respectful of the equipment. Wiping down after use. That's personal pet peeve when people don't. so seeing everyone clean off the machines after use says a lot about the respect the community has for the gym. The protein shakes are great. I had a chocolate peanut butter, chocolate banana, and chocolate strawberry. All Greta favorite was the peanut butter cup one. 10/10 I recommend.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely by far the best gym in WNC. I drive 35 minutes to go there and 35 back-well worth it. Machines are new, state of the art and many. They are well maintained and clean. I get a killer work out and I consider myself an elite body builder. Tammy who runs things in the daytime is awesome. She's extremely friendly, and knowledgeable and will take time to discuss all the amenities and extras. The clientele is great also. Best of all its a real feel good place. Lots of tinted windows looking out at the beautiful landscape and attention to detail that blows me away, like the red metal bench out front and Dyson cutter hand dryers in the bathrooms. I've lived all around the country and the owner (NOT CORP) nailed it with this gym.

The gym has an abundance of equipment, offers classes, and is extremely clean and well keep.They embody a family atmosphere with smiling facing. Negative experience: Looking at fitness centers as a retiree. Asked about free pass I had from Active& Fit and if I could come in Monday. Told no issue and the owner was in 15 minutes before opening at 4am, came in at 4:10am and was told no staff was on hand to take care of passes until after 5am when the owner came in by people working out. Came back in at 9:30am and same person I saw on Friday behind the desk. Asked if owner, Brenda, was in and told she was out. After some back and forth about what was said on Friday and denials I asked if I should just go elsewhere, and the employee stated maybe I should. If the owner wants to contact me my phone number is listed locally.

Fantastic experience: Came by The Pump House over the weekend at 5am while in Asheville for a bachelor trip. Brenda, who I assume is the owner, introduced herself, offered to show me around, and was nothing but friendly. She even checked on me during my workout to make sure I was comfortable and found everything. The gym itself is very clean, with what appeared to have a very tight knit community working out, and chatting between sets. The gym has everything you need, from deadlift platforms, dumbbells over 100 lbs, a great machine variety, and plenty of cardio options. Definitely glad I made the drive to workout here as opposed to somewhere else. The Pump House will definitely be my spot if I ever come back to the area. Day passes are only $10.00 too! Thanks again Brenda for being so accommodating!

Fantastic experience: Always clean. Excellent classes, instructors and equipment. Brenda’s classes always include cardio workout, strength training and balance. Her half hour workouts are amazing and fun. She is an amazing role model! Clare’s yoga classes are also excellent, which is why attendance keeps growing! Her instructions are very clear; she is always prompt and willing to help, if necessary. Every week she delivers a different and well thought out routine. What a joy!

Fantastic experience: First time ever going to a gym!, I had a few hours to kill while I'm out of town and wanted to give this place a try!, If I could move this building to where I currently live I would!, The staff were the most helpful and nice and the facility smelled so clean and they were constantly mopping and wiping down the equipment, all the gym members were nice and helped me learn the newer workouts and I had a great time!.

Fantastic experience: I am currently training for the world championships in Greece and had a campaign photo shoot at the Pump House yesterday. The owner was so kind to allow my campaign team in to take photos and the facility is so clean! I will definitely be back to workout in the future.

Positive experience: Decent tiny gym in Hendersonville. Has a good amount of equipment needed for a good lifting session but it’s missing some key pieces. Very clean gym though.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym! I was in town for a week and was very impressed. Gym was always clean, no broken machines, plenty of equipment and staff was always very friendly. Customers of the gym are also courteous, equipment is wiped down and weights put away. This is a professional and friendly place to workout. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Worked in fitness for many years so it’s fair to say I’ve seen quite a few gyms (from coast to coast), and this is one of the best gyms I’ve seen. The equipment is top of the line, the vibes/energy are great, and nothing here was done half-a**. Lastly, the pricing is amazing; none of the the crazy various fees the other gyms tack on.

Fantastic experience: Was in town for a week and travel for a living. This is literally one of the best gyms I have ever set foot in. Ro the front desk guy was the most professional courteous person I’ve ever met. Made sure I knew where everything was and overdelivered on customer service. Met the owner Brenda today and she was super sweet and proud of her gym as she should be. An 11/10 experience with everything they need and super clean and organized. I will come anytime in in an hour drive from Here.

Negative experience: My son is going into the Marines and he only needed a month membership. So they charged him more. Then when my daughter wanted to spend a couple of hours with him before he left because he was being sent off they wanted to charge me $20. They were rude and said were here to make money. Will never return!

Positive experience: They have a lot of equipment but the place is to small for all the equipment. Very cramped. Weights are never organized. You have to go searching for the matching dumbbells. The price is way to high. I have traveled all over the country and the world and I have to say they are charging in the top 3% for the monthly memberships. I paid half what they are charging when I was in NYC. They don't have a water fountain but they do have a vending machine to charge you for water. I only recommend if you don't have another option, which I did find and after my 1 month membership runs out I'm switching to the other gym I found.

Fantastic experience: This Beauty shop is clean and so cute since they moved from across the street. The exercise part is away from beauty shop and is very clean and machines are cleaned after use. The pump owner is very sweet and is a person that believes everything needs cleaning. The staff is very nice and are busy all the time.

Sadly, we were only here on vacation but will be back when we visit Hendersonville in the future.

Fantastic experience: I love Brenda and Rasheed (Sorry for the spelling if wrong) with all my heart! They are very personal and sweet and want to make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. I have tried to get my boyfriend to go to the gym for a year and he never wanted to because of the atmosphere.. Now that we have a membership at the pumphouse, he makes me go every day! Rasheed also makes an awesome protein shake and I actually enjoy drinking it for once! The owner, Ms. Brenda is a shoe fanatic and hard working small business owner like myself. You can not please everyone but our first priority is to keep everyone safe but also to make sure they want to keep coming back. These people make me want to come back everyday. Even if we do not workout as hard as we need to for one day, we love coming to see them and to have a friendly conversation with them. You can see how hard they work and how they want to keep everyone happy! They sure do keep me happy!

My son and I did a week long membership while here on vacation and the price was extremely reasonable for this type of facility. The place was spotless and I saw staff members cleaning throughout my workout. I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: After spending ample time originally filling out paperwork and signing up for a membership with Ramid and working out for a month only to show up on a Saturday to find out they had lost the paperwork and saw my information in the computer but I would need to do the process again,. After going and getting my credit card this time Brenda gives me a whole other amount than Ramid did and i proceed to workout. Several times I witness the unprofessional loud Brenda terrorize paying guests that they missed being authorized entry because the system at the door only works half the time leaving you standing at the door hoping someone will answer the phone and assist you to get in. Multiple times I witnessed Brenda yell across the gym floor asking people to go back and do their finger to get authorized to enter. Degrading and insulting making it seem that at the age of 50 that someone was trying to get in without paying. A professional person would have quietly gotten the paying customers name and allowed the customer to continue their workout. Brenda yelled at myself from 20 feet away and had me get off the treadmill, watch me put my finger at least 10 times then it finally works and she says now you can go workout. Who enjoys being treated like a child, yelled at from across the room and pays someone for that abuse. Oh and after cancelling my membership she still charged my card. If this Gym was free I wouldn't go to it. And not to mention twice I got up to do a 6am class only to find the teacher never showed.
