Our comment from FitFit United States about Ozark Iron Gym:
Ozark Iron Gym, located in Fayetteville, is celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and extensive selection of top-notch strength equipment. Many members praise the gym for its commitment to creating a serious yet friendly workout environment. The owner, Will, is known for his hands-on approach and for valuing community feedback, leading to a continually evolving facility that meets the needs of its diverse clientele.
Key Highlights:
- Ample high-quality equipment, including numerous power racks and platforms that ensure no waiting time during peak hours.
- Cleanliness and maintenance are prioritized, providing a comfortable space to workout.
- A supportive community atmosphere where members encourage one another and share their fitness journeys.
- Rules in place to maintain a respectful environment, particularly for female lifters.
- Convenient drop-in rates for travelers or casual visitors.
While the gym is highly regarded overall, some members noted areas for improvement, particularly regarding pricing for day passes and the occasional removal of certain amenities. However, most feedback overwhelmingly highlights the positive aspects, making Ozark Iron Gym a standout choice for fitness enthusiasts in the area.
Ozark Iron Gym: Opinions

Fantastic experience: I bought a week pass to continue strength training while traveling for the holidays. Normally, I work out in my home gym and I hadn’t been in a commercial gym for years due to bad experiences in gyms when I was younger. One of the reasons I felt comfortable enough to visit was the third gym rule they have on their website: “Don’t be a creepy weirdo pervert. She’s here to lift. She’s not here for you.” And, no one was a creepy weirdo pervert to me (or any of the other women I saw at the gym.) While some of the pads on the machines were wearing down (like the preacher curl machine), most everything was in great condition. The number of power cages, deadlift platforms, and benches meant I never had to wait to do compound work. And while I had to wait for a lat machine to free up once, I didn’t have to wait for most machines because they had duplicates or functionally similar machines (e.g., standing calf raise machine vs seated calf raise machine). Whenever I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely come back
Really appreciate the in depth review and I'm also glad you noticed that the rules aren't just for show. People adhere to them. I'll get to work on ordering pads. Those things need to be addressed and I appreciate the feedback.
Fantastic experience: Appreciate the environment and equipment
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and great environment. Always nice and clean
Fantastic experience: Best equipment, staff, owner, and community. Join the atmosphere that pushes you to build strength, honor, courage, perseverance and confidence. Leave your ego at the door, work hard and you’ll make friends here and become a better you both inside and outside of the gym.
Thanks so much Dane! Glad to have you in gym
Fantastic experience: Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. When I first visited, I felt really intimidated. Everyone seemed so focused and serious about their workouts, and I was worried I wouldn’t fit in. For years, I had been a member of a large chain gym where people came inconsistently and rarely saw any real progress. This place felt completely different. Initially, this made me feel self-conscious—especially since I was overweight and unsure of what I was doing. I was convinced that people would think I looked out of place or didn’t belong. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the community here is genuinely supportive and welcoming. Once I dropped my insecurities and started focusing on my own progress, I realized that no one judged me based on my size or how much weight I could lift. Mainly because they were focusing on their own progress too. The gym itself is always well-maintained, and the owner really listens to the community’s feedback. There’s a constant flow of new equipment, and it’s clear there’s a genuine commitment to providing the best possible environment and equipment for members. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to level up, this is the perfect place to train—especially for women! They don’t tolerate creepy behavior at all and will genuinely kick anyone out who makes others uncomfortable. (I’ve never met someone who has been kicked out without deserving it.) The atmosphere is motivating, and now I see that the dedication of everyone around me isn’t intimidating, but rather motivating. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by people who are not only serious about their goals but also know how to enjoy the process. Since joining, I’ve lost 35 pounds and I am back at a healthy weight for my size. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a motivating place to make real progress with people who are genuinely cheering you on.
Negative experience: I was a member of this gym for four years. Early on in my time at the gym I saw an awesome strength sport community (powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting) and I wanted to be part of it and develop as an athlete. However, over the past two years, I’ve watched as the gym has slowly mistreated and displaced the larger strength community. There were instances of significant amounts of strength sport-specific training equipment removed, refusing to hold meets/competitions that the owner was previously in support of, cancelling peoples membership without proper notice, unwillingness to directly communicate with members, and hostility towards members who had inquiries of the direction the gym was going. I was generally not treated respectfully as a long-time patron or human by the owner or employees. If you train for general fitness or bodybuilding, this gym is still ideal for you. There is a wide variety of equipment on that front. However, if you are looking to become a strong athlete and find a supportive gym community that stands out in Northwest Arkansas, I’m very sorry to say that this is not your spot anymore. Edit: In response to the owner. It is very disappointing to be reminded that when women are direct and confrontational that we are then perceived as “threatening”, having an “attitude”, or “entitled rotten egg”. If someone had informed me that my inquires on equipment had been hurtful to them I would have welcomed the opportunity to apologize and talk it through. Your adamancy of your willingness to talk to members about gym decisions and rectifying behavior is not truthful, as I never received direct correspondence from you or staff about my communication.
Hey Kaitlyn, knew this was coming since you threatened it if you didn't get refunded and were upset that you were kicked out of the gym for your attitude towards the staff on multiple occasions. I'll talk to anyone about the gym and why we make the decisions we do. Unfortunately a few entitled rotten eggs, such as yourself started to make the environment crappy for members trying to use sport specific equipment. Myself and my staff gave a lot of chances to correct this kind of behavior. I'd expect nothing less that not only did nothing change, but zero personally accountability is taken for actions within a public space. I'm sure people can make informed choices based on reality. If you walk around all day smelling sh*t it's time to check your feet. Good luck to your group with their new gym home. Edit Response: You cussed at a 19yr old kid about equipment being removed that wasn't removed at all, so completely false pretenses. It wasn't the first time. I talked to your coach about your entire groups attitude towards members, staff, and equipment. Why would I expect personal accountability for actions regardless of sex right? I literally have a rule on the door telling people to leave women alone and let them lift. I've kicked out members for disrespecting women and anyone whose anyone knows it including you. It is a waste of this gyms time and energy to try and accommodate people that hold themselves above everyone else in a public space full stop. That is why I asked all of you to leave the gym. Somewhere along the way you all felt that it was the gyms responsibility to personal cater to your sport and only your sport. I wish you all the best in your new space. And I hope you get the help you need to stop deflecting and minimizing your personal actions that led to the decision to ask you to leave.
Fantastic experience: Been going here for a year, really awesome gym. Owner clearly cares about members and wants to improve in areas when needed, i.e. recent additions to legs equipment. Only gripe I have is the increased day pass rate and the removal of free friend passes on Fridays, doesn't really affect me but I do like bringing my buds on Fridays for a good way to end the week.
Hey Matthew, appreciate the feedback on the new equipment, day passes, and bring a friend. I'm really happy that you're enjoying the new equipment. We have a bunch of specialty equipment, bars, machines, which is great. Unfortunately it seemed people were just dropping in locally to use the specialized equipment without being members. I felt like that wasn't fair to our members that pay in yearly to obtain and maintain that equipment, so I raised the price point. Bring a friend Friday was a great way for us to showcase the gym when we opened and we carried it for almost 8 years. With other places copy/pasting that perk we're moving it in a different direction. We'll do open gym once a month where anyone can come in whether they know a member or not and I'm working on an idea to add guest privileges to existing members accounts in the future. Thanks again for the review and hopefully I've given you some insight to where my head was at on those decisions
Negative experience: $20 for a day pass is bananas. Edit to respond: I did use the gym. The day pass price toward membership thing was explained to me. Regardless, the day pass price tag is still too high. About 100% too high, 10$ is reasonable. The equipment as in desperate need of a refresh. Gym is organized but does not feel especially clean. No one wipes equipment. Atmosphere? Meat Heads R Us. Lots of shirtless bros. Not that I mind that part too much. Gym is 3.5 stars, asinine day pass price brought it down to two.
Sorry you feel that way Ryan, but I don't really think that's a reflection on the quality of the equipment or atmosphere. All day passes can be placed towards membership dues and fees as well, which I'm sure was explained to you. Did you even use the gym or just decide to review based off not liking the day pass price point? EDIT: I appreciate you taking the time to respond Ryan. It's clear you've put a lot of effort into your star system. I'm not sure how we'll recover from your personal assessment of the gym, but we'll do our best to carry on.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting NW Arkansas since late March ‘24. I wanted a no-nonsense local gym where I could continue to work on my goals. I found this spot on Google Maps and stopped by to check it out. Coming from LA, I was blown away by how much equipment and space there was at OIG. I never had to wait for a station because there’s just so many available. I hit new PRs on a couple exercises during my few months here, in part because I never had to change my plan due to unavailable equipment. The staff were great - particularly Jacob, who was always available to answer questions about my membership, or to help me learn about different equipment or exercises. And they play solid music, which is a bonus. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense gym where you can just work out and get back to whatever’s going on in your life - this is the place. Highly recommend.
Really appreciate the positive feedback and that you're enjoying the gym
Positive experience: Very happy with this gym, all the equipment you'll ever need without the fluff and there's hardly ever a wait for machines or weights. I'd say my only complaint is there is no grace period if your payment does not go through for the month for whatever reason and the billing company tacks on a $15 late charge regardless of the time, so it's more like a bounce fee/nsf charge than a late fee. Other than that, great gym, always clean and updating their equipment with nothing broken.
Hey Jacob, unfortunately we have no control over the billing companies late fees. Every billing company we've used has had similar or larger fees. Best case scenario on that is to do ACH and then if something ever happens with a card it won't effect it
Fantastic experience: Greatest gym ever...
Fantastic experience: Great gym! I visited from out of town. Guest pass was reasonably priced. The gym overall may be one of the cleanest and most organized gyms that I've been to. If you are a gym rat that likes clean and organized gyms, this is your place.
Hey Abraham, appreciate you stopping in. Thank you for noticing that we keep it clean and organized. Our members help with that as well by following our 3 rules. Drop in again next time you're in town
Fantastic experience: I started workout here since 2021.9, love it.
Fantastic experience: I really appreciate the day pass, it's perfect for a traveler like me to get a good workout in when I'm not at home. The gym was very well stocked, the people were super nice and the energy was great. Everything was clean, put away, etc. What more could you ask for?
Fantastic experience: 1. The atmosphere is awesome and the people are cool 2. The staff has always been really nice and happily spot me if I ask 3. The equipment is top notch and the upkeep is great. You can tell the people inspect the equipment and see if it’s good
Negative experience: I really did not want to have to write this review… I was a member at Ozark for 3 years. I am rating this gym 1 star. I am taking the average of two categories to derive this rating. 1. The gym and 2. The Management. The gym gets 4 stars, and the management gets -2 stars. I took the average to get a 1-star total. The gym is cool and has everything you would ever need. I have enjoyed working out here for the past 3 years. I began my membership here because I wanted to support a small business. I could have easily taken my money and joined another gym for about ¼ of the monthly membership cost but then again, I wanted to support a veteran owned small business. Unfortunately, the sunshine and rainbows end there. The management at this gym heavily lacks professionalism and business ethics. You would think a veteran owned business would prioritize these qualities but that unfortunately is not the case here. You can see the lack of professionalism and respect in the Google Review responses from the owner as well as many of the Instagram posts. If you’re not a member of the small powerlifting circle at this gym, you can kiss all respect and kindness goodbye. My last straw with this gym stemmed from my latest incident. Long story short, I was charged a $15 late penalty for an error that was beyond my scope of control and occurred on Ozark’s end. I have all of the proving transactions through my CC. When Ozark changed billing software’s, my payment info was switched to an old card of mine that expired. It was not the card on file prior to the software change. I called Ozark and after some investigating, I was informed that it was a late penalty for my card getting declined (due to an OLD card that hadn’t been on file prior to the software change.) To my surprise, I was told that they could not do anything about it nor offer me a $15 credit for the following month. They did mention it is a fee charged to them by the billing software agency and they do not collect the fee charged, but I’d expect them to make it right and at least offer me a credit since it was beyond my scope of control. Now, I am being charged $15 from Ozark due to an error on their end and beyond my personal control. Personally, it’s not a money issue but more so a matter of business ethics and principle. I contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this transaction. This must’ve made Will (the owner) very upset because this resulted in him cancelling my membership altogether. It is comical that they receive a complaint, then cancel a customer’s membership, especially after 3 years. No big deal though, I would rather give my money to a business that respects their clients. A business’s customer base is their single most important aspect of their business. A successful business shows respect and tries to work out solutions with their customers. Unfortunately for Ozark, this is far from the truth. With Crunch being so close, one would expect them to keep their customers happy. With many new gyms coming to the area (The Forum Barbell in early 2024), Ozark will be a small fish in a big ocean. They need to get their act together if they want to stay in business. I know I am not the only one that shares the same complaints. If you’re a college student, I would advise looking elsewhere. I am sure the owner will leave some arrogant and smart aleck response, but to each their own.
Hey Hunter, you filed a complaint with the BBB a few weeks ago over a service charge from your card being declined by the billing company. It's a complete lie that it was an old card we didn't update, which is why the BBB cleared it and we cancelled your membership. The $15 fee is applied by the billing company which was explained to you directly and then again when you filed a complaint with the BBB. It is not the gyms fee or charge. I can say I would expect nothing less than a complete lack of integrity to move forward and make a false claim in your review that we made a mistake with your billing. I can't upload photos to show the exchange with BBB, but you can if you have an ounce of integrity in your body.
Fantastic experience: If you find yourself in Fayetteville Arkansas and you gotta get your gains going or sweat through your sets Ozark Iron is a great choice. Low drop in rate of 10 bucks and all the equipment you need.
Thanks for stopping by Justin. Glad we had what you were looking for
Fantastic experience: In almost 30 years of working out i've never been in a gym this good. The free weights in here are unmatched by anything i've ever seen before. I don't even know how many bench presses and power racks there are but probably 15 or more of each. Lifting platforms in the back and dumbbells up to 150 lbs. There are more free weight pieces of equipment in here than most commercial chains have across their entire nationwide gym chains combined. As with any quality gym there is a board with members lift records. Wish I lived here to be able to train at this gym more often.
Adam, thanks so much for recognizing the time we've put in to equip the gym. Come back and see us next time you're in town
Fantastic experience: Awesome only one bike but never had to wait to use it! All of the equipment none of the crowd! Everyone is there working out so you don't have to wait on some youngsters phone to go dead before a bench is opens up! Plus only gym in nwa to have the nautilus lat pull over! It may be hammer strength but works same!
Glad you enjoyed the equipment and the environment
Negative experience: Buys trash equipment publicly trashed members and guests when their faulty equipment almost causes injury. What a trash heap
Such weak mental. It's a Texas strength systems mono. The bolts literally sheared on the footing from the drop. Using a mono without spotters is not smart.
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of visiting this gym while traveling for work. Im able to visit many different gyms on my travels and I can happily say ; I was lucky to have found Ozark Iron. This isn't your LA, Crunch, or Esporta, and I'm sure that's the way the owner and members like it. Ozark Iron is successfully keeping alive that old school appeal that has been lost in recent times. Though, I have to say, it is not old school in the sense the equipment is old and rusty and the owner doesn't want to put any money into it, so the gym just claims "old school". No, Ozark Iron has all the appeal and the equipment to match: all the deadlift platforms, squat racks, cables, free weights, machines, and open space you would need to get in a great work out. Additionally, i can happily say: this is not the place where you have to worry about Addison and Tristen side eyeing you like you just knocked over their starbucks non fat extra froth latte "pre work out" because you grunted mid set and your tomato-red head looks likes it gonna pop off bc your actually putting in some work.- throw a scoop of RYSE in there Tristen and join the party. No, This feels like a place that respects the grind and welcomes the struggle. From PR's written on the walls in chalk, soon to be erased and re-written I'm sure, to chalk hand prints 10ft up the wall(BTW Ozark who TF u got there jumping that high lol) to the friendly and inviting staff( I was there on a Tuesday night for the lady and gentleman that were very kind and excited about where they worked)- This gym screams pride in the progress. No frills, just what u need to get gritty. So if your in the area, I suggest you give this place a visit, put in some work, and start writting your name up on that wall. Great gym, great experience. Thank you staff, and thank you Ozark Iron. I will be back.
Ian thanks so much for the in depth review my man and I got a couple of laughs from reading as well. I really appreciate the fact that you can tell I put a lot into the environment of the gym and keeping it about the grind. I hope to see you next time you're in the gym
Negative experience: I supported this gym since I first moved to NWA, recommended it to everyone who was looking for a great place to workout and even posted it on my social media accounts. I had nothing but incredible experiences with the staff and all of the members, then one day I came in to workout after having been gone for months and found out I was banned. I was extremely embarrassed, but I am a small time celebrity in some circles, and I have stalkers who have gone to businesses before and have made complaints about me, so I politely left and asked for the owner to contact me so I could resolve the issue. The complaint stated that I had been harassing women, which never happened. Again, I hadn’t even been there for months prior to the complaint, so I assumed it was just a simple misunderstanding. Since then I have reached out to try to resolve the issue again and I have been refused. I understand that a private business has every right to refuse service, so I’m not upset at all by their decision to keep me out. What I am saddened by is the complete lack of professional courtesy. I am a combat veteran and a father who believes in direct communication. My intent in writing this review is not to ruin anyone’s business, but rather to let other people that are considering going here know how disrespectfully and poorly conflict is handled in this gym. Conflict is commonplace in gyms like this and I hope that it is handled better in the future.
Here's the truth. You haven't been a member of our gym in over a year and a half. A woman came to our gym from another club because of her being harassed by you, her words. We don't tolerate creeps here period. It didn't happen in our gym, but we banned you from our gym because of it. You called Sunday evening and lied to my employee saying I gave you permission to workout. I spoke with that employee who then reached out to you to let you know that you were banned from our gym. You gave her your number demanding I call you. I didn't do that. 20 minutes later you made this review. Sounds to me like you had a temper tantrum because we told you no. There is no conflict here. It's me protecting my female members, period.
Negative experience: Your contract will not be honored.
I'm assuming your the college kid who asked for a refund because you joined another gym within a few days of signing up for a year agreement with ours. You're welcome for us not charging your buy out fee you entitled child
Positive experience: Is it the absolute best bodybuilding gym I’ve ever been to? No, but it’s clean, well maintained, reasonably priced, and the staff is polite. They have a pretty good selection of your standard classic machines and also some fancy ones. I’d definitely go back.
Fantastic experience: Tons of equipment. A touch crowded.
Fantastic experience: Great gym! Fair mix of bodybuilding, powerlifting, and Strongman equipment with the lion's share being Legend Fitness equipment.
Fantastic experience: This place is the “only” gym I would and could give 5 stars. I travel a lot and hit gyms all over the country. Great equipment great staff and atmosphere. Iron and sweat, easy to stay motivated in this gym.
Really appreciate the review. Good to know we're setting the bar for quality
Fantastic experience: Free weights: 10/10 Equipment: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Best gym in NWA no doubt.
Positive experience: Overall pretty good first experience. They were having trouble with their computer system though which cause a wait of 20+ mins. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, but still a great gym
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. Wish they would play more metal like the old building but still great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: I competed an a USPA powerlifting meet here. It is a fantastic gym with great folks. Meet was one of the best I have competed at in part to such a great facility and great staff. Set 3 national records so that says a lot!
Fantastic experience: Ozark Iron gym tops my list of gyms I've been apart of. I feel at home here and the folks that train here are good people.
Really glad the atmosphere is on point for you
Positive experience: Great gym, great atmosphere. However, called multiple times weeks prior to try and cancel a month to month membership and never got an answer. Called the day I was billed, still no answer. I then canceled in person and was told there was no missed calls so I showed the gentleman at the front desk the calls I had made in my call log. Called again two days later to see if they would refund me and was told they could do absolutely nothing about it. Never was able to speak to the person in charge.
Fantastic experience: Not only a great place to gain mass but the staff is awesome. I forgot to change out of my dress shirt due to my absolute obsession with becoming the sultan of swole. Instead of turning me away due to some dress code *cough PF cough* they gave me a free shirt. As soon as I put in on my triceps grew three sizes and I was instantly injected with 3 scoops of whey protein and pre work out. If you wanna become the Gilgamesh of Gains try this gym on for size.
Thanks Tyler, really love that you're enjoying the gym. We're a gym fam here and always here to help with the gains
Fantastic experience: Awesome , newly dx type 1 diabetic , plenty of room to take a break if needed !
Glad you're loving the gym!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in NWA, open about fees and multiple options if you don't want to commit to a year
Fantastic experience: When you see classic pw our bb photos of those repurposed former commercial spaces where you imagine 90s rock playing while men scream and throw weights after sets, this is it. It's classic gold's.
Fantastic experience: Great environment, top-notch equipment, knowledgeable staff, & reasonable rates. Its just plain and simple a better gym than the other gyms I've seen in this town.
Thanks so much for appreciating what we bring to the table and being a part of the gym
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym I love the community here.
Fantastic experience: Lots of barbell equipment and space to deadlift, which is must for me. In previous gyms I've had to wait on the one squat rack. The presence of the gigaChads working on their PRs is very motivating (read: I finish my workout as fast as I can before anyone notices how scrawny I am lol). The gym also plays good music over the speakers, so if I forget my headphones I'm not stuck trying to max out my deadlift to Billy Joel! There's no AC, but something tells me this is a feature, not a bug. I give this gym a 10, which is also my one-rep max for the bench press.
Appreciate the love Nick and I'm really glad you're enjoying the vibe in the gym. Those monsters are actually a great resource for lifting technique and tips. Use that advantage of the community in Ozark Iron man. It'll take you from speeding through your workout to hanging out and smashing weight
Negative experience: just no.
You use the gym and never bother to review the atmosphere or equipment. Fast forward a year and you call to say you cancelled. I talked to you personally and explained there were zero notes on the account to show you had cancelled. There's not much I can do there. You do you though. Reap what you sow
Fantastic experience: Staff are always nice, and don’t mind giving you tips or even helping you with a spot. Place is kept clean. If weightlifting is what you are coming for no other place in the area comes close to this gym in terms of quality. Cardio section is a bit underwhelming but easily worth the trade off in weights. Also the owner is a nice and down to Earth guy. The only recommendations I would make would be granting 24/7 access to members, but I understand there could be limiting factors that make that difficult or not possible. Overall this is easily my favorite gym in the area.
Negative experience: Fake weights
Maybe you should pay your outstanding bill and we can take care of cancelling your membership.
Fantastic experience: I’ve currently been a member at this gym since December of 2020 so roughly 9 months. This gym is perfect for people who love the classic old school style gym. If you’re a newbie, the atmosphere may be a little intimidating, but I assure you that everyone there has a great attitude and are always willing to help. During the busy hours it can get a little crowded, but I never have to wait long for equipment to open up and some members even ask if you want to work in with them! Overall great gym, great atmosphere, and great equipment.
Luke, thanks for being a member of the gym. It's great that the vibe and atmosphere in the gym are in tune with helping out/working-in. That's the gym way
Fantastic experience: I moved away and have been searching for a new gym. Through my searching I realized how great of a gym Ozark Iron is. The price point can’t be beat. I also loved the vibe and community I witnessed. I felt like people literally went to ozark to hangout with their friends and get big- it was awesome to see. I’m just an average guy who likes to stay in decent shape but this gym will cater to those who are more serious. Power lifting, body building, casual weight lifting, Functional fitness, this is the place you need to go. The owner invests in his members, but do everyone a favor and learn how to properly use the equipment. I got stronger here and you will too.
Man Kilby sucks that you moved away, but I really appreciate the love you're showing Ozark Iron. I'm glad the gym fam here could make you feel motivated and apart of the community. I hope you find a solid gym where you are to call home soon.
Fantastic experience: Great place to workout!!
Glad you're enjoying the gym! Thanks for being a part of Ozark
Fantastic experience: Nice place that's constantly updated and improved.
Fantastic experience: Hello Ozark I’m from NC, Wilkesboro here for Tyson Foods orientation week. This gym was very welcoming and kinda had that local home gym feeling great weights and very clean! & Great music choices!
Hey Alexander! Thanks for coming to see us while you were in town. Super happy to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere and weights. Hope to see you in the gym again next time you're in town
Fantastic experience: Love love love this gym me and my gf have been going here for about a month. From day one everyone was super welcoming! We are probably the smallest people in there lol but I love the atmosphere everyone is getting at it, the music is a plus as well! This gym has literally everything you need! Name a better gym in Fayetteville you can’t ha! :)
Hey! Really glad you're enjoying the gym, the music, the people, and the environment. Thanks so much for basically saying we're awesome. We work really hard to keep community at the forefront and quality equipment is paramount for us.
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. Everyone is welcome, but be ready... It's at the more serious end of the spectrum. Owner is an awesome guy, and great to interact with. Highly recommend this gym as part of your fitness journey.
Hey Stewart, thanks for the review! Good to know the vibe is everyone is welcome, but come ready to work hard
Fantastic experience: The owner, Will has created an awesome atmosphere. Great gym! Equipment is always clean and well kept. Probably not a place for everyone but if you take your training seriously and want to surround yourself around some strong lifters you love it. Lots of specially equipment for powerlifting, strongman, Condo. Will miss this place.
We're going to miss you and Ashley. It was great getting to chat with you before you left. Wish you all the best and hope to see you guys again soon
Fantastic experience: I honestly don't know how other gyms in the area can afford to stay open with this place being here. There is truly a family of folks in there and Will (the owner) treats everyone that walks through the door with the utmost respect. You won't find another gym anywhere like it. I've been to a few gyms in the last ten years and this is easily the best one I've ever been part of.
Hey Jonathan, thanks so much for your kind words, they're much appreciated. Thanks for being apart of the Ozark Iron Gym fam. Let's keep our community growing stronger and better
Fantastic experience: The best lifting atmosphere of any gym. Friendly faces and alot of knowledgeable guys and gals. Definitely the place to be to get in shape
Fantastic experience: It's a good size Gym, even when busy It doesn't feel crowded. It has up to date equipment and is a gym that allows for REAL progress.
Kory, I'm really glad you're enjoying the gym and seeing real progress!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for awhile, this gym will for sure help me become a world class powerlifter with the environment that I am working out in. I have been to many gyms but there are few that I actually feel like I belong to. Best gym in the Fayetteville area 100%
Hey Joey! Thanks for reviewing the gym. Gym family for sure is one of the best things about Ozark Iron in my opinion. Thanks for being apart of the awesome environment
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym. Newer, first rate equipment, plenty of space and great price.
Thanks Jeff, really appreciate it when the equipment gets highlighted
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym I love the community here.
The gym community is the most important feature. Appreciate your love and support
Fantastic experience: Nice gym, great atmosphere!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place, great staff, tons of powerlifing equipment
Fantastic experience: supportive community atmosphere with good prices and good equipment.
Fantastic experience: Old school Iron
Fantastic experience: Best gym in Fayetteville.
Fantastic experience: You're missing out if you go to any other gym in NWA. Extremely nice layout with plenty of equipment/benches/racks for everyone. I've been going religiously for two years now and I can say Will created something special here for sure. Might look intimidating from the outside but I promise everyone is extremely friendly and willing to give advice.
2 years strong! Thanks for talking about the environment and how friendly everyone is. I couldn't be more pleased with how you guys have helped our gym become a community. Always a good time at the house of iron
Fantastic experience: Real weights, real people. Equipment is all nice and well taken care of. Staff is great and helpful. Other members are encouraging and helpful as well. Also, you’re allowed to add songs to be blasted over concert speakers. I’m not sure about you, but being able to turn on whatever song you want and have it blasted, beats headphones any day of the week.
Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Denver, CO and realized I had never written a review for this awesome gym. I wish there was one just like it here! Seriously the best gym in the entire state of Arkansas. You won't find a more committed owner who puts your money to good use. New equipment is consistently added and maintained. Staff is on top of the cleanliness of the gym. The members here are extremely supportive and create a motivating environment. My only regret is that I can't give more than 5 stars.
Thank you so much for being a part of the gym while you guys were here. It was awesome getting to see you lift and fun hanging out hiking trails. It motivates me, fuels me, and keeps me focused to know that the gym impacted you in such a positive way. I really hope you find a good fam out there to lift with or at least get by until Ozark can make its way to Denver. Miss you guys already! Stay motivated!
Fantastic experience: Decided I would wait a couple months before I gave this gym a review. In the FAYETTEVILLE area most gyms want to sign you to long term contracts. This is the only gym that gave me a fair month to month price, which I needed because I am not from the area and am not sure how long I will be here. It's nice, the staff is nice and the equipment is even nicer. Everything you really need for a good powerlifting workout is here and there are always nice gym goers and staff that will spot you or answer questions if you have any. Also at certain parts of the day there are awesomely strong people that will let you hop in on a set with them and even give you advice on improving. Was pleasantly surprised. Overall great gym and good atmosphere for lifting and exercising.
Bryce, thank you for taking the time to review the gym. I couldn't be happier with the environment we've created and it's great to see that it shows to our members. I'm glad you chose Ozark Iron while you're here in the Northwest Arkansas area
Fantastic experience: Was in town for work and dropped in on my way to go hiking. Unreal atmosphere here. Super positive, people smashing PRs and having a good time. Plus only a 5$ drop in! Wish every gym was like this.
Thanks for stopping in David! Glad to hear that the atmosphere was on point. I wish every gyms drop in was $5.00 too.
Fantastic experience: Ok so, when it comes to gyms this is what I want! The atmosphere and the equipment is high level and admirable compared to other gyms I’ve been too. It’s hard to find gyms like these and it is something this town truly appreciates. Thank you so much Ozark Iron!
Thanks so much for mentioning the atmosphere and the equipment. It's something that I also think sets us apart from anywhere else. Thanks for being a part of the gym!
Positive experience: No shower ! Am out
Hey Gordon, First, thanks for your in depth articulate review of the gym. I tried looking you up in our member base to no avail. I'm assuming you used us at some point otherwise it would seem ridiculous to give your input based solely on a quick google search. You're right, we don't have showers and never have had the offering of showers. We're a no BS old school weight lifting gym. We lift weights here. We're not for everyone, but I'd like to think that our specialized equipment, 16k pounds of weight, turf, sleds and everything else we offer would be a better representation of our quality and something to review.
Hey! Really appreciate your review of the gym. It means a lot to know that the atmosphere and equipment are on point. Your gym, your music. I think it's a great thing that we can offer that feature. Thanks for being a part of the gym fam and helping us be awesome.
Fantastic experience: The best gym in Fayetteville. Period...
best trainers too! Thanks for being a part of what makes this place the best
Fantastic experience: Huge equipment selection and great feel/environment.
Thanks for the review Jared! I feel like the environment in a gym is everything, so it's good to know you get that vibe in Ozark.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in NWA
It's thanks to an awesome community of lifters
Fantastic experience: Hey buu uuftt
Positive experience: I had previously given this gym a bad review on account of the fact that my membership was terminated by an employee because I had left weights out on more than one occasion; having grown up in a private gym, this was a habit which I had formed, and I did it unconsciously. I would have corrected the habit if I had been made aware of my actions on more than one occasion -- of course, being unconscious of doing something means that one does not know when he is doing it. This is why it would have been nice if it had been brought to my attention more than once. I still think the termination was unjustified for the following reasons: [i] I was only approached about it once; [ii] I was given no warning leading into the termination; [iii] if either (i) had occurred again, or if (ii) had occurred at all, I would have been inclined to correct the habit. Instead, a particular employee used every violation in order to accumulate evidence against me (taking pictures, etc.), which he used to justify the termination. I do not know if the evidence was authentic (because, as I said, if I left weights again, I did so habitually and unconsciously). So, I think that the gym would benefit from a "warning system". After a member violates one of Ozark Iron Gym's three rules, they receive a penalty (maybe more than one for the third rule); after a set number of penalties, their subscription is terminated. Otherwise, the choice is the whim of an employee such as the one who terminated my own subscription. Notwithstanding, after exchanging emails with the owner of the gym, I do not think he made the decision, or else was convinced by the employee who gathered the "evidence". Seeing as the employee is likely only working here temporarily, and is the only person responsible for the premature termination, I will leave him out of account. I would rather support a classical style gym (as rare as they are) that allow an expendable employee to shed a negative light upon it. The subtracted star is for the lack of a proper "warning system". If I ever find out that one has been added, I will edit the review for a 5-star.
Kyler integrity is a big deal with me personally and something I try to portray with the way I run the gym. The 3 rules we have are there to keep the environment conducive of that. 1. Re-rack your weights, if it's loaded it means someone is using it, its common courtesy to return weights or work-in with each other. That's what a gym is supposed to be about. 2. Respect the space/people, this goes hand and hand with number one. 3. Don't be a creep to the females that lift in the gym, they're there to lift. These rules are the foundation for what our gym community has been built on and the integrity of our members to recognize making a mistake or helping another member correct one. It's understandable to be upset that your membership was terminated. I get it, it sucks, but no one went out of there way to make you look bad, you did that yourself. It's apparent with the nature of your review personally attacking an employee via the internet. I wish you all the best man and hopefully this is just a good learning tool moving forward.
Fantastic experience: Y'all... Ozark Iron Gym is legit. When you walk in it looks and feel like a meat head gym, but then you see the Power Hour class that is a mix of weights and cardio full of young women; many of whom are on the dance team at the U of A. And get this: none of the men were oogling them. The guys were all super focused on their workouts, and paying no attention to the beautiful women in yoga pants. It has an incredibly friendly and inviting atmosphere. They've got great trainers, and all of the equipment you could ever hope for.
Really glad you came to check us out!
Fantastic experience: It's like a university strength & conditioning facility. Brand new equipment, very clean! Stop looking around and just go there.
Fantastic experience: The best gym for powerlifting in northwest Arkansas. It's not too busy during the day either
Thanks for the review man. It means a lot to see people happy with the gym and you're right we're not too busy during the day
Fantastic experience: Great gym, with new equipment and no crowds
Thanks for the love Joe! The equipment is the most important detail to me on top of atmosphere, so I'm glad you took notice of it and enjoyed it.
Fantastic experience: I recently had to move to Dallas and wish I could've taken this place with me. You won't find a better powerlifting-friendly gym and better atmosphere with the best quality equipment in NWA. The owner, Will, knows how to run the place and always keeps everything in top shape. Him and the other staff always take care of everyone and are very friendly. Before walking in this place I didn't know how to lift properly or know what a proper gym should be. Now I find myself judging every other gym here in Dallas using Ozark as a standard. Join this place and change your life and your expectations!
Fantastic experience: Hands down the best in Fayetteville to train! People are nice and friendly and come from all walks of life. Will is a kickass dude and will do what he can to make your experience here a good one. Lots of strong dudes and dudettes training in this gym. Go check it out now!
Thanks for the review Mike. I love the community that we have grown here. Couldn't be happier with all you guys and girls supporting the gym.
Fantastic experience: Top notch gym! Great place to workout at. Lots of knowledgeable people, the staff are always pleasant, and more than willing to spot you.
Hey Kemp, thanks for the love man. Good gym community here, there will always be a spot.
Fantastic experience: Great facility, members share a mutual respect for each other not found anywhere else. There's something for everyone here.
Really appreciate the review Nathan. I'm glad we're a community where respect is given to everyone and not just another fitness center.

Man I'm really going to miss you Rick. It makes me super psyched that you got so much out of the gym and that you grew as a lifter. Looking forward to seeing your gains continue in Dallas and don't be a stranger man we can always game it up even across state lines.
Positive experience: It's usually hot in there, no locker room. But it's good place to workout if you are a powerlifter or weightlifter.
Hey Ahmad we do have locker rooms, but I definitely need to label them because you're the 2nd person that hasn't found them. I'll show you today when I see you in the gym. Thanks for the feedback
Positive experience: Good weightlifting gym. No gerbil machines or immodestly dressed women, although one guy had his shirt off. Seriously, dude you can still do cable crossovers with a tank top. Needs a second set of dumbbells. Plenty of benches
Hey Richard thanks for the review. Agree that a second set of dumbells would be great for the gym. I've put 12 new pieces and a turf strip in within the first year of being open. What's made that possible is my members contributing through their membership and annual dues. If you sign-up with the gym it would definitely help us get there faster.
Positive experience: Meat head gym with lots of powerlifting equipment
Hey Ryan, I remember signing you up a couple of days ago. Hopefully that means you're liking it.
Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been to multiple gyms in NWA and none have felt like home until we got to Ozark Iron. Everybody here is serious about training and it all starts with the owner. He listens to what people say about equipment and he actually puts money back into the gym in the form of new equipment and bars. Couldn't be happier. Ozark Iron's worst bar is still better than most gyms best bar.
Really glad you guys are enjoying the gym. Some days it's really stressful, but with the strong community we're building with our members it's all worth it. Money will always be put towards improving the gym, equipment, and events.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym, it's full of serious lifters I never have to wait to use equipment because there's plenty of benches and machines for everyone. Once people are done with their sets they move on so the next person can use the equipment. Also very knowledgeable athletes in there that help with the gym to host lifting competitions for the gym. Brand new equipment, the gym is kept clean and friendly staff.
Glad you're enjoying the place. We will continue to do competitions, seminars, and improve. I look at it as a gym community where we're all working together for the same common goal, gains and improved lifting
Fantastic experience: Obviously my opinion is bias because I own this gym. I put my heart and soul in this place and it shows. Come be a part of something more than just another fitness center.
Fantastic experience: The best to get serious about fitness. Awesome atmosphere, old school mindset of strength training, & a fantastic staff.
Fantastic experience: Great old school gym. Nothing but free weights!
Glad you enjoy the gym man and that the old school feel is coming through. We're building a gym community here in NWA, happy you're a part of it.
Fantastic experience: I've only been going here for the past 3 weeks and I already consider it the best gym I've ever been to. Will who is the owner is a super chill dude, you can tell by just having a conversation with him that he cares about giving people a great place to lift and get in shape as opposed to just filling his pockets with cash. The gym is great and there's the right amount of equipment to do what you need to do, plenty of press stations, squat racks, dumbbells, etc. And he's adding more soon. All in all, I give it 5 stars without hesitation, can't thank Will enough for providing such a great atmosphere to workout in!
Awesome to hear you're loving the gym. I'm really happy I'm showing how much I care about this place in conversation. It's support like this from the gym community that makes this place thrive.
Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable owner, I'm a personal trainer and a crossfit coach, went in to talk with him, and this gym is legit.
Man really appreciate that Zach! There's always room for me to learn more, but that's what I love about fitness.
Fantastic experience: This gym is the best place to get a real workout in. Great equipment! You could not find a better owner! This is the gym that you want to go too!
Thanks a lot Blake. It's responses like this from the gym community that make me feel like we're doing things right here.
Fantastic experience: Probably the coolest gym in that area. Not that packed, great new equipment, owner is pretty much the nicest guy ever, and the place is SUPER clean. If you are a real lifter you will definitely go here. It's not as large, but it's got everything you need for a solid workout.
Fantastic experience: This gym is easily the best around Fayetteville. In my 4 years in NWA, I used the HPER at the University, Powerhouse before it went under, Fitness 4 Less, and World's Gym, but Ozark Iron Gym was hands-down the best experience I have ever had at a gym. To start, Will, the owner, is an extremely friendly guy and cares about creating an amazing atmosphere for his members; he can often be found at the gym and is easy to approach and converse with. The equipment in this gym is in excellent condition. Moreover, no matter what type of program you are on, Ozark Iron Gym has the equipment. Plenty of squat and bench racks, two platforms for deadlifts or clean and jerks, farmer's and yoke carry equipment, and Atlas Stones. Finally, the monthly membership dues are top notch for the value. I recently moved out of state and, to join an equivalent gym, I need to pay double or more. So, whether you are looking for your very first gym or you are considering switching, I highly encourage you to swing by and take a look around. You won't regret it.
Really appreciate all your positive feedback about the gym. Hated that you had to move away, but wish you all the best and know you'll always have a place here at the house of iron
Fantastic experience: Come here if you want to lift! Locally owned, none of that chain bs, friendly owner. Just opened, new equipment made in America! Good value! Only place like it in NWA.
Happy to have you and Brittany as part of the Ozark Iron family man. Really appreciate the review. We're only going to get better.

Hey Chelsea, really glad you guys liked the gym. You'll have to stop back by next time you're in town because Belt Squat and Reverse Hyper coming next month!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in NWA!
Thanks man! Really happy you're liking the gym. We're going to keep adding equipment this coming year!
