Positive experience: Had my daughters fourth birthday party at this location. The price was very reasonable. The staff was kind; great experience overall. FYI: The party room is upstairs and in the summer months it can be really warm inside.

Fantastic experience: My 16 month old started recently and she’s having a blast at the mommy and me classes!

Negative experience: Upon arriving I wasn’t sure if I was in the correct place as it looked like it hadn’t been open in years from the outside. Wasn’t sure if I even wanted to go in but decided to give it a shot. The set up is really odd. The fact you have to sit in some folding chairs and try to look through some tinted glass to try to watch your kid in class or a tv that is split in 4 screens so you can’t even tell who is who is the craziest thing ever. Why’s the glass even there. The older gentleman who I assume is the owner kept trying to tell people to go upstairs they just finished remodeling it. I went up there it was an extremely hot wood box with another tv split in 4 to watch your kid. Why is the wall not opened up so parents could stand up there and look down and actually see your kids!? The cameras don’t even cover the whole gymnastics floor when my daughter was in the back half I couldn’t see her at all and wasn’t sure she was even still in the building. This day and age we want to be able to feel comfortable our kids are in a safe place and be able to see them at all times when we choose too. The outdated facilities, trophies from 2015, the extremely hot building and sauna of a viewing room with a tv only leaves a lot to be desired with this facility.

Fantastic experience: Sports Academy Gymnastics is the best place to go in Beaufort. They are a great team to work with, and they came out to support the military kids for Month of the Military Child at our school's carnival. Thank you Sports Academy Gymnastics!

Fantastic experience: My two girls love it!!! Madison (8) has so enjoyed the Tumbling class she can't wait to go every Thursday evening. I have watched her from day one on the AMAZING ZOOM footage and she is getting better each time. Coaches are just wonderful with her. Ellie is only 3 years old and she is very very very rambunctious...ok hyper...the Gyminee Krickets is great for her. The class allows mothers/fathers watch from a room inside while toddlers are learning and do activities. It allows them to go out on the floor to help if/when the little ones having a bad day. I strongly recommend Sports Academy Center to all parents who have children to give it a try!! Who knows you may have a natural that will become the next Shawn Johnson or Simone Biles.

Fantastic experience: Great people that run it. Daughter loves going to classes so much she doesn't want to leave. Accomodating with needing to change class dates and works with your kiddos other extracurriculars.

Fantastic experience: We are brand new to a town near by and we have a local gym we could have chose but we actually drive 40 mins to Sports Academy instead of the 5 minutes to our local gym! They accepted our daughter right away and she felt like she was part of a family again! After losing our home in a hurricane and moving a few times to find the perfect spot she needed this! Coach Robyn is a pleasure to work with and always helpful and available! We are so happy to be here! Our daughter has learned so much in her short time there so far and is truly growing more each day! She is happy, growing, smiling, and counting down the days to her next class! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This is such an amazing gym to enroll your child in. My daughter has been attending 2 and half years now and has learned amazing skills and discipline. She is now competing and loving every minute of it.

Many time slot options for my daughter to attend classes which is helpful for a working family trying to balance time and availability, plus camps and parents night out is amazing.

Fantastic experience: My kid loves coming here. Since she's started I have seen so many good changes for her. Her coordination is better, she more confident, outgoing, healthier, and she's learning that getting good at things take practice.

Fantastic experience: This gym is more than meets the eye. Crazy well equipped with the best coaches in the low country. If you want your child to learn and excel in gymnastics this is the place to be.

Fantastic experience: My daughter did a trial class in January and immediately wanted to go back for more! The registration was easy and communication quick and concise. The staff has been nothing but nice to my daughter and I feel completely comfortable with the safety guidelines they have established. Gymnastics is now a hot topic of conversation in my house thanks to our weekly lessons.

Fantastic experience: My kids have really enjoyed this gym! I had to switch to this one, a place over in Hilton head off beach city was yuck in comparison.I highly recommend switching if you aren’t happy where you are, or trying this place if you are new, can’t go wrong here. The owner is great!

Fantastic experience: Sports Academy Gymnastics has been the best Gymnastics place for my daughter that I am so glad and thankful for the coaches there that has patience and very trustworthy for them to train my daughter. I have never had any problems with any of the coaches! My daughter just loves and adore all of them there. They are all so very nice, friendly and always put a smile in their faces when you enter the building! So I definitely give Sports Academy Gymnastics 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: We Love Sports Academy Gymnastics! My daughter is part or the Sparklers team and she loves going to practice and meets. We also enjoy parents night out on Friday night occasionally. Even my son enjoys going on Friday night while Mom & Dad enjoy a good meal!

Fantastic experience: My daughter (7yrs old) has been attending Sports Academy Gymnastics for about 1.5 yrs. She began with the preschool program and has progressed to the Firecracker pre-team in that timeframe. She has learned so much in such a short time and has gained confidence in the sport. We also love the coaches and staff! They are kind, supportive, encouraging and very knowledgeable about the sport. There is a lot of focus on technique, proper form, and foundational skills. My daughter enjoys learning the JO routines to music and Level Skills. They also have extra activities such as Parent’s Night Out, Open Gym, and camps when school is not in session. There are always opportunities for “extra” gymnastics time! My daughter continues to gain strength, skills, discipline and has so much fun in each class. We are looking forward to many more years here! ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: Great staff and surprising amount of equipment once you walk in and see the gym. Might not look like a lot from the outside (its an older building) but the gym itself is well equipped. The staff are enthusiastic and you can tell they really enjoy what they do!

Negative experience: In rural area, no AC, cannot see child through the window, must sit on gross bleachers that smell, unfriendly to rude staff. Not sure how it has good reviews, perhaps the coaches are great but I wouldn’t know. No one at front desk and had to find someone to ask when and how my child would be able to attend her first trial class. Coach Robyn did reach out regarding me taking my child early, which was a security concern on their end, as well as mine. I appreciate the small business feel in regards to reaching out to potential clients but the general unprofessional appearance and questionable business responses reaffirm my choice to not continue with classes.

Negative experience: I can only speak to this place as a Mom who attended the Mommy and me classes for ages 2 and under. The gymnasium itself is old and run-down with many lazily executed repairs to much of the interior and the equipment. Plenty of hazards for young children, I'm not sure how they get away with having this class but it's clearly just a side venture for them to make extra money. They don't update their website or Facebook pages to reflect class cancellations, they want you to register on their portal so you can receive an email update..sometimes, new customers would never know. Nice enough people but with horrible business practices. If they invested a little more money in the building and added basic customer services this place might be worth it.
