Fantastic experience: Wish I would have taken a class sooner!!! These workouts kick your booty & the community of women is amazing! Amazing mamas to watch your littles while you workout (one of the only options with childcare in beaufort)! This studio is a blessing in my life! CHECK IT OUT!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to BBF for a couple months now and I love it there! I enjoy all their classes especially the "power flow" yoga. The barre classes are a great way to get in shape using your own body or light weights. I feel like I got a great workout and my muscles feel it. They provide different modifications for exercises in case you need them. I hate going to the gym but I feel comfortable at BBF and appreciate the feminine energy from the staff as well as the other women in the room alongside with me. They make working out fun! The owner, Annie, is very helpful! I had some questions about my membership & she was easy to communicate with over email.

Fantastic experience: I’m from out of town and have attended Balance a few times. I have always enjoyed the classes I’ve taken each time visiting the studio. Last night I attended the monthly Buti Yoga class. It was my first time and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was very impressed with the fun factor, the packed room was filled with positive, welcoming vibes! Great instructor kept the energy up and fun. Would very much recommend. As a plus they provided lavender ice towels and that sealed it.

Negative experience: I would like to preface by saying I’m a stay at home mom of four, two biological children and two who I am in the process of adopting. I have a one year old son, because my husband is a service member we don’t have family in the area to assist with childcare. On Friday, I dropped my one year old son off in the childcare center, he started crying as he usually does but will generally calm down after about 15 minutes. This is not an unusual occurrence for a young child in a strange place. I went on to class, after a few minutes a lady came to get me and said “your son is crying and he’s making other children cry too.” She went on to say “this is my class time too that’s being interrupted.” I told her “okay go ahead and go to class and I’ll hold my son.” I sat in the childcare room the entire class because I felt uncomfortable and purplexed by her condescending tone and didn’t want further confrontation with her. I told myself I’ll simply attend class at a different time in the future to avoid future contact with her. I didn’t know until yesterday after class that the lady who made these remarks is actually the owner. It should be noted that she made no attempts to credit another childcare session to me or to speak with me about the incident period. Yesterday (Monday) I attended the morning class and was immediately met with a cold shoulder from another employee I’ve never met. I asked her “have we met?” She said “no but I’ve seen you before.” She asked me “how long does he typically nap” and proceeded to inform me that today isn’t her workday but she’s filling in for another employee who has sick children. I had the feeling things weren’t going to go well but against my better judgment I went to class anyway and left my son asleep in his car seat in the childcare room. When I returned after class to get him it was clear that the childcare provider was upset, she asked “is this his nap time?” I informed her his nap time is typically around 11, not 10 but we woke up early this morning, she said “ I was thinking this was his nap time. I was going to tell you it might not be a good time for him to come. I was afraid another child was going to pounce on him.” I’m unsure what he did other than cry because he’s not mobile enough to walk yet. I was taken aback by her comments and didn’t want to engage so I didn’t inquire further. After finding out that the lady who spoke down to me on Friday was the owner, I can only assume they have chose not to afford my one year old son a grace period to adjust to childcare, which is only 45 minutes to an hour. I’ve also noticed glaring looks and strange body language from another lady who I now know is also an employee. It’s really unfortunate that I had such a poor experience with childcare because some of the other instructors are so considerate and helpful. I understand that caring for a distraught child can be difficult but the situation could’ve been handled with the respect and dignity that we all deserve. The owner behaving this way and setting this type of example for her employees is a deal breaker for me. I really enjoyed the classes but I cannot in good conscience return.

Fantastic experience: This studio is wonderful! They offer a variety of barre, yoga, and other classes taught by fun and motivating instructors.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Balance Barre and Fitness for a little over a year and have nothing but positive things to say. Annie (the owner) and her team have not only created a beautiful and inviting space work out in, but also a true community who is so supportive no matter where you are in your fitness journey. The studio itself has all the equipment you may need (mats, weights, bands, blocks, etc.), offers childcare for several classes throughout the week, and sells retail! Every instructor has a unique teaching style, brings fun and challenging moves into each class, and offers modifications so you never feel like you have to push your body past its limits. I also love how Balance frequently offers fun pop-up classes in partnership with other local businesses such as Shellring Ale Works, Urban Brew + Co, and Higher Ground Outfitters. The studio has helped make Beaufort home since moving here last summer, and I would recommend it to everyone!

Recently postpartum with my first child, Balance has helped me gain back my strength with their low impact classes! I’m so grateful to be able to workout again as Balance offers childcare across various class formats and times! It has been an amazing experience to be able to workout and know my child is being looked after by the kindest and most caring people.

Fantastic experience: Words simply cannot put into perspective how much I love and cherish Balance Barre and all the instructors I have had the pleasure to meet thus far. This business has totally transformed the way I feel about working out. My fitness journey has really taken off since I became a member here. Not only have I lost weight and managed my stress, I have made friends and found a home here, a space I feel confident and comfortable every time I workout. Annie is awesome and takes time with her clients to help any way she can and her classes are superb. Megan and Sarah are magnificent and Helped me really get into Barre. Jess V. And her yoga class is my go to for a stellar yoga experience, she helped me improve my skills and also was sure to congratulate me along the way as I make improvements and accomplish new poses. I could go on but I will end with saying thank you! I would not be where I am today mentally or physically without y’all. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to barre at Balance Barre & Fitness in October 2019 and haven't looked back. Every morning when I wake up knowing that I have a class that I've signed up for, I look forward to going all day! Annie, the owner and instructor, along with all of the instructors, are highly trained, motivated and very friendly! The studio location and space is perfect! There is plenty of room with high ceilings and a wonderful atmosphere! Give it a try....it will change your life!❤

Fantastic experience: I left Michigan and came to Beufort to rework both my body and mind after a long year of COVID lock down This what I found... a community of women at the studio very friendly and supportive, teacher’s that are highly trained and really know how to kick some butt! Sure the classes are hard ,but the teachers make sure your having fun as well. I did 24 Barr classes in a row! Came out on the other side, toned arms, Strong core muscles,and a more formed,can I say backside? And lost 5 lbs to boot! I plan on returning next March as well, and can’t wait To return to my Beufort family!—

Fantastic experience: Just started doing classes to switch things up. And I took Annie’s barre and yoga barre so far. And both were exactly what I needed. I’ve been to barre classes before and this was the most welcomed I’ve ever felt joining a fitness class. We also did the yoga barre class outside!

Fantastic experience: I LOVED the feel of the studio. I dislike "template" classes that can sometimes be found in franchise gyms. Balance is the real deal, they provides modifications and enhancements to EVERY pose and movement. I had lost my motivation to take care of my body & challenge my body. I went to ONE class and my fire is back!! Thank you! My only regret, I didn't try the studio sooner.

Fantastic experience: I love The versatile class choices and all of the instructors really care and push you to do better each time. The price is affordable and they offer childcare for no additional cost which is unheard of. I have been going for two months and see dramatic differences in my body. I no longer have back pain and I feel stronger than I've ever felt.

Fantastic experience: BBF has provided so many wonderful options during the pandemic, virtual live classes, in person classes with distancing, etc., outdoor classes in beautiful locations and on demand classes. Recently I began taking advantage of the on demand classes and have especially enjoyed the Barre classes and HIIT classes. HIIT is a recent addition and something I felt I needed. Jordyn and Annie have provided demanding and beneficial classes. What a great combo of classes!

I have been promoting BBF at my home gym as a great compliment to our group workouts. Everyone I have met has been super enthusiastic about their role, either as instructor or student. I am super excited that I finally reached out to expand my fitness universe.
