Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many gyms in my life, working at some as well, and i can say with 100% certainty that Powerhouse Mahwah is the best. The machines are top of line and kept in phenomenal condition. From a plate loaded pendulum squat to a plate loaded incline machine fly, they have it all. The staff is my favorite part of the gym: they make it feel like a tight knit community, like you are part of something more than a gym. They also maintain the most sanitary gym environment i have seen: no weights are left out, machines and other equipment are regularly wiped down and the bathrooms are keep as cleanly as possible. Matthew Carroll and Troy Pressini, two of my favorite employs, are constantly evolving as the gym does always coming up with innovative solutions such as the powerlifting room and adapting the gym layout with the influx of new members. Fantastic experience: I was traveling for work and got to use a 3 Day pass for this gym. The staff was very friendly, they have more than enough equipment, and I even went to all my nyc friends and boasted about how much better this gym was regarding Equipment amount within the gym size. I was very impressed and will be recommending this gym to any of my NJ friends in the area.

I went to several gyms in the are and this by far was my favorite. The equipment is great, the people are friendly, and it’s very clean, which I appreciate. I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I recently changed from Lifetime fitness in Montvale to Powerhouse gym about 3 weeks ago. Lifetime fitness was great, but I was spending $170/month and rarely took advantage of the amenities. Powerhouse is amazing - the staff are friendly, the premises are clean and the machines are incredible (vertical leg press, pendulum leg press, etc.). If you're looking for a place that will motivate you to work harder and give you a genuine gym experience, Powerhouse is the place for you. Although I miss the $16,000 treadmills at Lifetime (yes, they really cost that much!), I have found my new gym and I'm loving it.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a great choice! It has a lot of room, a variety of equipment, tidy changing rooms and powerful showers. The front desk staff are very helpful and can answer any queries you have. It can get a bit crowded at peak times, but it soon clears up and there is plenty of room.

Fantastic experience: For close to two decades I have worked out regularly in a home gym. I have visited many, especially in northern New Jersey, but there’s only one that I would endorse and fully support in the Bergen county area, and that is Erik Santiago‘s Powerhouse Gym in Mahwah New Jersey. Its spacious and extremely immaculate facility has nearly any machine you can imagine, with grappling and CrossFit space, as well as hot yoga and other workout areas. A great atmosphere for serious training, with personal trainers that gladly help those in need of advice and support. I could not recommend more strongly, Powerhouse Gym. I urge you to stop by and check it out. You will be happy you did.

Fantastic experience: I'd like to preface by saying I grew up in Southern Bergen County and was fortunate enough to attend Strong & Shapely for nearly 15 years When my wife I moved up north, we struggled to find something that met our needs. We bounced from gym to gym with no luck. My father had gone to Eric's facility in South Hackensack and pointed me in his direction. It was the best decision we could have made. Eric is a hands on owner who ensures the guests are comfortable and the equipment is state of the art. The staff is more than helpful and the facility is always clean. The clientele is serious about why they are there and the overall atmosphere is inspiring. If you live in the area or work nearby, don't waste your time looking elsewhere. You will not find a better gym. Thanks, Eric for giving us what we needed.

Fantastic experience: Powerhouse of Mahwah is by far the best gym that I’ve joined. The owner is friendly and helpful, the gym is always kept very clean, the wide range of classes is awesome and the staff is very nice and helpful as well. Can’t ask for a better place to workout!!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start? Top notch facility and staff. The owner is wonderful, knowledgeable and a great guy. The trainers are on their A game too! The equipment is the best I have ever seen by far. My teenager daughter and I highly recommend coming here. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Gym is very clean/spacious and everyone that goes here is mad respectful towards others and they clean up after themselves. 24/7 access which is a huge plus because no restrictions and you can always get a workout in no matter what the work schedule is. Front desk staff is always friendly, they know your name and are always willing to keep you informed. Trainers are knowledgeable and make an effort to get to know you and your goals. Best equipment, immaculate in cleansiness. Owner Erik is always ensuring he says hi to members and even ensures place is clean. There are so many classes to choose from. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a ton of gyms in my lifetime. Never have i ever enjoyed a gym as much as this one. The staff is remarkable and go out of there way to help. Friendly clean environment. I call it my home away from home. You are missing out if you haven’t tried the place.

Fantastic experience: From the minute I walked in the gym over a month ago, everyone has been insanely nice, accommodating and genuinely caring. The facility is always immaculately clean with amazing equipment to choose from. I have been working with one of the trainers, Toni. She’s amazing and super knowledgeable, tailoring workouts to my specific needs. Trainers even check in and give tips when they walk around the gym between clients. Can’t beat the price, either. I would recommend this gym to anyone regardless of fitness level.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a variety of equipment for every level. Claire maintains the cleanliness of the entire gym on a consistent basis. I’ve never experienced such a well maintained & clean gym before. The staff is amazing & friendly from Laura at the front desk to the trainers who are constantly helping members to the owner, Erik (who consistently goes out of his way to greet his members). By far, the best gym I’ve ever joined.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to gyms for 35 years and Mahwah Powerhouse is the cleanest, friendliest, best equipped gym I've ever been to. The staff is very friendly and the trainers are awesome. And the Owner is one of the nicest--ost friendliest people I've ever met. Whoever is writing these negative reviews are phonies. I live 5 minutes from this gym and I'm there everyday, and have only had awesome workouts. So whoever is writing this nonsense has probably never been there. Or for some reason, is making up BS. The place is awesome! Do yourself a favor and see the place, and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Fantastic experience: Prob the cleanest gym and most up to date equipment everyone is friendly it’s what every gym needs to look like the meals ready to eat are such a convenient thing not to mention they taste amazing I definitely highly recommended to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Everyone is family. They have cleaning lady who is there all day constantly cleaning and making sure everything is sanitary. The staff is super friendly and treats you like family. The trainers are incredible. I literally end up laughing my entire training session. There is always new equipment and it's all super easy to use. The owner Erik is a great guy. So friendly and always looking to make your experience amazing. I've been to many gyms. This one is by far superior to the rest. I will forever come here.

Fantastic experience: Powerhouse gym in Mahwah is the BEST gym I have ever belonged to. I have belonged to quite a few gyms and this gym, by far, surpasses ALL the others. The equipment is TOP of the line, the instructors and trainers are knowledgeable, helpful, and very pleasant, the Staff is caring, attentive, and friendly. The gym is spotless! Fantastic experience: As someone who's been to a bunch of the other gyms in the area, this is by far the best one around! The equipment is amazing, seriously, everything is brand new and it's the best equipment out there. And the gym is alwaysss clean which is a huge benefit in my mind!! Some gyms don't care too much about that, but I really do. Erik the owner is really nice too, he interacts with (us) the members and always asks how everyone is doing, etc. I highly recommend you check it out if you're searching for a new gym and/or want a better one!!!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, this gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. It started with a location in south Hackensack . It quickly moved to a second location in Mahwah, awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers, staff and the owner Erik and they are eager to help and will to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun. The classes are intense for every level athlete, and you will love the diverse workout combinations. Hope to see you there!

Fantastic experience: The facility is in great condition with the newest equipment. The locker room and the gym are the cleanest I’ve seen. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable which creates the ideal environment to train.

Fantastic experience: Gym is spectacular. Equipment is all I'd ever need and the gym is utterly spotless- you could take a photo anywhere in the gym, any hour of the day or night, and it would be fine to post on the website. Front desk is always friendly. Owner as well; he saw me one day and suggested I try a new piece of equipment, then taught me to use it. Hours are great; I've got 114 hours each week to get the job done. There's everything to like about this place.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!!! The classes are phenomenal! The instructors and trainers are educated (you don't find that anywhere). They have the experience and worked with top athletes from all around the world that compete! The hot yoga they offer is absolutely amazing!!!! For the price of the membership, it pays for itself! The equipment and gym are new! It doesn't get better than that! I hate old crummy machines! This gym has amazing and always clean!! They have a small room for females only!!! I love that, I can workout and no one bothers me!

Fantastic experience: I love going to this gym. The staff is friendly and they care. They also make it a point to say hello each morning. Locker room is always clean. I commend them on their efforts, it makes all the difference in the world.

Fantastic experience: This gym is immaculate. Everyone from the front desk to the instructors and trainers take great care in making members (or potential members) feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone has always been super pleasant, helpful and encouraging. The fitness classes are excellent and all of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. They know how to push you to achieve your goals and the most out of every workout while being particular about form and the prevention of injuries. The in-house nutritional coaching has also been instrumental in helping to kickstart the achievement of my personal goals. Great facility all around!
