Jump Start Gymnastics, Inc.: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. Coaches are absolutely awesome and a great variety of equipment.
Fantastic experience: Love Coach Dan!! He’s awesome!!
Fantastic experience: I am so hard on everyone and everything that has to do with my kid. I can tell you parents I sit at my daughters class and nearly cry bc I’m so happy. These coaches are amazing. Amazing people. We will come here forever
Negative experience: We put together a group of 6 friends to do a gymnastics class together and jumpstart gymnastics was EXTREMELY unhelpful. they have bad customer service, no one picks up their phone and have late reply’s to emails. Along with that, maureen was nasty and did not allow for us to use our ACE money to pay for the classes, when they list on their website that it’s ace approved. We felt treated poorly and it’s a disgrace to treat humans the way we felt treated. Needless to say, we will NOT be recommending them to our friends. Watch out when calling or applying, she might test you terribly because that’s what they do.
Fantastic experience: We are so thrilled to have found Jump Start Gymnastics, Maureen is always there to answer any questions. Having Sundays available works great and the coaches are all so great! Coach Tyra is amazing and always there to guide us as the girls progress with their skills!!
Fantastic experience: My 2 daughters are beginner gymnasts who’ve been attending this studio the last few months. We’ve tried out other local studios but are especially pleased with the quality of trainers and coaches here, as well as how the sessions are run (a rotating focus on different elements/apparatus). The coaches challenge and motivate the kids whilst continually keeping an eye on safety (whether the cushions are properly aligned, equipment positioning, verbal feedback & communication with each other). I also appreciate that they encourage students to wash their hands before starting each class. Lastly, the month to month pricing system takes into account holidays so you don’t need to worry about make up lessons and such. Maureen is super responsive per email and runs a solid program for gymnasts of all levels (team levels too). I have no affiliations with anyone in this gym, am just a really pleased parent with how my children are developing their gymnastic skills and confidence.
Negative experience: What a disappointing experience! Enrolling our 4-year-old daughter at this gymnastics place turned out to be a pure waste of time and money. The lack of structure and assistance was quite evident as our daughter was left to her own most of the time. It was disheartening to see that they seemed to prioritize only the kids with pre-existing gymnastics skills, leaving our daughter feeling neglected and unguided. The communication was so poor that we were never sure if she even had a coach. Overall, it was a weird and unsatisfactory experience, and we certainly wouldn’t consider taking our kids there again.
Negative experience: Their “Tuesday & Thursday ADULT OPEN GYM” is not as advertised. Not beginner friendly. I asked the person checking in where the coaches were and they that they were one of the coaches for the night and it’s really just a do your own thing set up. One of the coaches, Kiera, did answer my question and showed me some stretches to get my splits. Still, it wasn’t inviting to beginners or as described. The coaches were training most of the time. They way it’s described on the website as “The WIT/MIT class is our adult open gym led by coaches who are excited to help you accomplish your own personal fitness goals. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced gymnast/athlete, this open gym can accommodate your levels and abilities.” Is not true and makes it seems as if it’s an actual class or some guided instruction. If you are experienced and want a place to practice I’d say come to open gym if not I’d look for another place.
Fantastic experience: Love this place :) my daughter has been taking 1-1 lessons here for years. Coach Kira is the bomb and super helpful and patient with her
Negative experience: These people don't answer their phone at all. Service is absolutely terrible
Fantastic experience: Maureen and her team are amazing. My kids love it here, from classes, camp, and birthday parties the experience is always great. Will keep coming back again and again.
Fantastic experience: The best place for kids to train to become wonderful gymnasts
Fantastic experience: This place is a must. They are great with children. The growth, knowledge and experience is something I think every child should experience. Bravo Jumpstart
Fantastic experience: Had a birthday party here and it was fantastic. Highly recommend. The coaches were so great with the kids.
Negative experience: I recieved an email from this gym inviting us to an open gym today since the kids have the day off from school. The price was for $5 per child. When I got there with my two sons, I was charged $20. I showed the owner my email, but she was rude and said that was a mistake and that the price was $10 per participant. I told her that it was her mistake and that she should honor the price, but she refused. I don't want to give business to a company that doesn't value friendliness and good customer service. We won't be back.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful gym, wonderful staff.
Positive experience: We have had a good experience at this gym. The price is good and the equipment is nice. The bathrooms are good as well. Parking is horrible though, and there are too many students for one instructor in the higher level classes. It would be really nice for there to be more instructor feedback on things such as pointing toes, body positions, arms/head up, and legs together.
Negative experience: Unorganized and not welcoming. The “coach” who teaches the younger kids acts like she does not want to be there and had very little patience with my child. She told my oldest daughter “I don’t feel like teaching your class today.” Currently looking for a new gym. I don’t think any of the coaches are certified. Everything seems self taught. For the safety and improvement of my children we will be going elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: This place has been great. We have been here for a year now and my daughter loves it. Can get really busy at times but the teachers are great.
Positive experience: My daughter seems to enjoy their week long summer camp. So, so far so good. I will say that parking is a complete nightmare- early arrival is suggested.
Fantastic experience: My daughters Birthday was held here. The staff helped me set up. They brought out supplies, cut the cake, cleaned , entertained the guess, set up the piñata. They were very friendly and I liked how cheerful they were the entire time! Omg I wish I could have my birthday here lol! We had the gym to ourselves and all of my guest said they had a great time! Thank you Jumpstart!!
Negative experience: I booked a birthday party here for my 3 year old because I had attended a party there before and thought it would be a nice place for a party. But my experience wasn't as great as the party I attended. I wasn't told that a class would be ending at the same time my party was booked, upon arrival I was told the class ended at 3 my party was at 3:30 the class didn't end until 3:35 (Why would you book a party at the same time a class is ending? should at least have a 30 min window) the people were sitting their stuff all on our table cloths as a consumer who paid $275 to rent the place for an hour and a half I would've liked to have been told that upon booking and I would've booked later or at another facility. Furthermore Another party came in co mingling with my party before the event was over. I could tell and hear by their conversation they weren't exactly pleased we were still there but our party wasn't over yet. The hostesses were great but overwhelmed of course. Having to deal with so many people rushing to clean up one mess to set up for another I felt sorry for them that's stressful.. Management should really have a gap in between parties to allow one to clear out an another to set up so all won't feel uncomfortable. It was just unprofessional to me like people who only care about the money and not the customer service. Upon speaking with the owner her reaction to my complaint confirmed that for me. It's all about the money not the customer service. I'm sure this is a great place for Gymnastic classes but not for birthday parties if you like order, professionalism & comfort for your money... All in all the kids had a ball. Only reason I'm leaving this review is so that people will know what to expect in advance cause you won't be told this by the owner upon booking.
Fantastic experience: Great facility and great faculty !
Fantastic experience: In hone to be gong here mom say
Negative experience: It looks O.K
