Fantastic experience: Im from out of town, and I'm working in the area. Was told about the gym from a coworker. I love the great atmosphere. Local gym and everyone is friendly. There are a lot of options to choose from for your exercise routine. Would recommend for anyone in the area.

Negative experience: Too many HS kids there

Fantastic experience: Since day one it’s been the place I like to go to get better. It started off with a simple fitness challenge, but it’s grown into so much more. A lifestyle. They offer, group exercising, cardio equipment, Dumbbells, Kettle bells, and a wide range of exercise equipment. The staff is also very friendly, informative and encouraging. 10/10 recommend!

Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for, AT LEAST, 10 yrs now. Kris has always been a great guy and owner, his staff is always friendly and welcoming. He’s kept the prices VERY COMPETITIVE, kudos. Only thing that gets annoying is all the high schoolers that attend and make it a “play ground”…the gym is just too small for those antics. New-updated gym equipment would be nice, but, have no problems with what we got there now. I’ll keep coming back as long as he keeps his same recipe to success here…keeping it simple!

Positive experience: I am currently working out 3 days a week using my own resistance training program. I find that the associated staff and personal trainers are always friendly and pleasant. Like all gyms there are a few people who seem to be difficult to deal with but in general everyone is there to accomplish the same thing and thus far I haven't had to adopt a prison attitude with anyone . Most of the machines that I like to use are avalible and wait times are minimal .

Fantastic experience: Fitness MD has been a community conscious facility for many years. They host the yearly Lose to win contest, and it gives people an opportunity for a specific period of time to get help get acquainted with the gym, and to try something they maybe haven’t tried before. The trainers there are very friendly and very encouraging. Because I live 30 minutes out I don’t have as much available time but when I do go, I’ve enjoyed every class that I’ve attended and when I’ve needed instruction on a particular piece of equipment I have gotten it . Thank you fitness MD for being such a great part of your community.

Positive experience: Love this gym! Could it be more convenient...24 hours a day? With there unique method of allowing members to come at any hour there's no excuse to skip your workouts. Also during staffed hours you can utilize tanning services included with membership . However my favorite amenity is their "Silver Sneaker" class,but don't let the name fool you. I take my 67 year young mother on Tues and Thurs and their full body routine really delivers!

Fantastic experience: They are really treating the corona virus serious. They are cleaning the whole time you are there and keeping everything sanitized. They have always done this but they have stepped it up even more.

Fantastic experience: It generally gets busy in here at 4-6 but before that it's the perfect time to go in for a workout. I go whenever I cannot run outside I normally work on cardio in the week in here and weight lifting on the weekends (just because I do weight lifting at work on the weekdays.) They have everything you need. I signed up because my son signed up and he loves it. The atmosphere is amazing.

Fantastic experience: Very good place to workout! Lots of choices to workout. From heavy weights to the lightest or machine weights! Many classes to choose from as well. Kris has ensured the place is kept very clean! Everyone can take a bottle of disinfectant and a clean clothe to wipe before and after as well as the attendants cleaning the floors too!

Fantastic experience: Family friendly workout gym. Their staff I'd always helpful. I have several health issues making me unable to do many of the standard exercises, but their staff is great in providing modifications that I CAN do for similar effect. Their summer "Lose to Win" contest is a fantastic way to get a boost to your weight loss and see the variety of classes they have available.

Fantastic experience: Kris and his staff are great at Fitness MD. They're all so welcoming and provide excellent customer service. The owner sponsors a lot of fundraising for many of the charities and schools in the Barstow area. The monthly fee is cheap and includes classes and tanning. With a card, you can go anytime. I LOVE this gym.

Fantastic experience: Fitness MD is a great gym, from the staff to the other gym goers. Definitely the best gym in Barstow! They even still have real metal old school plates. The gym is equipped with a variety of equipment to help you pursue whatever your fitness goes might be!!! Give it a try!

Fantastic experience: One of the Best Gyms I have been to. Great atmosphere, top notch staff and great classes to motivate everyone. Kris, the owner, is a great guy that puts his heart and soul into his gym. He is very attentive to the members needs and always available to talk to. Kris is very active in the community and and makes a point to support local businesses! No contract, affordable prices and a great atmosphere!
