Anytime Fitness Azle

Negative experience: Let me preface this by saying this is not a reflection of the club in Azle specifically, however, they did not do anything to help remedy this situation for me. To save face, the business should have jumped in between corporate and me, and taken care of the situation before any of the following ensued. I rarely leave negative reviews like I’m about to leave. However, my experience with time fitness has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I hadn’t gone to the club at all in 2024, as I’ve joined a different establishment. I finally got around to trying to cancel my membership sometime around June. Keep in mind that my obligation was contractually fulfilled. Reaching this establishment to try to cancel or get information is almost impossible as they make it extremely difficult to get a human on the line that allows you any other options than to pay your bill or hear an account summary. That’s the first red flag of how dishonest disorganization is. The only way to cancel is to send an email to an inbox that says they will get back to you in 5 to 10 business days. Because of that delay, my account was billed again for another month, which I paid. However, upon finally receiving a response after three emails to this inbox, two weeks had basically gone by and they also then requested another months payment for me. In the interim, I had canceled that credit card and, unbeknownst to me, late fees continued to mount on my account. It’s not only did they receive eight months worth of payments from me when I hadn’t even gone to the club this entire year, then they wanted an extra month’s payment as well as late fees. This company is an absolute scam and I warn anybody to, please not do any business with them. You will regret it when the time comes to cancel your membership. After paying their ridiculous demands, which feels like blackmail because they threaten to go to collections if you don’t pay instead of just canceling the membership because it was contractually fulfilled already, two days later I received yet another email saying that I still owed them over $100. Finally on about my tenth call back to these crooks, I was finally told that my account was settled and that it was closed. What a horrible experience. In all, I lost a few hundred bucks to these unethical heaps of garbage that call themselves a business. This is the kind of stuff that should involve a class action lawsuit. They’re lucky my time is more valuable than to deal with that litigation. However, I hope that this review will sway others from doing business with this organization and saving yourself the headache that I went through.

Fantastic experience: Ashley is the very best - makes it easy to get into shape without it being overwhelming! This location is in Azle and it’s clean and well maintained - the only suggestion is to add another bathroom or 2.

Negative experience: I am beyond frustrated with Azle Anytime Fitness regarding their outrageous contract cancellation fees. I haven't set foot in the facility since October 2023, and now, at the end of June, I am being charged a $300 cancellation fee. This is on top of the $45 monthly payments I've been forced to make since signing up. When I signed the contract, I was not informed about these ridiculous cancellation fees. This critical detail was conveniently omitted during the sign-up process, which I find deceptive and dishonest. To anyone considering joining Anytime Fitness, beware of the hidden costs. Read the fine print carefully before you sign anything. Despite not using the gym for 8 months, I still have to pay an exorbitant amount just to cancel my membership. This is absolutely absurd and feels like a complete scam. I am extremely dissatisfied with how this situation has been handled and want to warn others not to fall into the same trap. Azle Anytime Fitness, your business practices are unacceptable. I hope people read this and reconsider before signing up with you. This is ridiculous! I just pray that anytime fitness goes out of business!

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for 6 months and it’s always clean and the workers are always nice. I also love the little community board they have. I’ve been to planet fitness, 24 hour fitness, and even an independent gym but this has been my favorite so far.

The team training is a lot of fun and challenging (highly recommend). The facility always has a positive atmosphere and is very clean! This gym is by far the nicest facility that I have been to! 2 thumbs up!!!!!

Negative experience: To many people in a small gym, You have everyone sitting on a machine texting and taking over the whole gym leaving there belongs around to claim machines. The gym is to small for this to be going on please do something about it.

Negative experience: If Josh Davidson and anyone in agreement with his horrible conduct as an Anytime Fitness employee still works here, then this Anytime Fitness gym in Azle is a disgrace to the entire Anytime Fitness brand and every last one of its paying members. If employees here, such as Mr. Davidson, think they can weaponize local police to harass paying gym members and make them leave the gym when said members have been doing nothing but minding their own business, and on top of it the local police advise paying gym members to avoid returning to this gym, then I don't know why Azle even has an Anytime Fitness gym. Disgusting place operated by disgusting employees.

Positive experience: Tons of equipment, and most of it is in good shape. The water fountain is horribly chlorinated though, can't be drank.

Negative experience: The worst establishment in Azle. Doesn't care about anything but earning a dollar. Baited a disabled veteran into a membership by stating it could be canceled at any time, and then refused to do so when going to the gym became impossible due to health reasons. Thiefs and con artists!

Positive experience: I dig it here. Pretty mellow vibe. Wish they had more equipment. Basically one machine for every body part. They have a training area to the left side, they need to add more equipment over there and move the "training" else where. If you can improvise, it's a decent place for the price. There are a few key machines I wish they had but hey, it's local and it will work!

Negative experience: When I signed up for the membership I was told I could cancel at anytime. (I specifically asked otherwise I would not of signed up) now as I’m trying to cancel they are telling me the only reason I can cancel is a medical reason or I have to pay a $250 buyout fee. None of this was disclosed to me when I asked about canceling anytime. You can’t even cancel the membership in the gym you have to call/email a 3rd party billing company.

Fantastic experience: My gym!

Positive experience: Friendly staff and clean gym. The reason it’s a 3 star is because they put you in a contract that you have to pay $28 biweekly (at least for me). After paying for 18 months, I had to call some finance place to finally have it cancelled (5 months after my contract). AND they still had to charge me 2 more times! Trust me, for almost $60 a month I’m pretty sure you could get a lot more in a gym (sauna, bball gym, mini protein store, etc). Overall not a bad place to be a gym member, just if they would lower the monthly (biweekly) payments and perhaps not put us on a contract.

Negative experience: The customer service at this facility is terrible. I have talked to two different people trying to cancel my membership, they have directed me to a different phone number stating they can’t cancel the membership in-house. The information they gave me is all false in the financial institution that they have directed me to has no record of me. Conveniently, they still have been charging my credit card. Both the people in the facility don’t know how to stop it, and the number they gave me say I don’t exist. That’s interesting because somebody is still charging me.

Fantastic experience: I have been trying to call them and have left a Voice Mail, so I can get a key to start my fitness journey, and no one ever answers or has called me back. It's frustrating. How do I DM you from google? Owner made good and got me taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! 24hrs, affordable, well maintained equipment, & very clean. Good way to always get your cardio in no matter what the weather is outside or what time of day! Also you have access to any of anytime fitness's locations, so you can stay on task even when traveling!

Fantastic experience: Good gym. Plenty of equipment to choose from. Sometimes though the music over the to intercom drowns out the audio of my phone especially when they play that awful heavy metal.

Fantastic experience: Very clean. Cool closed off area with huge selection of workout videos to choose from. Love the elliptical with big screen you can stream anything on. They've got it all.

Negative experience: My wife left a 1 star review because of the cheap equipment giving her honest opinion, and the staff at Anytime fitness had the audacity to call her to ask her to take down her review! Then started to ask her personal questions that has no relevance to the gym or her review. Stay away from this place with their plastic weights, no bench press, and unprofessional work ethic.

Negative experience: Nice gym and trainers are terrific, but when I signed up, it was for 12 months, knowing that I was moving away after about 6 months. Now that the 12 months have passed, they have continued to charge my credit card. I contacted them and learned that I had signed an 18 month agreement, even though I was told it was 12 months. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN!

Negative experience: I dont recommend people to go to the gym because really if your going to work out would it better to do it at home were your safe and comfortable.plus the down side is like so many reviews on these type of place its not safe to be in unless it has outstanding securities

Fantastic experience: This Anytime fitness is awesome! Trey has been phenomenal, very knowledgeable, and always friendly. There’s no pressure to join and only love from the staff here! I would highly recommend checking them out and doing the 7 day free trial!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this gym since the beginning of 7th grade, and now I’m going into freshmen year.I have got a lot stronger.I wouldn’t be able to do a lot in football or wrestling, or anything else if it wasn’t for Anytime Fitness.I love the staff here, and the equipment is awesome.It has been a very good experience working out here for the last two years.

Fantastic experience: Cozy and comfortable gym. My favorite detail about this gym is the view you get while using the treadmill. It is nice to be able to get some sunshine while running or walking.

Friendly customer service from Trey, clean up kept equipment, and they have an individual workout room with a projector screen with a program that displays all types of fantastic workout classes!! I love that! You can attend a "class" any time of the day you want. I recommend giving this gym a try.

Positive experience: Nice club with typical exercise equipment. Travis is awesome. Way overpriced for club and group training. $40 a month plus tax and initiation fee. No pools, lockers, not enough room when crowded or team training going on. Another $99 plus for team training and must sign a contract. Everyone charged $25 in April for club improvements but they don't always benefit ALL gym members.

Positive experience: Great gym. It's clean and had friendly staff. I'm used to having more variety in the equipment, which is the only reason it didn't get a five star review. With that being said, it has everything you need for whatever workout (if you're not going too advanced on certain movements).

Fantastic experience: Visiting for the weekend from out of town, and met up with Trey. He was extremely welcoming. Introduced us to the facility, and made us feel like we were at our home club. The machines are very new. There’s a good variety and quantity of cardio!equipment. And a ton of space. We may be here 1 or 2 times per year, and Anytime in Azle will be our only choice for a visiting gym.

Fantastic experience: Bottom Line Up Front: AF Azle is a great place to get your workouts in. Most gyms give you about 75-80% of the equipment that you need to get a quality workout. This location had everything you need to get after your goals; great cardio equipment, a multipurpose room, outstanding free weights and cables, and a superb functional fitness area, with a complete power rack system. Trey and the team at AF Azle are nothing short of first-class. I highly recommend AF Azle to anyone looking for a gym and a community of athletes to train with.

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with this gym! It exceeded my expectations and had all the equipment I needed for a great workout while I was in town visiting. The facility was clean, new and well-attended to, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. Anytime Fitness is definitely the place to workout in Azle!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for year now. Always clean. Staff is super friendly. All equipment is working 99.99 percent of the time. Restrooms are always clean. Membership fees are very reasonable for the quality of the facility and staff. All these things are true about every Anytime i have been too in the last year. I have been to five facilities this past year. I have enjoyed each one and currently enjoy the facility i am at now in Azle. Great Job Anytime Fitness!!!

The place was always clean and the other members were friendly. Over all it was a pleasant experience. I give 5 stars and two thumbs to this establishment. Fantastic experience: I was out in azle for about two weeks and needed a gym to work out my stress and work on my body. I went to Anytime Fitness and talked with Trey Logan and he worked with me so I had a gym to go to for the two weeks. Every one was helpful, friendly and non-judgmental. I Highly recommend giving them a try.

Negative experience: All I have.to say is read your contract from top to bottom. I signed for a year membership...well after looking at my contract it says 18 months!! I told the guy that took my information that I wanted a 1 year and not more. Well I got.distracted with his talking and did not pay attention on the fine print of the 18 months. Bottom line it's my fault I should have told the guy to shut the....up so could read this on my own time. So just heads up and dont get fooled by this people!

Fantastic experience: Nice, clean gym

Negative experience: I lost my job & ins. A yr ago & put my membership on hold. When I got another job with insurance it was around the same time my membership reactivated so I was charged for January. I quickly tried to go thru my ins again to make it cheaper but ins couldn't set me up since I was already a member & told me once they cancel my membership then the ins co can get me going with their health program at that gym. So I went in & Trey had me fill out a form cancelling my membership & I waited 4 an email confirmation of cancellation so that I could call my ins co right away. Jake was also aware of what needed 2 happen. I was charged again for February. I went back dn there & Trey had me fill out ANOTHER cancellation form. Then when I still don't get an email confirming I threaten 2 call NBC investigates & Trey calls telling me he needs the number the ins co gives you when you sign up. I'm furious!! AGAIN I tell him I have to be cancelled out b4 they can give me a number & he tells me Jake wants 2 make sure I'm going 2 sign up again with them. Now I tried to do this the right way but you don't hold people HOSTAGE!! So I have contacted NBC investigates to help me since they want 2 be ugly about everything. I should also be refunded February since I requested my cancellation in January. Jake you had a month to cancel and you chose to charge me again instead of cancelling and letting me get this done as my insurance company requested. The resolution would be to cancel as requested in January and refund my February which should not have been charged. Since you refuse to do this I will let NBC Investigates talk to you. Or, if my cancellation is done today and February refunded today I will not have NBC Investigates involved. Also, I told you and Trey I can't get a new number until THEY set me up. This is still BCBS but not the same acct. SO THERE IS NO NUMBER UNTIL THEY CAN SET ME UP AGAIN! When people talk over you and assume they know what happened and you can't get a word in...you tend to get very agitated. I never cursed at you or said vile things. I only tried to be heard but instead of listening you chose to talk at the same time. Yes, that agitates people. And everyone is seing just how easy it is to talk with you. Instead of trying to move forward you continue to try and trash me. Which only makes you look worse. Have a nice day Jake. Also, I had to post a review before I could get my refund. Filling out the form twice didn't do it. You should listen instead of talking over people. And trey, when I told him I needed a refund he didn't say one word. So that was not helpful. And the only thing your "calling out" is how people can't get things done with you without posting on here and calling NBC Investigates. So, still haven't seen anything showing the refund in my bank. 2/21 Still no refund.

Negative experience: They continue to take money out of my elderly mothers account even after she when in to sign a cancellation. She lives on social security and after speaking with the owners they refuse to stop.

If you are looking for a gym that you can walk into and have a great time as well as get work done, this is the gym for you. Management is on point and never hesitates to clear things up. Wonderful place to invest your money!

Fantastic experience: I have been also trying to cancel my membership and it went from calls to emails and now no reply. The gym is great/ my issue is paying for service's i have not used in about a year. And being told ill recieve a call back and no reply really don't understand why they can't cancel my membership or why it's a question if ill be refunded my money. Ill update outcome. Outcome- I was contacted immediately after review, and was refunded promptly from the time i asked to cancel. Thank you so much.

Positive experience: Gym is great. Clean with nice staff. However, I moved to Oklahoma knowing my membership was due to expire at the end of January. I called Trey and let him know and that I wished to discontinue my membership. I sent a certified letter to that effect to ABC Financial (in my contract). I received confirmation on February 17. I continued to be charges on my credit card. I called Trey again. He backed out the charge for April and then started charging again in May. He said I needed to come in and fill out paperwork. I again told him that was not possible due to my move and asked him to either mail it or email it. I never received paperwork. Now I have a collections company calling me. **Update: I was called by Jake and will be refunded extra months charged and membership was cancelled. Will be taken out of collections. Thanks for making this right!

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out

Positive experience: I absolutely love this gym and have been a loyal member since it opened up. I have little to no complaints about the gym or the owners. They're always responsive and very friendly. It's what I like about this gym the most, but for some reason I'm having the hardest time just canceling my father's gym membership. I understand protocols that my father needs to be there but there wasn't a problem when I set up the membership without my father and signed for him. Otherwise, I enjoy this gym thoroughly except for that small detail.

Positive experience: really liked it! Good selection of equipment and in good condition. I just wished there was a little more room for free weights, but don't know if I'd be willing to give up equipment for it.

Negative experience: I have been trying for months to cancel my membership. Every time I call I get the same thing. Someone is here that can help you 10-7 M-Th, yet Tre is the only one who can apparently cancel a membership and he is never there during these times. I have spent hundreds of dollars on something I don't use. I feel like they are only here to take my money. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: I'm giving a 3 rating. While it does have loads of positives, the cost and legal speak tend to take away. Additionally, unlike 24, there is a LEGALLY BINDING contract that REQUIRES 12/18 MONTH commitment. Know that it's 250.00 plus fees for early termination of said contract.
