Negative experience: The guy who answered the call was rude. They might not like money.

Fantastic experience: This gym ignited my daughter’s love for gymnastics when she was only 3 years old. Now, 3 years later, she just made the league team and is looking forward to learning more skills. The coaches are kind and supportive and she looks forward to going to class each week. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: 3 of my girls have gone to GLG for over 6 years. They offer great class options for all age and experience levels. I love that they also offer clinics, Summer camps, open gyms, and options for a rec team or more competitive team levels. The staff is always friendly and they respond quickly to emails or phone calls with any questions I have. My oldest daughter started league team about a year ago and I am amazed at how much she has learned and grown as an athlete and individual. I can’t say enough good things about her coaches. Coach Essence and Coach Sterling are brilliant. They have made such a positive impact on her and we are very grateful.

Positive experience: We sent boys for a few months. They had fun, but it wasn’t worth the money. Many of the coaches are nice and hard working. Several seem to lack much desire to help out. It did feel like the little girls got more time and attention from many of the coaches. Most just sent my boy off to “play” and didn’t bother to give clear instructions or feedback. I’m glad he had fun. But I wanted him to learn body awareness and coordination. I also regularly saw coaches just staring at their phones instead of giving the kids attention. It wasn’t often in our kids classes, but I saw it all the time with the other classes going on at the same time. I once watch 6/10 coaches in the gym all on their phones at the same time. You’ll probably have a better experience if you’re sending your girls. If you have boys, I’d go elsewhere.

Negative experience: The owners are ableist, discriminatory extremely rude and unprofessional. A true embarrassment of what used to be an amazing facility. Don’t send your kids here.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Great Lakes Gymnastics. It seem like the coaches did not take interest in the students when practicing will not return.

Fantastic experience: We have had my daughter enrolled in some form of gymnastics since she was 5yrs old. She didn't like Avon Dance & Karate (sic), didn't like Top Gun, but she absolutely LOVES this place. She looks forward to it every week.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to GLG for almost 4 years and they are so nice there i'm on the gold team and the couches are fun they joke with you but some couches take things to seriously and some of the couches yell at you when you talk a little while conditioning but that's the only thing but other wise I love it there. And they are so safe there they are so good at spotting you and would never let you get hurt.

Fantastic experience: Good staff, working with our children under these circumstances. My son loved it, and we will most likely be back for the season. Depending on what sissy wants, I may have both of them enrolled. They are already in a very fine dance establishment, but it is their choice.

Fantastic experience: I trained at GLG and my team won the state championship 4 years straight and I’m proud to say that i was trained by these amazing coaches!

Positive experience: I go to Great Lakes gymnastics and I am an excel gold gymnast on the senior team.the coaching and staff is great we get good corrections and over all good times and practices we have party’s and fun events for all of the senior team the only thing I do not like is the excel gold group only gets one coach for all events she’s great don’t get me wrong but all the other groups get all of the coaches we only get one we get kinda pushed to the side then the other levels but besides that it’s a great place to do any gymnastics I recommend

Fantastic experience: I love the gym it has really professional coaches they are very good and they care about each and every one of their athletes. They also help them with schedules and if they have trouble with people they will try there hardest to make you feel good all in all this is the best place you could ever take you child I really recommend

Positive experience: I have been going to Great Lakes gymnastics for 5 years now and it's fun and all, but lately conditioning has been getting very overwhelming and stressful. I know that they push us to be the best gymnast we can but one night after practice I went home and when I got home I literally felt like I was going to puke I couldn't feel any part of my body everything was just num, and my head was pounding. Don't get me wrong all of the staff and coaches are really nice but when you accidentally mess up on something that you've never messed up on before or forgot to do something you'll get screamed/yelled at by some of the coaches. And I'm not trying to be mean at all to the coaches & staff. There are just a few things you guys could work on doing, try to be more relaxed with the gymnasts, and if something goes wrong please don't yell at the gymnasts, tell them to come over where you are and talk to them and just tell them to try to not do it again. Try to give us more motivation. if you put your daughter on senior team for gymnastics your daughter might get a bit overwhelmed and stressed out.

Fantastic experience: I go to Great Lakes gymnastics. I am on excel silver I love it I love the coaches and the gymnasts. Once you become friends with the other gymnasts it's hard to turn away and leave. You just form a special bond between the amazing coaches. They will always believe in you

Negative experience: The most unprofessional gym I have ever visited. Warning for all parents going for a meet at that gym. Everyone in attendance agrees that the scores were altered to benefit there gymnist. When a gymnist is waiting for foor exercise and they have to wait so there photographer can take a team picture. Or when floor exercise is going on, you have someone running scores to the office running right on the floor. Finally when they do awards at the end they announced 1st place first, then 2nd and 3rd after, is so stupid. What gym does these things? I will never return.
