Negative experience: Rude staff, dirty gym. Went for a month, didn't see the worth of staying. Never met the owner, but, I saw him there. Didn't seem welcoming, and from my experience with the staff, I never approached to avoid unnecessary aggression/conflict. I would just save your money, and go to Woodstock.

Fantastic experience: I literally have a madhouse gym's sweater, I bought it in Mexico, and i wanted to know where is from my sweater. And i found these gym. Thanks. I love that sweater. I train too. I wish could visite you for training one day, that's look amazing.

Fantastic experience: Best gym worldwide hands down, I’ve been to my fair share of gyms and this one takes the cake. They have machines that you’ve never and seen or even thought of. I love their rules and policies, they make me feel safe and also I don’t have to worry about taking someone else’s weights off the equipment before I have to put my own, where they have a strict policy to RERACK your weights. I hated going ti gyms and having to clean up someone else’s mess. Even tho I’ve violated and had to pay the price, I proudly did because I overstand the hassle. I don’t have to worry about machines being broken down, All equipment works properly. Obsswith this gym if I could give 10 stars I would! 10/10
Fantastic experience: This place is insane! You could do a different machine every set and still not use everything before your body gave out. I was just visiting the area and wasn't able to workout but it was still worth the trip just to walk around and take a look at everything. Seriously awesome place. I will definitely be making the drive from North Carolina to workout once I recover from my surgery. If you're within an hour it's definitely worth the drive to be a member of this gym IMO.
Fantastic experience: I've been a member since 2019. I love this gym, it's got plenty of equipment both old and new. Working out in this place is always a blast, a highlight of my week.
Fantastic experience: Before I moved to the Atlanta area I would make a point to drive all the way down from Tennessee to train at this gym. As soon as I moved to the are, I had to get a membership here. The owner is passionate about having an amazing gym, helping teach the members, and creating a clean and safe environment. The culture there with the staff is fantastic, there is always a new machine to try and so many options for machines so you never have to wait for anything. It is absolutely a must check out if you’re visiting the area and definitely get a membership if you live here.
Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever been to! Wouldn’t go or recommend anywhere else.
Negative experience: I only gave it a one star so I could write this review. This gym charges for everything, $15 if by mistake you forget to re rack your weights or just being Courteous and opening the door to someone you’ll get charged $50 for that. I guess they need $ to fix their old equipment. Sorry but new management will nickel and dime you. Just make the drive to one life fitness down the rd.
Sorry you feel that way, but letting people in the gym after hours is extremely dangerous and puts everyone at risk. I don’t know why some people decide to overrule our access system and let in people that don’t have a membership, but everyone that’s ever joined has agreed IN WRITING to NOT help people trespass and steal service, and we make no apologies in enforcing those rules that they agreed to. I understand that you’re angry about the consequences of criminal behavior, and that we have the nerve to hold people accountable for their decisions, but the innocent, good people in our gym are much more important than the hurt feelings of a criminal. And it’s a $25 dollar fee per person, so a $50 charge is for sneaking in TWO people. And if you ask me, a $50 fine is pretty lenient considering the crimes committed. As far as re-rack fees, we also make no apologies for holding people accountable for the messes they leave. If you leave a mess, we will clean it up so others won’t have to put up with a slob, but you’re going to be the one to pay for your mess. That’s fair, and that’s logical…especially considering the fact that every single member that joins also agrees to those terms. Again, I’m sorry that you’re angry, but allowing members to help sneak people in and steal from us while endangering our decent members isn’t something that we’re interested in, and the fact that you think WE are in the wrong for protecting their safety and the viability of the gym shows that you have no business being in a good gym or around our good people.
Fantastic experience: When you imagine a real gym, this is it. Very far and few like this one, especially for the price. Plus there's a bakery next store so it smells fantastic lol An almost ecsessive amount of machines for every body part (and multiple at that)! Just a 5/5 overall, never had any thing to omplain about or an issue. ---Also the decor is dope

Fantastic experience: I have been lifting for 2 decades and have been to many gyms all over the US. This gym is by far my favorite gym of all time. The equipment selection is unparalleled; it's not even close at any other gym I have been to. This is a body building/ power lifting gym. The Dumbells go to 220 and there are enough plates for all. This is a serious gym for serious people. Absolutely perfect. Thanks Mad House. You've ruined all other gyms for me!
Fantastic experience: Since I was young, I've always been passionate about sports and dreamed of working out in a great gym in the United States and owning my own gym. In 2022, I came to the U.S. to study. It's now been two years since I arrived, but until just last month, I often felt unhappy, regretted my decision, and wanted to return to my home country. However, at the end of April this year, I saw a gym on Instagram and wanted to visit it, but kept postponing it. Finally, at the end of June, I visited the gym with a friend and paid for a day pass to work out. I liked the gym so much that I continued to go there on Mondays and Thursdays for about two weeks. Finally, this Monday, I signed up for a membership. This gym has such a variety of equipment and machines that I can use as a reference for the layout and interior design of my own future gym. I believe it is a textbook example of what I envision for my own gym.
Fantastic experience: One of the best hard core gym I have visited yet!! Huge floor space with tons and I mean tons of equipment. Dumbells up to 250lbs and lots of iron plates. There's a awesome museum of muscle memorabilia in the back. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area.
Fantastic experience: I love madhouse so much. Mark and Kim put their heart and soul into this gym and you feel it every time you walk through the door. So proud of what madhouse has become with their hard work and dedication. Madhouse has helped my husband and I both achieve our goals at a greater level because of the incredible equipment. We get these sometimes when a member decides they’re more important than other members & that rules & standards that keep everyone safe don’t apply to them. We understand there are a good number “victim mentality” people out there that think we’re being rude when we remind them of the rules. They’ll always have a response like this & we accept it. Honestly, if we didn’t get an occasional negative review from a “victim” of our rules & standards, I’d know I wasn’t holding high enough standards for our good members. Thanks for confirming that we’re doing it right! I’ve never met you, but your review said that I was worse than our staff, I asked the other owner about you. The only time she ever heard from you was today when you asked how to cancel. She gave you complete details & even a link for more info. Ma’am, you represent a real estate agency. Is this really the first time you’ve confused direct information as “being rude”? If this is how you behave at Keller you should be fired.
Fantastic experience: I cancelled my membership for financial reasons. But man I miss coming here. The plethora of gym equipment, was amazing. Trust me, if your really into fitness you'll love it there. I'm going to rejoin as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite spot for working out. It's not a dainty spa gym. It's a real gym with no fluff. There is a lot of space on 1 level, with hundreds of equipment that the chain gyms will never have. It's 24/7 access, and I have never had to wait for someone to finish up on a machine because there are so many options. Definitely check them out.
Fantastic experience: Biggest gym in the word every piece you could imagine and more
Negative experience: 12/10 Did a walk through gym, wasn't showed around and no one seemed to care. I left, it's huge lots of things. Would have loved to actually go here, but if they don't act like they want my business I will find someone who does. From the owners comments I can tell I saved myself and wallet from this nightmare of a gym. Seems like too many steroids going into him and making him extra aggressive. Stay clear.
I do want to ask one thing before I speak to my staff. You said that you did a walkthrough on 12-10 but that Hyper Bench hasn’t been in the room that’s pictured for over a year. Where did you get that picture? Where are the two 12 foot skeletons that have been there since before October and are still standing there? Why make up a story? This is something that is 100% easy to prove and you still use a fake account and attack a family’s livelihood with blatant lies. Do you not understand how mentally ill you are? Who ever you are and why ever you think you’re justified in doing this, just know that I don’t wish it on you. I’ve never called anyone out and I never will. We may have banned you from the gym because you refused to be a decent human being, but the separation was all we needed. I’m sorry you feel like we owed you something more.

Fantastic experience: It's a straight up gym. Worried about waiting to use something, not here. An aboundance of almost any machine you could want for working the muscles. A selection of Cardio as well.

We’re locked in at this location for another five years, so if we can find a way to make that happen, we will. Sometimes in these older buildings it’s harder to get landlords to work with you but I want it for our members if it can be done. I appreciate the good review just the same.
Negative experience: To everyone: I should have known the owners response would have been this aggressive, from other comments and reviews. But it makes sense why they're cancellation policy has no feedback options or anything like that. Speaking about growth, I have given an honest opinion and an honest review of my experience and the owner does not like it. No one was being attacked, so why attack me? Just shows insecurities vs constructively growing from any bad reviews. I am sorry you feel personally attacked, this is not the gym for me. Or anyone who wants a clean facilities and friendly employees. Good for novelty. But, not as a go to gym. Lack of cleanliness, air circulation and over all enthusiasm from the employees. For the price you pay, yes you get many machines, but they're dirty and with a mix random broken machines.
Only someone like you could act like a fool and get kicked out of a gym because they thought they mattered more than anyone else…start a smear campaign based on lies…delete the lies and beg for months to come back…only to restart the smear campaign with lies when begging didn’t work…and yet you still believe you’re being attacked and you’re a victim. Lol! Okay. So since you can’t come back, you hate it and everything is broken. As long as you’re still banned, I’m happy. If people choose to believe your lies in contrast to the overwhelming amount of honest reviews, I accept that. If they’re anything like you or gullible enough to believe your nonsense, we wouldn’t want them here getting in our way. Best of luck with whatever it is that you think you’re going to accomplish, but we’ve broken sales records ever since the day we banned you. We work too hard, our dream is too big, and our staff and members are too dedicated for you to hurt us. You stopped making our members and staff miserable the day I told them you wouldn’t be back.
Fantastic experience: Madhouse is my go to place to use machines outside of the ordinary specifically for heavier lifting. It is peaceful, no waiting for weight machines and people rack their weights without being told to do so.
Oh man, if it were only that simple. Lol! Most of our bad reviews here are from people that we’ve had to ban for explaining to us that they shouldn’t have to be accountable for their messes. A review like this one make it all worth it. It took a long time for racking the weights stop being an issue, and we’re taking further steps to keep it that way. I looked at your review for a bit and it really got me thinking about a few things. To be honest, it first made me laugh…because OF COURSE people really into fitness love it. But that’s not what you meant and it made me understand an area where I could have been doing better even though I had been unaware. I tried to make the layout friendly to new users by sectioning the type of equipment not just by body part but by type of movement like selectorized/leverage/freeweights so a person could decide how deep they wanted to go and still feel comfortable. But we could have done more. Our first big step is to put QR Codes on every piece of equipment so that the user never has to wonder if they were doing it right. Personally, I was always excited to “figure it out” but not everyone is like me. I need to remember that. QR Codes will be the first step to trying to better help those that aren’t “really into fitness”. Maybe if we help them get better acquainted with it, we can change their minds. Thank you!

Thank you! Those are the very reasons we don’t break MadHouse into three smaller gyms and encircle Atlanta. We wanted all the variety and access to equipment in one place so nobody would ever have to wait to use good equipment that fit their body. For things like rows, leg press, lat pulls, and chest presses, it’s closer to 70 to 80 options each, so the variety is definitely there and will stay that way.

Positive experience: This is the most gym per gym I've ever been to. It just keeps going. You turn the corner and there's more gym. It's absurd. Edit/update: So, gym cleanliness leaves much to be desired (and the bathrooms are pretty bad). Didn't have a good experience with staff either. Can recommend visiting the gym for the novelty, but not really as the main gym.
The bathrooms are cleaned daily. You’re not the only one that makes that mistake though. The restrooms are very old, so sometimes clean just doesn’t mean it’ll look new. We usually only get that comment when someone is mad about something else. It does make me wonder why you would make this post rather than just speaking with us to resolve the problem though. We’re sorry you had a bad experience with a staff member, but without knowing details, there’s not much we can do to help you. Best of luck finding what you’re looking for in the future.
Fantastic experience: Just got membership last Sunday and I know for sure there is no gym like Mad House. You can not replicate this. Its impossible to find those machines repair and put them under same roof. Hoping to meet to owners one day and give them a handshake and say thank you for their passion about this unique place. Read all the reviews about their policy etc. Nonsense. They just don't want you to be a..hole and that's it. If you are not use to clean after yourself and wanna be disrespectful every other person Mad House is not for you.
Thank you! I honestly wondered how transparent some of those negative reviews were. It’s funny how a clean gym that a member loves becomes a dirty gym that they hate because we expected them to rack their weights. The truth is, most modern gyms/fitness centers don’t hold a high standard for gym etiquette for fear of negative reviews. As for us, we’d rather have a one star rating all the way before having the disrespectful a-holes make everybody miserable in MadHouse. We’ll take that hit if it means our members won’t have to deal with them.
Negative experience: Gym is disgusting, bathrooms are filthy, staff is incredibly rude and they don’t care about any members that aren’t “pros” if you go here and you’re not an ifbb pro, expect to be treated like trash. Update to this: the owner seems to have forgotten he slandered someone’s character on social media. I politely responded to him on his post and was promptly blocked since my facts didn’t fit his narrative. If he knew anything of libelous claims he would be more careful calling members douchebags for mistakingly leaving ONE plate out. Let this interaction be in public view to show the character of the owner

I do understand that you're angry with us because we enforced a well-known rule about racking weights and your friend who actually was a member doesn't seem to think the rules should apply to him. We will hold our standards even if he thinks he's more important than the other members though, and we'll just have to rely on the good reputation that we've established. We have already taken screen shots and will be addressing your libelous claim, but in the meantime, enjoy the lie. I'm sure anyone that knows you can see you for what you are, so your lies really won't have the kind of impact that you're hoping for. Update: Ironically, in your friend's fictitious review, she accused us of doing the opposite of your lie. You said we only cater to pros, which make up about 5% of our clientele, and we ignore everyone else. She seems to think we don't give better service to high level lifters and that we should. Shouldn't the two of you have talked about your strategy beforehand? Allie, I'm sorry if you felt like we didn't care about you as much as you deserved back when you actually did have a membership with us. I understand that you requested equipment repeatedly that we didn't provide. And I admit, I didn't respond to you in a very kind tone the last time I told you no...but asking us over 10 times for ribbons or rope in the back room for you to climb was getting a little much. Especially since we always took the to explain to you how it would put us in a very dangerous legal position. You can't have climbing implements like that in a 24 hour access gym that's unmanned for around 10 hours every night and not expect to be asking for an injury lawsuit. And as angry as you must have been with the stern no that we gave you, it kind of bothered us a little that you kept demanding it after we explained that it would be an existential threat to the gym and that our insurance would cancel us if we did it and they found out. I always thought you knew that we had your back though. Have you ever had any other gym jump all over someone for saying you looked like a man before we did it for you? I seriously doubt it, but apparently it carried absolutely no weight compared to your special friend that's way too important to respect the other members here and clean up after himself. It's all pretty disappointing, but it all still worked out for the best. Our members never have to suffer any of you anymore and that's a good thing for them. They're the ones that matter the most to me. And slander...something you don't know the definition of. Referred to many different behaviors regarding douchebag behavior that we have always described as douchebag behavior that's prohibited in the gym, but was 100% truthful and named no names and on my personal social media page. It would have to have been false AND it would have to identify someone. How can you not know this? The funniest part is that we identify douchebag behavior in the sign-up forms, so you and he and his girlfriend all agreed that his behavior was exactly that...douchebag behavior. But still...gotta act like a jerk and pretend to be a victim when held accountable.

Hi Simone! Thanks for your kind words about the gym. We do our very best to build something incredible where we can give all the tools needed to get anyone where they want to be. It means everything to us. With regard to the bathroom...well, you have a point, but there's a little more to it. The building is EXTREMELY old and the bathrooms can look like they need cleaning right after a good deck scrub and cleaning. It just isn't going to look new and perfectly clean until we can replace what's in there with new materials. Additionally, it's hard to keep a bathroom perfect in a 24 hour gym because the very next member that walks in after a cleaning can urinate all over the seat and make it look absolutely disgusting. We do our best and we've done a pretty good job so far since opening in Mableton. That being said, we did slip a little recently. You're right about that. We were a little overwhelmed with the opening of our secondary location that we offer to our members as a free bonus, so some focus did get lost and that was our mistake. Add to that, we were down a female crew member until recently, which makes it harder because the gym never closes so that a male can dedicate good swaths of time, so we clean when we can. Also, we have two LED lights that have been out, not helping the ambiance at all. We're working on a ton of issues and projects and we don't always accomplish our goals perfectly...or timely, but we're doing our best to do right by our people. Now that the Austell location is open to our members, we are turning our focus to bringing the Mableton location back to where it should be. We've also hired two new staff members since you posted this review. Please be watching as we raise our standards in all ways, including the women's restroom, and if you ever decide that we deserve it, consider adding that additional star. Thanks!

We clean our bathrooms every single day. We're fighting two issues. First, it's an old floor that won't look perfect even if we cleaned it 24/7. Second, it's a 24 hour gym, so if someone is rude enough to make a mess outside of office hours, it's not likely to be addressed until we get there. I'm surprised you didn't just ask us about it before making a negative review, but we put in a good bit of work daily on our bathrooms even if you can't tell because of the older floors and walls. Thank you for the compliment about the gym though. You definitely got that part right.

If something doesn't feel just right, there are several more pieces to choose from. the best thing about this gym is it never becomes stagnant. There are new pieces being added all the time. I have gone to Mark and Kim for specific pieces and inevitably they have already been looking or have purchased what I need. Fantastic experience: I compete in Strongman so for me, it was heaven!!! 24hr access for members!! I joined today!! If you are serious about lifting or a weekend worrier, this place is for you! If it's your day one on your fitness journey to a new, better you... this place is for you too!!
Negative experience: There is a lot of broken abused equipment. More of an instagram fitness gym, which isn't bad if that's what you are looking for. Tried calling for weeks to cancel my gym membership with no answer. Sent text message and I received no reply. Showed up to work out since I couldn't cancel. Turns out they just canceled my membership without any notification. I found this to be a bit inconsiderate and unprofessional. The gym has a lot of equipment which is a plus but again it was more of a instagramy kind of atmosphere vs a serious athletic/ strongman environment. There aren't alot of good alternatives in this area, so this might be a good choice for all you influencers out there.
I'm really sorry for all the confusion you must have gone though, but I'll do my best to help. We do have equipment here on our floor that dates back as early as the 50's. It may be older, but they are vintage pieces that are very special and they're definitely not broken or abused. We throw people out when they try to abuse our equipment, so your suggestion just isn't based in fact. I do understand that some people think equipment has to be brand new to be good, but to be completely honest, I really think the 70's, 80's, and 90's were the best years for gym equipment and there are only a few exceptions to that now...but we do carry brand new equipment too. The longer you're doing this, the better you'll get at understanding the difference between vintage and broken/abused, so just stick with it and you'll learn, no doubt. As far as canceling...we do have a text line that we use for canceling...but calling a text line doesn't make a whole lot of sense. We do have it posted in the gym that you must text that line to cancel, but since only the text message gives proof of a cancelation via the sent and received message, calling isn't an acceptable method. And again, it's the number to TEXT for cancelation. You didn't get a response because it's for cancelation...not for conversations about canceling. Once you finally stopped calling our text line, your text was received and you were canceled as requested. Again, this is posted in the gym, it was in the paperwork that you filled out and agreed to, and it was spoken verbally to you on the day that you joined because it's important to us that everyone understands the process. I'm not sure why you thought it was inconsiderate and unprofessional to find that you didn't have a gym membership after canceling your gym membership. But we did 100% exactly what we said we would do and what you agreed to. In fact, the only person that didn't do what they agreed to do was you, but we're absolutely willing to forgive your inconsiderate comments and your unprofessional manner in attempting to invent your own methods of cancelation that we don't use and never have. As for serious vs. Instagramy...whatever that means, I'm not really sure what you expected. We have over 30 IFBB Pros that train here and one 5 time world champion. Several competitive Powerlifters that hold multiple world and national records and I'm the three time Georgia's Strongest Man. I know you're mad that the text line didn't talk to you on the phone and all, but this review looks more like someone that's just bitter about their lack of personal success. I really hope you're able to turn around and start getting some life victories under your belt. You'll find that achieving some degree of success in life helps to not feel the need to attack someone else's success. I love this gym. It's just beautiful to me and so is the community in it. I'm sorry you weren't ready for it, but I do wish you the best of luck.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym I was in town and always wanted to visit! I got a hotel in Duluth so it was about a 45min drive but I didn’t care I had to see this place and it was well worth it! THIS GYM IS NOT FOR THE PRISSY AND WANTS EVERYTHING HANDED TO THEM ON A SILVER PLATTER TYPE OF GYM GOERS!! BUT if you love that hardcore get after it kind of gym this is for you!! The owner was amazing he responded to me very quickly! PJ was super dope I was beyond stoked that he was so cool and was a training partner to one of my favorite body builders! I was beyond overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the equipment! I could workout here for a year and use a different machine everyday literally! Everything was clean! Super impressed about the cleanliness of the place considering how big it is and the amount of equipment! Can’t wait to visit again! I bought a bunch of shirts and hoodies while I was there as well!! We need more gyms like this!! Thank you all for the awesome experience! I WILL BE BACK!!

It’s amazing to see a gym with such a large variety of equipment from past to present and plenty of space to accommodate any type of lifter that walks in. Plenty of equipment for strongman, bodybuilding, powerlifting, etc. Great staff and members that allowed us to have a Powerlifting meet after our original venue was closed. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best gym in GA if you’re serious. This place is PERFECT. From from I’ve seen, everyone racks their weights, everyone’s respectful, sign up was a 10 minute process. As soon as you walk in you can tell they know their stuff. Every possible machine and more weight than you can handle. I’m beating myself up I didn’t come here sooner. Also 24 hours a day? You absolutely can not beat the price. You get way more than you pay for.
Fantastic experience: Called about 15 minutes before arrival (yay for procrastination) and Mark answered quickly about my questions on day passes since we were in town for the Chicago Pro. This place is an actual body building museum, we walked around for the first 20 minutes just taking it all in. They. Have. Everything. Strongman equipment? Saw the heaviest stones and kegs I’ve ever seen today. Leg press? Got 50 of them. Husafell? Got it. Really nice people, some dude screaming on a hack squat. This is our kind of place. We can’t wait to come back and explore some more. Thanks for having us!

Positive experience: Not a planet fitness type gym. This gym is a fun for serious lifters. There are countless machines that allow you to work on any muscle or muscle group you can think of. I've been to gyms like this before and typically they're pretty grimey. This one was surprisingly clean. There isn't a lunk alarm. Tons of free weights and this gym is massive! Thinking about switching memberships. The only reason I probably wouldn't is because it's entirely to far from my house. But a problemi have with planet fitness is the affordability of it which isn't bad but EVERYONE goes there and it's hard to use the equipment that you really want because everyone is there always on the machines and the guys who are secretly lunks on a budget are hogging the lifting machines and benches etc. I'm not a body builder so i like to get in do my workout and get out and that's hard to do when you can't even get to the machines you want which caused me to buy my own barbells etc so i can workout at home but this gym is amazing to me. I'm down.
