Fantastic experience: First visit to Vaughn. Nice facility on the aquatic at least, and the rest looks good too. I spent an hour doing various things from my pt sessions and then 15 mins in the sauna. I just have aquatic and sauna and the senior monthly for aquatic is super cheap. I'm going to sign up for one class a week as well to start. And work up to maybe two a week. It was fun.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, friendly and family oriented. Great exercise instructors. State of the art gym. Very large swimming pools. They also have a heated pool.

Fantastic experience: We had a birthday party there for a 10 year old. The staff was SUPER friendly, the price was reasonable, and the pool patio was a useful area for a larger party. The kids area is probably a bit too small for anyone over 10. The boys ended up at the lilly pad/rope climb area, as well as the two water slides they had to offer. The rest of the area was for little kids, so keep that in mind during your planning. This is good from about 5yrs-10yrs. The facility provided water & juice, we also brought juice and cups just in case. They also provided plates and napkins. We brought in pizza from nearby. We would.do it again, but with the kids getting older, it just won't hold their interest like it used to. Nonetheless, it's a great spot to get some swimming in during those winter months and bdays!

Fantastic experience: I am blown away! We just signed up for a family membership and have already been three times this week. There is so much to do for all ages, the Pilates class I took had women and men of all ages! My husband plays basketball and everyone is super friendly! The gym has ALOT to offer. Multiple fitness rooms and various levels of equipment. This could easily turn into a second home lol

Negative experience: Worst pool ever i ever see before. Horrible staff, horrible supervisor . My daughter came to have fun, but because she was 47.9 inches the stuff doesn’t allow her to go to slide, police is 48”. Supervisor listening and just said I can’t do anything. Stupid idiots with stupid policies. I’ll never came back and I’ll never recommend this place to my friends.

Fantastic experience: This place is the nicest Park District building I have ever been in. They have tracks, pools, lab pool, indoor water park, basketball courts, volleyball courts and batting cage for baseball.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible hours. It's open at odd times like 2:30-5 and then from 7-9:30. Just look at their site. Its insane to try to plan an activity with your family because they have such restricted hours for literally no apparent reason.

Negative experience: Ridiculous rules. Taking my boys there for swimming classes and we are not allowed to use the locker rooms to change. There was a mom whose daughter needed to use the restroom and the family restrooms had a long line. She asked the girl at the desk to please let her in the locker room so her child could relieve herself and she said that the locker rooms were for members only. Heard things like “stupid” and “ridiculous” coming from many parents that PAY for swimming classes. Wouldn’t recommend this. Go to goldfish or bear paddle instead.

Positive experience: Fun Place for Kids to play. Just had Kids Birthday Parties here. Kids had a blast. Staff was helpful but little rude. Got us in late after 230pm & also rushed us out @ 5pm.

Fantastic experience: What a quality center! Moved over here after the UFC Gym fiasco (shame on those owners) and Juanita was extremely helpful answering my questions, showing us around, and telling us about all of the ins and outs of the center. You can tell Brett really took the time to make the fitness area sufficient for the members too - which I REALLY appreciate. There’s equipment there that wasn’t even at the UFC Gym! I am happy with this switch. Everything happens for a reason and this is a good silver lining.

Fantastic experience: I work out here at Vaughan and also at the Eola Center (both are included with the membership!!). Awesome facilities with super friendly and engaging staff. They also have all kinds of discounts for various employers and HOAs in the area. I highly recommend Fox Fitness!!

Positive experience: We go here for babies swim class & tot rock class since my LO was 14 months. Swim class is decent (they dont/cant teach swimming in such an young age), it is more like babies having a fun time in water with the instructor singing songs and the babies getting rid of the fear. Sometimes, there is not enough space as there are other classes happening very closely. They dont have enough changing rooms which is a drawback. Tot Rock class was good too with Ms.Denise doing various activities to engage and play with the babies which inturn help us in the house.

Fantastic experience: My kids participated in swimming class It's a great place.

Negative experience: Private swim lessons are a joke. Coordinator should be fired. They schedule lesson and then you show up to find no instructors (3 of 7 lessons this was the case). They don’t give the same instructor so you start over with a new person each lesson. In short, find someplace else. Kelley is completely incompetent.

Fantastic experience: This facility is really clean and organized.

Negative experience: Maybe its just a sign of the times were in, or i don't know. Seems like you can't do anything at this gym. Father and son can't even find somewhere to shoot some hoops cause of some stupid age difference rule that I have never heard of in any gym out of the few states I have lived in. Just really disappointing, zero logic, the employees are like corporate robots who can't deviate from. Their managers script and have some soul in there job. So lame. OH but you can walk in smelling like literal dope, and scream expletives. Makes sense.. good job. Can't wait till this place fails and closes down and an actual gym will be here not some park district stuff. Stop enforcing stupid rules on nice families. We know the rules are for the people who can't act right

Negative experience: For working out great place . NOW THE MANS PRIVATE LOCKER ROOM IS TERRIBLE!!! The steam room smells like urine. There were bugs and mold on the walls. There's mold building up everywhere.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy the indoor swim area for the kids although it does get crowded at times it is clean, fun, and reasonably priced. My son loves their sports programs we have done football baseball ect. all their programs have been really great so far

Fantastic experience: Tons of great things to say, The facility is state of the art, very clean, well staffed. The only negative is the pool water was not as warm as signs claimed.

Negative experience: My daughters were registered for swim lesson 3-4. But without consulting or even informing us, they were trained for level 2-3, which they had already cleared at the same facility. I feel cheated.. although their lessons during previous 2 levels were good, the last level lessons disappointed me..

Negative experience: While their facility looks amazing. Their level 1 swim class for babies is not structured, next to loud adult classes & there is no direct instructions on HOW to teach safe swimming. To me it seemed like story time in the water. My child actually got more afraid by class 3. Not to mention our instructor today told us they never taught littles before. And if your child is easily over stimulated - this is not the place. The music from neighboring adult class (same pool) is so distracting and can be dangerous for a little one trying to learn to swim.

Positive experience: Came to a group class but didn’t realize my membership ended and was sent packing by a man attending the card swiping device. I asked if I could renew it after the class because it was starting in 5 min but was not allowed. Very disappointed with this treatment because in the past when this happened, I was allowed to attend the class and sorted out my membership status afterwards. I think all the instructors at Vaughn are great but will not be renewing my membership because of this incident.

Fantastic experience: It is so fun

Positive experience: Love the place but I believe they should clean the locker room showers the time I have gone they are the same they do not clean them well, people who work here are friendly, But the maintenance people should do better on cleaning they just walk in and do nothing on the showers no cleaning or nothing. Otherwise love the place.

Positive experience: Vaughan Athletic Center is a great facility. It is well maintained and in great shape. Due to the size and amenities of the building, it can host various events like sports tournaments, children's events, birthday parties, etc. The one thing that it is lacking, is more thought in the unisex changing for the pool area. For example, just recently (Jan 2022) they added changing tables in the unisex bathrooms. Furthermore, there are no coat hooks or other places to put items while changing. If I bring my daughter to swimming class in the winter, I have to stuff our coats between my legs while assisting her in changing, otherwise risking the coats getting wet on the bench or floor.

Positive experience: It would be nice if they kept the electric vehicle charging/parking alongside with the Tesla electric vehicle charging/ parking working maybe I would get a membership here!

Negative experience: Who would have thought trying to shoot baskets with your son was not allowed. I showed up 3 different times after being told I was not allowed to play due to my age or my sons because of our age. This last time I was told the only way I could play was to sign up for an annual membership. How does that make any sense? 1. Completely not allow to play or 2. Come when ever you want. I am more than willing to pay the daily pass and play at a designated time, but apparently that is not available for parents and their kids. Very poorly managed and run section.

Fantastic experience: We joined this facility recently. I am amazed at the programs that are offered, the facility and equipment and the aquatic center. The staff is so kind and helpful. Such a wonderful feather in the cap of Aurora.

Fantastic experience: Perfect for older adults. upper jogging track is excellent. I run here during bad weather. on the light side..... I questioned as my qualifications as a senior citizen...great staff.

Fantastic experience: I use the lap pool 3-4 times per week. I do my own form of aerobics. The pool is very clean and the lifeguards are always watchful. Sometimes, all 10 lanes are occupied but you can share a lane or learn the busy times to ignore (early mornings).

Fantastic experience: We had a staff member, Hayden, give us a tour of the facility. He was thorough and accommodating, answering all our questions. It is a beautiful facility!

Negative experience: 7/19/24 update. Management here is an absolute joke! Signed my son up for a “full””membership to get ready for football. I specifically got email verification from membership manager Hayden Howes as was told in writing my son could access the full gym. 2 months later I was told by some women man with a bad perm who claimed to be a manger that my son could not use the free weights as they were dangerous? My son is almost 12 years old, has been lifting at home for 2 years and is never more than 5 feet from me when we workout and is constantly monitored by me. So free weights are no more dangerous than machines. But this person said no machines are not as dangerous. I said fine and we left. Then spoke to some other person Holly Wiggins who said she ran the entire gym but I have my doubts as she really didn’t seem to know too much and claimed the website and my contract stated my son could not use the free weights due to his age. This was of course a lie as neither state anything about not being able to use the free weights. Anyways I have contacted a Lawyer as they have breached my contract and I will update again once we have a resolution. Be wary of this place, there is a reason the memberships are so cheap, it’s because of nonsense as this!! Customer service is nonexistent. Been simply trying to add the men’s locker room to my membership for over a week. They say membership department is here till 7. I have been here 4 times in the past week around 6-6:30 and either all membership staff has left for the evening or the person who supposedly can help me is busy at the moment. Definitely need a customer service overhaul as there is no reason the numerous people working the front desk and on their phones cannot accommodate this seemingly simple request I have.

Positive experience: It is OK. The center is getting a bit run down, needs a facelift. But it serves its purpose for me.

Fantastic experience: Most people wear masks even while working out and everything is spaced great. Good machines as well.

Negative experience: The tennis courts are only for kids classes, almost no courts available for members, ridiculous!!!

Fantastic experience: I have had memberships at Planet fitness and Rush Copley's Health Center but I did not enjoy going to either place so I decided to join this Fitness Center after a friend referred me and I am so glad I did. I took one of their exercise classes last night and it was so much fun, but also a great workout. It definitely got me moving. Everyone was very welcoming as well. Thankfully they have daycare because without it I would not have been able to attend. My daughter had a good time too. She was not ready to leave. I am looking forward to attending more classes in the future.

Fantastic experience: The Vaughn is a very fun place to go, it's full of many different amenities and is pretty cheap to get into. You can do anything there from swimming, running, tennis, wieght lifting, gymnastics, ect. There's always something to do there. I usually go there to run on the track and overall it's a pretty nice track. You are able to choose between the upstairs and downstairs tracks which differ in many ways. The downstairs track is a normall indoor track averaging 200m while the upstairs track is more of a square track averaging about 260m.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out and swim. Fun indoor water park completely available to the public reasonable rates. Do not have to live in district to use the facility. Great workout space, day care, classes, tennis and swim. Fun family activities including a fun early New Year's Eve family fun party 12/31 in the afternoon complete with balloon drop.

Fantastic experience: I mainly come for the events at this location. Most recently they had a breakfast with the Grinch event. I think they did a great job putting it all together. I plan on attending future events.

Negative experience: I canceled my membership and they still charged for the rest of the year. I ended it bc the therapy pool was never able to be accessed for anyone. Then to make matter worse sent me to collections and during this time I had no income bc of injury and not able to work.

Positive experience: The gym and equipment is good. Workers are friendly. My rating is my personal experience. I mostly enjoy playing basketball but it is frustrating to know that i can bring a guest with me to work out and use facility equipment but CANNOT bring a guest to play basketball when typically we bring our own ball on a completely open court. I understand if the gym was hosting an event or something. But if the gym is empty I should be able to bring a guest to play basketball.

Negative experience: People should not have to pay a sitting fee of $8. Also no where on the whole web site do they state there is a sitting fee. And if you are doing a sitting fee it should not pass $2. Or if it’s full price give the person a free treat from the concession stand. Worse customer service ever. No one could answer why a sitting fee and since when. They should have it in writing on site and on the website. Instead of getting there and being told their is a sitting fee.

Positive experience: Run an annual table tennis tournament in main field house. Staff is friendly and helpful. The fieldhouse is well lit and large enough to accommodate 30+ table tennis tablrs.

Negative experience: It’s not very good. Me and my family were looking to go ice skating somewhere and it said that there was ice skating at the Vaughn center so we clicked on it because it said we would learn more about it on their website and we found NOTHING!!!!

Positive experience: Great place to get some exercise but the school swim teams that practice here frequently take up to many of the swimming lanes.

Positive experience: Lots of activities offered through the park district.

Negative experience: The water was freezing, the temperature inside was cold. All the kids were shivering. It was hard to have a good time, we stayed for an hour and left. Waste of money.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facility. They have a grand basketball court (athletic area) with a lower and upper surrounding track. At the front, there is a play place for children (kind of like a McDonald's play place) as well as a food bar. The coolest part of this place isn't the locker room, it's the indoor tennis courts and shop. There are 6 courts, all of which can be watched from a window from one end. At the other end, there is a balcony which overlooks the other side's court. There are other amenities as well such as a pool and gym.

Fantastic experience: Modern Construction, clean, feeling of openness with a host of amenities. I use the therapeutic pool and enjoy it very much. First time I have enjoyed exercising ever!

Fantastic experience: Super nice exercise facility. They have many classes that are included in your registration cost. Everyone there is so nice. Has an indoor pool that you pay extra for. Also tennis courts.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to host a kids' indoor pool party! They took care of everything! From decorating in my selected color scheme, to signing kids/parents in as soon as kids arrived at the party room, to serving the food, to explaining the pool rules, to opening gifts, all the way to saying goodbye and distributing balloons, the party staff at the Vaughan Center did it all! I was so very impressed and satisfied with the value AND quality! Thank you FVPD for helping my twins celebrate their 9th birthday with their friends!

Fantastic experience: Here for a basketball tournament What a great facility. All kinds of activities. Snack bar. Sports store, pool. For those that have wheels it is very accessible.

Negative experience: This is an ok gym. They are excellent at offering you all these classes and when you go, they are ridiculous over crowded where you can't move. I couldn't believe it. I tried going different days and times and they are all the same.
