Fantastic experience: This gym is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, equipment is always diligently maintained, the cost is reasonable. This is exactly what I envision when I think of a neighborhood gym. Can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: It's small and the equipment is limited, but they have plenty of racks and benches and 95% of what most people need. No Hammerstrength type machines which is a bummer, and they could do with some heavier dumbbells and a seated stationary bench (and a pullover machine would be nice too, but that's a bit niche). Other gym goers seem awesome, and the trainers seem nice though I've never used them. Kinda an absurd number of bathrooms (is it like 8+? can't remember) for such a small space. Hours are good too. Overall a great little neighborhood gym.

Fantastic experience: I love the medium size, variety of equipment, and ease of everything. Easy parking, easy shower/bathroom, just enough space, easy access, easy start and stop. No issues or concerns. Good mix of folk, all colors, shapes, sizes were there and seemed accepted.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this gym. It's a welcoming place that's diverse in race, age, and body type. The staff is wonderful, it's clean, and had everything I needed. They have trainers that you can hire and they are super helpful and affordable. I started out being trained by Hayden and he willingly offered advice even after I was no longer his client. I was a member here for around 2 years, maybe more. I am moving and have never been more sad to have to leave a gym.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out with good weightlifting equipment and no "gotcha" membership clauses. I've moved a lot and been burned by big gym chains on signup/cancelation fees, but the membership at Liv is straightforward and they even have an option to pause for up to 3 months. Facilities are clean, equipment is solid (3 squat racks, one deadlift platform, 3 bench press stations, KBs, DBs, machines, mats, plyo box, cardio equipment). Crowd is a good mix of experienced and beginners, I never felt out of place.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member here for a year now, and I should have joined a decade ago. They have all the equipment you need, a good member to squat rack ratio, and you can’t beat the monthly cost. I end up disappointed in other gyms when I am traveling because they’re missing equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for the last three years and I enjoyed every minute of it. Jason goes out of his way to create a positive environment for everyone, the equipment is good (has everything that 99% of people would ever need) and the entire gym is very clean, bathrooms and showers included. Five Stars, every day.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, have been here for about 5 months now and have really enjoyed it after coming from LA Fitness. Plenty of squat racks and bench presses for the space and a usually not too busy deadlifting platform. They also have a great assortment of attachments for cable machines, like having several (newish) ropes. Will be sticking around for some time.

Fantastic experience: Was a member for around 4 months and can honestly say the gym is great! I moved so I could no longer go to this gym. Staff was always very friendly with me and also very helpful if I had any questions. The membership price was very inexpensive as well which was nice! Definitely give this place a try if you are in need of a gym with quality weights / equipment and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going for a few months and really enjoy this gym. It’s simple and got all the essentials. People clean up after themselves and the general vibe is just low key and relaxed. People work hard and keep to themselves. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I really like this gym. My only issue is that people keep signing up! It’s been becoming more congested over the past couple of months, which rocks for the gym itself but makes my gym routine challenging to execute. I don’t do well when there’s so many people crammed in a small space and I’ve been going less because of this. I wish this place could expand its floor-plan, but that seems unlikely considering where it’s sandwiched between.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with all the essentials. Loved that it was open every day and I could let myself in anytime - even on Christmas morning! Has everything you need and is never too busy. It’s also a very affordable membership.

Fantastic experience: Went here for about 4 years, one of the best gyms in the area. Only left because my family grew and the local YMCA had more amenities that are good for kids. The gym was always clean, and there were very rarely any machines down ( I recall only seeing it once or twice in my time going here). Lots of treadmills, and I very rarely found myself waiting to use anything as they have multiples of the high use areas (benches, squat racks)

Fantastic experience: I was a member for maybe a year and a half. This is a great gym. Friendly staff who always greet you on your way in and out. Loads of equipment including multiple power racks, leg presses, bench press, and benches for other purposes. Tons of cardio equipment and dumbbells as well. Great location that is easily accessible. Incredibly clean and sanitary. Just overall a great gym with a great staff at a great price. It can get a little busy at times, but with the amount of equipment they have its rarely a problem.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Liv for over ten years now and couldn’t imagine training anywhere else. The gym is clean, well-organized and has all the equipment you need to get in great workouts without a bunch of needless frills that drive the membership price up. The clientele are mature and respectful and the trainers are great but not pushy to those of us who prefer to do our own thing. I pass 3-4 gyms on my route to Liv these days and will keep doing so as long as they’re in business. Thanks to Jason and his staff for running a top-notch neighborhood gym!

Positive experience: Chose not to sign up due to type of weights/equipment. If you're a cardio person who does a bit of weight training you'll probably be quite happy here. If you're a big barbell person this likely isn't your place.

Fantastic experience: Liv has a great community gym feel, awesome music, great equipment, and great staff. I highly recommend it! Also my trainer, Hayden, is fantastic and very knowledgeable -- I would highly recommend using him as a trainer.

Fantastic experience: If you live in Kirkwood, Edgewood, East Atlanta or East Lake, and you're seeking an independent gym with friendly, responsive staff and updated, clean equipment, seek no further. This place is where it's at. Membership pricing is extreme reasonable, and I am always welcome there with a smile. They take COVID safety precautions there seriously. As a female gym member, I always feel safe going there. Other gym members are respectful and friendly too. All in all a welcome mainstay in our neighborhood. Please check this place out if you're looking for a local gym!

Fantastic experience: Finally got a chance to review this place! I have travel around quite a bit and out of all the places I’ve been to, Liv Fitness has been one of my absolute favorite. I’m talking about equipment, size, guests, and the employees. I used to attend around 3-5 but one night I went at 8pm and that was life changing. I had the gym all to myself. Just me and the weights and no one around to watch me struggling. At least go late on your hardest day of your program. It was so sad having to cancel my membership due to another move. However, anytime I am back to visit, I would love to visit. I would also like to shout out Jackie, she was an amazing person. From the moment I signed up with her, she was always so respectful and encouraging. Always had a smile and some days when it was hard, she felt the energy and always lended just a smile. Jason is doing a fabulous job at running this place. I hope he keeps the amount of memberships small because a full gym is never exciting. Best of luck Liv ✌

Fantastic experience: The managers and staff here are extremely friendly and helpful! I love that the gym has 24 hour access and you do not have to fight for parking compared to other Atlanta gyms. Although the gym, does not offer classes, this gym is great for those who want the practical gym staples: bench presses, dead-lifting platform, and squat racks as well as your machines and free weights. Would highly recommend!

Exactly what I need from a gym, with all the free weights & mix of smiths and cardio to craft any type of workout you need. Also navigated the confusion of covid as responsibly as anyone could have, and they were in lead here. The fact is I moved across town and still kept my membership, and it’s a testament to the operation Jason & staff run.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Very clean. Good equipment. Cardio machines as well as strength along with benches and racks. Kettlebells and hand weights. Covid safe. Mask required, temp check, each person gets a bottle of disinfectant to clean as you go.

Fantastic experience: We had recently moved to Atlanta, but were hesitant to get back into a gym. After seeing the steps LIV was taking and the care they have for their members, it was an easy decision to make. They have plenty of equipment and it’s always a great environment. Definitely the best gym around!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I have been a member of. The owner Jason runs a tight ship: equipment is always clean, organized and in working order. The staff is friendly, and the gym goers themselves are respectful. Everyone seems to come and do their business and leave which I enjoy. Also plenty of free weights, and 4 free weight squat racks makes this an ideal place if you take your gains seriously. Covid safety precautions are always in effect. Capacity is capped, and masks are always worn. Spray bottles are provided to each person upon check in and everyone is good about wiping down equipment after use.

I really want to thank them for the wonderful job they are doing during the pandemic. They had great protocols in place to keep members safe. They truly care about their members. Fantastic experience: Great gym with strict covid guidelines. I cancelled my previous membership with a big box gym because I wasn’t comfortable with the number of people and lack of masks. LIV requires all people to wear masks throughout their entire workout and limits the number of people in the gym at a time. They also regularly wipe down equipment in addition to individuals wiping down after use. Staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: This gym is fantastic. I tried it out for a week and loved it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little too far from home, but I REALLY wish it was closer. It had a surplus of every piece of equipment I could possibly want to use, so I never had to wait. It’s a small to medium sized gym, which is perfect. Loved the mom and pop/friendly vibe, but also felt like I could keep my head down and listen to my music and no one would bother me. The owner is very kind, as is everyone who works there. They keep it super clean and follow Covid protocols. Maybe they will open up one in south ATL one day! I’d be the first to sign up.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, been attending for a couple months. Their COVID precautions have been really well executed and the management have had excellent communication. I've been to most of the large chain gyms but my experience here has been my favorite of any gym I've attended.

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome: one-to-one conversations with the owners if anything is wrong, easy to cancel / pause, decent equipment (they even have a hip thruster), and super clean (everyone also gets their own spray bottle!). During covid-19, I was stressed about my health but figured I could not walk inside a gym for the next two years at least based on how its going right now. This is the first gym I found that has an actual mandatory mask rule that they MAINTAIN. It has unstaffed hours - which also is more convenient - but sometimes people pull their masks down under their noses. I've never had a problem with this because letting the owner know has always solved the issue. Working out with a mask is also super easy - and even if its a slight inconvenience, at least you aren't choosing to hurt people! The capacity is limited right now because of covid, and it makes it even safer. The best part has to be knowing that I can walk into the gym every day not feeling scammed. The money is staying within local Atlanta since this isn't a huge chain, and I get to take care of my health while not contributing to an awful pandemic.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!!! Lacey, the lead trainer and owner, is super hands on and keeps her class sizes smaller than your typical group fitness studio. This ensures you get the personal training feel in a group setting. Lacey and her employees are all so encouraging and push me to my limits EVERY TIME. I look forward to working out and enjoy seeing myself change physically and emotionally. A++++ for Liv Fit Studio!!

Positive experience: The gym is probably the cleanest I’ve ever used. The owners and staff are very nice and are constantly cleaning the place all day. It’s on the smaller side but they have all the essentials. I’ve only seen it packed once or twice, which is great IMO. Membership dues are very reasonable and I was even approached by the owner totally unsolicited letting me know he saw an aspect of my membership he could change that would save me a couple of bucks. That’s a standup business owner. My one and only complaint is the mandating of masks while working out. I’m sure others think it’s great and clearly the owners think it’s the right thing to do. However, for me, it’s a step too far. I’ve been working out there for months and it just really sucks to go through a hard workout with a mask on. You DO NOT get used to it, you just accept it. I’d be very happy if they would make masks optional and let those who would like to take the risk do so. Other than that, it’s a fantastic gym that I’d recommend to anyone who doesn’t need or what a giant globo-gym.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Liv Fitness since around February of this year, right before they had to shut down because of the pandemic. Now that they are open again, I am extremely impressed with how seriously they are taking keeping the gym clean and safe for their members. Today, as I was walking into the gym, one of the staff members was POLITELY asking another member to wear their mask correctly. This man's mask was barely covering his nose or mouth, deeming it useless and unsafe. The staff member explained to him very clearly why it was dangerous for everyone at the gym, and kindly offered the man a mask to wear that was appropriate. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am to be a member of a gym where the staff are taking this seriously. The gym is one of the higher risks places to be, and I appreciate that they go above and beyond to keep the gym clean and their members safe.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym since opening. It is always clean, well run and never crowded. The owner, Jason, is always attentive professional and friendly. The gym is well equipped with all the best equipment and machines. All the members are great about mask wearing and cleaning equipment after themselves. I feel very safe there during these covid days. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Liv Fitness is (without exaggeration) the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. I’m not a fan of the mega-gym vibe. Liv is small enough to let me work out in my own space, but big enough to give me a community. The crew is awesome, helpful and friendly. The rates are incredible for the value you get. Jason runs his ship high and tight. Since COVID-19 hit the Liv Fitness family keeps the gym safe and sanitized as well. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Edgewood and started coming to Liv a few months ago. I joined at the beginning of when Atlanta started re-opening and was very hesitant to go to a gym because of COVID but Liv took the proper and necessary precautions to make everyone feel safe. Everyone gets their own disinfectant spray and masks are mandatory. The staff there are super friendly and make you feel like family and get to know you on a first name basis. They’ve got all the free weights, squat racks, equipment, and machines you need to have a great workout. I come 4/5 times a week and am very happy I joined — would highly recommended anyone to get a membership here!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for about 9 months now. I'm still just as pleased as I was when I started. The staff members are friendly, the gym is clean, and there's equipment and space for many forms of exercise. Yoga: I started taking the yoga classes soon after joining. I was reluctant at first because the yoga space was small, and the sound from people exercising was distracting. The yoga teacher made a great point though: we need to have ways to center ourselves *especially* when we can't escape from the distractions around us. After a month or so I learned greater focus. I am now largely able to tune out the environmental distractions around me. The small space actually lends well to the style of yoga she teaches which involves giving individual feedback on posture and safety. And one of my favorite things about this practice is how the instructor incorporates small passages of wisdom from various sources to reflect on and learn from. -------------------------------------- Original review: Beautiful gym with plenty of racks, benches, dumbbells, and kettle bells. They've also got some nifty cardio machines that support HIIT and weight machines that monitor your reps and break time. The owner and assistant/yoga teacher were both kind and informative. All the equipment is clean and well maintained. Edit 2018-12-21: I forgot to mention, the membership is month to month, not a year long contract, which is reflective of the general attitude I see which is that they sincerely want their members to be happy with their membership.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym for people who want to get in and out and do their own thing. Everyone is friendly and pretty much keeps to themselves. It's female-friendly...there are plenty of women using the weights and the men in the area don't make you feel like you've wandered into their territory by being on the weights side. There's a lot of machines and it's never super crowded.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a clean, well-kept, and relatively inexpensive gym that has the important essentials (bench press, squat racks, free-weights, treadmills, and ellipticals), then you should give this gym a try. I've been coming here for a year and it's quickly become my favorite gym I've been a member of. Never super crowded and lots of space. No real negatives - if I had to mention one thing it was that it always took me two swipes of my key-card to open the door; more than likely this was due to user error though, lol. I'm sad to be moving away from the area and I don't think I'll find another gym as great as this one.

Fantastic experience: I am sorta picky when it comes to gyms, having worked at them I can be weird about cleanliness and the overall layout. For such a small space Liv really did a great job with placement of this facility. I also love how clean and re-racked it is. Its only a plus that the people who work their are awesome. Something for everyone. Not the most equipment but you can always find a substitute exercise!

Fantastic experience: Just a really great gym! The owners/managers there are incredibly kind and helpful. Jason in particular was completely understanding on an issue I had with billing and made sure to take care of my issue asap. The environment is great for any one. You don't feel intimidated and are able to work out how you want to work out. Pricing is really great and no contract. Highly recommend!
