Barry's Bootcamp: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great workout with a very engaging and motivational trainer.
Fantastic experience: Bueno
Fantastic experience: Very engaging class as always. I do not do membership so I buy class packs. It is awesome. No obligation and easy to use. Give them a try!
Fantastic experience: Love Barry's Palo Alto! Great vibe! Instructors are amazing, the community is fun, and the workout is world-class!
Fantastic experience: Love this Barry’s! The receptionists are always kind and smiling, and the gym is super clean!
Fantastic experience: Instructor Megan is a star! She's engaging, dynamic, professional, and always on point. She boosts the room with her energy, personal touch, and genuine care for her Fit Fam. You're in great hands with this top-notch leader!
Fantastic experience: Great workout! Instructors push you to your limit. You should probably know how to properly lift weights before going so one doesn’t get hurt.
Positive experience: At Barry’s Bootcamp in Palo Alto, darling, the energy is always electric, honey! The instructors are fierce, serving up motivation and knowledge like nobody’s business. The front desk staff? Total dolls, making check-in as easy as a catwalk. Now, let’s talk about the glam in those locker rooms! OUAI products? Divine, sweetie! They add that touch of luxury that we queens deserve after a killer workout. But, mmm, sometimes those other clients need a lesson in manners, honey. Still, with the love and support in that room, we keep on slaying, boo! And those showers? They could use a little extra love, but hey, we’re still shining like stars, baby! ✨
Fantastic experience: Great studio, great instructors. If you go after 4, leave yourself enough time to park!
Fantastic experience: Great workout
Fantastic experience: Your typical Barry's.
Fantastic experience: Great workout but use the earplugs - very loud!
Positive experience: Price goes up, quality goes down …
Fantastic experience: Great fun!
Fantastic experience: Great workout.
Fantastic experience: Pretty fun and intense workout class. Focus is definitely on burning calories. Basically consists of running sprints, and hiit weightlifting and body weight routines.
Negative experience: the music is so loud... my ears are still buzzing! When I asked them to turn it down they gave me ear plugs that they have available, indicating that it's a known problem. The workout is ok, but nothing special.. so with this loud music problem, it's not worth going even if they have such nice amenities in the locker rooms.
Fantastic experience: High energy workout
Positive experience: I had fun! The ventilation left something to be desired and the per-class price seemed high at $36. But the vibe and instruction were solid. I’d happily return.
Positive experience: Is nice place to workout
Fantastic experience: Getting back to it and feels great to be back in the red room @ Palo Alto Barry's, thank you Katie!! She's motivating, pushes you to challenge yourself, and great music!! HIGHLY recommend her class!
Fantastic experience: Amazing work out and community at Barry's Palo Alto! Pre pandemic, during the pandemic, and post pandemic - they've taken every precaution to ensure safety while also making sure you have fun and get a great workout in. I was working out until I was 37 weeks pregnant and the instructors and staff always provided support by cheering me on and modifying classes as I got further along into my pregnancy. I couldn't have had such a seamless delivery and amazing pregnancy without the team at Barry's! All of the instructors are super motivating, push you to do your best yet meet you where you are. I have seen such a difference in my strength and endurance!
Positive experience: Very motivating and great workout, but music is incredibly loud and ears rang for a week after.
Negative experience: Too crowded ,not real fitness or hard core ,only attractive as a trend place !
Negative experience: Great instruction and energy. The instructor repeatedly overloaded the speakers to the point that the music was distorted and ruining the speakers. It was painful, and ruined what was otherwise a solid workout. My ears are still ringing. Staff at front desk later told me that they keep earplugs, though they didn't offer them before or during the class.
Positive experience: If you want working out to feel like clubbing you've come to the right place. High noise and high energy with lots of fist bumping. But the lockers are very clean and smell nice
Negative experience: Great if you like to be confined in a dark room with super loud music at 6 am. Horrible if you don t ! Full disclosure: I Love sport but work out bores me in the first place
Fantastic experience: Book a class now! Barry’s totally lives up to the hype and is really worth it. The team is great and Coach Al is super fun. The workout is most effective, engaging and fun! The results are great too. Totally recommend and so glad Barry’s is here!
Positive experience: Highs and Lows after my first Barry’s Class. HIGHS: I like the circuit training concept with good music and good energy in the room. It’s great having a combination of weights and cardio on the treadmill keeps the flow throughout the class. I liked how the instructor reminded us to breathe.. super important! LOWS: The workout was incredibly difficult to follow. I was looking to my neighbors and seemed everyone was doing something different on the floor and treadmill. I also didn’t like how the instructor came by and adjusted the weights during my dumbbell press on my back. He quickly moved the weights when they were straight above my face. Lucky I had a solid grip on them!
Fantastic experience: Pros and cons after my 3 class starter pack (highly recommended): Pros 1. You will burn a billion calories. Bring water, this workout is no joke. 2. Instructors are super motivating. They challenge you to push yourself in a good way. 3. Class goes by fast. You’re doing something different almost every minute so you never get bored. Cons 1. Instructors don’t have time to help you. If you have an injury or haven’t done a move before, don’t expect to ask for help with form. 2. Equipment isn’t sanitized during class. You jump between a treadmill and a bench with bands or weights that aren’t sanitized between uses. 3. It’s expensive. You can buy classes in bulk and save a little, but going 2-3x/week will set you back over $300 a month. Other than that, they have a great location, ample class times, yummy shakes, and nice locker room amenities. Hope to keep going as long as my body and bank account allows!
Fantastic experience: The best service and trainers in the bay plus the energy of a group workout
Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend Barry’s to anyone! I made a reservation online for a Sunday morning 9:30AM class. I come and figure out my reservation doesn’t show up in their system. I thought it’s my fault and prepare to head back. The receptionist asks me to wait saying that she’ll put in waitlist. A few minutes later I am asked to go join the class. In the middle of the class, I am asked to stop since the person who actually made the reservation came. Why give me the spot in the first place? So unprofessional! I wouldn’t go back to this ever again.
Fantastic experience: Clean studio. Friendly instructors. Make new members feel extra comfortable and welcome! ️♀️ They also have a juice bar to serve all your protein shake needs!
Fantastic experience: Best workout ever, Great coaches and phenomenal service. So happy you are in Palo Alto.
