Fantastic experience: I signed for a couple's membership for the month and really enjoyed the facilities. The gym itself is small and lacks a squat rack, but the equipment is in good shape. It's also never crowded in the afternoons/evenings -- the most I saw was 6 others in the gym. Keycard access is smooth, and the front desk is friendly. Note that there is no water fountain in the gym. For the price they charge, the amenities can't be beat.

Negative experience: Angry Staff and management, enough said

Negative experience: Inaccurate hours, online says they are open 5am-11pm. It’s 7am and not one soul is around.

Fantastic experience: I recently went to the gym, and enjoyed the cleanly environment. It was small and not a lot of foot traffic. The big gyms are not my speed. It’s almost like a cozy home gym. The owners and staff are also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I recently signed up for a new membership and I am beyond satisfied. Never have I been to a gym that's as clean and not as busy. I work a 9-5, so I was pleasantly surprised to not have to wait for a treadmill or leg press to become available. I'm happy to have found a gym to help me achieve my fitness goals. Also, I feel safe that you need a card to access the facility.

Fantastic experience: I met the previous owners and saw how well they ran the business. They offered me an opportunity to purchase the business and now I'm looking forward to build a great family friendly gym experience in Emerald Hills.

Negative experience: New membership via my company insurance. I went for the first time this past Friday morning, the door was open and I walked in to see a few people working out quietly. I step out to grab a towel from my car and when I tried to re enter the door was locked. Apparently someone inside locked the door to keep me out and the signs on the building explained no one was to open the door for anyone outside… mind you nothing on the website said I needed to come at certain hours to be met by an actual staff member. I’ve since cancelled my membership as I got the feeling the all white elderly who were inside were not comfortable with my brown skin coming to workout amongst them. Sad cause I thought I read the owner was a woman of color whose also a veteran… this coming from a veterans daughter and employee of the Dept of VA. Planet fitness in redwood here I come!

Negative experience: They won't cancel my membership over the phone or email. I have moved and can't be there in person to cancel the membership. So they just keep charging me every month. With this experience I can't recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Awesome coaches, professional and responsive staff. Super clean equipment and well maintained. Really motivates me to keep going back every week!

Fantastic experience: I like this gym because it’s small and no cocky people here. Staff is polite and helpful. Quiet neighborhood. No traffic. There is always parking available. Also a couple decent small restaurants available…enjoy . I wish they had a spot outside to park and lock bikes.

Fantastic experience: Small, friendly, great people

Positive experience: Clean small facility. It was on the Silver Sneakers website. Would have joined but uninformed front desk staff. He wanted me to call my medical insurance for a letter that it was OK to join. I belong to Medicare and have Silver Sneakers through my secondary insurance. I've only provided my Silver Sneakers card when I have joined 3 other facilities (one near my house, one near my in laws house, and the last near a friend I visit frequently).

Negative experience: The location hours are posted but you would find it nearly impossible to find a person inside during those hours. If you do not have a membership you probably won't be able to get one with the way their hours work.

Positive experience: Perfect for me. Conveniently located, always parking, and often isn't crowded when I go. Has machines and free weights, and trainers with flexible schedules. No showers, but I am close to home, so no issue. Owner cares, and will talk to members with questions or issues. I have been known to tell her to go home when she stays too late!

Fantastic experience: TOBIN8R Class Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

Positive experience: Clean and friendly staff but very small, not a wide selection of machinery and pretty cramped. We came here to test it out and will be staying with our 24 hour membership instead.
