He has dedicated his whole life to this sport and it shows in the quality of Jiu Jitsu he teaches. He articulates the technique extremely well so everyone can comprehend. Professor Hensley would also never ask you to do anything he wouldn’t do, whether it’s in training or competition he stays very active in this sport.

Fantastic experience: I have been a student at Hensley’s for a little over a year and a half. I am always impressed with Professor Hensley’s ability to teach all levels of jiu jitsu. He instructs his students in a manner that allows both beginners and experienced practitioners attain new levels of knowledge and performance - from beginners learning new techniques, to experienced practitioners learning small details that can be implemented to greatly improve their game. Each class is comprised of a well rounded group of individuals, from beginners and hobbyists, to dedicated and experienced competitors, providing the opportunity for anyone to fit in, regardless of their age or physical abilities. His coaches are well versed in his training and provide superb instruction in their respective classes. The academy is very accepting of newcomers & visitors and enjoys seeing each other succeed in improving their skills and abilities. I like how Professor Hensley and his coaches teach a good balance of grappling and takedowns and also how the techniques can be applied to real life self defense situations as well as jiu jitsu competitions. Fantastic experience: Best jiu jitsu in southern Oklahoma. Incredible coach who is a Rafael Lovato Jr. black belt and still actively competes in tournaments all over the world. Nobody does it like Hensley’s.

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I have ever made was to train under the direction of Coach Hensley. The level of instruction provided by Coach Hensley is top-notch! He is helping me to get “more” out of myself. And, he understands that everyone’s jiu jitsu journey is different. So, he is able to adapt to each student and allow them to progress at their own pace. Lastly, it’s a positive place with positive team-mates that I look forward to seeing!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School and best in class instruction. I started BJJ in Houston and was worried I wouldn’t find a quality school in a smaller town. That worry quickly went away after trying a couple of different schools and landing at Hensley. Coach Nick is an incredibly thorough instructor and takes his time with every student, my training partners are fantastic. Great environment and I’m there every chance I can get. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Fantastic experience: The first 3-4 months will be tough, no other word can describe it. You will wake up on training days and want to stay home, but the Coach and people at this place will give you the motivation through their examples to go and will rebuild you. This is some of the best training I have had in my military/LE carrier and even benefits me in my day to day life. “Don’t get ready be ready” is one of the schools mottos and probably their best
