Fantastic experience: The staff has all been very helpful with me, the machines are clean, and the equipment all seems to be in good condition. I really feel comfortable here and haven’t received any negative attention, even when I have been tugging knobs attempting to adjust seats and looking helpless.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and borderline criminal. They took down my credit card information over the phone when I called to buy a membership for my son. I’ve been trying to call them for weeks, but they won’t respond to my voice messages and they never answer their phone. One of their employees has my card information and who knows what problems could arise from this?

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here since July of 2015. I cannot say enough about both the individuals who train there, as well as ownership and the facility itself. A "lifters gym", the MGG is designed for the person looking to get smarter, stronger, and longer in the sport of strength. They offer a variety of equipment for strength building, knowledgeable/experienced team members to learn from, and an array of tools to assist with recover. If you're within a couple hours of Waukegan, they are worth the visit!

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym around july 2016 because i became tired of commercial gyms with crap equipment and more treadmills than air molecules. Within the first week i fell in love. The owner helped me correct my form and had some of the other experienced and seasoned lifters form spot me. I was introduced to powerlifting here. The environment is we got things to do here. Everyone here is about pulling the very best out of the other. There is no selfishness here. There is no barbie music like in commercial gyms. Its a mixture of rock, rap, and anything else that considered hardcore This place is rugged, gritty and hard. An environment that makes fine cut diamonds from coal. Theres so much knowledge here with raw lifters and geared lifters. Definately the best house of strength ive ever been too.

Fantastic experience: Have been lifting here since 2015. MGG is an ideal gym for anyone who is serious about powerlifting and strongman, with friendly and helpful lifters. There's a real atmosphere of camaraderie here. Also very welcoming to women who are interested in the sport!

Whether you're stopping by from out of town and need somewhere to lift weights, or finding a place to make your new gym, you'll find a great environment full of knowledgeable lifters who are willing to help out even the most novice of powerlifters, or any athlete, in any way they can.

Fantastic experience: MGG is an amazing gym. I've been training there since April 2011. Prior to that I lifted in a few commercial gyms and my home gym. MGG is a very welcoming gym. There are plenty of lifters there to offer help. While there are no quote "trainers" at MGG, what you do have are a core group of lifters who honestly what you to be the best you can be. So, if you are serious about your lifting, there isn't a better gym around.
