Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Ashley, owner of Maxed Out Fitness in Annapolis. I have trained with Ashley at other gyms but today was my first session with Ashley at her own gym. Of all the trainers I have worked with, Ashley is by far and away the best. Knowledgeable, professional and totally invested in giving the best workout for each person. And I love what she has done with Maxed Out Fitness. MOF is a boutique gym, with everything I am used to in a larger gym, but with a more personal, family vibe. It's modern, friendly, and clean with plenty of space for classes or individual workouts. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful Maxed Out Fitness is - I know that may sound too good to be true, but it’s the people inside that make this gym somewhere you WANT to go. I decided I had to check off a goal before graduating that had been on my bucket list my entire high school career… joining a gym. I’m an active person, I participate in various sports, but I’ve always found it hard to stay consistent working out. So I google searched trainers in my area. I liked the Maxed Out Fitness website and they made their contacts accessible. Robbie, a personal trainer at the gym - quickly responded to my inquiry and got me in for a fitness assessment! (Don’t be scared, this isn’t a test. It’s just a meet and greet with your trainer where you do certain exercises to test your strength and mobility, and to discuss your goals.) After my assessment I knew I had made the right decision choosing Maxed Out Fitness and my experience only got more positive moving forward. I haven’t walked through the front door without being met with friendly greetings and happy faces. But Robbie in particular has made my time and commitment to working out so enjoyable. Working out with Robbie I have been able to see results and gain self confidence. He answers ALL of my questions and doesn’t mind my constant whining while working out. All of the equipment is extremely safe and I never feel scared to say “hey this is too heavy”. The trainers are there to assist, motivate, and teach - they only want the best for you! But only you know what your body is feeling, so don’t hesitate to speak up if something feels off, this is information they need and want to be aware of! If you still aren’t convinced remember that this is a private gym. Joining a gym is intimidating but at Maxed Out Fitness the most caring and nicest trainers, choose their clients. Which means you will be surrounded by other clients that are just as amazing as you. I think you’ll surprise yourself at how much fun you can have working out if you choose Maxed Out Fitness. Especially if you get to work out with Robbie - the dude is funny and we’re never not laughing. Seriously the amount we laugh basically counts for my core workout that week. Good luck!! Fantastic experience: Maxed Out Fitness is the place to be!! I started out my fitness journey here with Robbie and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Robbie and all the staff at Maxed Out have been extremely welcoming and have curated the perfect environment that has me feeling comfortable and coming back week after week. This is my first experience with a personal trainer, and Robbie has exceeded my expectations. He is super easy to chat with and is always down to laugh. He has taught me a lot and works with me to achieve my goals. Robbie also creates my workouts thoughtfully, with my lifestyle in mind. For example, in my workouts he implements the muscles and movements necessary to complete my work as a nurse in an acute care setting and also chooses activities to help decrease my knee pain. Robbie is quick to give praise when deserved and has really helped to boost my confidence in myself and in the gym. I would recommend Robbie to anyone looking to find the perfect coach and cheerleader for their fitness journey. Can’t thank him and Maxed Out Fitness enough!
Fantastic experience: It took five years of moving in this area and trying almost every gym to finally find this gem! From the first moment Garrett messaged me back, to trying my first class and singing up has been seamless. Garrett is one of the best trainers/coaches but everyone there is dedicated to making sure you’re in a safe, clean and fun environment while getting stronger. I love the bootcamp classes with Garrett and Robbie!

Fantastic experience: So happy I’ve made this investment in myself. I’ve been doing personal training with Garrett 2/week for 5 months working towards body recomp, and it’s working. I am losing lbs. while gaining muscle. Garrett is great about perfecting form before adding weight, and super helpful and realistic with nutrition (specifically protein intake and avoiding crash diets). It’s a small gym, focusing on personal training and bootcamp. The whole maxed out staff, Ashley, Robbie and Garrett, while all super fit, are friendly, nonjudgmental, and have a positive vibe. They make it easy to keep faith that results come with consistency.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym and workout program!! Robbie has been amazing to work with and we're crushing my goals. He pushes me harder than I thought I was capable of. While goal oriented, every session is different and adjusted day-to-day to what I need. Keeps me on my toes. Couldn't be happier and I look forward to each and every sessions. Fantastic experience: I moved to Annapolis, MD a year ago and wanted to really try something new with putting time in the gym. I am so glad I found Maxed Out fitness. Their team is awesome and the bootcamps are killer. Personally, I can’t say enough good things about my experience with my personal trainer, Garrett Lanham. I told Garrett I was looking to build muscle and in a couple of months of workouts with him, I was able to completely transform and actually see results. I am stronger than I ever have been and am incredibly grateful to him for motivating me to stay after it. Not only have I enjoyed my one on one personal training sessions with him, but have also really enjoyed his bootcamps. If you’re looking for an awesome personal trainer and great group to workout with, I’d highly recommend meeting with Garrett.
Fantastic experience: Ashlee customizes every workout for what’s going on with your body. My neck and shoulders were toast for over two years following a bike accident. After six weeks of working out with Ashlee, I can lift my paddleboard over my head to stow it and carry it w/o pain or repercussions. That’s my definition of success!!

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility that provides a client-centric experience. I have been working with Garrett for the past several months and have gained significant strength, flexibility, and energy. He is a complete professional and keeps the workouts both challenging and creative. Membership plans include full gym access, even outside of trainer sessions. Fantastic experience: My experience at maxed out fitness has been amazing and has allowed me to focus on my personalized goals in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. The people here are so friendly and encouraging and my personal trainer, Garrett, has been such a huge part of my fitness journey. As someone who has struggled a lot with asthma in the past, it can be difficult to be consistent and motivated when it comes to exercising. Garret has definitely created a positive training experience that has allowed me to push myself and better manage my overall wellbeing. Not only is he very attentive to my technique and form, but he has been very mindful to monitor how I’m feeling physically throughout each session. He knows exactly when I need accommodations or adjustments to ensure my safety and optimal results, and when I’m able to be pushed in order to gradually progress in my training program. He has been so supportive in helping me achieve my fitness goals and has tailored each training session to my specific needs. Fantastic experience: I met Ashley at another gym and when she struck out on her own I said "let me know when and where your new gym opens up and I will be there. Her attention to selecting the proper exercises to accomplish my goals and having me do them correctly is amazing. She is a true professional in her field. Fantastic experience: TL;DR: Working with Ashley over the past year has resulted in a transformation that I can’t put a price on. Ashley is the real deal. She is incredibly knowledgeable in foundational techniques and the latest science and she leverages her expertise to customize a plan based on individual goals. It’s empowering and enjoyable. I came to Ashley in January 2022 with the goal of improving flexibility and strength to alleviate years of back pain. My back pain was quite debilitating at times which impacted all aspects of my life and I wanted to take proactive steps to avoid surgery. This past year, working with Ashley a couple times a week, has resulted in a complete change in mobility. Over the past 9 months, not only has my back pain completely subsided but I have more stamina and strength then I had in my 30’s. Again, this is a transformation that I can’t put a price on.
Fantastic experience: Great place-TRX, cable, free weights, erg, bikes - everything needed for full body workout. Energetic and engaging trainers, with a seemingly endless menu of workouts. While all three trainers are excellent, most time has been spent with Kristen. She is fantastic! She makes even a very strenuous workout achievable. The atmosphere is friendly and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: Maxed Out fitness is a great gym to work towards your individual fitness goals. After ACL replacement surgery my primary focus was regaining strength and stability in my right knee and leg. As soon as I started training with owner, Ashley, and trainer, Robbie, I started gaining confidence I had not had in almost a year. They are both extremely knowledgeable and pay attention to every little detail during each training session. Every workout has been custom tailored (no boredom from the same old thing!) and they are present: not just physically by my side but mentally checked in and focused on me - making adjustments to correct my form or swapping to a different exercise to make sure I’m getting the most out of each session and not injuring myself. This is invaluable- I trust them to keep me on track and safe. My balance and strength have returned allowing me to get back to my true passion- riding horses. I owe it all to the Maxed Out Team!
Fantastic experience: I’ve had at least 5 trainers at other facilities over the last 15-20 years so I have something to compare. Ashley Hesgard is by far the best I have had or seen. The other trainers at Maxed Out follow her example. They listen to understand what the client is attempting to accomplish, complete a full assessment of skills, abilities & problem areas. Each session is individualized and adapted based on ability to perform. The gym is not full of muscle bound people strutting their stuff. It’s a personal trainer based model so you can be old like me working on balance & maintaining good muscle strength or young and working on athletic performance - we all belong! The gym is aesthetically pleasing, as well! It is thoughtfully set up & decorated. My daughter found Maxed Out after trying numerous gyms in the area & insisted I go as well. She wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Maxed Out Fitness. For me, the efficient, 30-minute private training sessions are ideal. Kristin makes every workout unique and she knows exactly what will challenge me without making me uncomfortably sore the next day. She is great at explaining and demonstrating correct technique. The studio space is well-designed and immaculate, and the overall vibe is sincerely friendly and relaxed.

The climate and culture of the facility is one of support, inclusion and FUN. I LOVE the 30 minute training model as my schedule is FULL but I can still dedicate time to my health. Fantastic experience: I have a very physically demanding job which requires a lot of traveling. I work with high profile clientele and my work schedule can be grueling. Within the last 5 years I have noticed significant atrophy in my muscles and as a result started to have a physical pain and difficulties keeping up with my schedule. My nutrition was all over the map. I did what most people do. I signed up at a gym and started working out. I built a decent base for strength, but I still had work related injuries and unexplained physical pain. I was not seeing much progression on my own. I met Ashley late last fall. She created a custom workout program designed for my fitness level, career and specific goals. I appreciated the assessment she made prior to creating my plan. She quickly discovered that I had muscles which were not firing, therefore other muscles were taking on too much of the load and as such were causing injuries and pain. This issue has improved more than 75% in a very small window of time since working with her. I don't always workout in her gym because of the distance, but Ashley has enabled me to feel confidence in the workouts she has created for me to do on my own and is always quick to respond to any questions I may have. I have seen massive changes in my physical, cardiovascular, and mental strength in a relatively short time. I feel incredible success every time I master a difficult workout. I am doing workouts I never dreamed I would be able to do when I was younger let alone at my age! Ashley is also supporting me in changing my nutritional habits to support my specific needs. I am learning the how and why and not just focusing on caloric numbers. She is incredibly motivating, kind and has an infectious personality. Age is just a number. Anyone can become fit at any age. I can say without hesitation meeting Ashley and being a part of the Maxed Out Community is the best decision I made for my health. It has changed my life.

Owner Ashley performs a detailed intake/assessment to see what you need and how to best help you achieve your goals, and then she pairs you up with either herself or one of her wonderful personal trainers! My trainer, Robbie, knows just how to push you to accomplish more than you thought possible, and is there to ensure you are using proper form and techniques so you make gains without injuring yourself. Everyone on the staff is warm and friendly, with just the right amount of push! It's truly a fitfam environment!
Fantastic experience: Many years ago, I separated from the Marine Corps as a 185 pound meat machine of strength, health, and athletic stamina. Health and fitness came effortlessly in a profession of being paid to work out on the clock, free gyms, and the potent elixir of youth in a bravado gang of warriors and gunslingers-- profane and lovable maniacs all. In civilian life, I'm a husband and father of two. My career no longer involves scaling high rises under construction, but rather unanswered emails atop the summit of Mount Outlook. My tan is the finest in all the fluorescent lighting cubicle landscape. Sending print documents to the furthest away printer, despite what my step counter said, was not the path to strength and juicy physique-- nor was the daily assault and fire mission with extreme prejudice on the break room vending machine. Anyone reading this remembers March 2020 to earlier this year. More than a few of you reading this developed some habits that all known physiological science says is not a freeway, but a missile launch into an early grave. There's no judgement on my part. A year into working out of one's basement alters even the sanest of decision-making processes. Daily 2PM conference call cocktail? Three shots of bourbon? Why not? The phone has a mute button. Treat yo'self!! When you stay away from strength training long enough, you forget how to do it to a startling degree. You forget the form, the planning, or what muscle groups to work and how intensely without injuring yourself into a failure-to-launch recovery session. That sort of early injury kills motivation and swallows whole the aspirations of many who begin the pilgrimage back into the temple of iron and glory to pray for the swoles and gains (and losses, where wanted). So if you're that guy (or gal) who has hit a point of wanting or needing hop back on the train to Gainsville-- Robbie (or any of the folks at Maxed Out) won't steer you wrong. Don't be intimidated by his statuesque physique and boyish good looks. His knowledge of strength training and physiology is encyclopedic. He will teach you to work muscle groups you never knew you had or the name of. He'll work you to your limits and then some with never a dull conversation or shortage of humor. Some days you'll need that humor to carry you through those moments you converse with the Almighty over your mere mortal strength. Six months on, and I'm back to feeling a lot less like the forty year old office worker living in suburbia with the dad bod who is haunted by memories of his previous physical health... and a hell of a lot more like the husband and father I need to be. Give Robbie a call, and get after it. And if you want to set the mood for a great training session, tell him you "want to feel amazing, bro," and you will.

I have trained with Ashley, the owner, three times a week for the past year and a half and she has not only helped me move past chronic injuries/pain but has helped me get into the best shape of my life. I have also trained with Kristen (before Maxed Out was open) and she is an incredibly talented trainer as well - especially for all the pre and postpartum moms out there! Do not hesitate to check this place out!!

Incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, encouraging, and very well experienced. No worries if you haven’t been to the gym in a while or even have the best eating habits. She’ll meet you at yours needs! (An absolute no judgment zone) in the short span of time I’ve been a “family” member already seen results mentally and physically. I truly appreciate a person like Ashley. Fantastic experience: Maxed Out Fitness is great with a 5 Star rating. I have known Ashley, the owner and trainer for over 10 years and I greatly appreciate her as a skilled professional, business owner and friend. I trained with her in the past preparing for 500 miles in 7 days bike ( bicycle not motorcycles!) trips. She did a great job getting me ready so that I performed well especially on those days that were 100 mile rides. More recently I started working out with her two days a week where she is constantly making adjustments to meet my needs which is important at 68 years! She pushes me to do my best. The equipment and facilities are top notch and having access 24x7 to work out on my own is a plus. Ashley and all of the trainers and other clients create a great environment where no matter where you are in your fitness level you are welcomed and encouraged.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in town! I joined Maxed Out Fitness hopeful to take my fitness goals to the next level. Starting with boot camps in a group setting was a great way to get introduced to the trainers, their fitness philosophy and the gym family. I began working with Ashley in personal training to kick things up a notch. I quickly saw her expertise shine through in my programming. I trust her plan to keep me moving and progressing each day. In the past month I have worked out every day in some capacity, never feeling burnt out or fatigued. The positive transformation in my strength, stamina, balance and body composition is exactly what I had been seeking from local fitness professionals. 5 star rating for the Maxed Out Team!!
Fantastic experience: My husband and I are seniors, and we’ve been working out at Maxed Out Fitness with our trainer Kristin for two months now. Our goals are not cosmetic, but rather to feel stronger and better in our aging bodies. Mission is being accomplished! We truly look forward to our twice-weekly sessions. Kristin knows exactly what we need and constructs interesting, varied, and efficient workouts for us that have greatly strengthened our core, improved our balance, and are adding muscle. She watches us like a hawk to ensure we are in proper alignment and properly executing the moves. Every session is different, and the variety is providing a wonderful balance. I can’t say enough good things about the space (everything you need in one immaculate, well-managed studio), other patrons, and the staff. Owner Ashley is super friendly and approachable with a great sense of humor. It is not one bit snooty or “elite.” It is always a pleasure to walk in the door, be greeted like family, groove to the excellent playlist, and get to work. Our sessions fly by, and we love the benefits we are feeling. We are thrilled we took the leap and signed up. It’s our Happy Place!
Fantastic experience: I’m a health junkie and I LOVE the energy at Maxed Out Fitness. On my first morning I was greeted with cheers and bantering - like family - we know each other well and support each other through more than just the workout. It’s a community. I have a 2-year-old son, and am 7 months post Achilles surgery … so I’ve been way out of a routine for 1-2 years. Ashley knew exactly how to support me getting back to a high level of fitness. She offers modifications as needed, but mostly I need that “you can do this!” attitude (because I can!). Also, the gym and bathrooms are super clean and spacious. It’s a win-win. If you’re looking for an inviting atmosphere and awesome coaches to take you from 0-100 (if you’re out of a routine), look no further! This place is going to be a great home for you too.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working out with Ashley a few years now and Maxed Out Fitness is amazing!!!! The focus is on you and your needs. This gym isn’t over whelming like some can be. I tend to get nervous in a gym atmosphere and here I feel confident and focused on my goals! This is a gym anyone can come into and not want to leave.
Fantastic experience: Where do I even start about Ashley and her new gym. Ashley has been my trainer for a little over 2 years and I have been grateful ever since. Not only is she an amazing trainer who pushes you, and doesn't give up. But she will go out of her way to make sure that you are feeling good about yourself. I have had many days where my body hurts or something isn't right, and Ashley will make any adjustments necessary to where I can still get a good workout in. I leave her gym every time feeling great about myself. I cannot recommend this gym enough. This has got to be the BEST gym in Annapolis! I needed to edit this because I had to show a progress photo since training with Ashley. When I first started with Ashley about 3 years ago I was around 165lbs now I am 145lbs and I have never loved my body more then I do now. I feel the healthiest I ever have, and I cannot recommend Maxed Out Fitness enough. The photos don’t lie with how much progress I have made with my fitness goals and Ashley has helped me out so much. So if you are debating what gym you should go to, look no further. I promise you, you will love this gym. Fantastic experience: Ashley is the first trainer I have worked with, and she will be the last trainer I work with - she is simply the best. I am trying to get into shape after years of being "too busy" with job, kids, life - and Ashley has made the experience - dare I say it - fun, and much less scary than going to a big gym. She meets me where I am but pushes me to be the best I can be that session - and in only a couple months I have seen drastic improvement in my energy, strength, and cardio. I feel better than I have in years. No more breathing hard going up steps! Clothes fit better and I can play more with the kids! Each workout is different and she works to push my heart rate up and then down again to maximize the benefit I get from each workout. I have already recommended her to 5 people. She is everything you want in a trainer - kind yet driven, invested in helping her clients be the best they can be, and incredibly knowledgeable about how your body works, how to make it stronger, and how to work with any existing health challenges you have. She is also incredibly helpful with supporting you to make better choices for your life outside the gym - better eating, different kinds of exercise and self-care - and helping you stay the course on getting healthy and feeling your best. Fantastic experience: I have been working out with Ashley for several years and Maxed Out Fitness is a perfect extension of her training style. A style that flexes to you, the client. Training at Maxed Out always leaves me feeling better not just physically but also mentally. This is due to the Ashley's experience and expertise with training and training equipment and also her skill at reading my physical and mental state and tailoring each workout to what I need that day. Even when I have come in with an injury (never hurt myself while training) she was able to work around it and even incorporate physical therapy techniques to speed my rehabilitation. She has selected very high quality equipment for the studio. It is apparent it was selected for its effectiveness rather than following the latest fad in the fitness industry. You should do yourself a favor and get a physical trainer and Maxed out has the best one I've ever had the pleasure of training with.

Ashley herself, is lively and unimaginably generous. Her way of coaching is diligent to change/injury/ and even mood. Above all else she is known for her dedication to changing lives for the better, as a coach, as a friend, and as family. She is tough, working her trainees to sweat-soaked and out-of-breath. She will cheer you on, call you out, and push you to your limits. She is knowledgeable and helpful in ways that are hard to find.
