- Group classes like 'Turn up dance' and spin classes led by enthusiastic instructors, ensuring a fun workout environment.

- Well-maintained locker rooms featuring saunas for relaxation post-workout.

Many users appreciate the clean and friendly atmosphere of the gym, alongside the helpful staff. The center is spacious, allowing for a range of workout activities. Despite these minor inconveniences, visitors frequently mention that it is one of the best gyms on Fort Bliss, offering a comprehensive fitness experience with something for everyone.
Joshua W. Soto Physical Fitness Center: Opinions

Fantastic experience: They give away free gains, I got mine yesterday
Fantastic experience: Plenty of weights and exercise equipment. Can do olympic style lifting.
Positive experience: Good gym for after-work but during pt hours it's too crowded
Positive experience: Has a lot of new equipment but has let the old equipment rust and fall apart. I had to drop 300lbs from the week before at stout gym on leg press due to rust.
Fantastic experience: Awesome workout center on fort bliss
Fantastic experience: I love 'Turn up dance' group classes with Nicole. She does a great job with the class. Tunes are fun and materials are fresh and playful. I wish she can stay longer but, nature of military life just means she'll bless the next station with her awesome classes!
Fantastic experience: Best gym on base. I like how they have a running track inside and a sauna in each restroom.
Fantastic experience: Say bye bye to your stress when you get in here just Focus and tomorrow come again and do it again.
Positive experience: Pretty good gym except for the fact that there’s only one leg extension machine in the entire gym… That’s just a peeve, though.
Fantastic experience: I go to this gym for spin class with coach Sonia. It’s so much fun!!! Intense workout with great music.
Positive experience: Very stinky, too many people
Fantastic experience:
Fantastic experience: Took advantage of the mother 's day massage
Fantastic experience: It's one of 3 gyms I go to and really amazing.
Positive experience: It’s not a bad gym for a post, definitely the best one on bliss. However, some of the equipment is broke at times and so is the attachment pieces to some of the cables. Steam room isn’t the prettiest but you’re not going to sauna to look cute. And stop bringing your phones in the damn sauna. Y’all are weird.
Fantastic experience: Great place to unwind and focus on your wellness! Friendly staff and clean, well maintained equipment. Happy we came here! ❤️
Fantastic experience: Needs a steam room
Fantastic experience: Big and has everything you need but can get busy from 5pm-7pm
Fantastic experience: This will be my second time going to Cruz Gutierrez for a deep tissue massage and I will go back! He was able to get the knots out of my back and I feel so much better. Can't wait to rebook with him again.
Negative experience: Should be a 24 hr gym in my opinion
Positive experience: It gets packed throughout the week but the weekend it's pretty good
Fantastic experience: Good gym with a lot of machines which gives you more options for your workout.
Negative experience: Thought the facility is well stocked, my wallet was stolen from the locker room, and when I told staff, they didnt seem fazed.
Positive experience: Great staff, well maintained but no hot water for over 3 weeks.
Fantastic experience: Gets 5 stars for having a comvatives room with multiple punching bags and a plethora of gym equipment.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, something for everyone.
Positive experience: fantastic place to meet dudes. locker rooms could use some more privacy, however
Fantastic experience: Biggest and newest gym on Fort Bliss. It’s on the East side of Bliss so depending on which side of El Paso/Bliss you live in will determine your commute. Usually crowded around lunchtime and 4-6pm on weekdays.
Positive experience: Nice gym. Definitely better than the average Army gym. It would be nice if they open 24/7. Starting at 3 star: - 1 star for smelly weight room - 1 star for not having cold water in winter + 1 star for the cleaniness in the rest of the gym. + 1 star for machine variety and availablility + 1 star for many fitness classes availability Total 4 star.
Fantastic experience: Great gym!
Positive experience: GET HAND CHALK ALREADY
Fantastic experience: Always good, open area best time to go after PT times.
Fantastic experience: Has everything you need in a gym. Find the right times to beat the crowd and you’ll be in there all by yourself
Fantastic experience: Un lugar completo para el entrenamiento.
Fantastic experience: For all my gym goers, here's the holiday schedule for 2023.
Positive experience: Would like an accurate calendar for when a room/area is reserved. I drove 20 mins out only to find a group of 5 people laying around in the combatives room saying it’s reserved for 5 hours. Besides that, great gym gets a little busy at times.
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. I do like how they have pretty much everything you need to get a good workout in all under one roof but separated by rooms and areas. Indoor track is upstairs, while the basketball and volleyball courts are downstairs along with the big weight room plus a smaller weight room located upstairs.
Fantastic experience: Love to work out with young soldiers!!
Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the nicest gym 5+
Fantastic experience: One of the best all around gyms in the military!
Fantastic experience: Big clean gym with a lot of different equipment, free weights, a indoor track and a lot of cardio equipment. Very big locker rooms with showers and a sauna
Fantastic experience: Gym pequeno pero completo, lo Unico que falta es una piscina jejeje
Positive experience: Mad decent
Fantastic experience: Best gym. Has a sauna!
Fantastic experience: I use the personal trainer service and it’s amazing .
Positive experience: Great gym with a sauna and multiple equipments to use
Fantastic experience: This gym had gotten so much better in the past couple of years
Fantastic experience: Calves machine missing. Maybe I didn't find it. Nevertheless, this gym is great.
Fantastic experience: Great gym on base. Tons of equipment
Fantastic experience: Good gym with lots equipment for authorized military personnel
Fantastic experience: I love coming here. Nice gym but I wish they have steam room.
Negative experience: Great gym but it's so crowded that it makes it impossible to enjoy your workout.
Positive experience: Cool gym on base....however, not sure if the actual dress code because some civilians were wearing extremely revealing clothes.
Fantastic experience: Great gym with nautilus machines, basketball court, indoor track, padded room, and plenty of treadmills. It even has a smoothie bar.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, plenty of equipment, 2 floors, multiple workout rooms, to include spinning room.
Fantastic experience: It's one of the best gyms I've ever been to. There is plenty of room and equipment.
Fantastic experience: As far as Army Fitness centers go this is a great gym. CLEAN and has the Accomadtaions you want and need to include a sauna
Fantastic experience: One of the best on post gyms I've been too. Lots of equipment and space
Positive experience: The hours are terrible. Dumbbells only go up to 100 lbs. Only one cable lat pull down. Not a single calf machine. Generally clean, usually not too crowded.
Fantastic experience: Really good gym, especially since they close a little later now. Most people come to this gym because of the space you have for lifting and the hours that it is open for. I believe all gyms on post should follow suit. Especially main post, so people don't have to drive from West Bliss to East Bliss.
Negative experience: No dress code on their website, but this won't stop the employees from enforcing this. When they want, of course. Wildly inconsistent and arbitrary enforcement of seemingly made up rules. Apparently crop tops aren't shirts but the girls in sports bras and the dudes with their sleeves and the whole side of their shirts cut off and their nipples visible are all good.
Fantastic experience: Excelente
Fantastic experience: Excelente
Fantastic experience: Very well clean and has everything you need for a workout.
Positive experience: Definitely better than Milam Gym. It's also next to the Aquatic Center.
Positive experience: Gym is well equipped only thing that sucks is the mask policy.
Positive experience: Great gym! Open basketball courts, open sauna, indoor track, and plenty of equipment.
Positive experience: Came in the morning. Gym reminds me of the gym from Korea. Plenty of equipment but the problem is finding a good time to avoid the waves of people. ID required and it's free ♂️
Positive experience: Great gym with a lot to do. Location is perfect for people living off post
Positive experience: Ita a good gym for it only to be open for a certain time during the day… should really become a 24/7 gym for those of us who have tight schedules
Negative experience: For some reason that clashes with reality they make you wear a mask while you lift weights and play basketball, don't let you remove it. My gym back home never even closed. It's like some dystopian movie in this gym.
Negative experience: I've never had an issue with his gym until today. The hours clearly say yall are open till 2100 and I showed up 1815 and yall are closed and showing people to the door. If yall didn't want to stay open later why would yall change the hours online and at the gym?
Positive experience: Staff is decent. Clean equipment usually. Clean restrooms and locker areas. Lots of different classes to partake during the week. Small space for the basic racks(dl, squat, bench) gets full fast, but has lots of isolated equipment, cable machines and dumb/bar bell selection.
Positive experience: Great gym. Only complaint I have is there is an entire room of spin bikes they refuse to let us use. It would be great if they at least placed a few in the cardio area for visitors to use.
Negative experience: This is the first time I've had the civilian staff at a gym close the gym and kick everyone out on a military installation. Even the tiny gym at Camp Carroll Korea stays open 24/7! I certainly expected a gym on such a large installation to be open later than 1800 on a weekday! It's confusing why this gym is generally only open til 2100 on weeknights. It's open all day long while people are working, but after work, America's Soldiers get 4 hours to get their workout in. Thank you for your service, you only get 4 hours to get a better workout in than what PT gives you in the morning. All those hours the gym is open, Soldiers are at work and unable to use this facility. Why are we wasting tax dollars to pay these civilians during the hours that the people this facility is meant to service aren't able to use it? And why can't the facility be run by military SMs rather than civilians? Why do civilians need to be there in the first place? To sit behind the desk and do even less than staff duty? This could be a good facility, except that you are limited in your ability to get a solid workout in because they will close early and kick everyone out because they want to go home early on a Friday. 3 hours early to be exact. Somehow, the gym facilities at nearly every other installation manage to stay open and allow Soldiers to get a workout in without civilian staff and without anyone at the front desk to stand there and look at CACs. I guess Fort Bliss is the only installation left that uses the gym facilities to just check the box but does not intend to keep them open long enough for Soldiers to use them outside of peak hours when everything is packed and unavailable for use. Don't waste your time, just get a membership to a real gym and you'll be able to workout during those off hours when it isn't packed. Maybe you'll even be able to workout anytime you want, 24/7!
Fantastic experience: Well equipped establishment. Military ID required to utilize establishment
Fantastic experience: Gets alittle busy but it's got everything which makes it worth it.
Fantastic experience: Really nice facility attended a spin class here great teacher great equipment highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: The indoor track is a great feature when it's hot, even though it is an awkward distance that makes it more for running for time than running for distance. The hours are convenient, they're even open on weekends.
Fantastic experience: This is the best gym in Fort Bliss. It's spacious with all the equipment you need for a good workout. There is also an indoor running truck upstairs. The patrons are also very friendly and do clean frequently
Fantastic experience: Probably the best gym on Ft bliss. They have almost everything you need. Basketball court, free weights, universal machines, locker rooms, showers. And that's just the bottom floor. On top is a indoor track, treadmills, elliptical machines, rowers, bikes. In the traffic circle, they also have indoor pools, the single soldiers building, and little food court.
Fantastic experience: It's actually a good army gym
Fantastic experience: Small but packed with everything needed to do whatever training exercise needed
Fantastic experience: At 96,000 square feet, this is the best gymnasium in the army, possibly the entire military.
Positive experience: Large, very organized, clean and not as packed as everyone makes it out to be. Never once was just walking around waiting on wo equipment or machines to be freed up. Was able to move freely to the next muscle group. PT hours are a little more hectic. Hours also don't have like other military posts i.e. they are open from open to close and not shut down every 1 ½ hours for a ½-1hr of so called cleaning which is extremely disruptive and you know they ain't cleaning. Highly recommend this gym
Fantastic experience: Awesome place...lots of equipment and they all work (for the most part)
Fantastic experience: Clean, well maintained. Has necessary equipment. I do miss using the boxing equipment though.
Fantastic experience: Very well clean and has everything you need for a workout.
Fantastic experience: Love the overall feel of the gym. Makes me feel like I am in a real gym. The staff members in this were more than helpful. It truly shows they put customers first and their safety.
Fantastic experience: Small gym but I prefer these types. This place has everything you’d need to get in shape: kettlebell , free weights , machines, bar bells, squat rack , etc.
Fantastic experience: They have everything you need and then some for a complete workout. It gets busy in the morning from 630-845 but other than that it's the complete experience
Fantastic experience: We enjoy going early, there's hardly anybody there. Finish our workout in an hour!! The staff are very friendly too
Fantastic experience: Wonderful to walk into the gym today and not have to wear a face mask at all since I am fully vaccinated. Everything is COVID "spaced" and cleaned a lot. Good cardio equipment and a huge weight room.
Fantastic experience: Clean and friendly. Covid rules enforced without being a nuisance. Plenty of options to pick from for machines
Fantastic experience: Huge gym with lots equipment. I appreciated the racks and racks of dumbbells.
Fantastic experience: The gym is very clean and they have lots of weights and machines. The employees are friendly and I personally have never found it to be crowded.
Fantastic experience: This is the best gym on post that is currently open. There is plenty of machines to work out with, a room with squat racks, basketball court, cardio machines upstairs and an indoor track. They offer massages at a cost and by appointment. During pt hours and at lunch time it can get pretty busy. I have only been there once after COB and it was busy but not as busy as pt/lunch hours.
Fantastic experience: Lots of and different kinds of workout equipment. Has an indoor running track, several weight rooms, basketball court and more. Probably one of the best military gym that I have seen.
Fantastic experience: Nice, clean, fully equipped, free for soldiers and spouses. First floor has a variety of machines, basketball court, bathrooms, a smoothie store, an area of free waits and another area with little storages and more weights. The second floor has multiple cardio options elliptical, stair master, thread mill, bikes and more. Walking distance to the Shoppet, Aquatic center, soccer field and baseball field.
Fantastic experience: Very well equipped and very clean. Large free weights area plus a nautilus area and CrossFit room. Upstairs has an indoor track and just about every cardio machine you can think of.
