Fantastic experience: I went in today to sign up for a membership and I met with Jacob! He was sweet, kind and very informative on all the perk and benefits of the gym. Got me signed up in no time! Thanks Jacob!

Negative experience: I have taken EVERY STEP that I was told to, by Gabe, at the amarillo Tru Fit to cancel mine and my husbands memberships and it STILL HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED. I ended up closing my bank account because I had a feeling(from being told by another former customer) that they would still try to continue charging my account for services I'm not using. I reached out to the location about cancelling and was told to send an email, and then i reached out to corporate/corporate customer service to check the status of my cancelation and was told there was no such thing in affect and they asked to update my billing info, I refused and stated I have already canceled our memberships. I explained that I have already tried to cancel the plans TWICE and did what I was told by Gabe, who is one of the fitness managers AT THE LOCATION. This has been very annoying and inconvenient. I do not and would not recommend Trufit to ANYONE.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym unless you NEVER intend on leaving or enjoy playing phone tag and DEMAND LETTERS from collections companies. I physically came into this club to cancel my sons membership(A minor) and was to told by the front desk employee that only managers could assist in cancelling. I politely requested a call back by a manager and provided my cell phone. A call never came. Instead I chased after managers for the next couple of months. Eventually I was told that I could not cancel them membership with them I would have to call ABC Fitness their parent company. ABC Fitness does not appear to have US Based employeed. Once you speak with them they'll hae you e-mail a cancellation to them which is not actually good until 30 days later. At which point you will be charged for your monthly dues and annual renewal if it happens to be in that time period. But wait, Theres more......They claim they will draft your remaining membership amount but don't actually follow through. Instead, Your membership remains active for months until you receive a demand letter from what I can only assume is a shady collections agency who may or may not be based out of the US. Cancelling my 15 Year Old sons membership should have cost $11.00 I've not payed over $130.00 and wasted hours of my own time. My recommendation is to find a better run gym.

Negative experience: I asked for them to cancel my account, it took them 6 months to cancel, and when I asked for a refund for those months, Jacob said no refunds for the 5 months I was overcharged.

Negative experience: Scam Artists with a Dirty Gym I was in Amarillo temporarily for work and needed a gym for just a short period. I made it absolutely clear that I only needed a membership for a month or two and that I would not sign up if there were any extra or hidden fees. The staff looked me in the eye and told me there weren’t. That was a lie. They had me sign a long month-to-month contract and conveniently left out the fact that there was a $60 “annual enrichment fee” coming up. I canceled after 10 days of use because I left town earlier than expected. That’s when they hit me with the bill… Two full months of charges plus this garbage $60 fee that they never disclosed. I should’ve read the fine print. That’s on me. But the fact that they intentionally withheld that information when I asked about it directly shows this was a deliberate bait and switch. If they had told me the truth, I never would have signed up. They know that. That’s why they didn’t. And what exactly does this $60 enrichment fee go toward? According to them, it’s for cleaning and maintenance. That’s a joke. In the 10 days I was there, the bathrooms and sauna were disgusting. Floors were black with filth, trash stayed on the ground for days, and the place smelled awful. The sauna was a health hazard and I never once saw it cleaned. Multiple machines were broken every time I came in and stayed broken. So to sum it up, they lied to get my money, they tricked me into signing a contract I never would’ve agreed to if I had been told the truth, and they charged me a bogus fee for “cleaning” a gym when their locker room looks and smells like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. This gym membership is money grab built on shady tactics and zero accountability. I was scammed out of my money and they refused to refund a single cent. Absolutely disgraceful.

Negative experience: Management makes it EXTREMELY difficult to cancel a membership! I tried multiple times and was charged late fees during the process of cancelation and was refused by the manager a refund. Ran me through circles for weeks!

Negative experience: Great equipment, disgusting facility. The locker rooms do not get cleaned, the walls are yellow, the floors haven’t seen a mop in ages, the toilets are grimy, there are clumps of hair everywhere and none of it ever gets touched. On the weekends every trash can on the gym floor will be overflowing and paper towels/cleaning spray for the machines will be empty. Complaints go ignored.

Positive experience: Great gym until you need to cancel. Just make sure WHEN you need to cancel your membership, talk to someone AT the club location (their "Customer Care" seems to be 3rd party, incoherent, inefficient, they'll waste your time, and it's garbage), and make sure you tell them 30 days before you need to cancel. They will make you continue to pay if your payment due date falls within the 30 days. I tried to cancel through Customer Care and them wasting my time cost me an additional payment. Facilities and Staff: 5 stars. Business Administration and Account Management: 0 stars.

Negative experience: The facilities are nasty. The bathroom is never clean even when the cleaning lady is there I see her dusting off equipment but never scrubbing a toilet. I have almost pissed my pants trying to make it home to use the restroom too scare to touch even the door handles inside of TruFits bathroom.

Negative experience: BEWARE of this place! They want you to sign up of course but Please read the fine print. We were told that our membership was a month to month and would end with no more fees. NOT true! We told them that we didn’t want to keep our card on file. But they did! BEWARE in the fine print you will be charged the annual membership for even less than a moth of membership! They won’t hand you the paperwork to read. It will be emailed after the fact! They have you sign electronically so you can’t read their terms and conditions! The customer service was even worse! Lesson learned. We have had memberships at other gyms with no problem . Even on a month to month. My concern in the beginning was the cleanliness. Especially in the bathrooms.. He apologized and it would be taken care of . But signed up anyway. The day I went to terminate our contract used needles were littered the parking lot. Please be aware!

Negative experience: Scam of a business. Lose documents of canceling memberships and then tell you it is your fault.

Negative experience: FIND A DIFFERENT GYM. Had to move, and they would not cancel my membership. I ended up having to call abcfiness, and by then racked up months that I didn't use and still have to pay for. Cancelling my membership at PF was a walk in the park compared to this bs.

Fantastic experience: This gym is one of my favorite ones I’ve been to. Everything is great and the employee who works the over night shift , Emily, is very nice and she is always cleaning and making sure everything looks good for the morning. I would 10/10 recommend this gym to anyone and everyone.

Negative experience: The one week trial is only if you have an Amarillo driver's license. Reasons for 2 star 1. They told me to drive down to they gym and bring my ID instead of just telling me I needed an Amarillo license 2. I received a tour of the gym. I asked if people have had trouble cancelling their memberships, and the trainer said it's all online and some people have had problems. So if you run into issues with the website the employees won't be able to help. 3. The trainer was condescending, and called men "guys" and women "females" which I always find odd I'll probably go back to the Amarillo College's gym.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could. For starters the management fails to manage this gym in every way. Never keeps disinfectant sprays or paper towels stocked. Not that it matters because people around here lack basic gym etiquette and never wipe down the equipment after use nor unload their own plates. Wish this was enforced more. My husband & I travel for his work and visit all kinds of gyms but never been to a gym where people lack so much gym etiquette it's embarrassing. For some reason this specific gym allows 10 year olds in this facility. Usually the age limit is 18+. This gym is usually filled with kids which good for them trying to stay healthy at a young age but they usually take up the equipment in little groups joking around not actually working out. Love the facility itself, it's well equipped but other than that have nothing good to say about this gym. Save your money and go else where.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym! Been coming for a couple years now and the staff is always friendly and easy to communicate with. Childcare center is awesome! The staff is amazing and are great with the kids! My daughter always has a good time and I’m so thankful for them because it allows me to get some much needed me time!

Negative experience: Very hard to deal with regarding your account. I canceled my account due to a move. Still 5 months out they are still withdrawing membership fees out of my account. Advise everyone, find aother Gym in the area, there are plenty to pick from. BTW, the music they play is much to loud and irritating.

Negative experience: Used to be a really good clean gym. Has gone down hill. Management neglects things until they are absolutely needed. Price is good after you get past the commitment. Most content and best thing about this gym is the worker that works evenings. Always greeting people and telling them to have a great day.

Fantastic experience: i recommend this place to anyone with kids but doesn’t want to leave them with a sitter! Very clean and staff is absolutely amazing! The girls in the daycare are great with both of my boys. But Ashley is TOP TEIR! Any questions I have she immediately has an answer for me! So grateful to have met someone like her. Ask for Ashley if you want help or need questions getting set up

Fantastic experience: Braxton from Trufit pushes you and motivates you to reach your goals. I’m down almost 10 lbs working on cardio and weights. Plus being on a diet helps. The gym is clean and the classes like kickboxing Combo 6 and the HITT class are fun. The chocolate protein powder taste good and not chalky. Definitely recommend trainer and gym to teach your goals.
