Negative experience: Literally the most poorly managed club I've ever been a member of. Tried to cancel my membership in August of 2024. They continued charging me. I disputed all of the charges with my bank, and they ruled in my favor, so what does the club do? They report it to a crediting agency. Literally the most crooked and unprofessional gym you could visit. DO NOT JOIN HERE!
Fantastic experience: Visiting from out of town. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Was able to get my training in including Olympic lifts and cardio. Barbells were strong and not flimsy like I've found at some other gyms. Nico at the front desk was particularly excellent to work with. Great gym!

Negative experience: It was an ok gym to start with... Some equipment is only for use if you get a personal trainer regardless of it u know what ur doing with it... I personally went thru a hard time... Became late in pmts (which i own is on me and my responsibility) n am trying to cancel all for them to try n charge the annual charge in the midst of that n act like i should be grateful they are waiving something else .. just want to be done. Their body scan never worked when i went in... Again about the rquipment... N now this... P.s. the bs voicemails like they care about me missing a workout when they never notoced i had t been there in months anyways... I know its about the bottom line- please sontyfake caring...

Fantastic experience: Not extremely busy. Workout equipment was available and very respectful staff and helpful. Music wasn't super loud. Bathrooms are clean. I highly recommend coming to this gym.

Negative experience: I have not been to this gym due to me loosing my car. Still getting charged. Calling no answer and last time I talked to someone they said I have to go to facility. I don't have a car.

Negative experience: Traps you into membership, impossible to cancel. Never again
Aiden. Just not the case. You can cancel at any time by signing the cancellation form. YES--you have agreed to a number of provisions--but as long as you follow the policy that you would have signed-- there is never an issue with cancelling.
Fantastic experience: My grandson works out at this place. He gets a lot of help from the people there. He is very fit, thanks to this place

Negative experience: Officially sick of this place and looking for other gyms. I have 2 teen daughters and 2 younger kids who want to start working out too. I pay for premium membership to get as much as I can out of it and I’m still expected to pay $10 a person any time more than 1 kid wants to workout. Always crowded, small locker room, leaky roof and atleast 1 broken machine at any given time.
Hello Richardo. YES a Peak Plus member can bring in one guest with them each time they work out. However, we do not allow multiple guests per visit. The YMCA may be a better option for a family type membership.

Negative experience: This is a good crunch fitness. I'm only giving them 2 stars because I was in town for a few days and wanted to workout here instead of anytime fitness and they made me pay $40 dollars for a 7 day pass when there is a free 7 day trial. I'm so disappointed in that, especially since a crunch I went to in Pennsylvania took care of me.

Negative experience: FYI .. . read the cotract and small print even if they are making you hurry to get started in the process of the training program. Otherwise a super gym and equipment and nice staff!

Negative experience: The lady’s locker room is filthy!! Smells like a high school boys locker room! I went two days in a row and the same toilet seat had the same poop smear from the day before!! Makes me wonder what else isn’t being cleaned properly.

Positive experience: I like Crunch here in Amarillo. The staff is very friendly. I think for anyone starting their fitness journey this wouldn't be a bad place to start. There's lots of people who come in and out but the staff does their best to keep the facility clean. I think they have a great selection of equipment, assisted weights, free weights, bench press, Olympic platforms, plate loaded machines. If your new starting your journey the best time to come in would be during the a.m. hours overnight I think that's where a gym like this really shines.

Negative experience: Worst gym in Amarillo. Literally used the gym then they turned around and charged me 150 for not using them anymore is crazy work. Definitely do not recommend them to anyone!
Tee--just does not happen. If you were charged--it would be only because that is what you owed due to payments not being processed and you having a balance. Unfortunately-- TEE WILL AKA MR.PICKELS is not our database---we would have loved to learn more.
Negative experience: EXTREMELY dirty facility. Dirty showers, restrooms and workout area. Lint dust all around the main floor. Meanwhile staff just hangs out in the front talking and having a good time.ALL management needs to be fired for lack of leadership and lack of attention to the facility

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to workout and transform your life. Amazing staff with tons of knowledge and they actually feel like they follow their No judgement zone for workout. I don't get weird looks just looking around watching others grow themselves as well. This is definitely the gym I had been looking for

Fantastic experience: Classes and personal training is really nice. It's almost always super busy though. I like the variety of equipment. I can train on the bags, lift weights, use the straps with body weight, yoga mats.

Negative experience: I would give them NO stars if it was an option!! I have canceled my membership several times - initially I went into the location and canceled with the girl behind the counter, I sent two emails via their online contact system and I sent a letter directly to the location I signed up at to reconfirm my cancelation. I cannot go in person as I no longer live in the state and the nearest location is hours away. The staff is majorly incompetent obviously. They failed to cancel my membership back in July and still shows my account as active racking up fees. Do not join this gym. They claim a no-hassle cancellation but obviously that is not the case. They also put someone else under my profile who signed up at the same time.

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting crunch in Amarillo Texas for about a month. Great spot tons of parking easy in and out access Curtis and Nico at the front desk are very helpful and awesome guys. If you have a fitness question, Curtis is very knowledgeable and willing to help with any information you need to know, as well as directing you to other trainers at the back of the gym He should be running his own gym !!
Fantastic experience: Crunch Daycare oversees my niece while my sister exercises. My niece speaks very highly of Abriel, her favorite teacher, who is exceptionally kind to the children. My sister holds the daycare staff in high regard and greatly appreciates their dedication.

Negative experience: I am definitely in disagreement with the policy of hydromassage use, they make us pay like 15dllrs per month in a contract for services the employees don't allow to use, even once at day, it's a roberry the employees intimidate and a scam the company don't want to fix hydromassage machines or give the employees a costumer service or technical support course
Appreciate the feedback Alekos. Not sure I understand exactly what the issue is. The R & R amenities are available to members depending on the type of membership they have. Staff are provide a base membership as a perk to employment-- and are afforded use of the area--if they want to upgrade the membership for a nominal fee.
Negative experience: This business uses false advertising and DECEPTIVE practices to lure you into a one year contract and then misinforms you about the contract as well as your ability to cancel the program. Once they've gotten you to agree, they will rope you into an annual fee and continue to charge you only after they've said they cancelled your account. When you learn of the ongoing charges they will tell you it was never cancelled and that you must go in and pay another $50 to actually cancel and that their employees must've "miscommunicated" some information. All while having no accountability for "misinforming" their customers. It's a scam for people who have lives and don't want to sit at the gym looking in the mirror all day and pretending to actually be working out. Planet fitness is probably the safer, Moore integral route if you don't want to have a membership.... Or if you don't want to end up in a midnight line of fire incident. The employee Des who services the counter will use her "pretending" manager position to test your patience through rudeness, arrogance and haughtiness....try not to get sucked in as it's obvious she does this on a regular basis as a means to convince herself of her own self worth.
Hello Diana. Just not true. Nothing deceptive, no charging you after you sign a cancellation form, no misinforming members etc. However we do have an annual fee and we do have a cancellation process which does involved a member coming to the gym to cancel in person. Easy Peasy ---
Negative experience: The gym itself is nice, but I can never get past the shaddy and scummy business practices of the company itself. Save yourself any trouble and avoid all crunch fitness! They will screw you

Negative experience: I love tanning here and as a new member less than a week my staff experience has been great until tonight. Her name tag said Des she was rude I had my 12 almost 13 year old with me and she told me she couldn’t sit in the blue chairs why I tanned I said ok fine we will use massage chairs first very rudely was told she is not allowed to use any equipment in the facility. Not sure why if I am with her she can’t use a massage chair but whatever. There was a much nicer way that could have been expressed other than basically acting like I was stupid because I did not know this and a horrible attitude. Not a good experience for a new member the rest of the staff had been great so far.

Negative experience: I had been going to crunch for about 5 months, I had a personal trainer which she was amazing!!! However when it was time for me to sign up for new sessions with my trainer the people up front do not know what they are doing. I was paying my trainer fees bi-weekly so when I paid they were only suppose to charge me $100. However that happened on a Thursday before Easter I was leaving on vacation on Wednesday. That Monday I'm thankfully checking my bank account and they took a payment out of $500. (WOW) I text my trainer she said she would let the person who ran my card know, she was very apologetic. She let me know that my money would be in my bank account by Thursday (before good Friday) I expressed to her that I really was counting on that $400 for my vacation. I left town and no money was returned. So Monday after Easter I check my account and still nothing. I message my trainer again and she was concerned as well. She then calls me and says it wasn't showing up as a refund and that the GM Jenny had taken care of it. Come Tuesday I check my account again AND there's another $50 pending payment trying to be processed. Wow!!! At this moment I'm furious. I called the gym spoke with Jenny the GM and she was quick to hand me off to a new person who is over the trainers. I explained to her, you are the GM I need to talk to you not the new person. She definitely did just pass me down. Jaden then takes over the phone and he says he understood and knew what I was going threw. I said really you've had $500 debited out of your account right before leaving on vacation ok well maybe this happens more than I thought. However I go on and explain why I was furios was the new pending payment they were trying to pull. Unbelievable that they can't get my refund back of $400 but know taking an additional $50. He said he was going to talk to the GM Jenny (which is why I wanted to speak with her to begin with, I knew he wouldn't be able to give me answers) that day went by, I then call him 24 hours after talking to him and they ask who I was I told them me and who I needed to speak with, the person puts me on hold gets back on and says he is actually talking yo the GM now about your situation he will call you back. Really!!!! I think this type of issue should be an urgent issue that should of been resolved a dang week ago. Anyways Jaden calls me back and says they are reversing that pending payment too. The guy who originally processed this had been let go and they were sorry. Well I'm sorry I think I need something more than just we are sorry. We are talking about $400 being taken on my account for no reason and no one knows why. That's odd. I for sure didn't sign up for this kind of customer service. They made my account negative due to bills being processed as well. They didn't care. I'm sorry but $400 is alot of money to just say oh yes here you go I don't need those funds for my vacation and to pay my bills. I asked him if they would be able to offer like a some type of compensation, free session with trainer month free of gym something because this was so wrong on their part. He said let me talk to my GM Jenny and will get back to you. I've called twice for Jaden no call backs I've called twice for Jenny and no call backs either. Unbelievable how the GM just seems to not have the education or training on how to have better customers service especially with people who they screw around. The more I think about it the more ot makes sense, when they processed my payment it was at the end of the month so whoever kept those commission on that I'm sure had to wait for the beginning of the month o refund them. That is the only thing that makes sense and why no one has called me back to explain anything.

Fantastic experience: Hunter helped me out was very respectful and well informed you guys are great! I’ve been seeing a lot about Hunter in newer reviews I have never once seen him act inappropriately towards anyone under any circumstances. Whoever has it out for him does not belong in a place that is supposed to be judgement free!
Fantastic experience: Every time I come in early Sunday mornings (5am) the weight room is always cleaned up and looking nice because Hunter is on shift. I’ve left him reviews with the company anonymously to let them know how much I appreciate him cleaning up the weight room and his help. I’m handicapped and anytime I need a hand Hunter is there to help me out. I truly appreciate what he does up there, he makes me feel welcome every time I come in!

Fantastic experience: It’s been 2 months since I’ve last hit the gym, and as soon as I walk in my two bros Hunter and Aaron welcome me back in. These two guys have been a huge help to my gains even before the sudden disappearance but as I slowly get back to it I’ll look forward to seeing these young gents every time.

Positive experience: A lot equipment and very little waiting to use. Beautiful woman working out and only $10 a month. The lockers are nasty very dirty mostly haven't been cleaned in a very long time just the outside not the inside.

Negative experience: Once you make it past the guy at the front everything else is fine. He just made me feel really uncomfortable. I was wearing a short sports top, as most women do and as I was being checked in I could literally see him looking down my shirt. I put my arms over my chest and he grunted and rolled his eyes. I wanted to say something to a manager but I was just so uncomfortable I wanted to just leave it alone and work out at that point. The kid’s name was Hunter. It was just uncomfortable because I know a lot of young women like myself work out here and this is supposed to be a safe space. I won’t be coming back and am promptly cancelling.

Negative experience: I travel for work all over the South and by far this crunch is the dirtiest one I’ve been to.The bars felt pasty from not being wiped down in a while. Machines all dirty. No weights re racked anywhere. Come on crunch staff….. this is not the standard held at any other crunch locations I’ve been to. I read a couple of the recent reviews…… may want to wake up Crunch management.
Negative experience: If you want to be disrespected by children and young adults this is the place to go. This is the gym where you go to sit around and do nothing. Young adults boxing when this is not a boxing gym, trainers and staff not being professional to customers while working out. Literally have watched young adults back talk and try to fight grown men right in front of me. Also have Hurd story’s about shooting and other acts of violence at this gym thank god I got smart enough and quit only after being a member for 5 or so months.

Fantastic experience: Love the gym and people that work here. The employees that watch over the kids are very attentive as well.
Negative experience: the gym itself is a great place to come work out but the employees not so much. they don’t clean the bathrooms as much. and they don’t sanitize the toys in the daycare, so if your child came in healthy and leaves sick then you should know that’s why. their reason is because they aren’t a “real daycare.” & the managers in the daycare are too comfortable telling their business and gossiping instead of actually working.

Negative experience: I don't use this gym much but when I did today I was surprised with a hike in my dues along with a $57 yearly fee. If you do the math for a couple dollars more you can go to a much better gym with a pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room and clean locker rooms. Something like The Town Club or Gold's Gym. So much for getting scammed by your gym and lying about it! They have an excuse for every fee!

Negative experience: Make sure you ask to clean the tanning beds yourself before you go in. The staff doesn't clean the inside tops or sides of the beds! I have gotten in and found body prints and other substances on the acrylics. CLEAN YOUR BED!
Negative experience: I really liked working out there until I got into a situation with one of the employee's . I contacted the manager and they handled the situation. I come in another day and it's the same girl and I get pure attitude and retaliation from 2 out the 4 employee's .I informed the the same manager of what was happening and gave her my number to call me Cause she was on the phone on a meeting and never received a phone call back. I even sent an email and they never return it. I come to the gym to get away from all the problems in the world and all the issues and for one of your employees to cause more issues is just not right. How is there not a customer service number to where somebody can get a hold of you guys to let you know about problems and concerns ? I have called up their multiple times to get ahold of management and owners and nobody will answer my phone calls now and the time I did they said I was banned . Crazy . Have to better than that crunch.

Positive experience: I started to come back to this gym and why in the busiest hours are people hogging machines sitting on them not working out on there phones people like myself who have a busy lifestyle want to get our workout and go but we are constantly waiting on folks to get off so we can get ours in please address the issue of being on your phone while on a machine when there is plenty of walking areas and corners to be on your phone at

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome. Whether you are a fanatic or just beginning to work out; this is the place. I won a discounted membership in a silent auction but as soon as that expires, I am going to buy another membership.
Positive experience: Came in to shower from driving cross country and walked right out. Those bathrooms are extremely dirty. Even feels dirty. The guy at the front was very nice though that’s why the 3 star.

Negative experience: Definitely going to agree with Raymon on this one. Told a personal trainer on the phone that I had a terrible experience and that I am no longer interested in continuing the program, she said I'm sorry to hear that and we ended the call. I thought that was the end of it but no, they continued to take a total of $420 from my account. No mention that I need to put my request into writing or anything until after I was finally able to reach the one person capable of ending the service. Very scummy.

Negative experience: On Saturday 10/01/2022 we came into the Amarillo facility in order to start a membership in order to use the treadmill. The entire purpose of this membership was in order to train for a physical therapy test to obtain employment. There are about ten issues I can address here about my beginning interactions but let's just address the biggest issue. On 10/03/2022 I went to the gym to attempt my running requirements. At that time it took 6 attempts to find a machine that would even work at all. On the 7th machine I started my run. It turned off mid run without explanation. At that time I was so frustrated I left and lodged a complaint with Jennifer Mangiameli. On 10/04/2022 I attempted again to go to your facility for this run. Today it took me 9 tries to find a machine I could use. I don't know if you know what a gerkin test is but you increase incline and speed. I did this for ten minutes and in the last half of my two minute run at 6% incline the machine paused for no reason. None at all. I am beyond frustrated. I have canceled my membership. The staff I did encounter were horrible. I entered into an agreement for a membership with equipment that worked. I understand one or two machines not working and a facility of this size but the astronomical amount that did not work in my two attempts is ridiculous. Worst gym ever!

Fantastic experience: Having tried different gyms in Amarillo, I can confidently say this is an exceptional place to workout. Neat setup as well as exceptional service.
Fantastic experience: Very clean, super friendly staff, and lots of equipment. Best gym I’ve been a member of in Amarillo so far.
Positive experience: Great gym, beginner friendly. They offer group classes, personal training, and daycare. It gets super busy at 5pm every day, but any other time, you practically get the gym to yourself.

Negative experience: Crooked. Rude. I've already left a review once and changed it after being told I would be refunded money. I never was. I canceled my membership. I have been charged AT LEAST 75 Dollars by crunch since March 20th. It is April 20th today. There were also suspicious charges drawn out immediately afterwards that added up to 120 dollars. There is somebody in the building scamming people. The manager fires the people that say anything about it, one of them is my neighbor. I should have listened to what the locals had said and never gone in the first place. They do not care about your health, they do not care about their machinery, they do not care about their cleanliness, and they do not care at all about your finances. Take from this what you will. I tried. For 6 months. I was charged less at contagion. Don't. Just. Dont.

Negative experience: This place is terrible! I have cancelled my membership almost 6 months ago and they said they got it done. Didn’t charge for a month then went back to charging me. They continue to charge me and I want a refund for all the money they have took. I was on a month to month program. So if you go here don’t plan on moving because they’re going to do whatever they can to get your money. And they will leave you on the phone for literally 2 hours if you let them. Just called and imagine that still no answer.

Negative experience: Had to take a break from the gym after purchasing trainer time. When I tried to come back all the trainer time gone. When I called and asked about it, was told buy it again. Asked to speak to a manager, was told email only. Still waiting for a reply. Update and time line from a BBB complaint. from the Consumer on Monday, March 20, 2023 Received a message from the owner, asking for email to get the manager in touch with me. Email address forwarded, and still no answer. From the Consumer on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 Manager called on April 4th, explained what happened and she stated she would make this right and call me back the next day. Update on April 11th no call back. From the Consumer on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 The manager did contact me, but said would be back to me in a few days, a week later I called back was told 2 more days as the person they needed to speak with was away on vacation. 2 weeks later still waiting on that phone call.

Negative experience: I came in today with my 3 kiddos, to restart our fitness journey and to complete enrollment. The rep that assisted us was Zack a personal trainer. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, if he was nervous or if our race was his issue, either or he was dry, wasn't really listening, kept stepping away before we was finished. I say that because myself and my oldest we're the new members and had to add my youngest 2 as our guest. There were other reps around, and the front was not that busy, to top it off he didn't tell us about the gym or what we can expect from the membership we chose didn't even give us a tour of the facilities, just nothing lol and I asked was there anything else after I had to get his attention for the 3rd/4th time since he had walked away from us again, mind you no one was in front of him and the phone wasn't ringing. This review is only for the lack of customer service given by Zack. I was born here but I no longer live here, all I can say is Amarillo has changed a lot and trust me when I say that I don't mean that as a compliment.
Fantastic experience: I love going here. The people & the environment is so chill and laid back. No one looks at you in judgement or disapproval. There are plenty of treadmills, stair masters, ellipticals, stationary bikes, never have to wait for equipment. It is clean, the staff is great. I feel very comfortable here. My favorite part? The hydro massage chair & the tanning beds are excellent! Choose Crunch!

Negative experience: I travel all over the country and have been to many locations. This is the absolutely worst Crunch I have ever been to. It’s filthy and looks like no one ever cleans up after they’re done. There were just a few paper towel dispensers that even worked and almost no cleaning spray. It is painfully obvious that the staff does nothing in the way of cleaning ever either. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It had not been cleaned in a very long time. Do not waste your time going to this location. Try Planet down the street and save yourself the risk of getting a staff infection.

Fantastic experience: Some equipment needs some tlc, but other than that, it's an awesome gym. 24/7 Even without a membership, you can come in and pay a day or week pass. Perfect for me as a traveler.
