Fantastic experience: Just started going here and I love it! There are so many machines that even if it is packed you are able to use the machine you want. The staff is great and the people that work out here are very respectful! Love it!

Positive experience: I’m happy with this gym. Pricing is great and staff is nice. The space is good and it’s not really busy so doesn’t feel overwhelming or cramped. Some of the equipment can be out of service or outdated but they have a lot of it so that’s not really a negative in my book.

Fantastic experience: It goes without saying that this is a Christian owned and operated gym. They have a good selection of equipment and the environment is very upbeat. During the signup process, I never felt conned or manipulated. They explained the prices and what the membership offered, but it was never a sales pitch. I know enough people to be on a nodding/fist bump relationship, and for those I don't there's warm fellowship/ community atmosphere there. The owner is one of the certified trainers, and is always greeting people and introducing himself to new faces. The music they play is mostly Christian, and any secular music is always inoffensive. The only complaint I have about the music, is that I wish they played more music from my high school years like DC Talk and the Newsboys. I've been a member of a few gyms over the years, but this is my favorite one by far. If you are looking for a gym, then this is a great place to join. God bless.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best. Jonathan is a great guy and is always encouraging his members. He is always looking to provide value, whether it's adding a cold plunge, buying new equipment, or adding new classes - without a tiered membership or raising prices. One low, upfront, no hassle, upfront cost and you get everything... 27/4. The culture of the gym is different than any I've seen. I've never felt pressured to sign up or keep my membership. In fact Jonathan offers a lot of things for free to just check them out (classes, workout sessions, entry). He really cares about people and the culture his gym embodies reflects that. I won't train anywhere else. Check it out, even to just see what it's about, get a tour tour, and a free workout and see if it works for you!

Fantastic experience: I joined the fitness group classes at The Sanctuary Gym in November 2023, and I’ve had an outstanding experience with trainers Zack and Trent. They’ve been absolutely amazing by providing personalized attention to each one of us class members, adjusting routines to suit my individual fitness levels and needs. In the 3 month group class, I’ve received a MyZone monitor to track my productivity during class. The staff here are always friendly and respectful, creating a welcoming environment that makes working out enjoyable. Last…. Today I got the Shirt and signed up with my kids! I’m excited to have my kids partake in this journey with me. Other gyms I attend do not provide training for my kids like The Sanctuary Gym. I’m especially eager to involve my kids and help them develop a healthy lifestyle from a young age!

Fantastic experience: Take advantage of this gym if you’re close enough. You will never find a gym like it I promise you. The people/ atmosphere cant be matched. Johnathan has the right machines. He understood the assignment!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Been going to it for years. There are plenty of machines and I can go to the gym any hour of the day! The atmosphere is welcoming and plenty of space and equipment to do agility work.

Negative experience: The gym owner is super friendly but the gym was always filthy when I went in. Equipment is often broken and goes long periods of time without getting fixed. I found my money was better spent at a chain gym. I like supporting local businesses but couldn't continue supporting this one.

Negative experience: Very rude front desk staff! Specially the guy named Ethan is a not a good representation of a Christian gym.. If he doesn’t like his job as a receptionist then I don’t know what in the world he’s doing there. He wasn’t able to answer any questions in regards a membership and ignored my request to speak to someone able to help. Sad to say he’s driving possible new customers away.

There is a good variety of equipment and an atmosphere of productivity and trust among the members. 24 hour access passes are a huge plus!

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome! They have something for everyone. It's huge and has lots of cardio equipment, a football field with sleds and tires, a crossfire area, dozens of machines for every conceivable muscle group, all the plates, bars and free weights you could ever need and expert trainers. And it's SUPER CHEAP!!! Too cheap in fact for everything that this place has. I was paying 4 x as much at another gym that wasn't half as good. Give this place a try! You will love it.

Fantastic experience: The Sanctuary Gym deserves way more praise and appreciation than it probably gets. The hassle free atmosphere, employees, and amount of equipment/space are enough to make any patron feel at home. Jonathan, the owner I have met, is a class act and polite to everyone he encounters. I encourage any and everyone who is either starting their fitness journey or looking to find a new gym to purchase a membership here and stay away from other bigger name gyms that only care about profit.

Negative experience: No customer service the only worry about the emails and text!!! They don't want to truly help people who r asking to get into shape. They r not handicap friendly and only want to help people who r not handicap!! If u weight more then 350lbs they will NOT HELP U!! And if u have a problem they blame the problem on u!! Un Professional!! Ooo well they got a year of free money I guess!! But they will blame Covid or something!! Dont except a call back cause they r to busy helping skinny people!! Love how it's supposed to be a CHRISTIAN place!!!!

Positive experience: Nice gym, lots of equipment and good size facility. Never really busy. Just be prepared to never be able to hear your own music thru earbuds/headphones, over the gym speakers. Saying nothing about their preferred genre, it would be fine if they kept the volume at a reasonable level, as some of us heathens want to hear Metallica or Jay-Z occasionally while lifting.

Fantastic experience: This place is AWESOME! I haven't worked out in over 10 years so I was reluctant to get started again. I decided to stop being so lazy and go check out a few gyms and I found The Sanctuary in Friendswood. I AM SO GLAD I DID!! The gym is very nice and really big so it never feels overcrowded. The employees here are super helpful and make you feel very comfortable. I now work out 3 to 5 times per week! I have lost 25 lbs of fat and replaced it w muscle and I look and feel MUCH better. This is a wonderful place for anyone looking to get in better shape. THEY MAKE IT EASY.

Any trainer at the sanctuary gym is spectacular and knowledgeable— you will not be disappointed!!! Fantastic experience: The sanctuary gym is absolutely perfect. They give military, veteran, and first responder discounts. They have a big variety of equipment and everything is maintained and clean. They have every machine imaginable and then some. This gym is like family. Very positive and everyone there is very nice. Another positive quality of the gym is the 24/7 access. Hands down the best gym in Friendswood.

Fantastic experience: What can i say about this place man. Great atmosphere. Awesome staff. Just signed up 2 weeks ago. Started training with Landon this morning. If the rest of the trainers have half the charisma and encouragement that this guy gives out then you definitely won't find a better place to go. I've always thought mixing faith and business was shady, but the Sanctuary Gym does it with integrity. If you haven't joined yet, you definitely will after you check the place out!

Negative experience: Cassidy is extremely rude and very disrespectful. She doesn’t know how to properly communicate with clients or her staff. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone!

The staff have been helpful and accommodating. There are several trainers, so choosing one that meshes with your needs should be easy. My wife and patients have both been happy with their trainers. If you are looking for a basic gym that gives you everything you need without all the hype of one of the brand name locations, this is the place for you.
