Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service. The swimming pool needs to be at least partially covered.

Negative experience: They've been promising to open the pool for two years. Always in six months or at the first of the year. The facility itself is not open enough to sustain a serious fitness program. If you work normal hours you can only access the gym Monday through Thursday.

Positive experience: I like coming here for a quick workout. The gym is clean and nice, but there’s a nice pool, that is always closed. And online, it says that the facility closes at noon, but I am here at 11:05, and they are closed. Please fix your hours on google and on your website.

Positive experience: This place might not be the biggest workout center, but it is kept nice. Has a basketball court, workout room, clean bathrooms and showers, an outdoor pool, and much more. A good place to run in for a workout after work.

Positive experience: Dear YMCA, please put up a sign in the ladies locker room that says “no cell phone usage.” Hearing someone’s camera phone go off as I’m stepping out of the shower isn’t exactly comforting. I don’t care how good you think you’re looking today, Becky… put. the camera. down.

Positive experience: I like the changes made in the workout gym concerning my children

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to the area and wanted to start a healthy exercise routine as a family. The Thelma Ley facility does that for us-we can all go to the gym together and know the kids are safe and taken care of while we get a good workout in! All the staff is very nice and the facility is clean. Thanks so much for being a part of our community.

Positive experience: Swimming pool and surrounding area needs attention. Needs more water aerobics classes after 5:00'when most people get off work.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with this gym since a couple months after I gave birth to my now 6 year old. I have a 9 year old as well & they’ve always enjoyed being there in Childwatch while I work out. I don’t trust ppl with my children much but those workers do a great job & are friendly & kind. My nine year is now I’m soccer & it’s fun! The coach is great!

Fantastic experience: Building stronger families everyday. The YMCA has something to offer for everyone great after school activities great summer camp programs great Youth Development. You can learn how to swim or play Pickleball with seniors truly a gem in our community.

Fantastic experience: Don't go here anymore but they have everything, very clean, good yearly rates of membership

Positive experience: Pricy for the gym. BB court not full size and always have to share with volleyball leagues. Found a gym for $10 a month, always open, so I left. Always was clean, staff was hit or miss depending (huge turnover).

Negative experience: This place is just appalling it’s always been kinda an issue with attitude of the employees there are some amazing employees though but some are just awful if you need a gym go to Alvin Community College

Fantastic experience: So nice the place has so many different types of machines that work out different types of the body and it has a running track in the back you can use also

Positive experience: The place is okay but I think the restrictions around the pool is ridiculous. Parents work from morning to afternoon and kids has been home all day during summertime. You take them to the pool and they tell you no, it is closed for classes. How can the whole pool area be closed for training. We pay monthly fees to use the amenities, why the restrictions from 5 to 7pm when parents are just arriving from work. A small part of the pool should be section off for kids to play and relax. Even when I got there there was only one person in the whole pool. Imagine that!

Fantastic experience: Love it! TV on machines. Plenty of open swim hours. Organized activities available.
