Fantastic experience: The best gym I have been a member of. The staff are professionals. The place is well kept and clean. It's the only place in the Ankeny area, I want to be a member. Great work guys!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal staff and loads of equipment. If there was one thing I’d change, it would be swapping out the cleaning rags with disposable wipes. 99/100 times, I grab a rag to wipe my equipment or bench and it’s sopping wet with cleaning solution and sweat. You can go up and get a clean one, but still, grabbing a wet rag isn’t the most pleasant solution. Still 5/5 because that’s the only complaints. Otherwise, like stated, staff are tops and it has all the equipment you could ever need. Great locker rooms and spa! Plenty of aerobic equipment too.

Fantastic experience: The facility will be open to members at all hours starting from July 2021. However, due to the current situation, the facility will be closed until further notice.

He always makes sure to welcome people and carry on a conversation. He loves his job, which makes me love coming here! Thank you, Dave, for the amazing service you provide!

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I started working out here roughly 5 months ago when we moved to Ankeny and we love it! It does get busy but the equipment, staff and price of the membership makes it worth it! We have the premium membership which is $30/month. Although it is a one person membership I get unlimited guest swipes. It works perfect because we work out together so we each only really pay $15 each month. I highly recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Tina Ricaurte for a personal trainer! She's has turned the grind of working out into something to look forward to! She is great at making sure I understand what and why I am doing certain moves. She listens to my questions and concerns, making sure our workouts are fun and challenging. Tina is fantastic!

With a busy work schedule and a kid, I don’t have time to get there anymore. Staff was very friendly and understanding when I discontinued my membership today. Fantastic experience: Jared is amazing. He is super nice and gives great tips on what to improve on, and is great about telling you what you’re doing good with. He is very encouraging, but not too in your face, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend him for you’re personal training!

Fantastic experience: I joined Aspen about 8 months ago after checking out several gyms. Their highly recommended trainers, reasonable rates, and comfortable atmosphere filled all ages and body shapes sold me. I've been so happy with my decision! I've worked with Lexi both one on one and in group training and I can't recommend her highly enough. She listens to my goals and is helping me reach all of them with encouragement and humor. I love working out at Aspen Ankeny, the friends I've made there is just a huge bonus.

Fantastic experience: I joined Aspen after the gym I was going to closed down. I really like the atmosphere because it doesn't feel like it's only for the super in-shape/fitness guru people: there is a mixture of ages and abilities and everyone is respected. Fantastic experience: Switched to Aspen strictly because of the awesome hours! Most gyms have a limited schedule of when you can workout, but being open 24/7, Aspen makes it so much easier. Blair showed me all the benefits of this location compared to others and I absolutely love it!

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful place to work out! There is plenty of space and it’s very well kept up with. All equipment is clean and always ready to use. Members are very great at cleaning stuff off after they use it. You will be greeted every time coming into the club, and also told to have a wonderful day when leaving. The staff here is very friendly, and always welcoming! Blair at the front desk is always friendly in the mornings when we walk in and when we leave! The training staff is also very friendly and helpful. Prices are extremely fair to join this club, and I would recommend it to anyone. We drive clear from south ankeny to attend this gym. It’s a very nice place to work out at. We have never had any troubles with this facility!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at Aspen for just under a year now. I have not had any negative experiences with staff or other people working out. I have been training with Dylan (one of Aspen's trainers). He has always emphasized technique and safety over just shooting for the biggest numbers possible; focusing on your weaknesses to improve your physical fitness overall. I think this mentality is important in a good trainer. I may have not been in the mood to do a certain workout, but I've never felt like I was being pushed to where an injury was imminent. All of the other trainers I've spoken to have been nice with an emphasis on you bettering yourself with no judgment on where you currently are in life. Also a shout out to Blair and the other front desk staff. Even on the mornings when I really don't feel like working out they make it better. They are very helpful and kind.

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoy my time spent in workouts at Aspen Athletic. The experience is in a place alive with plenty of activity but not crowded. The very clean environment is motivating as the clientele as a whole is serious about making improvement with their fitness and, along with the staff, are encouraging and openly friendly. My experience with the personal trainers helped me push through a plateau in fitness and weight control. I appreciate the educational value for making balanced improvements and making exercise actually fun. The different levels of membership tailor fit programs and offerings so one doesn’t pay for things not deemed necessary or has availability to a full of array of amenities.

Fantastic experience: Aspen is a fantastic gym! The facilities are very nice, and include a variety of cardio equipment, strength training machines, power racks, and even an area for CrossFit style workouts. The staff is super friendly as well! Special shoutout to Blair at the front desk for always being SUPER welcoming, and my trainer Joel for keeping the workouts hard, and actually motivating me to improve both my fitness and my technique. With his help I have lost nearly 30 lbs in 2 months! I would recommend this gym to my own mother.

Fantastic experience: Coming into Aspen is one of my favorite parts of the day. The staff are all super friendly, and knowledgeable and all willing to give recommendations on stretching, strength, etc. My personally favorite trainer is Lexi, and we have been training together for almost a year now. She always listens to my questions about my diet, exercise regime and always makes me feel like an important part of her day.

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you a little something about this gym. This place has it all: weights, machines, hot tub, massages, F@#&ING YOGA, tanning bed, all the cardio BS, and Peter (shouts to my boy Peter). This gym has changed my life and made me the shredded beast I am today. Every major event in my life will henceforth take place at Aspen in Ankeny. I will get married here with an open bar that exclusively provides Bang (which is conveniently sold 24/7 already). Peter and my girl Jenna (shouts to Jenna) will give me away and perform the ceremony. I am in such good shape now that I am probably immortal. But if I die, it will be attempting my third rep of 805 for overhead squat. I will be cremated in the sauna and my ashes will be added to the chalk bucket. However, this will never happen because my form is absolutely textbook (thanks again Jenna) and my boy Peter will be spotting me. So come on down to Aspen and workout with me. At the rate that I am improving, I am pretty sure Jenna will have me actually flying any day now. So I’ll be the guy doing literal freaking air squats above the dumbbell racks.

Fantastic experience: A great place to workout and get in shape. I have been going to this gym and working with a trainer since late Feb 2019. The gym isn't huge, but the equipment is well-maintained and the staff is nice and friendly. Everyone smiles when you walk in, making the idea of going to the gym, in general, more appealing.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member since day one of opening and this is the first gym I have been able to get a good workout in a fun and open environment. The new owner takes the time to walk around and talk with customers and get feedback on how to continually make the gym better. Cannot wait to see how this place improves in the future.

Fantastic experience: I don’t really like the gym...any gym for that matter but I go to this gym because of my trainer, Lexi (and the people in my Boot Camp Class). I know I need to exercise and Lexi holds me accountable. She keeps me motivated. It’s been a year now and I will continue to go to Aspen. Overall I have no issues with the gym or the people that go there.

Aspen is a wonderful facility that has a friendly staff and atmosphere. It offers a variety of equipment as well as classes. I started to work with a personal trainer for the first time in my life and highly recommend Lexi. She is very knowledgeable, offers a variety of workouts/exercises and tailors them specifically to your needs and goals. Lexi is fun, very motivating and great to work with. I can't recommend Aspen Athletic Club and their personal training staff enough!

Fantastic experience: Aspen is an amazing gym to join! The atmosphere is great, equipment is always clean and the staff is awesome! Open 24/7 which is a perk as is the hot/cold tubs and sauna. I have been working with Joel who is an outstanding trainer and coach during the CrossFit classes and Individual training, breaking down every move to your understanding. He has helped me set goals and push hard to reach them; all while having fun and meeting a bunch of new friends along the way. Aspen is like a little family so go in and join today!

Fantastic experience: The equipment is great and I am always use able tot weights/machines I want to. I can bring a friend for no additional cost, it's included in my already low cost monthly membership fee. The staff is friendly and they have always gone above and beyond to meet my needs. Having access to the cold/hot tub and sauna is an absolute extra perk.

The atmosphere is great, the people are kind and polite. I love the space, its perfect. From the outside looking in, I wouldn't have realized how big this place is. After workouts I love getting in the sauna. Everything is so clean. It's easy to go to the gym when you feel at home. 100% satisfied!

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym in the Des Moines/Ankeny Metro. Eric has changed the way I think about health, nutrition and taking care of my body. He is really good at explaining why we are doing certain exercises and is even better and motivating me to do them. He has excellent people skills and knows how to personalize the health and fitness plan to meet your specific needs. Even if you aren't looking for a trainer, this gym is amazing by itself. The facilities are amazing and the prices are even better.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. The hours are reasonably flexible if you don't work crazy hours. The employees and trainers are awesome. The equipment is great since it is new. Several items have had issues since opening; however, they have always been good about having things fixed in a timely manner.
