Fantastic experience: I love Crunch! They have every piece of equipment you need, amazing environment, and everyone is always so kind! I trained with Big Jon for my first ever body building show and won first place! He knows what he’s doing and really cares! You can tell his passion is in the gym and making people better! If you check out this location you have to make sure to find him!! If you care about being strong, gaining muscle and confidence, or just want to overall be healthy, he is your guy!

Fantastic experience: Crunch Fitness – Johns Creek is a great gym but what truly makes it stand out is the personal training. Jon (“Big Jon”), the personal training manager, is exceptional! Jon is motivating and truly cares about his clients and has some of the deepest knowledge and expertise in training and nutrition that I’ve seen. He builds customized plans that work whether you are just starting out or an advanced athlete. My daughter and I have both trained with him and the results have been tremendous. Jon’s energy is contagious, and he pushes you to excel while keeping it fun. He’s a true professional and I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Negative experience: Disappointed with Inconsistent Policy I’m really upset with how this Crunch Johns Creek location handled things today. I tried to bring my 16-year-old brother as my guest, but Danny declined him because he’s under 18 and needed a parent present. What’s frustrating is that I’ve brought him as my guest to other Crunch locations — even this same one before — and they never had an issue. In the past, they simply asked for his license or permit and let us in without a problem. It makes no sense that different Crunch locations have completely different rules. If there’s a policy about guests under 18, it should be enforced the same way everywhere — not depend on who’s at the front desk. I’ve been a loyal member and always bring my brother to work out safely with me, so being turned away like that was really disappointing. Definitely not the kind of experience I expected from a gym that’s supposed to be friendly and consistent across locations.
Fantastic experience: I have been training with Big John for a few months back at another Crunch and followed him GLADLY to his new location No other trainer can work me harder, while simultaneously laughin and enjoying my session the entire hour John not only has built my strength and performance back up but is making me really ENJOY lifting again I may scream a few “I hate yous” mid session but I am never leaving not feelin like I got pushed to my full potential John has a long term (as long as my bank account allows lol) client out of ME!!

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best equipped Crunch locations. I train with Jon who is the personal training manager. Jon is an excellent trainer whose knowledge base is unmatched. Jon can address any training needs from the beginning lifter to a serious competitor. Jon is friendly, dependable and not only pushes his clients but pushes himself. He walks the walk. I highly recommend Jon if you want to see real, substantial results —there is nobody better.

Fantastic experience: Since Joining crunch I’ve been so happy with my results . My personal trainer Big Jon is amazing !!! I’ve struggled so much these last few years with my weight and just staying committed to going to the gym. Jon makes it all worth it .. He encourages me he makes it fun he interacts with me asks me what’s my goals . He cares it’s not just a job for him it’s his passion . He cares he gives me pointers meal plans etc. His energy is unmatched I love it… Thank you Jon

Negative experience: Do NOT sign up for their PT program! They overcharge you, then even after you cancel, they charge you AGAIN and only refund half of what they took. Completely dishonest and unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually respects their customers UPDATED EDIT TO OWNER’S RESPONSE I’ve called three separate times about this issue and was told nothing could be done, despite having signed paperwork clearly showing the refund amount I was owed. I was only refunded half of that amount. I’ve also asked multiple times to speak directly with the owner, left my cellphone number, and never received a call back. It’s been weeks now. Also, it’s very clear that the response from the “owner” was written using ChatGPT. The generic phrasing and structure make that obvious. It’s honestly an embarrassing display of customer service. Instead of copy pasting AI responses, maybe try actually resolving issues when customers reach out. You can see my name in this review, you have my number and account in your system, give me a call to actually resolve this issue.

Negative experience: Justin Kane , the manager in the pink shirt was very , I mean VERY upset. When he said "you can keep the $15 you look like you need it" Who saids anything like that to another man. Why was he mad?? I signed up for a membership and canceled during my free trial. He said I " ABUSED " their program and gave me a whole fit because I called him "Buddy". Keep in mind when I was signing up I actually tried to cancel and go home, but I was convinced just to try it out and cancel within 3 days if I decide not to continue. Justin also tried to make me pay $15 for the day charge which is ridiculous when I was promised I wouldn't be charged. I own a business driven by sales and trust me I would not hire this guy. Napoleon Complex was on full display today 100% . Grow up. Anyway I'm telling all my family members to cancel their memberships, and we will transfer to lifetime where the Gym Manager is Professional. You would expect a little bit more from the Johns Creek location. I hope upper management sees that a poor GM like Justin will decline sales for gyms. Justin just because you couldn't control your little temper, you just lost 4 memberships. Hey Hq, look at the previous reviews and see how often Justin is being brought up. Do you guys just hire anyone? Everyone else working there was fine and would make a better candidate as manager than Justin. I'm not even sure if he's emotionally mature enough to be a team member at Crunch.... I'm not mad because he seems like he had a very I mean VERY bad day at work or brought his personal life into work today. * Do me a favor to whoever manages the Crunch JC google business page, but don't just reply to this comment, I would rather appreciate you escalating this matter to upper management above Justin. His anger management needs to be reviewed.

Negative experience: Every experience I had dealing with freezing my account, has been difficult, I have had to freeze my account on numerous occasions due to going out of state for school. Every single time I have to call them to see why they are charging me and every single time I receive different information from the staff. But this time one of the charges, I noticed was excessively high, not to mention I was not even in the state using the services and I had gone in prior to leaving the state to get my account frozen. I call Crunch and they tell me they attached late fees from two months, but they withdraw the money from account... so to reiterate CRUNCH withdraws the money from my account but adds on late fees, even though they withdraw it as a reoccuring payment. Pay attention to the money Crunch withdraws from your account. Also their equipment would be broken most of the time I went.
Fantastic experience: Just finished another challenging session with my personal trainer, Stan…The man! I was referred to him and I am so glad I signed up to train with Stan. He pushes you just enough where are you are challenged but empowered when you leave. Still sweating…!Thank you, Stan, for believing I can do it! See you again soon!

Negative experience: Because of the new advertisement I changed from La fitness to Crunch and so far I love it. But this crunch location is the only one alway with a problem. When I checked with the location where I originally signed up (Duluth), they told me my account was completely fine. But the GM at this location Justin’s attitude made the whole situation worse. He talks down to members, acts like he’s doing you a favor, and seems more interested in pushing everyone to sign up at his club instead of Duluth than actually helping. The way he handled things was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Crunch is a good gym overall, but the Johns Creek location seriously needs better leadership a GM who actually treats paying members with respect.
Negative experience: I've been to this location 20+ times and all of the staff are great - always helpful and professional. The only issue is with the GM, Justin. When he was checking me in, he suddenly claimed there was a problem with my account and said I couldn't come back until it was fixed. I confirmed with my sign-up location that my account was fine. The way he spoke to me was dismissive and unprofessional, which is disappointing given how good the rest of the team is. No reason for me to name call, but that is Short Man Syndrome.

Negative experience: Dear Crunch Fitness Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am currently visiting Atlanta from Berlin, Germany for one month, and my mother and I were genuinely excited to join Crunch Fitness together. On Friday around 4 PM, we had a wonderful experience with three of your staff members — Jackson, Ivana, and another gentleman who seemed to be a manager. They welcomed us warmly, explained the membership options, and even provided us with free trial passes so we could test the facilities before making a final decision. Their professionalism and friendly energy left a fantastic impression on us, and we were ready to commit to a membership plan (around $30/month for a year). Unfortunately, my experience this morning was the complete opposite. At around 8 AM, I went to use one of the passes that had been personally signed and given to me by your staff. The front desk employee on duty (a woman with dyed yellow hair and exaggerated false eyelashes, whose demeanor and presentation were far from professional for a fitness environment) immediately gave me an unpleasant and defensive attitude. While she did accept today’s pass, she told me that the other passes I still have — which were also signed and handed to me by your own staff — could not be used. This makes absolutely no sense: why were they given to me in the first place? This contradiction not only creates confusion but also made me feel unfairly questioned. Her dismissive and almost hostile behavior completely ruined what should have been a positive workout experience. A gym should be a safe and welcoming space, where members and guests feel comfortable — not a place where the very first person they see greets them with hostility. While your staff on Friday made me feel at home and motivated to join, today’s interaction with this employee completely changed my perception of your facility. With all due respect, I cannot imagine signing up for a long-term membership if I risk encountering this type of treatment at the reception. First impressions matter, but consistency matters even more. I strongly suggest that management review this incident and take the necessary steps to ensure that all members and guests are treated with professionalism, respect, and courtesy — values that Jackson, Ivana, and the other gentleman clearly demonstrated. Negative experience: I went as my friend’s guest because I’ve been looking for a new gym, specifically ones offering solid group classes. Upon checking in, the receptionist—who appeared to be training other employees—told us only members could enter the class and suggested I wait outside until my friend was finished. She repeatedly told me that if I signed up, then I’d be able to join her. We were asked to leave our yoga mats by the trash can, which felt a bit unwelcoming. What struck me as odd was that they kept highlighting the benefits of group classes before offering a chance to try. I was asked 4-5 times if I wanted to sign up, but given that the only option presented was paying a yearly fee + 3 mo. membership before I could experience what they were like, I really didn’t want to. The gym itself was clean, well-equipped, and loved that the AC was on full blast but the initial interaction left such a bad impression that I probably wouldn’t go back there.

Negative experience: Just relocated to Johns creek and went to this location with a wellhub account twice this week with no problem. Today, after I scanned my code, Sadie said it was not valid but would not be able to show me the proof. On my wellhub account, it showed I have already checked in this location. I showed the checked in info to Sadie but she still refused to let me in. Very poor customer service. Disappointed.

Negative experience: The membership rules here make absolutely no sense. When I first signed up for the “membership + 1 person” plan, they told me I could bring anyone with me—random friends, family, whoever. Then suddenly, they changed it so it could only be one specific person. Now, they’ve decided that I have to leave my ID at the front desk while I work out. What if they lose it? Who’s responsible then? It feels like they change their rules every single month, and it’s always more inconvenient for the customer. Very frustrating.
Fantastic experience: This location is super clean and all equipment is working properly. The staff was also super friendly and helpful in signing me up for my membership. I had an especially amazing experience with a trainer named Bri. She was so helpful in terms of communicating and demonstrating. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at the Crunch-Johns Creek location for about two years now. I absolutely love it. I love that the first face I see when I enter is my girl, Ivana ! She IS Crunch ❤️. The gym is clean, fully equipped with the best equipment, top tier personal trainers and a really good community of people that prioritize self care through fitness. I am so content here.

Fantastic experience: Ivanna is one of the best people at the front desk & probably the gym as a whole. She’s always friendly and helpful with whatever concerns I have. She takes the time to explain things and makes sure my issues are fully resolved rather than dismissing me. I also love the videos she makes of the trainers, the one of her standing on them like a cheerleading pyramid was hilarious.

Negative experience: I honestly used to love coming here when I was younger, but recently the place has gone downhill. I went to reactivate my account and I was charged almost double what I was paying before (currently advertised as 9.99, but my membership cost 18.50). When I asked why it cost so much more the person at the front desk said "inflation man...". I also asked multiple times, are there any other fees that will be inccurred because I am only going for 3 months. I was lied to and hit with a $60 annual fee 2 months later. Now moving onto the gym itself. If you are coming any time after work (4pm-8pm), good luck, because it is extremely over crowded. I would have to decide my workout based on what machines didn't have a line at them and who wants that. Now onto my final experience... I went to cancel my account because I am moving, and I was told I have to pay for one more month as that is what is in the contract. I will never get a membership at crunch again, and I do not suggest anyone does. The price does not justify the quailty, and their service is awful.

Negative experience: I recently visited the facility 5/16 and found it to be nice overall, but it was quite crowded during my visit. Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order, which was disappointing. My interaction with one of the associates was less than ideal. I felt an aggressive sales push to sign up for the standard gym program, even after I clearly communicated that I was only interested in the group fitness program. To make matters worse, after communicating that I was told that the WiFi was down, and couldn’t sign up. I won’t be back!! However, I ended up calling the Tucker location to gather all the necessary details, and I was able to go there, sign up, and pay the additional fees for class access. I'm looking forward to the opening of the Duluth location, hoping for a smoother experience in the future!

Negative experience: 90% of members have their own headsets with preferred audio. Mgt at JC, however, play up there music that no one cares about requiring members to compete with their volumes. I asked 10 members. Not one cares for C music. So turn down the noise to #4 volume so members don't have to compete. Thank you!
Negative experience: It's a good gym for the price, but the parking lot is always full, so you have to turn far away and pull over, and you have to wait because there are many people who use fitness equipment. There is some discomfort when exercising because of the broken exercise equipment. When the white woman was the manager, the staffs under the manager were kind, but now the Jonhs Creek Crunch is nothing like that anymore. The manager has turned into a man, and most of the employees are male and unfriendly especially black staff, Gregory who wears glasses was rude and unkind. Also, tall white man staff, Charlie who works at the front desk is rude. Charlie looks nice and kind on the outside, but he glances at me as if I am bothering him to ask for extra services like massages. I'd like to ask why. I am a vip member (peak results) and I'm just claiming extra services about membership, and he just glances at me like he's being annoyed. I always feel not get welcomed when I come inside this gym. I don't understand why they are so mean. Trainers are kind but the front desk staffs are mostly unkind. I should tell this to general manager or head quarter office .
Negative experience: The gym is outdated with old machines amd equipment. The layout is tight and didn't make sense. It felt like a garage gym equipped with garage sale finds. Plus I had no phone service. In addition to not having any music, I couldn't receive any phone calls. I shouldn't have to rely on wifi which was password protected. The vibe there was off and needs a major upgrade. The 2 stars is for a clean locker room and bathroom.

Negative experience: Scummy business tactics do not come here the 5 star reviews are from employees essentially guilt tripping you to leave a 5 star review. That is just the tip of the iceberg

Negative experience: Used to be way better pre-Covid. One of the employees, Charlie, kept pressuring my friend to leave a review in order for him to get his “free” t-shirt, despite the fact that my friend had signed up for the $30 membership literally yesterday. Thankfully my friend eventually got his shirt, but Charlie inspired me to leave a review and share my horrible experiences here with Crunch Johns Creek. Unrelated to that incident, my dad had signed up for his membership with his credit card back in 2019, but the card expired sometime between 2022-23. Instead of calling, texting, emailing, or literally communicating at all, Crunch Johns Creek decided to start billing him on his federal government bank account. How they even got that information? I have no idea. But they kept silently billing him until he finally noticed and we went to go cancel the membership. Also, when we asked to get a print out of my dad’s billing information, the employee also had everybody who had recently checked in listed on the side of the paper. This included their photo, full legal name, membership type, etc. Pretty sure that’s a HIPAA violation. My dad’s negative experience in cancelling his membership is far from the only one. Even when I cancelled my membership years ago, I was essentially interrogated by the employee. “Why are you cancelling?” “Want to look into other membership options?” “Do you have a friend with a guest pass?” Just a constant barrage of questions. I’ve had at least 2 of my friends state similar experiences when cancelling their memberships. I also remember another friend signing up for a membership with his father and the employee trying to get both of them to sign up. That would’ve been fine, but the employee decided to fat-shame his dad by stating “you look like you need a gym membership” while looking at him. I could go on about my negative experiences here, but this review is already too long. Considering the base price with no commitment (you absolutely should NOT commit to Crunch) has been raised to $16, the bathrooms don’t even have paper towels anymore, and the employees clearly don’t respect the paying members, I highly suggest going to literally any other gym. Planet Fitness is better, and that’s saying something.
Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help or offer advice. I also appreciate the variety of classes offered. The overall vibe is motivating, and it’s clear the gym is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

Negative experience: The customer service is awful! We asked to speak with the manager to address an issue that we didn’t want other club members to experience, but the manager showed no interest in what we had to say. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers since they never respond to negative reviews, and apparently, that’s how they train their managers as well.
Fantastic experience: Everything about this place is excellent; except the grid pattern of the lights is offset and not in uniform. They should be aligned directionally, horizontally, laterally, and vertically. Take a look for yourself, and you will see they are not on true alignment.

Negative experience: This is one of the worst gyms in johns creek area. I will really stay away from it. All the equipments are dirty. There is no air circulation. The whole place stinks . Seems to a major health hazard. Spoke to front desk, Tht guy was really rude... seems was on drugs or something. I will really have this places checked with proper officials.
Positive experience: I’ve debated posting this because I do love coming to the JC Crunch location. The people are great, the trainers are great, there’s lots of great equipment and so on….hence 4 stars. However, it’s dirty AF, I know it’s a gym and all but you know it’s bad when you cough up dust bunnies after a workout. The pictures are just a few of many I didn’t take of the filth. Additionally, the cable machines are either broken or the plastic is cracked making them hard to work with. The cable towers in the center of the gym - the levers stick and the pulley cables grab causing the motion to be jumpy. Missing parts on some machines. I digress - CRUNCH JC, please do better

Negative experience: Appears they demand access to your credit cards, savings and checking account to use their services. Unreasonable and suspicious... setup to scam people, be careful or stay away... buyer beware, huge red flags.
Negative experience: I tried to sign up today. It appears they only accept payment via direct transfer from a checking or savings account, they won't take cash, check or credit card. Makes no sense... I wanted to give them money, they wouldnt take it, they only seem to want sweeping access to my bank accounts, it seems to be a real fishing scam... be warned... they obviously get into litigation with their clients often and having direct access to your account gives them significant power over you... do you trust them with it? Not I. Forced to walk away.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this location for several months and couldn’t be happier. I love all of the equipment that’s available & having access to a sauna without having to go too far. The trainers are super knowledgeable, I recently had a session with Bethani and she was amazing. So happy I joined here !

Negative experience: I lived across the street my whole life and was there during the Forum days. Been coming to this gym for the last 20 years. The change was horrible. Crunch is maybe one step up from planet fitness which isn’t saying much.. Even as recently as Christmas time last year the gym was in one of the worst shapes I’ve ever seen in a gym. Broken equipment, the floor was so unleveled that you had to keep your feet on your dumbbells so they didn’t roll into someone else or worse someone trip on them and get injured carrying some heavy weight (I’m sure there’s checks and standards for this to avoid lawsuits), they oversold the gym so much so that there are lines to equipment. This isn’t my issue. Yesterday I went in and was delighted to see it was updated slightly and things were reorganized. I was wrong. The staff are incredibly unprepared and had no knowledge about anything. I asked where the calf raise machine was. One staff member didn’t know, then the next didn’t know. Then I asked the question “does anyone in this building know where the calf raise machine is?” The answer was just “no”. What a joke. A few other things happened like issues buying a drink etc but for Christ sake someone from corporate please come in here and clean house and manage your gym like a professional! This is a joke.
Negative experience: I used to live in johns creek 4 years ago and would go to this gym multiple times a week I never had a bad experience with the gym until I moved. After moving I had forgotten to cancel the membership I called and explained the situation the manager said he would get it taken care of for me so I thought that was that. Fast forward 4 years later and it turns out I have been getting charged the whole time. Upon contacting crunch about this they still said I would have to go into the location to cancel. At this point I am telling my credit card to decline any further charges this is ridiculous. I will never join a crunch location again and would suggest others do not the cancellation policy is the same scam practice as many other gyms.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with Crunch for 3 years now. I have been consistently going to the Athens location when I was in school, Chamblee location, as well as this one. The Johns Creek location is by bar the cleanest, nicest, and most friendly gym I have ever been in. The staff is accommodating and relatable. There is a strong sense of community here and I run into the same guys all the time and it’s a great place to workout regardless of your fitness goals. They have upgraded it to be the nicest in the area. 10/10 recommend. Happy 4th of July.

Negative experience: Beaware! Please Check your credit card after canceling the membership. Most of the reviews are fake. Update 2/3/2024 After a year canceling my membership I’m still being charged. I was told I never canceled the membership even though I went there and signed the document. 11/21/23 wish I could give zero star. I wanted to terminate my membership and I was told 30 days notice was required and I had to be at the facility personally, when I talked to a manager about this over a call, who was very rude to begin with. When I went there to sign the credit card payment, they told me to pay for 50 days. They count 30 days not from the day you give notice to them, it’s counted from the day your credit card was charged. So if you joined the gym on 25th of month and you went to give them a 30 days notice on 27th of same month. Your 30 days will start from the next month of 25th, so you will be paying for almost 58 days. They just try to get your money.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible, they have scammed me out of my money. I asked them if I were the cancel were there any fees, they said no but when i tried to cancel i Payed 84$ in “fees”
Fantastic experience: They have done massive renovations, and this is by far the nicest crunch in the area. The staff is super friendly, especially Keenan. 10 out of 10 recommend.
