Fantastic experience: Love the service and the staff is on point!! Highly recommend too friends and family
Fantastic experience: I'm writing to express our sincere appreciation for the excellent experience AZSKY FASTPITCH had recently while hosting a parent meeting in your conference room. We were thoroughly impressed and would wholeheartedly recommend your facility to any company or group in need of a comfortable and professional meeting space. From the moment our athletes and their families arrived, two friendly staff members greeted each person and personally escorted them to the conference room. The room itself was perfect, comfortably accommodating 25 people and reflecting the high standards of an elite establishment that genuinely cares about its community. We especially appreciate Chase Lechner, who checked in with us both before and after our meeting to ensure everything was going smoothly. Beyond the meeting room, the entire health spa and club is absolutely gorgeous and filled with helpful staff members. We truly enjoyed our time at The Village Health Club & Spa and would highly recommend joining.

Fantastic experience: New update July 16. 4.4 lbs of added muscle mass and PBF reduced from 20 to 12.4 in just 45 days! Thanks to OV and mostly Kamal! I’ve learned a ton from him but also have learned from other s like PT’s like Adam and the strength/cardio instructors and my first Yoga class! Loved it! In terms of Personal Trainers, Kamal is a gem! And as a representative of a fantastic Health Club! Updated June 24th, 2025, 20th day at the Village Health Club Ocotillo. The staff is phenomenal! Everyone! Ellie, Chase, the PT team, Kamal and David specifically but all seem awesome. The class instructors are all fantastic! Kelci, Kara, Amy, Kimberly just so many and all do a great job and all are in amazing physical condition. Someday I might be close! The locker room staff, oh and best of all I found Sean! Truly an expert in hair cuts and certainly knows what he is doing! So impressed by all! The spa looks beautiful and smells nice! And Gretchen in the cafe is exceptional! Nick at the front too! Super welcoming and remembered my name the second day I saw him! May 18th, 2025. Joined yesterday and this place is amazing! I’ve lived behind the club since 2003 and watched it as it was built. Never checked it out though. Ellie is fantastic and my very first training class was with Kara. I loved every second of it. It was the Muscle Express. Place is clean, not overly noisy and well worth the price. Went again Sunday and did the Core strengthening class with Kelci. It was awesome but I just couldn’t keep up! Have to give it a go again when I get back from travel. So far all the instructors are very good at how they deliver, instruct and motivate in the class. I really enjoy the classes and never did one before. Ellie is in the front office and always super helpful. I’ve been bragging about how great this place is since I joined. The Cafe is very cool and I really like the protein smoothies Ash! Just a very energizing place yet peaceful and relaxing. Had to add David the Fitness Director already reached out after meeting him on Friday. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Just a great staff overall!

Fantastic experience: I joined The Village about 3 months ago and my entire experience has been outstanding—especially thanks to my fitness/sales rep, Tyler. From the moment of contact, Tyler made the onboarding process smooth, informative, and pressure-free. He took the time to understand my goals, explained the membership options clearly, and even threw in some cool swag I now use all the time. The professional, yet authentic, vibes I got really set the tone for what I was walking into. Additionally, I have to shout out one of the fitness instructors I've come to completely adore, Amy Conrad. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she shows up early, with the best energy and welcome, and she works her butt off with us in class; making it that much more motivating and fun. Amy's positive impact during class is always exactly what I need to stay consistent and challenge myself. Overall, it’s been rare to find a gym that provides such a positive and noticeable difference in my life, so BIG kudos to Tyler and Amy (among many other amazing staff members) for making this "Village" somewhere I look forward to visiting every day!

Fantastic experience: The Village is incredible. I view it as not only a place to exercise with a group or individually it's my special happy place. As a senior woman I initially thought I might be uncomfortable there. The opposite happened. I have made many friends there through the years. I participate as often as possible in activities, classes, including my favorite, Taquata, which is water aerobics. The Village is a beautiful place to be, everything is spotless, and there's just so much to do there, including the Spa which is amazing. The class instructors are very knowledgeable and professional and care about their students. It's the absolute best HealthClub.

Negative experience: Not professional management, and a bad attitude They let some other member charge $125 worth of food and shakes on my account and when I made call after call to Maryann in billing spoke with her she was going to get my account credited she never did and i have left several messages she doesn’t return a phone call and they know it wasn’t me

Positive experience: Was long term Lifetime fitness member and comparing - Ocitillo Village is higher priced but showers / locker room not as nice. Unlike lifetime I find I avoid the shower and the locker room in general. Further free weight area is limited equipment at peak times. Place is crowded and have to wait for key stations - bench, pec deck, dumbbells etc. I do enjoy the variety of weight equipment.

Positive experience: One of the best clubs if not the best in Arizona. Lots of friendly staff and the place is clean most of the time. Patio on main level could use some regular cleaning. Also, some of the showers over the past couple of months have needed some maintenance in terms of the shower heads not working properly

Positive experience: It’s very good gym but it needs better teachers across the board and better points earning system. I would say it was good before September/ October 2023 but all went down hill with not only the points system discouraging plus the increase of the membership cost. I don’t really enjoy the way it’s being managed currently. Everyone’s motivation is declining. We all wanted to see how long we can continue to be a member of the gym we have loved for more than 8 years. Today, there isn’t much great thing to talk about the gym including the quarterly celebrations of which very inconsistently carried out.
Sebrena, sorry to hear you are disappointed in some areas of the club. The Village Rewards Program is a member perk that gets lots of usage and engagement from our members. We do adjust the program from time to time, but we are still offering our members significant rewards based on their usage. We did have an annual increase in our dues this year, as most businesses do, to keep up with the increasing labor and product costs. We have increased our club events and have a very robust quarterly events guide that highlights all the exciting activities happening at the clubs. Negative experience: Membership is given on the basis of privilege and not who can afford it! Visited the facilty amd found Members misbehave with each other..management needs an overhaul and when asked questions they simply have no clue. The facility is alright have seen better. 1 star only because I had no other option less than 1

Fantastic experience: Personally, I LOVE it here at the village! The cafe is spectacular, I can’t get enough of those scented towels, the mat Pilates classes are great, I am obsessed with the shop, the service is fantastic (thank you cooper), the pool is beautiful, love the track, the workout machines are perfect (especially rowers and treadmills, those are the bomb), and oh my gosh the vibes are more than perfect. I love it when I can come here to do some homework in the lobby lounge area while eating from the cafe. After I’m finished, I will run on the track, do the rower, and then stretch. I am obsessed!!! Definitely suggest!!! <3

Positive experience: I've been a member for a while now. I love the facility and the community, but the membership prices are quite absurd. 215for just a single membership? Wow! Also, thr guest pass requirements are just a tad bit too strict.

Negative experience: Staff members do not know how to deal with people. RJ Heyer a membership director should be trained on how to treat guests and how to be professional.Horrible customer service and selection of staff in this particular instance. Racist and unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: It's a GYM that exceeds your expectations. You have everything you need there. cafeteria, Spa, Boutique and the Gym and equipment is exceptional, including all workout classes & heated yoga. Love it !
Fantastic experience: We've been members for over 6 months and love what we've seen so far. My husband and I both love the stretch classes. I love the spin, pilates and group fitness classes. I have done several spa treatments and love those. I appreciate the cafe, the food is fresh and delicious. I also appreciate the activities booklet published every few months, I enjoy knowing the opportunities besides what I see on the app. I have had to really be proactive about finding information and as a new member there wasn't a great roadmap for getting started, but I've continued to pursue what I need to be satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I just joined 3 weeks ago and am absolutely loving it. RJ got me set up with a membership for myself and also my kids to go to Kids Club. Loved how he wasn’t some pushy sales guy. The girls at Kids Club were also very friendly and have been taking great care of my boys! I debated joining only because it’s a half hour+ drive for me, but it’s been so worth the time spent. Yes it’s pricey if you compare it to most local gyms…but the Village isn’t really a gym, it’s a health club. If you use it that way then it is more than worth it! This is the kind of place that if you get bored of your normal workout routine you can just switch to something else they offer. The possibilities are endless! I’m cheap on many things, but my health isn’t one of them. This mama is happy at The Village!

Positive experience: Nice facilities and a lot of group classes, however I can’t say that I think it’s worth the steep membership cost and start-up fee. It’s a nice place but not as luxurious as you’d expect for the price IMO… I personally don’t see the value in it. But overall it is a pretty clean gym with a nice staff.

Fantastic experience: Cooper was professional, courteous, and able to answer any questions I had. I appreciate that he in no way pressured me to join as was my experience with another health club. He has continued to respond immediately with my inquiries. Also, David was phenomenal with the training session! I was previously a Village member and am glad I made the decision to rejoin.

Fantastic experience: I love going to the Spa at the Ocotillo Village!! I get there early to relax with a cup of tea in their quiet room before I have a relaxing, therapeutic massage by Brittany or a wonderful pedicure from Armanda. It's an entire experience, and well worth it! Plus, as a member of the Ocotillo Village, we save 10% at the Spa. Win/Win!

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout and regenerate energy. Nice facilities and equipment you can’t find from other normal gyms.
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the village! The hot yoga room is amazing, the floor in there is wonderful and the teachers are very skilled. I also use a personal trainer and have been extremely happy with the results. The group classes I have attended have been great. I also took Pilates in the reformer studio for about a year and loved that as well! There is so much more to use- but I would have to quit my job and just spend all my time at the Village to use all the services and classes. Basically - there is something for everyone! The staff is super friendly, and the members are always upbeat and happy. The minute I walk through the door, my mood always improves.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from California and after calling 3 or 4 other Who couldn't even take me in to look at the car bar I called borst automotive. Not only did they get me right in but they fixed the car immediately and got me right out for a reasonable price. Their service is excellent and the quality of the workmanship is unsurpassed . That kind of customer service has long gone by the wayside I can't rave about these folks enough. Next time I visit the Phoenix area and I need a little work done on my car I've got the job. Thank you again borst automotive.

Fantastic experience: Honestly.. I moved to AZ and was new and tried mountainside for a while.. then one day I explored gyms online and found the Village! What can I say! Although there are many Village Health Club Spas through out the valley, I still prefer Ocotillo, I love how open it is, the huge windows the natural sunlight coming into the gym.. the layout is definitely easy to understand and to make a routine around! This gym is my favorite place to work out, get some school work done, they even have free water, coffee and it feels like another hangout place that I enjoy! I def recommend this to everyone! Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed! Staff is always kind, attentive to any issues! Thank You Village Ocotillo! There’s many reviews on here saying incorrect things and saying this gym is racist or what they say! But they aren’t members! I have never felt anything but welcomed!

Negative experience: My wife joined The Village fitness facility in Ocotillo the 2nd year after it opened. As member enrollment increased, signing up for classes became increasingly difficult. And with the onset of COVID19, my wife became hyper-sensitive to the inadequacies with the club’s inability to proactively address and mitigate the COVID19 threat in the club workout areas, now with the COVID19 omicron variant spike in October/November, the fitness club had completely relaxed any health mitigation behaviors to protect members from viral transmission. As a function of this threat, my wife desired to terminate her membership, The Village management did not strategically idle exercise equipment to support social distancing, made mask wearing optional, dirty towels were left on machines and the woman’s locker room was constantly in a state of disarray with unsanitary custodial conditions. When we submitted her resignation, the club’s management stated there was a 1 month membership fee penalty for resignation. We had to escalate this issue to corporate senior manager to attain resolution not to pull funds based on my wife’s immediate concerns to no longer visit the club. And then, my wife received a member wide published newsletter from the corporate president that as a function of COVID19, membership fee will increase 7-9% in January, that’s ~$200/mo for single membership. So Village management can’t strategically navigate through the COVID19 crisis on a financial basis therefore it’s the members fault?? Basically, the ask is to pay more for their managerial ineptitude and like it! The bottom line here is that the The Village fitness centers and its management team condone and enable a “put profits ahead of member wellness” mindset, all that corporate senior management seems to care about is a constant streaming revenue baseline and promoting upward trending annual profits so they can maintain their jobs? And if you acquire COVID19 @ their facility, too bad, now pay your monthly membership fee. Stay away here, and ironically stay healthy.

You asked us to waive the 30-day cancellation fee, that your wife agreed to per her signed membership contract, and we did. Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! Signed up after being at planet fitness and never looked back. Been here for over 7 years and this is by far the best gym ever! What sold me at 1st was the friendly staff and management, and the place was so clean and it smells nice like a spa. There are a lot of activities and classes to do here. All the instructors are top notch, caring and professionals. Lionel has been the best personal trainer out of all the places we have trained at. If you do a variety of classes, this place is worth the value compared to paying class by class individually at several places that just do cycle, pilates, yoga, etc. They have also have club activities like cornhole, wine tastings, and club parties.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure where this idea of "racist employees" is coming from. That's a serious accusation. I am an Asian American and I've been with the Village for more than 6 years. During those 6 years, what I have learned is what you put into the Village is what will get back. If you feel the Village employees are racists, that's more of a reflection on you as an individual. I dont know that reviewer: i don't know whether that reviewer is from a competing health club or if they have a personal axe to grind with anyone at the gym. Personally, I've developed strong relationships with several employees across different departments like administration (particularly with Amy and Skip), finance (Nikki), front desk folks (Cooper, Holly), towel staff (Cindy), cafe staff (Kevin and Vanessa)...do I need to go on? This place is my second home and I'm proud to say the employees at the Village are like my extended family.

Fantastic experience: Chase and I had our first encounter over the phone, when I was upset over being charged while not using the gym due to COVID. I thought it was in hold... turned out to be my mistake. I wasn't at my nicest during that call! This was my first week back at the gym. I had to add my daughter to the membership. Chase helped me. I then saw him while I was outside by the pool. Turns out a lot of my neighbors go there and they all had great things to say about him. Chase was super professional and nice to me! Even though I wasn't great to him during our phone call a few months prior. I told everyone in our group there and they all agreed, he's super nice to everyone there. I appreciate how kind he was! Great club! Worth every single penny!

Fantastic experience: Anna and the ladies at the front desk for the spa/nail salon are wonderful! This was my first time ever coming to this nail salon and I will definitely be returning! Everyone is so friendly and made my experience extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Anna hands down provided the best mani/pedi I’ve ever had, she is extremely skilled and has many years of experience under her belt, which was very clear to see! Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Love the workers here, they are always very nice and keep the gym clean 24/7!!!
Positive experience: This place is overall pretty good. But this short old lady(not trying to be offensive) was yelling to us for no reason. My buds and i were always scared when we walked in and saw the lady.
Negative experience: I expressed interest in this facility, and I regret it. I was given a trial pass to experience a workout there before making the commitment to join. The first day I went I was playing basketball by myself with no one around me. My mask fell below my nose because that is what a mask is going to do if you’re being active. An employee sees me from the weight room, and proceeds to walk at least 500-600 feet to tell me to pull my mask over my nose(which I was doing even couple minutes or so anyway). Here’s the kicker other members are lounging with their mask below their nose or off, and he says NOTHING to them. I expressed my concern with this employee to Mary(membership director), and I have yet to receive a response from her. Clearly this place has no code of ethics. I also did not notice any people of color, and I strongly feel that is a part of why my concern was ignored.
Marquell, it is unfortunate that your mask kept falling down while you were playing basketball. You mentioned that is what masks do when you are active but based on the mask mandate we must make sure everyone in the club is properly wearing a face covering while using the club. Members are not required to wear a face covering while drinking or eating in the café but should still maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others. We have many members that play basketball and are able to keep a face covering over their nose. You might want to consider finding a face covering that is made for physical activity so that it stays on. We can provide some recommendations for what works best if you are interested. We have trained our staff to enforce the mask mandate and have signage throughout the club about the need to have a face covering so that we can remain open. Our membership director took some time off for the holidays and is back in the office and will be reaching out to you about this incident. She can also give you a recommendation for the best face coverings to wear when being active. Thank you.
Negative experience: Rude employees. VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES. Overpriced cafe. Weight room is tiny. Gives the impression that being there is a privilege despite you paying TOO much money as a customer per month for a lacking facility. Elitist garbage only for people who want a faux-gym experience that's all too luxurious for what a health club should be.

Negative experience: They don't want new clients or new members. They send you endless emails about joining their "High end club" - then you call to ask if you can come in for a 1 day try out, and the powerhouse sales team they have working there asks on the phone "what are your plans when you come in ? " - Then tells us its $30 a visit. All I can do is laugh - another over-bloated business that could care less about it's customer service or reputation. " We are so awesome " is the mentality here. Don't even waste your time. However - the black rock coffee in the same parking lot is outstanding. So just grab a coffee there and leave the village in the rear view mirror.

At the Village, we pride ourselves on being a place of belonging and community for all of our members. When prospective members reach out to us we want to understand how we can provide them the best service and connect them with the activities and amenities that most align with their interests. We are also a private health club. The safety and security of our members and staff is always our top priority. We ask qualifying questions to our guests and prospective members so that we can maintain that security. As for the $30 for your visit, you made it clear to our membership team that you were just wanting to come in for a day and were not interested in membership. In those cases, we do have a day visit rate of $30. We wish you the best in your search for a health club.

Fantastic experience: Always clean and well run. Staff are friendly and helpful. Yoga teachers are all professional and excellent at their job. They keep us motivated and eager to improve. All-in-all The Village is an excellent value.

Fantastic experience: The classes and boot camps are great as are the facilities overall. The trainers put real thought into changing up the program every week so no two classes are alike. I highly recommend. You definitely get what you pay for.
