Negative experience: the place is OK. the people organizing the kids run are the nastiest “human beings” we have ever met. they put together an event to encourage kids to run. we arrived one minute late. their registration desk was still there and the race has not started yet. but they won’t let us participate. another family of 4 young kids could not enter either. we are disappointed but we are ok. they could have explained the rules and why they could not let the kids just run along. mind you there is no timing, no prize. they pretended to encourage kids to love running. Instead they said no with mean and nasty looks. when i wrote to their management to inquire, they wrote back with capitalized FREE EVENT. How rude and nasty!!! so if an airline could hold the plane to accommodate special situations for a passenger to come through boarding, this club could not. their reasoning is this is a FREE event while airline passengers are paying. since this event is FREE, there should not be any courtesy. They mentioned FREE so many times. It became condescending. It is not actually FREE for us. As parents, we spent our time and efforts to get the kids going because we thought we were supporting a community effort, just after a world pandemic. I guess we thought wrong. They might consider it a charity business for us to drive 20 miles to run and get a small bottle of water. What they are doing is against any sportsmanship and even humanity. we will never go there again after this haunting experience. these people are the nastiest in Lehigh Valley, maybe in the whole world. the nastiest at least i have ever dealt with.

Fantastic experience: My grandchildren were visiting from out of town and they ran one of the kids series races, and they had a blast. My grandkids went to registration, got their numbers, got a goodie bag, and were taken to their starting line all organized by different age groups and different distances, there was a teenage runner dressed like Super Girl that ran with the kids and they all got ribbons and a DJ was playing music and there were clowns giving out balloons. Allentown City EMT people were there in case there were any problems, but as far as I know there weren't. It was an awesome day in the beautiful Lehigh Parkway. I don't know what "Really Useful" is talking about, maybe a different place because this place was great. Great organization.

Fantastic experience: Great place to run, walk, fish, or pick up your dogs poop in a bag and then throw it in the bushes, because you know it will break down much faster that way, and then when the creek floods and that bag finally makes it's way to the ocean it can feed a hungry dolphin that mistakes it for a jellyfish. Oh and this makes a good starting point to see all the trees that were cut down along the little Lehigh. Thank goodness! That 2 foot tree buffer was definitely way too much. It was almost providing shade and protection for the trout getting dive bombed by our way too populous Blue Herons. Oh and if you walk up-stream you will be able to see Uranus. A Definite highlight of my walks!
