Valley Wellness Center: Opinions
Negative experience: I would give zero stars if possible. Many things wrong with the gym, starting with the owner and management. They can’t seem to keep managers, definitely some leadership issues going on there with the owner. Gym is always filthy, saunas are always broken, and if they aren’t then they are infested with mold. Indoor hot tub usually doesn’t work. Several machines are usually broken or have ongoing issues. Staff doesn’t seem to want to lift a finger which probably stems from the owners incompetence. They used to have decent managers. Not sure what happened.
Thank you very much for your review and I apologize we have fell short meeting your expectations on certain issues. We currently have an ongoing issue with the men’s steam room which we’re asking for members help in resolving. Only one spin bike is currently out of service. Doc
Negative experience: Another thing, it is absolutely ridiculous to charge if you cancel a class.. idc what.or when it is. Ppl have lives
Negative experience: I’ve drove past this wellness center a couple times and I considered joining it but now that I’m reading the reviews…… never mind
Positive experience: I love how they have different things going on for the adults and kids. Love the gym and the family locker room. Kids love it as well. Only thing with me is that you all do not use the Cafe. There should be coffee, orange juice, muffins and a simple menu that changes depending on the time of day. Because that's included in the membership and we are paying for that... but its never used. Stop being cheap and hire someone there that can offer those services, since WE ARE PAYING FOR IT or take it out the membership.....and coffee at the front desk shouldn't be charged to members. You're already getting 150 plus out of people.
Thank you for your comments. We will discuss reintroducing a small selection of breakfast items. Doc.
Negative experience: For $91 and change a month.(If you pay up front for the year), this is what you'll get. Unfortunately prices have increased, as services and amenities fade. The sauna, jacuzzi, or whatever isn't functioning, is down for months at a time. (For maintenance, "waiting on parts" etc.). No more complimentary towel service. And these are literally what we pay the premium for. Cleanliness isn't key focus either, come on doc. We aren't asking for miracles man.
Thank you for your comments. We’re hoping to have the steam room open this week. Persistent leak requiring several contractors. I’m not aware of anything else currently not operational and will continue to monitor closely. If there are specific cleanliness concerns please email me directly. Doc.
Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience with this gym and with their assistant manager. I normally don’t leave reviews, but the lack of transparency and basic customer service here has been very disappointing. My husband and I joined on a month-to-month plan, paying a higher monthly rate specifically to avoid any long-term commitments or extra annual fees. Despite this, the gym charged us an undisclosed annual fee after just three months of membership. When I questioned this, the assistant manager emailed me a copy of the fine print stating that the annual fee date would “be determined at later date” — but this date was never disclosed or communicated to us at any point when we signed up. If the gym wants to charge extra annually, that cost should be built into the monthly rate, not buried in fine print and sprung on members who deliberately chose the more expensive month-to-month plan. We should not be expected to pay an “annual” fee when we never agreed to an annual membership. Additionally, when my husband asked the front desk how to cancel, they simply told him he needed to fill out an online form. No one mentioned a 30-day notice requirement. When I brought this up with the assistant manager, he again hid behind the fine print and refused to acknowledge that this policy was never communicated verbally. I explained that the lack of disclosure was the issue — he still refused to address it. When I asked for the issue to be escalated, he replied only that the situation was “being handled at the appropriate level” and that he would not be escalating it. I then politely asked again for the contact information of someone above him — and he simply never responded. Because of this, we are now being forced to pay for an additional month, despite submitting our cancellation six days before the next billing cycle — something any reasonable business would honor, especially when the member had already paid a premium for the month-to-month option. Separately, we initially joined because of the on-site daycare, but the weekday hours are extremely restrictive and not realistic for working parents. Our daughter also became sick after being there because they do not triage or turn away visibly sick children — there was essentially no illness screening. As for the gym itself: • The equipment is old, outdated, noisy, and very limited. • The men’s sauna barely even gets warm, making it essentially unusable. • The gym is consistently dirty, with poor upkeep and cleanliness compared to other facilities in the area. The only positive experience we had was with the front desk and sales staff — especially Christian, who helped sign us up and was genuinely kind and professional throughout. Unfortunately, their courtesy doesn’t make up for the management issues or the overall poor quality and transparency of the gym. All of this is especially unacceptable given how high their monthly membership fee is — the value simply isn’t there. Between the lack of transparency, poor facilities, and dismissive management, this gym is absolutely not worth the premium price. We deeply regret joining and hope others avoid the frustration we’ve experienced.
Thank you for your concerns and taking time to complete a review. First of all, I must apologize that we have not been able to
expectations. Although our sales staff is seasoned, I will do in servicing on transparency and disclosure regarding the annual service fee, which applies to all members.
Move enhanced our own cleaning efforts in the childcare center, and who believe it is very full at this time.
Our sauna has been operating correctly at the acceptable temperatures of approximately 175°F. We do have a leak in the men’s steam room which we are actively working to try to fix.
Again I apologize we fell short of meeting expectations and if there’s anything else we can assist with, please let me know. Doc
Positive experience: The facility is very nice. I don't think it's particularly well maintained for the membership price.
Thank you for comments. If you have specific areas needing attention please email me. My cards are at front desk. Doc.
Fantastic experience: I like the climbing wall.
Thank you doc
Fantastic experience: I recommend Valley Wellness Center. I like the pool and jacuzzi facility.
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: I JUST JOINED YESTERDAY . SPOKE WITH GAVIN WHAT AWESOME YOUNG MAN HE IS . THIS PLACE IS VERY NICE EVERYONE IS PLEASANT. .HAD MY FIRST SWIM AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ .GLAD I JOINED
Thank you. I will relay the review. Appreciate. Doc
Negative experience: I have been a loyal member at Valley Wellness Center for over five years, paying $85 a month. For the last three+ weeks, the sauna has been unreliable — sometimes it works, other times it shuts down after just a few minutes. Today, it went cold only three minutes into my session. What makes this worse is how my concern was handled. When I brought it up, the manager I spoke with was dismissive and told me he was “only in charge of sales.” He said it’s given to a contractor and they have to fix it. Also told me there is nothing more i can say beyond what he told me and walked away. That kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially toward a long-term customer. After five years of membership, I expect issues to be taken seriously and addressed promptly, not brushed off. The facilities themselves could be great, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service are very disappointing.
Apologies we have not met your expectations. Although we had some trouble with the sauna about two months ago, we do believe it is fixed. Unfortunately our steam room does have a leak in the men’s and we are actively working to fix that.
Negative experience: So much potential in this place but the upkeep leaves much to be desired. Keep in mind this place is not cheap, understandable given the sheer size of the building and offerings. However, I know I speak for a lot of people when I say the upkeep needs to be ongoing. A lot of equipment is VERY worn down, some are completely broken and often things are out of order. Some of the outdoor tables at the pool are completely tattered and frayed. At the very least, given this is a “wellness center” the housekeeping should be on point. It’s not the most assuring sight to see that much dust in the locker room. When things are broken, it usually takes months to get fixed. Overall, disappointing given the untapped potential of such a large gym facility.
Thank you for your review. We are a avoiding a cable on back order from the manufacturer and have taken a few pieces of Fitness equipment to be reupholstered. Will look at replacing some of the outdoor furniture next season. Doc
Negative experience: This guy Christian clearing does not care nor want people to sign up. Funny attitude for the head of sales. Never there. Impossible to reach. Doesn’t call back. I had to call several times.
Negative experience: Christian and the staff have a terrible lack of communication.
Negative experience: Filthy, terrible staff, everything is broken
Negative experience: These reviews said enough. Ill stay at my other gym, although tho is one is closer but it definitely doesn't seem worth anything much.
Positive experience: As far as gyms go. This is the experience I would hope for when it comes to building a gym community. Something for the whole family. It would be 5 stars if some of their maintenance was more on point. There are some items that really need some TLC.
Negative experience: I just joined this gym about a month ago and am severely disappointed. Based on the money I spent for the down payment ($300) , plus the 168/ mos for my daughter and me I was expecting a very clean, friendly, welcoming environment. By far, my biggest complaint is how dirty the locker rooms, pool and hot tub area is every time we have gone. Yesterday there were young kids in the indoor pool area eating chips/soda and dropping food in the pool. In all the times I have been there I have not seen one person cleaning the facility. At another gym I go to, a lady cleaned the locker room every hour during usage. This place is filthy. Also, the people at the desk don’t even say hi back when we greet them. Don’t waste your money here.
Positive experience: Nice gym, kind of clean. For $90 a month though there are barely any resistance bands, not much weights. And charges $12 a month on top of the $90 membership just to use towels to swim. Honestly the greediest gym I’ve ever been to and i’ve been to many gyms. You would think for $90 a month you could use towels, have a spotless gym to workout at and have a lot more little pieces of equipment such as bands.
Thank you for your comments. We do offer ala cart towel service to keep over priced more affordable and strive to prove a large value to our members. Doc
Negative experience: Husband and I joined approximately two years ago - paid annual dues for a small discount. Only used the weight room and no one was available to assist with usage of the machines. Few months after we joined, we both had health issues that kept us from using the gym. In order to freeze membership we would have had to pay more money. Our membership expired and months later, I noticed a charge on our credit card from the facility. Apparently we were being charged for towel service when no longer a member. My husband brought this to their attention. Charges stopped but we won't receive a reimbursement for the charges.
Fantastic experience: I recommend Valley Wellness Centre. I love the recovery pool, the jets are perfect to clean your tired legs or back pain. You can find an underwater treadmill as well, very professional
Thank you doc
Negative experience: This is annoying. Why can’t you just post your prices?
We have lots of different membership options plans so it’s best just to discuss what the best plan for you. Doc
Positive experience: Need to work on sanitizing the pool area and fixing things that break. There's too much in disrepair or built poorly from the start.
Positive experience: Ive visited hundreds of gyms throughout the US and I really want to give this place 5 stars cuz it has potential but honestly for the money you spend (at least $80/month for a membership) it falls short. Ive been coming here for a few months now and this is what Ive observed: They dont give you towels but looks like at one point they did. The women’s bathroom doesn’t look like they’re cleaned regularly. Theres always hair in the shower drainer. They make you pay for a small cup of some cheap coffee. For the all the space they have, they don’t have alot of weight training machines which is the biggest let down. Ive seen way more machines at Planet Fitness. They have a ton of cardio machines and most of them are not even used. And my last least favorite thing is the lack of friendliness of the first desk staff. They barely greet when you walk in. And I’ve experienced rudeness from the one front desk employee. Honestly if it wasnt for the steam room/sauna/hot tub/pools and the activities they do for kids, I wouldn’t come here.
I am sorry we fell short of some of your expectations. Thank you for taking time to memorialize your concerns. I would be happy to get everything addressed with you if you would like to email me. Thank you. Doc. My cards are at the front desk.
Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going for a couple of years now. We have no issues. It is clean, friendly people. I would and do recommend this gym! They offer lots of different classes, many different types of work out equipment, etc.
Thank you for your nice comments. Doc
Fantastic experience: Friendly and polite staff. I love the swimming pool and sauna
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: We went here for our friend's daughter birthday party. It was a pool party and it was lot of fun for all the kids. This place is neat and clean and the staff is very helpful and enthusiastic. They have gym n other facilities like indoor and outdoor pool, spa, basketball court etc. Definitely recommend this place.
Thank you. We hope you will consider joining our team/ members. Doc
Negative experience: fraudulent charges to my credit card for months and month communication with staff via email multiple times. even asked to remove the card there charges 7 months before that . kept charging . kept charging for months and months . still being charged in february
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend VWC. Ideal for young kids swimming lessons. Recommend it
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: The Valley Wellness Center has a wide variety of things to do such as classes, basketball, machines, weights, swimming, a salon and an outdoor pool.
Thank you. Doc
Positive experience: مكان جميل ونظافه عاليه استقبال اكثر من رائع الموظفه سلمي مركز يعتمد صراحه
Thank you
Negative experience: Nice pool, and decent facilities. Could be so so much better. Their cleaners do a very poor job on cleanliness and seem fixated on pressure washing the poolside shower area. However, the shower stalls are really mouldy and dirty and no attempt seems to made to deal with that. Shower stalls and drains are constantly covered human hair that never gets removed. The soap and shampoo units are more frequently empty than full. The Nazareth YMCA did a much better job on cleanliness. For the pricing, the lack of cleanliness is appalling. Providing feedback is not welcomed at reception. A suggestion for management is to make it easy to provide feedback via a system where members can provide it easily and see actions being taken to rectify the issues. Not sure if it is lack of training, extremely low standards or just indifference. It should be fixed. Some front desk personnel can be rude and not helpful. Customer service training needed or switch them out. Again, compare to the Nazareth YMCA, performance is very poor.
I apologize for your concerns. We do inspect the areas mentioned but welcome any and all feedback. There should be a suggestion box at the front desk as well. Doc
Positive experience: I really do like it there, but it’s entirely too expensive so we had to stop going
We believe in focusing more on the value rather than the price itself. Suggestions welcome.
Positive experience: Great options! Only 4 star bc it's pricey
Negative experience: Once again the steam room is down. The last time it was down for 6 months and management shows zero initiative to get it fixed. When I asked how long it would take the one older employee was extremely rude and the other just kept saying I don’t know. At least have a tentative timeline. The sauna is never hot always lukewarm. For what they charge here I would expect they do the little things right but I guess not. Very disappointed and annoyed at the staff for not caring about the facility.
I’m very sorry. The hot tub is kept at 102 and it’s checked 2/day. The steam room should be open soon. Doc
Fantastic experience: Super grateful for this gym and all it's employees! The kids club is such a great environment for kids of all ages! I am able to care for my health while having the support of the kids club members and all of the wonderful additions to this gym! ✨️
Thank you kindly. Suggestion box up front as well. Doc
Positive experience: Update to my first post: We've been going here for about 6 months now. I really have nothing to complain about. The staff is friendly, the gym is maintained regularly, and the outdoor pool just opened. They have a schedule of entertainment for the pool area island they have adult only events too.
Thank you. Welcome to the club. Doc
Fantastic experience: Amazing, work outs professional, and have many classes.
Thank you. Any class suggestions welcome. Doc
Fantastic experience: Good equipment nice pools but naked old men in bathrooms
Thank you for your feedback. Doc
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and clean facilities. Large pool indoor and outdoor pool which is great for either doing laps or just hanging out.
doc
Fantastic experience: I love this place. It’s well worth the price for all the amenities they offer. Staff is always friendly, and they have a ton of classes to join. They also have an indoor warm therapy pool and hot tub which is amazing when your back hurts. I highly recommend this gym to anyone. The only downside is their guest program, you can only bring the same guest once every 60 days or purchase a two day guest pass for 50$. Everyone that I’ve encountered in the gym is friendly both early morning and later at night.
Thank you we appreciate your comments. Now that the outdoor pool deck is closed our two day guest pass is back down to $30 FYI. Doc
Fantastic experience: I love Valley Wellness center. The outdoor pool is usually pretty full during weekends, I prefer indoor pool for swimming. Sauna and locker rooms are clean and well maintained
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Valley Wellness Center. Recently, I went there to swim, and there was a sign at the entrance indicating the pool was open. As I began swimming, a lifeguard named Mike ran over and started yelling at me to get out of the pool without any explanation. He was very rude and did not provide any courtesy to explain why. Apparently, the pool was closed, but no one informed me, even though the manager and another woman were standing by the pool. When I complained to the manager, she merely said she would speak to him, which clearly won’t resolve the issue. Such treatment of customers is unacceptable.
I apologize and will find out why this happened. I apologize if you were treated with disrespect by our staff. Doc
Negative experience: This gym is absolutely horrible. Not at all a safe place or a safe environment to workout in. One month into my membership and i’m getting yelled at/threatened by 60+ year old men that just sit and stare at everyone. A few weeks ago there was older guy in there screaming some younger girls trying to workout. I tried to leave and cancel my membership because I refuse to pay 130$ a month to consistently have my workout interrupted by old screaming men. It’s an extremely weird environment and I don’t feel comfortable having me or my kid go there.
Negative experience: The front desk attendant, Joe, made me extremely uncomfortable with his immediate attitude and animosity. He made it impossible for me to enter the gym which I am part of a membership with. After over a year of intermittently attending this gym, I will never return due to the inflexibility, disrespect, and misery I was met with at the front door.
If you could elaborate on the details of why you could not enter the club if you have an active membership. All you need to do is scan in with the barcode or use one of the key fob. Please see Manager if there’s an issue with your account. For any confusion. Doc.
Negative experience: Been a member for 3 years, they have been charging me twice every month on a credit card and bank account. When I call in, they tell me they don't know how it's happening.
Please email us or stop in to correct any billing inaccuracies. Thank you. Doc
Positive experience: We went to a birthday party held outside with a beautiful poll and cabanas, bar. Very nice!
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a gym that has it all... look no further! Not only do they have all the workout equipment you need, but they have a rock climbing wall, salon, indoor, and outdoor pools. The outdoor pool is beautiful with a big water slide and a tiki bar.
Thank you kindly. Doc
Negative experience: My husband and I have been members for about 2 years, paid in full yearly membership. Recently disappointed by the front desk person. He was very rude when I asked him to sign me in. The app on my phone was not connecting and this guy was giving me a major attitude. A few moment later I decided to go back and tell the manager. Saw Russell and Christian and told them what happened. Instead of apologizing, they ganged up and told me about the policy of not signing people in. Besides the point I tried to make and I was so humiliated. A few days later, my husband talked to Christian and told him that the attitude and the guy being rude was the issue. I know I can't cancel our membership due to contract but because of this we will not renew. Ever since, nobody even acknowledge me when I came in. With the amount of money we paid, customer service really sucks.
I’m very sorry and apologize for any rude behavior from the staff. Although we do require every member check themselves in upon entry I’m sorry for your experience. We do offer a small purple plastic key fob for members who are unwilling or unable to use the GymMaster app on their data phone. Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: “If you do not have a child you are not allowed in the family locker room” and that not being enforced was enough for to cancel my membership.
Negative experience: Filthy dirty locker room and steam room. Definitely not upscale by any means. Filthy people bathing in hot tubs in street clothes, Nobody showers prior to entering pools and hot tubs. Wear shorts and dirty underwear in pools and hot tubs. Locker room is Filthy. Not one machine or bit of equipment has been upgraded in at least 3 years. Absolutely no respect towards the customer. Hours are ridiculous, close at 7pm Saturday and Sunday. Pool is nonsense also closing at 7pm when it's light till at least 9. Trash !!!!
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: There is a reason this "gym" has so many bad reviews. I joined this gym mainly for the use of the indoor pool. I was assured when joining that there was a lot of open availability Not true In fact in the summer when they open the pool to non members, it becomes a circus in the locker rooms It took weeks to schedule my initial consultation with a fitness coach The "cafe" is a ridiculous selection of foods that are not aligned with your fitness goals The locker rooms are dirty. Yes, I did tell the front desk multiple times- but to be fair, there is a new person there every week- they don't care When I attempted to cancel my membership after a year. They made it ridiculously hard and drew out the process. The gym equipment was nice.
Thank you for your comments. I apologize for your concerns. You would like to continue your membership feel free to contact me to discuss specific operations we can improve on. Thanks. Doc
Fantastic experience: Best gym in the Valley
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: **Continuation from Devon Harris's post** 2 days later... We go back to the gym, now our trial has expired and we're in our 3 day grace period to use the money towards our enrollment fee. We spoke to the manager, again. At this point, we just wanted a refund. She apologized saying that there's nothing they could do but they could give us two 7 day trial passes for friends and family. Now, think about that. They wanted US to promote their gym after they scammed us. Before we left, we asked for the owner's email, which they refused to give. They tried to give us the INFO email, but they admitted it was a shared email between the managers and owner. So, if we emailed, how could we be sure the owner was actually emailing us and not the mangers? So instead, we asked for the owner's phone number. They gave us his office extension at the gym. We assured them that we would be calling him. Again, this was all done in a public space. We tried to call the owner 3 times and gave him a week to respond. He did not respond to us. This really proved to us that they did not care about their customers and only cared about obtaining money. Since the owner/managers would not help us, they left us no choice but to charge back through my credit card company.
Fantastic experience: Great facility
Negative experience: Just joined. Regretted it right away. This place is super dirty and seems to be run my clueless teenage staff. Gonna work on canceling my membership/contract. Heard from a number of people that the owner is a total creep. Got coerced into joining- should have gone with my gut instincts.
Feel free to email me directly. Any concerns regarding cleanliness and or operations. I will do my best to get everything addressed with the team [email protected]. Thank you. Doc
Positive experience: It is a beautiful and wonderful place to the right people. Upon entry, we are impressed with the building, the parking lot and the service desk and the very spacious lobby. Everything gives the aurora of a resort. the basketball court is NICE and clean. The bathrooms and family change rooms are nice. We did not try the machines. The drawback for us is the swimming pool. The room and water temperature is too not for training. For kids to play, there is no lifeguard on duty. Every piece of metal in the swimming area is rusty. The good part is that there are bicycles in the water for people to ride. Then i realized that it is called “Wellness Center”. Maybe it is meant for people to do therapy or recover or hang out. I hope the center could survive and prosper. I do not think it is for serious swimmers. but if you are close by, this center offers a lot of warmth and comfort and niceties like a Florida resort.
Thank you and appreciate your feedback. I too prefer cooler water temperatures but we try to maintain the pools at 82/92/102 degrees respectively. Doc
Fantastic experience: A beautiful gym that I will keep going to. Love the sauna and relaxing in there along with the steam room. I am shocked at the negative reviews. This is the best gym I’ve belonged to. Period. It’s clean, friendly, has everything you need and a luxurious pool setting with a bar in the summer.
Thank you. Email me with any suggestions you may have. Appreciate. Doc.
Fantastic experience: It is a very very nice health club.
Thank you for the very short and sweet comment. Appreciate. Doc.
Fantastic experience: I use everything on premesis - so while significantly more $$$ - the indoor pool is unrivaled in the valley. The steam room on top of the sauna is ++good. Basketball courts, weights, summer outdoor pool and on site cantina with adult beverages - i could easily spend hours there - even in the winter!
Thank you for your comments. The goal was to create more of a destination facility and resort environment with top-notch amenities. Doc
Fantastic experience: Great place.. very clean .. wonderful staff .. Great family environment.. Highly recommended
Thank you very much. Doc
Fantastic experience: Price is very decent compare to their facilities and what they have to offer.
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: Place is amazing, has everything you could imagine, kinda expensive though is the only downside
Thank you. Doc
Positive experience: Amazing staff- Donna, Jennifer, Rob: such great instructors ; never want to miss Donn’s classes
Fantastic experience: Relaxing and peaceful. They have a beautiful pool along with bar and food. Place to be in the summer. ❤️
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: Very clean, very comprehensive fitness center. Nice staff, plenty of close parking.
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: Enjoyed it there when I could. Seems like they are more into making money then helping improve at 100.00 a month in a world of inflation. Clearly they are picky on their clientele .
Negative experience: I’ve called a total of 4 times in the last month for information. I left several messages with staff and on the machine. I was told I would get a call back to make an appointment to talk with someone and STILL have not had a call back. Just based off that it’s Bad business. I won’t be going here and I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I’m the owner and I am looking into this. Thank you for letting us know. Dr M.I’ve looked into it but we cannot find your contact information. Would you kindly email me your [email protected] I will be sure to have somebody reach out to you immediately thank you. Dr m.
Positive experience: For the costs of over a $1,000/year, I expect and demand a clean and functioning facility, including the men's steam room. The place used to do better job keeping clean.
Negative experience: shortened thier hours, charge for tiny tea towels, never clean the hot tubs and steam rooms, constant mystery charges on your credit card.
We changed our hours and discontinued complimentary towel service 2.5 years in order to keep our costs and membership prices as affordable as possible. We do thoroughly clean the sauna, steam rooms, and spa along with all other parts of the facility but if there are specific concerns please email as soon as possible. Doc
Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. To anyone who complains about this place- take the silver spoon out of your rear end. This place is phenomenal. Great equipment, amenities galore, and a friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: The best massage ever with Valerie at the Green Room. She really is an amazing massage therapist! Highly recommend her!
Thank you. I’ll will pass on. Doc
Positive experience: Very fine facilities, lots of classes and activities both indoor and outdoor. Never overcrowded. Ladies locker room needs better handicap accommodations.
Thank you. Doc
Fantastic experience: Love this place! Best gym in LV. The amenities are great , love the steam room much better post workout then using a sauna, and the indoor pool is great , and in the summer it is very enjoyable to spend time in the outdoor pool area.
Thank you. Doc.
Positive experience: I love taking the classes with Donna Youwakim as instructor. She is excellent! Gets us seniors moving and staying healthy. Please keep her as a smash and Aqua aerobic instructor, no one else comes close!
Thank you for feedback. Doc
Negative experience: I thought this was a great gym, but after falling on hard times, losing my job, and being a single mother I was unable to make a payment in the month of July. I asked if there was any way to cancel or pause my membership, I didn’t fit the criteria to pause it due to the contract. They informed me that if I didn’t get back to them within 7 days they would sue me. I responded to the email 2 days later offering to pay July and August the following month. I told them that I wanted to keep my membership due to me signing a contract for a year. I was ignored over and over I called multiple times and was told by employees that someone would reach out to me and no one every did after multiple attempts I gave up. Today I was served now I’m being sued. All I needed was a chance for them to WORK with me and you’d think after paying $130 a month they would accommodate in some way. But this was 10000% WRONG This has to be the worst gym I’ve ever come across. Keep in my if sign up with them READ THE FINE PRINT they will DELIBERATELY leave information out.
Negative experience: This place has gone downhill! They have not had hot water for taking a shower for over a month. Also the hot tub has not been working for over a month. Also no cafe as advertised. They just don’t want to spend the money needed for repairs.Definitely not worth the money. I’m paying a fortune for a “luxury spa “ which this place is definitely not.!!
Thank you for your concerns. Global supply chain. Disruptions have made it very difficult to obtain parts for many things including hot tub, heaters, and domestic water heaters. These parts and replacement units have all been ordered and we follow up on a daily basis to try to get these issues resolved. Our café will be opening seasonally from memorial day till Labor Day.ty. Doc.
Negative experience: JOIN THIS GYM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I urge you to read all the negative reviews. If you look at one individually it may seem random, but looked at collectively - it paints a clear picture. I gave them a chance and now I regret not trusting what honest consumers have wrote. DONOT JOIN THIS GYM. (FYI - full of mold in the steam room, when I brought it to their attention, they told me I’m out of my mind - until I showed them images. They told me I shouldn’t be taking images and could be sued. Very aggressive and nasty employees and owner.
We do believe we have a very clean facility however, we apologize we were unable to meet your expectations.
Fantastic experience: Place is ridiculously incredible. Highest monthly fee in the Valley but so worth it, even during peak times it has a chill atmosphere and the outdoor pool and climbing gym are incredible
Thank you. We try to offer a great value and be a unique facility. Doc
Negative experience: More of a country club than a gym. Nice amenities but 3× more expensive than LA Fitness. Not cohesive enough to justify $1800-2400 per year vs. $490 at LA Fitness. This place is more for those who are into status than fitness.
Thank you for your review. We believe we offer a large value for the fees we charge and do strive to have country club atmosphere.
Negative experience: Super bummer. A couple of years ago I got a weekly pass here when visiting the valley and it was a reasonable rate. This place is beautiful. Fantastic amenities and equipment. The rate now is $50 for two days. I’m assuming that’s to discourage day usage. That’s half the monthly rate I pay for my club back home.
Negative experience: Read the fine print when signing the contract. I signed the cancellation form 3 months ago and was told at the front desk everything was good and it would be processed later that day. I moved out of state. I was charged an additional 2 months until I was able to hand in my proof of residency then charged an ADDITIONAL month after handing in the proof of residency even though there was far more then 30 days notice, which the front desk also lost for a couple days on top of all this. Zero customer service or understanding here.
Negative experience: I’ve attended multiple high end gyms, and this one is just ok. Clean facility and friendly staff but for the monthly price… missing a lot of essentials. Outdated locker rooms, showers are rusty, steam room usually smells like mold, no complimentary feminine products or paper towels, no towel service and there’s very little fitness classes available and few time slots. And then the classes always fill up so your unable to attend unless you commit 24 hours in advance. Also something is broken every other month. Last month the steam room, now the hot tub is out of order. It’s a good gym, just over priced for what it’s actually offering in my opinion. The pool looks cool though.
Thank you for your comments. We do believe our facility offers exceptional value for our current price structure. We are always looking for suggestions and ways to improve and will discuss your comments. With current supply chain disruptions it is very difficult to repair items such as saunas, spas, and steam rooms quickly but we certainly try. Doc
Positive experience: The gym is clean, and has lots of options for classes, different rooms, and multiple pools. The real winner of this place however is the Kids Center. The individuals who work in here are fantastic. They interact with the kids (coloring, playing cards, etc) and have gone above and beyond (like helping my child with her homework). Furthermore, they offer 4 different Jr classes during the week. Having a place my children look forward to going elements a barrier for me going to work out.
Thank you I will relay to our kids club staff. Doc.
Negative experience: Terrible "High end" fitness center. Nothing is EVER cleaned. In 3 years of membership I've NEVER seen a worker wipe down machines, clean steam room, sauna, or hot tub. Steam room smells like mold, sauna is stained with sweat and black grime. No hot water for 1 month. Steam room was just proven for a month. Hot tub is broken. How can staffing and duplicate be a issue still but planet fitness, LA fitness and other surrounding gyms have a multiple cleaning staff all day long cleaning and sanitizing, all seem to keep maintenance issues up and source parts needed. For 12 times the month tuition as planet fitness I'd expect much more. Gym even charges outrageous amounts for any gym events like kid movie nights, egg hunts and more.
We believe we placed a lot of effort into prodding ourselves on being the cleanest facility in the region however, there’s always room to improve, and we welcome your suggestions and remarks. Thank you, Doc.
Fantastic experience: The best fitness complex! I would add some handyman to the gym, because there are lots of miscellaneous issues at the gym and shower area
Fantastic experience: Great club, awesome amenities, and the trainers are the best! Two pools, inside and outside, sauna, hot tub, clean locker rooms.
Thank you very much. Doc
Fantastic experience: I just joined the gym here and I love it the people are really nice and everything is really clean
Thank you very much. Doc
Fantastic experience: Good service.
Thank you. Doc
Positive experience: Good place…
Thank you
Fantastic experience: Good food !!!
Negative experience: Literally won’t let me cancel my membership. Argued with a lady over email and ended up having to go and cancel my membership in person over a month ago. They charged me for 2 whole months that I wasn’t even in the area and I still got charged again for next month. Don’t sign up for any sort of membership here.
Thank you for your concerns. We apologize for the software glitch and a refund has been processed and you have been emailed. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Dr. M
Negative experience: Came to the gym on Friday at 6:00 pm and it’s closed for some private party. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against parties, but please, respect your customers, especially when they pay you $85 a month for a membership.
We posted signage for a week in club and sent out an email. I’m sorry for any inconvenience.
Positive experience: Great place! Lots of amenities. Very clean. My daughter and family are members and I wish it wasn't so expensive for me to join them once in awhile to watch my grandson play and have fun.
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: The facility is beautiful; however, that cannot solve the issue of having a terrible General Manager. Annalise has absolutely no customer service skills and comes across as more standoffish than friendly. Until you fix your issue with management, you'll have a lot of trouble finding staff that would want to work for that. It's a shame.
Positive experience: This place is super clean cool and awesome. Pools inside and outside. Excellent gym and the people there don't bother you at all. The workers are very friendly and helpful if needed.
Thank you. Doc
Negative experience: This is the worst gym! They have horrible management and will lie to you until they are blue in the face to get you to sign up! They have changed the daycare hours and close it even when it should be open. Due to the changes I wanted to reduce a child on the membership and they are charging me a fee. Then when I called the so called manager Emily had horrible customer service skills and basically told me it doesnt matter if two staff members lied she isnt goingn to help me or give me the owners email or contact info.
Please email me any concerns directly at [email protected]. As with many other businesses we are facing global workforce shortages and have had to close or reduced kids club hours on certain occasions. We will continue to try to recruit talented people to join our team. Dr M.
Negative experience: Recently I received an email from this establishment complaining of staffing shortages that would be affecting hours and services offered. I’m writing this review in response to that as well as poor general business practices at this place of business. There were evident staffing problems at this business prior to the inception of the pandemic. Just look at the other business reviews on this Google page over a period of several years. This business has welcomed, created, and spurred on controversy since its establishment due to poor business practices and frankly, poor character of ownership. It makes me feel exhausted to even say something so obvious, but you would not have a labor shortage if you treated your employees well and paid them fairly. Your employees run your business, and although I'm sure the owner has tricked himself into thinking he might be the brains behind this operation, employees do in fact work very hard at this business, and deserve more than a measly <$9/hr. This business and its owners are selfish and greedy, locking members into ridiculously anti-consumer, expensive contracts, and then trickling down a measly, meager sum to those who are unfortunate enough to have to work for them, because I'm certain that were these employees offered the choice, they would work absolutely anywhere else. And that is what you are seeing in practice with these "staffing shortages;" frankly you should call it a business sense shortage; The staffers should know better. It is an obviously poor business decision that you would rather send an email to your members and threaten to reduce operating hours and services offered and hurt your existing business than actually pay employees more to provide good services to current and potential customers. Your customer service model is a joke, and you can have it that way for a time because members are locked into contracts with you that you have, by design, made extremely difficult if not impossible to extricate oneself from. I recommend feeling embarrassed that you need to beg members for workforce recommendations because your strategies for hiring and retaining workers aren't working. I recommend you learn from your mistakes instead of begging for help, trying nothing although there are obvious solutions, and embarrassing yourself. In conclusion, I would love to have you know that I pay planet fitness $10/mo and they're fully staffed. They pay more than you do, and retain a more willing-to-be dedicated, knowledgeable, and consumer-friendly workforce than your current salary structure allows your employees to strive for. To reiterate, I do not blame your employees, both present and past, one bit for quitting, or maintaining no motivation to work hard for your backwards, selfish business model. If your business isn't doing well, it's your fault and your responsibility as failed business owners. That is the free market at work, and you can't blame a pandemic for that when we're almost 2 years deep in it. Not to mention you skirted pandemic restrictions putting everyone at risk because you are a "wellness center" and not a gym... you obviously do not care about the wellness of your own consumers as well as your unfalteringly loyal employees.
If you have more specific operational or facility concerns other than employee compensation kindly email us at [email protected]. Thank you.
Positive experience: Just joined during the $4 promotional joiners fee. Took a tour couple weeks ago and liked it. For a family of 5 it isn't very cheap, but they do have a lot of included. Classes, childcare, indoor + outdoor pool and other amenities. Plus at an additional cost chiropractor, pain management, and spa. Looking forward to actually going.
We think you’ll be pleased. Thank you for joining. Doc
Fantastic experience: My favorite place to work out and chill on the outside swimming pool.
Thank you. Doc
