Negative experience: Zero flexibility in pricing structures for things like single parents. The prices at the club have increased 70% over the last 5 years. A family membership allows potentially 8 people to use the club and its amenities. However, it’s more expensive for 1 x adult and 2 x kids to get a membership (the kids only use the pool). Just another business that has become decidedly profit driven, as opposed to being a location that is there to benefit people in the local community. If you will spend additional money in the boutique, or bar, they will accommodate you. If you are a single parent, they don’t want your business unless you pay through the nose

Negative experience: It could be so much better - I signed up in winter, mainly for lap swimming. The lockers and showers are clean, the staff is friendly, the pool is awesome, 5 stars. Then comes summer.. On the weekends, they restrict the lap pool from 5-6 lanes to 3 lanes, having the rest of it as an open space for children and parents even though there’s a dedicated other smaller non-lap swimming pool. Even with only 3 lanes open, children will jump into your lane or run into you when swimming. Also the pool gets so dirty that the water is so murky you cannot even see the lane left or right of yours. I also breathed in a clump of hair or other dirt swimming on the surface multiple times. All of this would be resolved if they actually restrict the lap pool to lap swimming only, like they advertise it.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy the gym. Pricy, but a lot available, modern, and a good variety. Fingers crossed for no more price hikes. Kristen was awesome leading BodyPump and BodyCombat. I hope they add her to the schedule so we have more options!

Positive experience: Nice gym. Way too crowded and overpriced for what is offered in my opinion. Family plan multiple member rate is manageable. Single member it is easily 40% more than it should be. They over sold membership’s by a long shot, there is nothing exclusive about this place but the price.

Fantastic experience: We are family members. We love to come and exercise every day. We have been members of this gym for over 3 years. There are so many great facilities and I love swimming here in every season. We also attend yoga class every week. The staff is also very kind. The whole place is very clean. We enjoy coming here and working out.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members of this gym for about a year now. There are so many great amenities, and we love the weekly group classes. We join the yoga class every week and recently started going to HIIT classes. The staff are also super nice!

Negative experience: Very dissatisfied whit the overall service. The price is high, but we decided to give it a try because of the “day care”, that supposed to make it worth it. The thing is that after 5 days, we wanted to cancel the membership (almost $400), because my daughter didn’t like the kids club. She cried every single time, for hours, I even had to go pick her up a couple of times. So if we couldn’t take her there, it didn’t make sense for us to pay that amount of money to just work out a couple of times a week. They said “ok” but you need a month ahead to cancel your membership, so we “lost” that money. We barely went during the month because my daughter was really having a bad time there. The thing is that they “extended” the month considering the date when we canceled and they ended up charging us another $100 for the extra week. I feel like this is not very honest from the company and it doesn’t make any sense. Also, they don’t have a really large equipment selection. Bikes were always busy. They took forever to schedule me with a personal trainer for my consultation, and my husband never got to see his. BUT I have to say that Austin, the PT, was awesome. I wish I could work with him outside of this Gym The other thing that I really liked was Natalie from Hip hop. Other than that I feel like this is an overrated gym, expensive and with a very poor costumer service.

Negative experience: Terribly over priced and over rated. No talking aloud. Not worth hundreds a month. Got a call after the response below. Despite asking more than $300 a month they told me the no talking rule is to protect their personal training business bad enough they charge what they do, then have a problem with how you spend your own time after paying $300+ a month!

Negative experience: Looks nice but outrageously priced. Did not get a membership.

Fantastic experience: We only stayed one night, but the amenities were very nice, the facility was clean, and it was nestled in a very quiet area. Apparently the health club at this hotel is a big draw, as the front desk mentioned it a few times as I was checking in. The picture I took was from the parking garage but it gives a sense of how peaceful and quiet the hotel and surrounding area is.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to take a few moments and tell you why this place is so great as an upscale fitness facility. As a member, you are family first. You are NOT a number. Each member is treated with the utmost respect. Management takes this very seriously and it shows. The entire team here is dedicated to providing an amazing guest experience. There is huge value in all of this to me. There is a new level of excitement occurring here. There is new fitness leadership in place that share a common and very exciting vision for the future to serve all levels of membership. These changes are being implemented as I type. Everyone seems to be super excited about this. There are top-notch fitness instructors here and they are adding more. One really nice aspect of this club is the freedom that the instructors have to be creative in their class format outside of any formatted products. This makes working out with great people fun and less stagnant. I also find the classes here to be way more challenging than any other facility in the area. Of course, there is the flexibility to work at our own levels. Zero judgement. All are welcome. Cleanliness. This place is the gold standard for excellence. It is really amazing how hard the team works here to keep this place clean. It is of utmost importance to management and staff to serve its members. Seriously, it is time to take a good hard look at Club Sport Aliso Viejo and become part of this exciting journey. Negative experience: I loved this place before the pandemic but it seems they've made very aggressive changes since. They automatically include a $50 extra fee on the room so it's not included with the rates but I was okay with that because they also provided gym and campus access or I thought. I tried to enjoy my lunch outdoors next to the pool and was told that I had to go into my room because it wasn't food served by the restaurant. The valet is gone as is overflow parking for large vehicles for people traveling, and all of the water filtration systems that they had before are all removed too. I could have sat in my room with no amenities or extra features at any hotel but I chose this one for the features that I thought that I would be getting. I'm very disappointed especially in not being able to enjoy my meal next to the pool and being harassed by the staff and force to leave even though I'm renting a hotel room. What a sad fall from grace.

Fantastic experience: Great for a family. I use the gym, my wife uses the yoga and other classes, and the kids love the kids club and water park area (small water slides and pool). The kids club is also great and gives us time to go to the gym/a class while they're taken care of - and you can check on them with a video monitoring system on both floors of the gym. If you take advantage of all of that, it's definitely worth it. The facility is also more well maintained than typical gyms.

Fantastic experience: This family owned facility has all that any one or family would need for health, fitness, and wellness. The most perfect gym tucked away neatly behind Aliso Viejo, making it a convenient health club for serious as well as casuals

Negative experience: Wow,. I went there to learn about the club and membership. However, the sales person was not into attracting me into the club rather telling how very very exclusive this club is and made only for MEMBERS. I offered to pay while I decide if I want to become a member, But he refused to give me an opportunity to see and feel the club.

Positive experience: Love this place but the gym setup is a little awkward. Fishbowl type of setup where everyone is able to continue to stare at you from distances.

Negative experience: Deceptive. Not actually month to month. I was not allowed to start a membership since I would be having a major surgery the month after and would need to pause my membership for 6 weeks which they say is acceptable. I even emailed corporate just hoping for a “sorry for your experience” and they couldn’t even email me back. That email was sent a few weeks ago now. Here is the email I sent them that explains my entire experience if you’re interested. Not sure there is a solution here I would just hope you all do better moving forward. Last week I came across Club Sport online after my LA fitness membership ended. I was excited and very impressed with the facility. I live in Laguna Beach and work in Irvine so I thought it was going to be my new fitness home. I spoke back and forth for a couple days with an employee. He was great. Then Sunday (6/5) I came in to start my membership and get a work out in. Upon my arrival there was a different employee at the front desk to help sign me up. I informed him I was having a major surgery in July so that I would need to pause my membership next month until my doctor cleared me. Being that there is no commitment and payments are month to month I saw no issue here. He then informed me he could not start my membership since he knew I would have to pause it. I told him that was unacceptable and made no sense being your company claims there is no commitment other than month to month. He apologized and said he would call his boss even though it was her day off. 15 minutes later he came back to the front and apologized and said his boss could not OK my membership. She offered me the option to pay $40 to work out for the day (as if it was a favor to me) and that Monday she would contact her boss to see if it was ok. I do not see how you can ethically say there is no commitment other than month to month then not allow someone to pause there membership. This is extremely deceptive. As sketchy as I believe these practices are I am more upset and saddened by the fact that I was denied a membership. I am having a fundoplication surgery next month. Go ahead and google it. It’s gnarly. I was excited to get into a nice gym and work out for a month so I could go into my surgery in as best shape as possible since I will not be allowed to consume anything but liquids for 2 weeks following the surgery and will not be able to lift weights for at least a month. I bummed and disappointed. That sucked. Please do better.

Fantastic experience: This location is always clean, family friendly, and hosts great events.

Fantastic experience: GREAT bang for your buck. The club has all of the workout essentials and there's always a machine available. The whole place is clean and well ventilated. Good variety of indoor court sports - racquetball, pickleball, basketball, etc. Workout classes are not my thing, but I'm told Piyo(Pilates+Yoga) is very popular and surprisingly challenging. The spin class is held in a HUGE room with a lot of bikes and it looks very popular too - spin and HIIT classes feature heart rate zone monitor displays(like Orangetheory). 3 pools of varying depth/temperature, 2 outdoor coed spas, 2 indoor spas(one male, one female), and a children's outdoor water playset w/ 3 waterslides. If you use Evolution Swim Academy, they will optionally teach your child to swim at the club pool rather than one of the Evolution facilities. The food at the Cafe and restaurant(Citrus Grill) is top tier and pricing is very affordable - lower than other area restaurants. Kids eat free on Thursdays right now, check their website for daily specials/deals.

Fantastic experience: This gym is my home away from home! Great staff and facility. Have made great friends over the last 10 years of being a member! I highly recommend anyone considering to give it a go!

Fantastic experience: This was the very first gym I’ve gone to and enjoyed it a lot. Everything about this gym was welcoming, the head staff (Louise Williamson) was so kind and showed me and my mom around. It had everything you wish for in the gym, with friendly faces all around. If you don’t feel like lifting, there’s always the basketball court, swimming pool, and spa. You felt nothing but comfortable there while also improving yourself physically. Only downside was the price but honestly, for what’s it’s worth, it’s definitely worth it. Great place

Positive experience: It is so nice to be able to work out. It can be a little chilly outside but at least I am there. I have learned to dress in layers. It is clean and well maintained. It will be nice to go back to saunas and jacuzzis when COVID is over

Positive experience: Removed 2 stars. The gym has free weights, crossfit, ab station, classes,pool, jacuzzi, sauna (dry, steam), spa, coffee/smoothie bar, and restaurant. It has everything you need to indulge, and it is very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, their hours are very limited and strictly enforced. Negative: If you are done working out at 10pm, showers also close at 10pm. Kids roam and use equipment without proper supervision.

Whether it was working out laying out by the pool or special exercises in the pool, this place is number one for child care. Since my children have grown up there. The whole 12 years and Two of them are in college. The club site and the pool Are ranked number one with my family?

Equipment is we’ll maintained and staff have been friendly. The Citrus grill has had a lot of staff turnover but the food is pretty consistent.

Fantastic experience: Full weight machine selection, large basketball gym, many group exercise classes and studies, friendly staff, very clean, great social lounge and food court, bar, televisions, swimming pool and tanning area outside, waterspas, and did I mention clean? Oh, and pretty easy parking in the parking structure. Only things missing were tennis courts and a golf course, but at the right price, this is several steps up from other local fitness places.

Positive experience: I love this gym because it's rarely crowded, the equipment is kept in good condition, and they have some decent class offerings. I wish they offered boxing/kickboxing fitness classes more often though, and the steam room in the men's locker room seems to break quite often and could use an update.

Positive experience: considering that this looks to be a newer hotel, the room we stayed in on lev 5 had no usb ports for phone charging, so make sure you bring adaptors. they forgot to factor in customer convenience, but they do have a counter in the lobby for phone charging.

Negative experience: Called and asked if they “sell” day passes and the person on the phone said yes. When I showed up to “buy” a day pass they said they do not sell any and you have to be a member or fill out a form online to get a free day pass for tomorrow. I was visiting the town only for few days and wanted to purchase a day pass and their sales team totally acted amateur.

Positive experience: Very clean gym with many amenities that you would expect in a nicer gym (think 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport). They offer a wide variety of group classes which have quite small class sizes. They also give discounts to the attached bar and hotel rates. The only cons are the price and the lack of many other locations.
