Fantastic experience: Nice facility

Fantastic experience: As a 46 year old, recently diagnosed with lumbar arthritis, I knew I had to get my health care back in order. Fast Forward Med Rx program! $150 for 10 sessions with a trainer!! Fabian is kind, but fair! Exercise isn’t my favorite activity, but with his guidance I am feeling capable again! I will likely join after I finish and keep going! Thank you Logan and Fabian! I’m sure there are others, but very pleased!

Fantastic experience: Excellent amenities, staff, and open atmosphere of the building which allows for superb airflow. I've been a member for 2 years now and can attest to the splendid staff and experience at this gym. Rarely even when busy do I have to wait for a machine or bench to use for my workout. Their pool and sauna is also top notch.

Fantastic experience: Just joined the gym last week. Clean, lots of equipment…especially cardio. Nice perks like a sauna, pool, walking track. Very happy here!

Fantastic experience: Fabian was wonderful. My Mom brought me in for a guest visit about a month ago because I'd been visiting other gyms and was feeling frustrated with my lack of knowledge about gym equipment. Fabian spent time with me to assess my current strength ability, and taught me how to adjust equipment to to physical make up. I feel more confident working out on my own because of his help!

Negative experience: Need to contact sales staff to get membership rates and they will blow up your phone after the call too.

Negative experience: If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. I do NOT recommend this gym at all if you want to be treated like a decent human being. Two workers are atrociously rude and talk about members behind their back, the higher ups do not care when you complain. They will sweep it under the rug, essentially making it known to the workers that it is tolerated to be unpleasant and I’ll-mannered towards the guests. Katie and Mary specifically will give you dirty looks, talk about you behind your back, and make snarky remarks to your face. Disgusting behavior that management clearly does not care about.

Fantastic experience: It's very clean, quiet and peaceful, even during peak hours. The track floor is my favorite. The locker rooms are so nice. Everyone is super welcoming, very kind, and friendly. I highly recommend it !

Fantastic experience: I have been recommending this facility to people I meet because I LOVE everything about it. The bright and clean atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff and equipments and classes are easily. The clients are friendly and courteous. I have checked out Lifetime Northbrook Fitness Center and it was not for me. I drive about 25 minutes from Winnetka. The place just motivates me to work out.

Fantastic experience: Have had classes with Kris. She is outstanding. All support staff from the front desk, locker room and cafe are friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Gym is just “ok”. Expensive for what you actually get for services. Locker rooms are outdated. Showers smell like sewage. They closed the daycare down due to Covid and never re-opened whereas other gym daycares have re-opened. Seems like they are just trying to save money and at the same time always raising rates.

Fantastic experience: This is a place where one feels energized, encouraged and motivated by the wonderful staff that ensure you have a great workout!

Fantastic experience: Well... considering I live in Arlington Heights and am willing to drive all the way to Lake Forest to go here should tell you something....between the PT people here...and the doctors at the hospital....they are worth the trip for their professionalism and the way they interact with you.

Negative experience: Amazing staff, nasty clients, a gym for the “pretend wealthy”.

Positive experience: Hard to find the correct building I needed but once there it was ok.

Negative experience: Only thing that makes this “gym” different from a 24hr fitness or an LA Fitness is that it has a “spa service” LOL! Not worth the money. Also there is some entitled members in there who think they run the joint. Old equipment that doesn’t really work. You’re better off supporting a small gym with better equipment and staff.

Positive experience: I love the place, but. After Northwestern bought the Lake Forest Hospital, many things changed, and not for the best. One is - they started brining their elderly patients to the gym for a “Wellness “ program. Don’t they understand, that being surrounded by handicapped people in the locker room, or on the main floor is, well... quite depressing ? That feeling, that you are not at a gym but at a rehab center, is not what people look for ? The size of the hospital is enormous, can’t it dedicate a separate area for that purpose? Another upsetting thing to me, is that the Northwestern admin managed to gut out, and pretty much bastardize a very popular weight loss competition, that had been in place for many years. Why change something that had been so successful?? I don’t know what else will transpire, but I am not optimistic when it comes to huge corporations. I wish cowards on LFH board never sold us out to a greedy corporate org.

Negative experience: Nice facility with great pool. Pool is 25 meters not 25 yards (as previous person mentioned). Aaron is an outstanding trainer!!

Positive experience: Nice pace always clean but slightly older facilities. The pool is only 25 yards long. The staff is very friendly and the are lots of group exercise options. You can even bring your kids and have them watch them for you.

Fantastic experience: This is the nicest facility around and I love the staff, the group classes and amenities! I saw there are some negative reviews and thought I should post this... Other than a comedy of errors or bad luck, I cannot imagine what the negative reviewers are talking about. There are some members who do not follow all the rules, perhaps this is why they were complaining? The staff is supportive of members and keeping the facility clean, of course if someone was reminded of rules, such as "no cell phones" in the workout areas or locker rooms, or to shower before entering the spa or the pools, they may have felt offended. But this is what ruins the club, people who think they are above the rules. The only constructive criticism I have is that the maintenance staff is streamlined and therefore they have to work very hard to keep the facility clean, especially in the locker rooms. If there were a few additional custodians and members were more conscientious and cleaned up after themselves, this would help.

Positive experience: I only write this because I simply don't understand the negative comments posted. This is a very nice gym with more than adequate equipment. I have belonged to the gym for 4 years and have never -- NEVER -- had a problem using equipment I wanted. The gym is clean, well maintained and has a good (albeit older) vibe. As for the staff, they are friendly and competent, and that's all I am looking for in staff. It must be that Roger and the other haters are looking for friends in the gym staff. Ignore the haters and give it a try.
