Fantastic experience: This is one of the best health clubs I’ve ever been to. They give you free five day membership to try it out. They have cleaner locker rooms that any place I’ve ever been to. They totally put to shame the lifetime fitness brand. Their service manager is also very friendly and they have the best ratesof anyone else in the area.

Positive experience: Sauna is not hot enough. Have talked to the manager multiple times, but no action. Many members share this exact sentiment. Tons of heat is clearly being lost below the door, but nothing is done about it. Apparently maintenance seems to think this gap is required for "proper air flow" ... if they actually knew this much about "proper air flow" then you'd think they would know how to actually make a sauna hot. (that is the purpose of sauna ... right?) The reality is they probably don't know much, and don't care because they don't actually use the sauna. Everyone who uses the sauna wants it hotter, while those who don't use the sauna ... don't want to make it hotter. I wonder why? Why have a sauna if you're not gonna make it hot? This is the reason I ultimately cancelled my membership. Other than this, everything is great. Gym is nice and clean. Staff are friendly. Locker rooms are decent. If sauna was useable, I'd def still be a member.

Negative experience: Not actually a community space. No kids ever. "Well. Technically we have two 'flick and float' events per year!" This is definitely a gym for the assisted living facility next door. It's the kind of place with old men drying their balls by propping up their legs across the whole hall.

Positive experience: Yeah it just got renovated and it is beautiful. Did extensive work on the hot tub. Built an outside patio. Received new equipment. Kind of crowded in the evenings but you got to expect that. Staff and patrons very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I’m not usually a workout class kind of guy but I took one class and was hooked. The trainers are so supportive and give you just the right amount of push without screaming at you like other places.

Positive experience: Great facility, concerned about their inability to address members cleaning before and after use of a machine as per their own rules. Some members either don't wear the mask or use it as a chin guard. Procedure is to tell the staff so they may remind members of the rules and the law. Some staff members listen but don't do anything (e.g., Sara).

Fantastic experience: Super friendly staff. Clean lockers/showers. Nice mix of cardio and weight machines. Just 1 smith machine. Works well for the price.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Signed up right when I moved to Vernon Hills because my job is in the same complex. Always clean, great equipment, and fun class options. Staff is very friendly and understanding. They’ve always gone above and beyond to help whenever I needed it!

Positive experience: A nice, friendly place to go for a work-out. They have a free weight area, a work-out area with all the cardio machines and weight training machines, an indoor pool with a kids' area, and a hot tub. They are usually well maintained and clean. I love their 60 Day Challenge, which gives you 60 visits for $60 from Sept. 1 through Dec. 31. The only thing negative I can say is that it's not a big place, and the floor in the men's locker room gets very wet in the evening due to all the swimmers walking around wet.

Fantastic experience: This is a 6x per week stop for me. It s always clean. They have pool, sauna, whrillpool, daycare, gym with lots of equipment, trainers, classes, and a wonderful staff.

Fantastic experience: Personally love it. Nobody will mistake this for a huge gym, but for a local city gym it has absolutely everything I need. Machines are well maintained and clean, not overcrowded. Definitely good bang for your buck

Fantastic experience: By far the best place for children to learn life skills and physical fitness. Respect, discipline and problem solving are just some of the lessons taught in a safe and inclusive environment.

Fantastic experience: Great value for the money, but, most of all, wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff who listen and act on members' suggestions and feedback. Trainers and staff are always there for you to offer help and advice, and maintenance staff are always on guard for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.

Fantastic experience: It's a great gym. Friendly staff, great hours, and a nice location with lots of good amenities; pool, sauna, lots of classes, and much more. I only would improve two things earlier weekend hours and an indoor track. Otherwise it's perfect.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out. Not a "meat market" so you don't feel judged when not having the perfect beach body. Staff are helpful, especially the training staff. The trainers work with their clients to adjust exercises based on ability and physical limitations. A great variety of classes offered to meet the needs of a wide variety of interests. Reasonably priced compared to other local centers. Participates in the MyZone fitness tracking so you can track your workout results on the big-screen in the main machine area as well as the fitness studio room.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the finest institutions in which I've had the pleasure of membership in my lifetime. The facility includes a great variety of workout spaces and equipment, classes, pools, spa's, teachers, coaches, and lounges. All are clean. My family has enjoyed being members for 15 years since before the park district took over. The park district improved the layout and the programming and increased the variety and the liaison with the Sullivan Community Center to offer expanded class options. We love the staff and teachers and the management. We use the workout equipment, attend classes regularly, and love the jacuzzi, pool, dry sauna and steam sauna. The price is right and we use our free guest passes gratefully. This is a gem of our community.

Negative experience: When I signed the annual contract with them this Feb., nobody told me that I can't cancel membership within a year. When I canceled the membership this August, the staff told me that I will be charged for another month, he didn't mention a word that I will be charged continuely for a whole year. I just found out this policy after I was charged today (Oct. 1st). Very very crappy service.

Negative experience: This Review is long overdue but today i had it. The place is clean and staff is nice but if u r a guy like me that goes there mostly for the whirlpool and is close 8 out of 10 times either cause is broken or for maintenance ,mildly said u will be disappointed ,also they will never tell u at the desk if its working or not u got to ask them .

Positive experience: You can cancel after one year being on EFT payment. no issues with cancellation.

Negative experience: It's great they have a zero-depth entry pool, but the children’s play structure is not being maintained (paint is chipping off and huge rust spots). Also the women's locker room was trashed with green slime in the showers. Family changing room was subpar.

Negative experience: The membership is not worth it. The dont want to refund the money if you cancel the membership due to relocation. Staff can do nothing due to the 'policy'. Their system is so old. When you signed up, it is no way you can stop them to charging money from your credit card.

Positive experience: i am a current member and i like the pools and that's about it. the work out area is not appealing and the machines are below average. if it was not for my kids using the pool i would go somewhere else.
