Fantastic experience: The best gym I’ve ever joined!

Fantastic experience: Ryan was magnificent he knows his stuff and got my husband and I Iin with in minutes accepted us like we are family treated us wonderful thank you Ryan for all that you did and that you do your fantastic phenomenal. Fantastic experience: Today I was able to join Odyssey gym again, due to feet surgery I had to stop. I attended 4 years ago, i do have health insurance that pays for the YMCA, Planet Fitness and other gyms but Odyssey is the place to be. I'm disabled but when I go to Odyssey gym, I get my life back. I have been struck by a truck in New York City. I am not too mobile. I use a cane but after 3 month at Odyssey I start to walk regular. The people that work here are very professional. They are humble, kind, respectful, understanding, patient, cordial will I could go on. They have a sauna and this is heaven to me, the ONLY gym in Wilkes-Barre that has a sauna, it was like welcome home, im very happy going to Odyssey it changes my life for the better. Great swimming pool and work out machine. The same gentleman that did the intake 4 years ago, was there to do my intake again, a familer face, I was very happy, I just want to say, thank you Odysse, PS I received a Odyssey tshirt, that is new. Loving it.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gym and amenities in the local area for sure. A little pricey for a day pass but worth the visit. Membership makes it a Littles less. Definitely visit!

Negative experience: The free two months is a way of locking you into a $40 a month, 1 year contract. They don't even give you the full 2 months $10. They said some bullshit about billing cycles and so I only technically get a month and a week, which was not explained to me when I signed up. The entire building smells like chlorine and the mens locker room like kitty litter. Also the hours are just not that good, if your paying $40 a month and work long hours to where by the time you get out it’s closed half the time your better just going to a 24 hour (I should have I didn’t expect to get fully locked into a contract)

Fantastic experience: I have been with Odyssey Fitness for 3.5 years. Although I have gained strength and lost weight I think one of the biggest benefits is the relationships I have formed with the trainers and fellow clients. I appreciate the way the trainers strive to get to know each client personally and encourage the development of relationships in order for members to support each other outside of sessions! I can't recommend Odyssey highly enough!

Fantastic experience: This gym is the best bang for your buck they have everything. I use the sauna a lot and have found my health is already improving quite a bit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tons of equipment and the only gym in the area with an indoor pool.

Fantastic experience: My name is Patrick Wesley, and humbly speaking, I am a Customer Service Expert. It is pretty rare that I get blown away by someone’s customer service but that happed to me tonight at Oddessy. From the moment I walked in the door and met with Ryan I felt right at home. His smile and positive energy was greatly appreciated. Ryan took the time to give me a very informative tour and he was very passionate. He got me all signed up in about five minutes and now I am a member! Thank you for being excellent Ryan! I am excited to get my first six pack here in three months. That is my goal and thanks to Ryan it will become a reality.

Fantastic experience: Awesome staff, wonderful trainers!! The gym is HUGE, a place for EVERYONE! Family day, bring a friend, tons of challenges, fun programs and events!! The equipment is clean, in great working order, safe and there's enough to accommodate everyone, they have a 3 track, indoor walking/running track....the pool is super clean and the temperature is perfect, as is the hot tub, stream room, sauna, tanning bed and locker rooms....highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Not the prettiest gym but still the best gym in the Wilkes Barre area. They got more amenities than any other gym & have kept their price at $45 a month even thru out inflation l. Other gyms that charge similar dont have the pool, basketball court, tennis court, etc. I recommend this gym to all my friends.

Negative experience: the staff is horrible, specially greta blake and when i called and spoke to the owner colton he disrespected and disregarded my complaint on how greta handled herself and he hung up on me i would not recommend this place

Positive experience: I've been going here for about 2-3 months now. Overall I would say it's worth the money. Plenty of room and equipment. They also have a pool, sauna, basketball court, free weights, cables, Olympic weights, classes, and a tennis court. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you in any way possible. The members understand *most* gym etiquette. My only problem is some of the benches and equipment are rather old and need to be updated. Other than that, it's a great place to work out.

Fantastic experience: This gym is one of my favorite locations! I walk in knowing I have so many options to choose from when it comes to my workouts. The atmosphere is amazing. I’ve never had a bad vibe here. I’ve recommended so many friends here and they’ve had great experiences as well! Look no further, you’re next gym is here!

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout! The staff is super friendly as well as the members that go here. This place has so much to offer from a cardio room, swimming pool, steam room, sauna, to a basketball court and a tennis court. After getting a membership here, I would never think twice about going somewhere else!

Fantastic experience: This is probably one of the most complex and ideal gyms for anyone trying to accomplish anything in the fitness space. The variety of equipment is truly unmatched to a lot of the gyms I have gone too. The environment there is nothing but motivated people pushing eachother up, never had an ounce of discomfort at this gym and I could go there for any type of workout I was choosing to pursue that day whether it was lifting weights, cardio, calisthenics, you name it they got it. Would strongly recommend to newer gym goers, average gym goers, and especially everyday gym goers. Energy is unmatched and just overall a fantastic place to be.

Positive experience: Very big facility with lots to offer. Large pool for laps with several lanes. Hot large ja uzzi and a steam room. Basket ball court whi h is full size for multiple pick up games. Boxing area including 2 working speed bags, multiple heavy bags, a timer and a fo us bag. Lots of weight equipment both old and new. Bikes and all types of classes . Seem to have everything here but it's expensive. $20.00 per day when other gyms harge near that a month.

Negative experience: Was given a few “free” day passes from one of the sales members and when tried to use, was denied and asked to pay $20. Recommend you find a different gym

Fantastic experience: Undisputedly the best gym in the greater Wilkes-Barre/ Back Mountain area. When in town I drive all the way from the far side of Dallas, totally worth the extra commute. No other gym has a lap pool, sauna, steam room, basketball courts, boxing room, tennis, etc in the area. There is also plenty of weight room space so you do not have to be on top of other customers. Staff is amazing as well.

Fantastic experience: Odyssey Fitness Center is the best option I’ve found in the area for gyms. The most welcome I’ve ever felt in coming to look at the gym. Ryan was excellent and very helpful too! The Aquatic Fitness class was fun and a great workout with a great group of ladies too! I’d definitely recommend them for anyone. They have it all!!!

Positive experience: Truly remarkable space, with nearly every piece of equipment or device imaginable. Professional and friendly staff. You can do anything you want, it’s an athlete’s dream come true. Would give it 5 stars but cleanliness is an issue. Locker rooms could be a bit cleaner, especially the shower curtains. Just wear some slippers and try to keep your stuff off the ground!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend for anyone to sign up for Odyssey Fitness it’s inexpensive, very spacious, and has all amenities needed to workout for all types of activities. I honestly think it’s way better than La Fitness and planet fitness in my opinion!!! & lastly I would like to give a big thanks to Ryan for showing me around the facility and helping me with getting a membership great guy!!!

Fantastic experience: It's one of my favorite places. Happiness does come in a gym. Mini in-house Triathlon with my coworker who inspires everyone to greatness. Anyone can do it. Indoor track makes it even easier. Love Dave's classes...hard core. Brian's are hard core in a different way. Zumba is a lot of fun if that's your thing, and their enthusiasm has helped me obtain some healing. The pool is very nice. There is lots of space, and there are many equipment areas, massage chairs, saunas, steam rooms etc. It's just a wonderful place... because of the people too.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym with lots of workout options for all ages and levels. Plus we swim, hot tub and steam room quite often.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! There’s nothing that they don’t have! To classes to weights to a pool and even a girls only gym! Only been there for two weeks and already lost 3 pounds by just having fun with Zumba and discovering other classes I didn’t even knew about. Price is worth it

Negative experience: I love the gym but I recently started bringing younger brother with me and he was sent a free day pass in the mail after going with me a couple times. I thought that was nice so today I tried to take him in but he forgot his ID so we weren’t allowed in. I was told the id was needed in case he caused trouble which didn’t make complete sense to me because the day pass had his name and address on it plus he was just there with me last week he should of already be on file. Amazing gym by the way I just think we should’ve been able to work out.

Negative experience: Got the free day pass from their website so we thought we'd check it out since we're about a 30 minute drive away. Upon entering it's quite overwhelming. The place is huge. It's broken up into quite a few separate rooms which is nice as it keeps people disbursed. One issue we noticed was how hot it is in there because the pool is located in the center of the building. Dress lightly. The equipment is greatly affected by the heat and humidity from the pool. Bars, plates and even the cable equipment don't work smoothly because of rust from the humidity. We had rust stains on our clothes after training. The locker rooms were clean and the staff seemed friendly. Will not return due to the equipment conditions and lack of maintenance on them.

Fantastic experience: Incredible gym!!! One of the best I’ve been to. So many workout options and equipment and wonderful friendly staff and space. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I wish I would have listened to the other reviews talking about canceling services. They make you come in and sign a form to cancel and are quite nice about it. Till you get a cancelation bill for HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS in the mail! Stating you have 5 business days to pay or they disregard your cancelation request and continue charging you. Absolutely ridiculous. The gym is fine itself but their policies are awful with this. I do not recommend this gym. Go somewhere where you have the freedom to leave if life changes. And life always changes. They don't care. They just want your money.

Fantastic experience: I recently decided that I needed to join a gym with summer quickly approaching. I looked around at a few gyms and decided on Odyssey. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with all smiles and friendly faces. I was taken on a tour through the gym, which I thought was very clean and up to date. I was really surprised at all the equipment, classes, and amenities that Odyssey has to offer! I can't wait to start working out there!!!

Fantastic experience: I actually feel completely different about this club! This club offers the most Group Fit LesMILLS classes in the area! The instructors are phenomenal and the personal trainers are extremely helpful. I get greeted every day by the front desk staff and they actually know my name by conversations. The protein smoothies are delicious and I love the free samples the front desk supplies. I would most definitely recommend this club to anyone who is looking for a friendly atmosphere and options to their workouts! I don't think the equipment is that outdated? They recently just received a new stair climb machine which is awesome!!! Another plus to the club is that their women's locker room is exceptionally clean and I love that they provide GOOD hair dryers for members to use. I work out in the morning before work and sometimes I forget to bring that in my gym bag. I feel that I am most definitely getting my money's worth :)

Fantastic experience: I've recently become a member at Odyssey, and I think this gym has it all. The facilities are clean and spacious, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to experiencing everything Odyssey has to offer.

Fantastic experience: Odyssey is definitely one of the premier gyms in NEPA. From the first second you walk in, you know you have a great workout ahead of you. The equipment is top of the line.. as well as the extremely helpful staff. I was never big into working out until I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Prior to joining Odyssey Fitness, I struggled to find a clean facility where I could swim laps. Odyssey's pool is consistently clean and clear, and their locker rooms are always spotless. I am also very impressed by the aquatics options offered by the gym for members, making it very family friendly! I'd highly recommend this sports club to anyone!

Negative experience: The worst place ever! I just spoke with someone who was so rude and negligent I can't even billve it! I've been member for one year where before I sign my contract & the girl who was helping me she told me after one year I have to renew my membership!!. Well it turned out they're still charging my bank account not even calling & remind me my contract was over, and do I would like to continue to be a member or not? So the guy gets on the phone no apologies no I'm sorry was extremely rude and nasty and just told me ,,all right all right I'll discontinue right now,, I'm totally shocked how they could treat people and customers so badly and not even offer to refund 2 months payment which illegally has ben taken from my bank account I heard before lots of complaints about this place and people wasn't wrong! How long gets through Odyssey with my 2 month payment??? I don't think your business going to be around too long!!! Worst experience ever!!!

Fantastic experience: This place is huge. Lotta machines and free weights. It’s clean and people are courteous. When I mean it’s huge, I really mean it. Like you think you’ve seen the entire gym and then boom, there is a football turf. I was looking for a gym and this place was stellar. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Protein shakes were good too.

Positive experience: Love this gym and all of its amenities available along with their equipment. Only gripe I have is their Wi-Fi capabilities. Since it’s below ground there’s no cell service with available Wi-Fi which is VERY spotty and cuts out very often leaving you with nothing. But overall awesome gym with an awesome pool.

Positive experience: Great gym, staff, and decently priced. I would rate 5 stars if it opened a little earlier than 5:30am. I don’t get to enjoy the facility as long as I would like due to my work schedule.

Negative experience: Employees don't follow covid guidelines but require you to. The pool and every other area are terribly filthy. They wear their masks on their chin and scold everyone else.

Negative experience: Not letting out of state residents become a member. For some thats fine. But for some who are like me that need to lift to sustain happiness, its incomprehensable to deny access no matter the situation. -5 stars

Negative experience: Called to dispute my contract for last year due to Pandemic. The customer service was horrible. The billing department David was very rude on the phone .The lack of communication and Professional skills was very surprising today. . Take nothing from the gym very nice gym however today was disappointing. Need to hire better services .

Fantastic experience: Odyssey Fitness is a one stop shop for all your fitness needs. Want to hit the weights hard? They have benches power racks, deadlift platforms, and all the free weights you need. Need to warm up first? They have both treadmills and an indoor track. Need to cool off after your session? They have an indoor pool. Want to sweat it it instead? hit up the sauna.

Fantastic experience: Best in the area when it comes to a gym that can offer great variety. Has group classes and knowledgeable trainers for beginners. Two well equipped weight lifting areas. Track, pool, and stationary bikes. Kettlebells, sleds, and beyond for functional fitness nuts. Personally, I’ve been searching for a gym for OCR training and Odyssey is the best in NEPA

Negative experience: Pool is toooo cold and I have complained more than once about it. Also the surrounding area where you have to walk is always wet and the puddles look dirty! Not to mention the pool.

Fantastic experience: I started with Odyssey getting day passes because I wasnt sure I would like it. I have done other gyms and always felt "weird" and "out of place" I feel super comfortable going to odyssey. I had my training session with Krista, it was amazing! As a beginner, I never understood machines, how they work, what they work, and at different places no one would ever explain if I asked. My first day at odyssey Krista went over everything I needed, and put together a workout plan with me specifically for my body. I didnt feel rushed, or like she had better things to do, she actually kept saying im so sorry if im keeping you. She took the time to make sure I understood. She also had me do the machines to ensure my posture was good, and helped me correct any bad posture I did. Which was what I needed. I just had 2 abdominal surgeries, and altogether 8 surgeries from a head on collision with an under the influence driver in 2014 at 60 mph, so I am beginners beginner. She had the knowledge of "Ok so your going to avoid this machine , stay away from that machine until you can build up the muscles for this, or that". Also, the environment like other members are all friendly from the body builders- all muscular (which i would normally be intimidated lol) down to elderly people. I seen some people leaving reviews had a horrible experience, and I am so sorry they did. If you are like me, below a beginner, go here! The cost is more than planet fitness, but believe me, it is sooo worth it.

Fantastic experience: This is "Athletic" club , where you can do cross fit, raw lifting, also small room with boxing equipment. Basketball court , tennis court and raquetball.

Fantastic experience: Good place a little expensive. But great place. Lots equipment, a indoor track, class you can join in on. An open indoor football field where you can do different trials. There staff are very nice and willing to help out. Have many different trainers that specializes in certain types of styles of exercise. I would recommend this place.
