Negative experience: Pros - Rarely crowded. Cons - Honestly it was the dirtiest gym I've been to. Only one staff member made an effort to clean and when he left, it went down hill.

Fantastic experience: I have been here for over a year now and I can say that with the new management many negative situations that have even affected me (my account kept building up late fees and I would receive calls) do not happen anymore and there is clear communication. The jiujitsu classes and boxing are my favorite to go to

Negative experience: Edit: Look at the distribution of reviews. Any establishment with this many 1 star reviews is a huge red flag. Don't get scammed by these people. Do not give these people your money, all they care about is signups and if you have even a slight issue you will get nothing. I lost $300 through no fault of my own due to their incompetence and unwillingness to help. Don't go here, you will regret it at some point.

Negative experience: Beware! They keep charging me after I’ve requested several times to cancel my membership. I moved out of the area, not near a ufc gym. Called numerous times and left numerous voicemails, no one calls you back. Finally someone answered the phone a month later, and I explained the situation of moving away. He said I have to email to cancel, no cuz when I emailed they said the gym has to cancel. He took my info down and said he would cancel the membership…just got charged again. Dishonest, greedy ownership. If you had an upstanding gym you wouldn’t need to hang on to my measly $70, because you’d have more members. Dear ownership DO NOT REPLY to this review by telling me to call so you can ‘address my concerns’. Nobody answers the phone there and if they do, they don’t do what they say they’re going to do. Go find another gym, this one doesn’t deserve your hard earned dollars

Negative experience: Dishonest. Canceled my membership over the phone. They never canceled it. Called again. Guy said he would take care of it. Never got canceled. So I deactivated the card. Now I get automated phone calls asking me to update my information so they can keep taking money from me what a joke.

Fantastic experience: Looked into the gym for my son and I’m considering joining myself as well. I was given great customer service all my questions were answered and I look forward to bringing my son to boxing and jujitsu class while I get a little workout in at the same time.

Negative experience: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tried canceling two memberships with multiple false promises of getting documents sent by email as a follow-up of the cancelation. Never got anything after asking multiple times in person to the manager Rudy. Was given the run around so he didn't have to deal with me. Even asked in an email with no response. I still get calls to this day with voicemails of UFC gym trying to charge my card even though we are no longer members. I finally went back in person, but there was no real response from Rudy except him being ABSOLUTELY RUDE. No customer service at all. His attitude was as if I was bothering him about my money. It was so bad to the point where a gym member was walking out the door, and Rudy CUT ME OFF TO ASK. "Are we done with this?" Because he wanted to talk to the guy leaving. I couldn't believe there was no solution, no answer to any of my questions, he looked as if I was bothering him to do his manager job, and the fact that he rudely cut me off to talk to someone else without actually solving the issue was disgusting. He dismissed me and the issue quickly and kept saying, "Yeah, I don't know, I don't know." Yet he's the manager and the one who told me to email the cancelation, and he will email a verification of cancelation. Something I never got and still don't have. He finally showed me the transactions, and I had to make sense of this mid conversation myself, as he kept saying, "Yeah, I guess that's what happened. I'll email the owner." As if my question was ruining his day, and he couldn't be bothered. How are you a manager and don't know how to do your job or, at the very least, provide good customer service in a customer service role? Bottom line, I would NEVER recommend this gym for the sole purpose of how terrible the billing and customer service are. Rudy is RUDE!

Negative experience: This is the only gym I’ve ever been to that allows their members to smash weights on the ground. Witnessed somebody drop more than 100 lbs from their shoulders and staff did nothing. Go there if you want to work out among earthquakes.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. They don’t even know how to say “hello how are you?” When they answer the phone and didn’t seem interested in having any new members joined or try out their boxing class. He advised we had to buy our own gloves. Sorry, but for a all gym I’m left feeling like they aren’t interested in having me as a customer and can’t be bothered to help me.

Negative experience: The barcode scanner that is supposed to open the doors outside of regular business hours rarely works. So you pay for hours you can’t use. Their app doesn’t work either. The customer service number they provide to troubleshoot doesn’t work. They’ve twice said they’d reduce my membership fee since I don’t plan on using classes. The change hasn’t gone through either time.

Negative experience: I was attempting to get information on classes and pricing , so I went to their website and that told me all I needed to know about the gym. I clicked on classes then schedules and not one thing popped up, no information about class times or pricing . What kind of sketchy clown show is being ran here? Why have a website that is completely useless , they are obviously just using the UFC name to sell memberships. It sucks cause I work a couple miles away and was looking for a gym to train but maybe its a blessing in disguise because after reading the reviews , I am amazed that it is still open

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for over two years. I started back when it was Tapout and during the pandemic. I’ve watched it go through some wild changes but I can say right now is the best it has been. They are still figuring things out with the recent change but I recommend going in person. Super helpful, super friendly, always a good workout

Negative experience: Worst gym experience ever. Definitely KEEP A WRITTEN RECORD of your membership-related conversations because they don’t track anything (unless it’s your credit card info). General Manager Earl is a highly unprofessional, unethical and obnoxious person who’s proven through every interaction that he is unfit to be both a manager as well as a customer-facing employee. This guy doesn’t have the guts or decency to have a civilized conversation through either phone or email. My experience aligns with so many of the reviews here – asked to withdraw my membership and got charged thrice afterwards; here are the fabricated reasons: (1) “there’s a 30 day notice period” (Earl told me the notice period is flexible but obviously shouldn’t have taken his word for it); (2) “can’t downgrade your unlimited pass” (no reason specified except that once they figured out I’m leaving, they want to extort as much money as possible); (3) “you mentioned in a conversation you’re still thinking about it so you got charged another month” (RIDICULOUS and FALSE claim – even though I have written proof I requested to end my membership months ago and haven’t been to the gym since). Members AND staff – your time & energy is better spent elsewhere; there are WAY better facilities out there! This is an extremely toxic manager who does not care about the customer at all. One star is one too many. Several other reasons not to sign up: • Equipment is seldom wiped clean after workouts • Classes are usually cancelled or posted with wrong information • Machines are old and creaky

Negative experience: Not crowded, that's why 2 stars. Equipment choices are minimal, no showers, no communication from management during Covid to let their clientele know when they will be closing/opening, can be very frustrating considering members pay anywhere from 70 to 100 a month.

Negative experience: This has been the worst gym experience of my life. They do not email you confirmation of your membership and make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership, after calling several times an associate told me you can only cancel when the manager is in and he couldn’t help me. I called back for a week but no one answered and their mail box was full. Finally more than a week later I spoke to a different associate and they told me I needed to cancel over email instead and that took days to get a response only to have them claim I didn’t have the monthly pass I signed up for but an annual pass instead. This has been the worst gym experience of my life. CONSIDER JOINING A DIFFERENT GYM. I would give a zero star rating if I could.

Positive experience: They manage to pack a lot into a small space. During my year-long subscription I alternated between lifting, cardio, and boxing seamlessly. Chelsea was a great boxing trainer- very motivating and you can see she loves what she does. Was cool to be trained by someone with an actual K.O. pedigree! Also, this is the only gym I've subscribed to where I never assumed I'd have to wait for popular equipment (squat rack, bench press). And if you do have to wait, it's usually not terrible. Benefit of being in a small area like Alameda. Some of the highschool or fresh out of school kids that come in are annoying (taking their shirts off and posing, slapping each other around), but it's not the end of the world. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym! It is very clean with a lot of workout equipment. The staff is very nice, they are great instructors. They are very experienced and teach people of all levels. The classes will give you a great workout. You will have a great time at this gym.

Positive experience: cool trainer and they got all the equipment I wanted for boxing but from all of the reviews they seem to have some other management issues specifically about the general manager and charging even after a membership were cancelled and giving people copy and pasted responses but so far I've had a pretty good experience would rate 3.5 but u cant 11/27/21

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Tapout. It is as a multi faceted gym with plenty of workout equipment options to satisfy all levels of fitness. And they have some the best fitness and boxing classes on the island! Plus a great staff and a super spacious clean space.

Negative experience: This gym started off promising, but the management has gone down hill. There was no communication sent to members for months at the start of COVID while monthly dues were still collected. The current management has been slow and uncooperative to address account cancelation. Buyer beware and watch your money with this place. The two stars are for the instructors like Greg and others who work hard to provide group instruction. The facility is also new and nice (for now.)

Positive experience: unfortunately, the staff rarely is at the desk, and there is not a consistent supply of cleaning products. Equipment is frequently left out for hours on end. Moreover, clients often film videos while other clients are working out, and I wish the staff would step in and ask them to stop.

Negative experience: Garbage policies from a trash gym. Stealing people's money is not cool, in what world is it okay to continue to charge members and not render any services? DON'T GO HERE! They cannot follow simple instructions and don't care about their members. You would be better served to go anywhere but here.

Having the bus drive by every time I head home is just the motivation I need to hop off and go in for a workout after. Love it!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. POC owned all gender welcome space. Its super clean from floors to equipment. The classes are great I am definitely motivated in a positive and safe way to meet my goals. No ones judging you and staff is happy and active. I feel hella good about working out here.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! Have had memberships at other gyms but they never quite felt as comfortable as this one does. The staff is super friendly, the coaches are motivational af! (They really know their stuff, are super dedicated to the class, and the group classes always feel challenging), and the space is always clean. The gym is not big but there is enough equipment and space to do what you need to get done and there is no creepers! There are two bathrooms, two showers, no lockers but they do have a designated place where you can put your stuff down, and they provide towels. Totally reccomend it if your trying to get fit, challenged, and have an all around good time while burning some calories!

Positive experience: Always a great workout in a clean, friendly environment. If you haven't taken a class with Greg, John, or Hail....do it...this week! You won't regret it. I prefer this gym because it fits my workout available times, my need for clean, and a facility that allows me to work out on my own as well as explore classes if I want. Boxing can be intimidating, but this facility offers much more.

Fantastic experience: The place is nice and very well organized. They offer you a towel to train and a towel to get the shower. In the shower there is shampoo and soap too. I never had problems to find place to park and from 6pm the parking is free. The gym is not overcrowded even during the peak hours. We were in Alameda for few days and we had 3 days in a row for free and then we payed 10$ daily. It’s nice, I recommend it.

Negative experience: While I was seriously seeking my first steady fitness program (& walking) this spot was on my list for West Alameda (where I grew up decades ago) and I was greeted by a female just inside the door, no smile, just devoid of kindness! I did manage to ask 2 questions yet she appeared to be annoyed, I felt as if I was in her way, I will NEVER EVER return there, THAT employee needs to be replaced asap !!! Born here.....I don't recall ever being treated so rudely so Good Luck you people!!

Positive experience: Small gym with modern equipment. Comes with two bathrooms and two separate shower rooms. No lockers, but cubby holes provided. Has A/C. Towels are provided. Nice bags and boxing equipment. A matted mirrored area for rolling. Cost: 588$ up front for 49$ a month. 59$ monthly. Gym use only. 24/7 access is additional 25$ a month Classes are I believe 90$ including gym fee. Parking is a nightmare, so be prepared to walk.
